Firestone have been good in the past! I will never return to this Firestone. There was five customers deep and the manager who seemed to be frightened of us would not enter the lobby and help us. Austin a employee was doing his best to help us as fast as he could with no help from Alex the (manager)! The tech got in my truck with dirty hands and no seat covers. Alex the manager apologized and tried to justify him not washing his hands and getting in my truck dirty. Really! He also stated that my steering wheel was already dirty! Really! Alex also offered oil change free for my dirty car after insulting me! If I would of just looked at reviews I would have never gone there! Had I read the reviews; I would have never gone there! This has been the second time I receive horrible service from the "Manager" Daniel. 1st time was over the phone when I scheduled a Saturday appointment online. He called me and rudely said we don't have nothing for Saturday but I'm putting you down for tomorrow at 12:30 on a Tuesday, I said I can't because I work so he didn't care. 2nd today Sunday Sept 3rd, I went in and said I need some tires just don't know how many, nobody in line him just sitting down just straight up told me "if you have time to wait about 2 hours we can inspect your tires" I said 2 hours just to tell me how many tires I need? He replied yes or I can make an appt, I said I work Monday thru Friday so I can't I them said you guys are very rude her but I guess I'll wait as much as I can so he responds "just for that comment we're not gonna be able to help you today" I asked for the manager and he responded it was him so I told him I would call corporate on Tuesday which I will. This location is open nice and early. Easy to find on corner of Ramon and Whispering Palms in Cathedral City. If you're heading east on Ramon Rd it is after bridge on left. Asked for them to flush and bleed my brakes and do an alignment. quoted $120 for the alignment (non-lifetime one) and 90 or 99 or something for the brake flush. I started pulling out the 230-something he said pay after. ok got picked up from a family member 3 hours later ive been in the shop for the last half hour and they say hey we can't do your alignment, I was like why not? he said o you have no brakes. I'm like I do they have air in the lines I wanted a flush and for you to bleed them. he said o well we can do that then do your alignment, have you out of here in about 3 hours I'm like, what did you think plan A was genius? I started a whole profile with my address and number, you didn't think to call? and the brakes were soft, explained the whole issue to you prior to giving you the keys, you saw it for yourself when you got the miles off the dash. I had soft brakes but obviously i drove here and drove this car 400 miles from where I bought it last week, and I drove it home again after leaving right then and there. waste of my very few days I do get off during tire/alignment shop hours. can't believe I came in for a brake job and alignment just so that 3 hours later I can be told they can't do my alignment cause my brakes... now I definitely don't want y'all working on anything, no communication, no sense, straight waste of my time read more

The 2" tear on the rear run-flat tire along the I-10 while driving 80 mph on a Sunday morning isn't fun :-( I called Firestone and asked some questions: --are you open? --do you have 2 tires for my Bimmer --can you change them? --NOW? I have taken my SUV several times, and they did the work before asking me if they should move forward. There was a sound & I was not sure what it was. I said might be a bearing, so what did they do? They replaced my bearing without coming to say it was or was not the bearing. So, after that work was done the car had the same sound, so they replaced the baring without confirming that was the noise. Lastly over the years we as customers had to be sure not to leave anything in the car that someone might steal. As time has passed, I have had nothing stolen from my car for over twenty years. But the other day someone working for Firestone stole two things from my car, the value of over $75.00. Having trust in a company will make or break said company if this continues to happen. -5 stars! TOTAL RIP OFF!!! What they diagnosed correctly (lower control arms) was completely overpriced $720. They recommended front and rear brakes as well as a battery corrosion service. However, a reputable mechanic looked at my car and determined that a battery corrosion service was not needed, that my front brakes were still at 90% and my rear brakes were at 40%. He did the lower control arms, a transmission flush (which was actually needed and Firestone missed) and an alignment for under $700. Firestone wanted over a $1,000 just for the lower control arms and an alignment. I don't know what bothers me more....the price gouging or their blatant recommendations of services that were not needed. I will definitely be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this place. Do NOT under any circumstances bring your car to these scam artists! read more

So I think this store can be expensive but you know sometimes you have to pay to have your car work. Well I don't recommend using this store because if you have to pay a lot I would not want the one working on my car to be drinking on the job. I was going to go there but I decided to stop at circle k first and as I was getting soda I looked over to see the store clerk hand the tech a bottle of liquor to put in his coffee. After failing at 2 places I finally googled shops near me. I gave Firestone a call as they were getting ready to close and I got Josh. "I got you" he said. While waiting Josh educated me on their tires and packages they have. I realized I probably should have tried them sooner. Surprisingly good prices on tires. I went to fire stone in cathedral city California and I went for a alignment the first time they did it right but my steering was off then I went back to get it re aligned then the second time they actually made it even worse to the point where my traction control was all messed up and made sure to mess up my alignmeant in the front because my wheels where old already but not fully worn so they where messed up on purpose to make sure I got new tires from them soon again because I see them burning out fast when my back was the only one not aligned by far the worst crooked company there is at least this location read more

I have to admit, when I first went here a couple of years ago I was not happy with the service or the prices. But I went here again recently to get another oil change and have all my tires replaced and I got great service and they gave me great prices. But it helps that I went with my mother-in-law, who has been giving them service for years and always comes in knowing exactly what she wants. It always sucks going to a tire and oil place for the first few times, unfortunately. But like my mother-in-law says, once they realize that they have your business, they are going to do what they can to keep you. And they can definitely have their off days! Service can change when managers come and go, which can be a pain. And they once broke my mother-in-law's hubcap key and weren't very apologetic about it. It took her a month to find a replacement hubcap key! Oh! And be sure to check the tables at the waiting area to see if they have any coupons you can possibly use that day. read more

I purchased a new set of 4 tires From Firestone Tires in Cathedral, Ca. about a year ago. I got the extended warranty because the salesman said it also covered the free rotation & balancing & alignment every time I came in for service. Lie#1. I picked up a screw in the tread of the tire, which I took back to Firestone, This was President's Day weekend. Service Tech Kevin waited on me, they were very busy so I had to leave it there the full day it took,He finally called and told me the tire could not be fixed and that it was ruined, and did not have the tire there, so he wanted to keep my car for 4 days but he did not say that either. he said possibly Sunday knowing the Firestone warehouse did not open until Tuesday. They refused to put my spare tire on until I could get a new tire, $140.00 dollars later I got a new tire under warranty from Firestone.I asked to keep the old tire, and I took it to Americas's Tire to see if they could fix it. They could ,but it did not need fixing at all the screw never punctured the tire. that's lie #2&3. 3 strikes and your out Firestone. Had front brake pads and rotors replaced and they continued to squeak months later. Took the car back to have them take a look and of course they said the problems was with the REAR brake pads so not only did they not fix the squeak, they recommended that the rotors, pads and all four tires needed to be replaced for over $1,200. We already had a service appointment with the dealer the following day so we took our still squeaky car and their inspection showed that none of the 'recommended' services were needed and they fixed the squeak for no charge. Dealers aren't exactly known for not recommended work if it is needed!! Don't know which is more disturbing: not repairing an issue with their work or proposing work that isn't necessary. Get a second opinion before having work done here and take their '12 month warranty' for what it appears to be!! read more

I was hesitant to write this review because at least at this location, they were pretty nice. First appointment, I waited for hours, even though I had an appointment at 11 am. I was the last one there that day and finally left at 5:30 pm. I went in to have my tire pressure looked at after getting four new tires at another Firestone location. They told me my tires had not been balanced, and they did it for me. I left that day, and actually ended up bringing my car elsewhere for a brake problem. They fixed my brakes, and mentioned that my tires were unbalanced and not aligned. So I went back to Firestone and spoke to the manager, and he said they would do it for free since it wasn't done properly the first time. Fast forward to about a month later, I went to my local Honda dealership for a different problem and they told me that my tires are not aligned or balanced. This Firestone now twice has told me that they did these services and seemingly did not complete them. read more

Called this place to get my battery and alternator checked. They said they'd be able to take care of me if I came. So I drive 25 minutes out of my way to arrive here. Once I arrived, the employee at the front said they didn't have time for me. Why tell me that I can come by and be taken care if you're just going to waste my time while I have my family in the car. I had a simple flat tire drove in and the guy working there was very help full. He was so help fully he told me I needed a new tire with out looking at it!! So he looks at it and tells me the nail is to close to wall of tire which it wasn't. Then I explain to him that I've got tires fix like this many times before. He tells me it's Company policy to not repair tires. Wow this place is Not that friendly tire place it portrays on ads Never will I return to a Firestone tire center. I went in to get an oil change after they did the oil change after 30 minutes they said they were waiting on an air filter that I needed an air filter for my car I said OK so I waited another half hour no air filter or we're waiting on the park to come from one of the parts stores I said forget it I've already been here an hour I'm not waiting any longer so I have gone 5000 miles and went to go get another oil change at big O tires across the street where honest people work I told him I needed an air filter he checked the air filter and said no you don't it's clean as can be and I said well how can that be fire stone told me I needed one six months ago he said let me check again know your air filter is clean I said OK Fire stone is a rip off they try to rob you tell you you need things you don't need go someplace where honest people are big O tires go to big O tires they're honest they don't overcharge you they don't tell you you need stuff you don't need read more

Had my car towed here when it broke down in Palm Springs. Decided to have the A/C looked at also, as the last place screwed it up when they changed my thermostat (long story). At first the manager said their machine was acting up intermittently, and they may not be able to do anything. Richard, the mechanic that actually worked on the car was terrific. Previously had good service but the last 2 times, not so much. Took the car in because it was difficult to shift and was told there was nothing wrong. Couldn't get in Reverse without 2 hands. Took it to AAMCO and they replaced the linkage (while I watched) which was broken. Then the car was stalling, last year they replaced a censor and I thought it was probably the same thing, took it to Firestone and was told that I needed a new AC compressor for $1200 and that there was no guarantee that would fix it. Asked for a copy of the diagnoses and was told it was "on the house" but received no paperwork. Took it to Chuck's automotive and wella, it was a censor and 4 spark plugs were miss firing...for under $300, Cannot imagine I even considered replacing the compressor for over a thousand without a guarantee but I knew in my gut it wasn't the a/c. My friends and I were spending the weekend in joshua tree and salton sea and some rocks dislodged the engine guard of our car and we heard a concerning flapping noise. Firestone was the only place open on a Sunday in the area. Daniel was super friendly and professional and was even kind enough to participate in our snapchats of the detour!
