Starting with the pros... the technician was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and seemed to really care about his service! I had an appointment at 1pm to get an oil change. I got there a bit early, probably around 12:45. I didn't walk out the door get go home until 2:45. Two hours for an oil change!! I think they need to work on their scheduling so that something like this doesn't happen. Clean place, nice staff, average price. I would recommend, but I wouldn't wait around. Would be better to drop off and leave your vehicle. Next time I'm going to check out Take 5. read more

Although I appreciate the guys fixing 1 tire, I got charged double bc I had two small nails in my tire. So the repair on 1 tire is almost $70. I went to Gerald's and they just repaired for free. I expected to pay something, but not almost the cost of a brand new tire. I told several friends and they said they usually repair the tire for free or nominal charge. Definitely never coming back here to get screwed. Sad part is I've bought tires from Firestone on two of my vehicles and had Firestone put tires on my vehicles. No more. read more

This was the worst experience I have had in terms of customer service -- and more importantly, in the character and conduct of staff in leadership positions.During my interaction the staff not only provided false information, but repeatedly attempted to shift blame onto others instead of owning their mistakes. That behavior is unacceptable for any organization, and I am deeply concerned that such conduct has been tolerated and even promoted.I request a full investigation into this location and the managers involved, and I ask that you share the findings and any corrective actions with me. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a car repair shop. I initially took my car in because the check engine light was on. Firestone "repaired" the issue and assured me that everything was fixed. Just 2-3 days later, the light came back on. After already spending around $2,000, I brought it back, and they told me this time it was the catalytic converter--an additional $1,080 repair. Then, two hours later, they called to say my car was ready and that, actually, it wasn't the catalytic converter after all. Instead, they admitted that their own mistake--knocking something loose during the first repair--was likely the cause. Fast forward another week, and the check engine light turns on again. Now, they claim it is the catalytic converter, but this time, the price has mysteriously increased to $1,880--$800 more than before. When I voiced my concerns about their misdiagnoses, constant price changes, and overall incompetence, instead of apologizing or offering any accountability, they told me to "calm down." The staff was shockingly rude and unprofessional, showing zero concern for customer satisfaction or actually fixing my car. Firestone is only interested in taking your money, not providing honest service. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and financial loss--go somewhere else. Also, if you scroll to all the other 1 star reviews, they give you the same robotic response telling you to email @socialcare@bfrc.com. They will then never respond to you on that email. I had an appointment for an alignment at the Firestone location on Savannah Highway in Charleston, SC (852 Savannah Hwy, Charleston, SC 29407, store #005363) that I had set up earlier in the week for an 11 AM drop off on January 17th.  The request was to perform an alignment and relearn the TPMS system.  I dropped off the vehicle at 10:50 AM and was told that they would give me a call when the vehicle was ready.  I had not heard from the store by 3:30 PM and called to inquire about status.  I was informed that the technicians had not got to the vehicle yet and they would be working on it soon.  I called back at 6:00 PM and inquired about the status, and was told that it was going to be another 15 minutes.  When I showed up to collect the vehicle and settle the bill, there was no apology or explanation offered as to why it took 7 hours for this simple request to be done, the person at the checkout counter didn't even address me as I walked in.  I then got the reading of the alignment and discovered that the camber had not been adjusted from the initial reading.  When I asked about that the technician couldn't articulate to me as to why that was, and left me feeling like I had not had an alignment performed in the seven hours Firestone was in possession of my vehicle.  Before I left I expressed that I was extremely dissatisfied with the service and no apology was offered or given. I called the store that night to speak to the Store manager, Kat Valley, and she was already gone for the evening.  I called back today at 1:30 PM to recount this unacceptable experience to them and I was told that "she was not in the store as she went home to let her dog out and she would be back in an hour". I bought the lifetime alignment from Firestone a few years ago and based on the experience I have had with this store I would advise anyone that it is not worth the heartburn. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE service. I made an appointment and received a confirmation email for my appointment the night prior. I was told by the customer service woman (old lady with white hair) that it would "be just a minute." After waiting 1 hour, my car was still not brought back. The old lady was sitting outside not even at the front desk which was unattended. I went outside to get my keys back to take it to another tire shop where she was sitting smoking on a box mod vaporizer. Very professional! *Long Post Alert* After purchasing my 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport, I was advised to take it to this particular Firestone location, on Savannah Hwy. I've since then taken my vehicle there 4x total, twice for service. The other 2 times that I took my vehicle I wasn't able to have it serviced due to being short of technicians or the technician being off until a weekday. I was patient but became fed up with this location after they continuously went around my initial service request (wheel balance & wheel alignment). I figured this was the issue because my complaint was about the shaking of my steering wheel, floor base & seat! After having a Complete Auto Inspection at the 1st visit (4/26/2025), it was determined my wheel/hub bearing needed replacing, so it was replaced. I left thinking okay, maybe the wheel alignment & balance wasn't the issue. (It was never told to or confirmed w/ me, if it was or wasn't) So yes I'm thinking I'm good to go. Nope! The same issues occurred leaving me to take the car back with the same complaint on the MORNING of 4/29/2025. At this visit, another Complete Vehicle Inspection was performed & it was test driven, I was told it's the brake pads & rotors, but they didn't feel any vibrations/shaking. The parts needed to be ordered. Ok, cool let's get the order in, claim submitted to the warranty & fix it. Claim submitted, car was left over night (waiting on the parts) and picked up the following EVENING because the estimated time given (9:30am - 10am) didn't work out. Paid for the complete vehicle inspection, warranty covered everything else. I left with my car hoping this time the issue was fixed. Nope! We are now in May of 2025. I took my car back by to let them know the car is now squealing when I hit the breaks, louder than a school bus (which it wasn't doing before) & that the vibration is still there. Literally felt like a massage chair at the nail salon. That is when I was told they will take a look into it however I couldn't be seen for service that day because they were short staffed on technicians & busy. I took it back the next day, a Saturday & was told the technician wouldn't be in until Monday. At this point I'm irritated. After leaving there was a factory issue with the engine that needed serviced. That took a couple weeks. Got the car back, picked up where I left off with Firestone, I asked one of the technicians if he could at least come outside to look at & listen to the car. He did & said he didn't hear any of the squealing from the brakes. I asked him to verify what exactly was done when they last had my car, he told me that the rotors were replaced. Not the brake pads. I was completely confused because I was told they were replaced, with the rotors, I mean are they not suppose to be replaced with the rotors?? Apparently the warranty didn't cover the brake pads, only the rotors, but why wasn't I notified? I would've covered that on my end. I was offered a free brake inspection if I brought it back. THAT is when I left & decided to make an appointment with the Old Trolley Road location. Guess what! Another vehicle inspection only this time it was a Complete Vehicle Inspection PLUS. It was determined that my brake pads were cracked & rubbing against the new rotors. Ruining them & causing the squeaking sounds & vibrations due to uneven surfaces. Why would they place cracked brake pads on with new rotors? Anywho, new brake pads & rotors (Front & Rear) were needed and replaced. So there you have it. I'd leave zero stars if I had the opportunity. Rude and disrespectful. First time customer with an appt. I came into the lobby where there was one woman on the phone but not talking to anyone. I waited right in front of her patiently for a good few minutes hoping she's at least acknowledge me since I was the only person waiting. She did not. Instead she started texting on her phone while on hold with whoever she was waiting on. She never once acknowledged me. So after a few minutes I went out into the repair area as there was another younger lady at a desk there who kept looking over at me. As I approached her hoping for a tinge of welcome or support she snapped at me 'She's busy right now on the phone. She will be with you when she is done!' So I went back in and waited some more. The lady finally hung up the phone only to pick up another one and dial a number and put it on full blast speaker. She finally made her way over to a computer without ever looking up at me and said. 'Name?' Not....I'm sorry for making you wait or thank you for your patience. She couldn't have been less interested in helping me At this point the other lady came in and I thought maybe she'd come to at least apologize. Nope! She just asked the other lady who was on the phone. At this point I was no longer interested in giving them my business and told them both as much and how rude they had been. No apology, just looked at me as if it didn't matter to them. Such disrespectful non- service. I'll never go back. Only reason I didn't go to the MUCH more professional and kind Gerald's down the street was because they didn't have the equipment. read more

I dropped off my car at 11:30 and they said they'd get to it by 5 when they close. I come back at 4:45 to see they haven't started and it's the next one. This was very inconvenient to wait another 45 minutes as I planned on a quick pick up. They just said short staffed which means too many appointments and promises. Terrible company. Several days ago I left my car keys in the ignition overnight with the car turned on. Not running just turned on. Of course in the morning the car was dead. I called my ridiculously expensive roadside service from USAA. They jump started the vehicle but after a few minutes it shut off again. He repeated the procedure told me to keep my foot on the gas for about 20 minutes & then drive around for 10 or 20 minutes more, but in the morning the car was dead again. I called USAA & had the car towed to Firestone. I called Firestone to let them know that the car was being towed to their shop & I told them what had happened & as an after thought I said, 1 of the headlights go on & off. Could someone check that? Maybe it's a loose wire. The woman I spoke with said that she would call me back after she had a chance to look at the car. I was told by a mechanic from another shop, if the battery was the suspected problem the car would be put on a charger for the better part of a day & then the battery would be checked to see if it was OK or whether it needed to be replaced. The woman at Firestone said they don't do that. All they do is replace the battery. She went on to say, we can't work on your car. There is an electrical drain on your car & we don't handle electrical problems. Your next course of action should be to have your car taken to the dealership. I said, I've been totally ripped off by them before. I'll never go back there, plus the problem is, I left the keys in the ignition turned on & the next morning the car was dead, probably due to the battery being dead. She said well that's up to you but we can't work on the car our battery tester indicates that you have an electrical putting a drain on the battery. This went back & forth for a while. I spoke with 2 other mechanics there who repeated what the woman said. I didn't think USAA would come out a third time for the same problem. I felt like my car was being held hostage all because I left the keys in the ignition over night. Finally the third mechanic agreed to put a new battery into the car. I got a call to come pick up the car. I said, "you put in a new battery & now the car is fine". He said, "Yes the car is ready to be picked up". I thought to myself, the battery may have been fine as well but they want to make the most money can therefore they couldn't be bothered to check it. I was charged $260 for a new battery & installation. I said, "You owe me an apology. Your refusal to work on the car & your insistence that I take the car to the dealership could have cost me more than $1000. She said, "We evaluated the situation & based on that evaluation we gave you our recommendation. Was all of that because I am a 70 year old woman or do they scam people of both genders, young & old?. read more

I really like their up front process and their high level of customer service that they offer here. I came in to get my oil changed because there was a $15 off coupon. On the phone they told me $66 and I ended up still paying $66 because they charged for labor and disposing of oil cartridges and random things which I didn't know about. They also informed me that my battery didn't test well. They told me my battery had bad corrosion which it did, and didnt offer to clean it up or bother to clean it before they tested the battery. So I went to auto zone to get a second opinion and the guy there cleaned some of the corrosion off, which was very nice, and the battery was tested and ended up being just fine. It said "good battery." So nothing was wrong with my battery, firestone just wanted to take advantage of me. Probably never going back because they charge for every little thing. Man working up front was nice but I'll be going elsewhere. read more

Terrible customer service. My daughter had a flat tire and she went to this location ( 852 Savannah Hwy Charleston SC) to get repaired and the girl told her " BMW's don't have spare tires and since it was all wheel drive she would have to buy four tires" I told her where the spare was and as she is pulling it out the girl comes out and says she can't change the spare today. She was very rude. I could hear her over the phone. Daughter has a small air pump and pumped it up and left. This is crazy. They would have had a long term customer had they been honest. I'm in the auto business 200 miles away. It's a shame that there are such scammers out there these days. This employee, the Manager and Firestone should be ashamed of themselves. I replaced 5 very expensive tires with Firestone over a 1 year period. 1 of the 5 wore out within a couple months due to poor alignment and they would not replace it. I was told that it was noted in the computer that "customer requested no inspection". This was not true, which I explained to the manager. I had asked for an alignment when the tire was replaced, but they were too busy and did not have time to do it. After spending over $2000 on tires in a year period, you would think they might just eat the cost and replace the one tire. Not only would they not replace the tire, but the manager of the store was extremely rude. What happened to the days when they included aligning a tire when they installed it? I'll be taking my future business somewhere else! read more

So, as a follow up to my first review, I have to give Firestone Corporate some credit for stepping in and really taking a lot of time to talk to me about the issue and communicate directly with the store manager I dealt with, who then called me to apologize and try and work on what went wrong. They did adjust the labor costs to accurately reflect the hours worked and I couldn't have asked for more in terms of follow up effort based on my displeasure. I'm impressed with the higher-up response of Corporate and glad it actually did involve those at the actual location. They did make an effort to look at how they could prevent things going forward. Will I personally go back? Maybe. But I do hope future customers have a better experience based on the communication that happened and it hopefully is likely. read more

So we got a flat. Lovely screw imbedded in our tire sidewall. Got the run around at Sear's (see review for Sear's); Gerald's, NTB, PepBoys and the rest we stopped at were expensive and had nothing in stock. All we needed was a tire! Then we saw a sign for Firestone! Called Justin and he thankfully had the tire we needed in stock. $120 out the door with road hazard we spent $140 and were done in under an hour. Wish I had gotten my oil changed here yesterday instead of NTB because I wouldn't have wasted a whole 24 hours trying to track one down. Sean called us less than an hour later and we were back out the door on 4 good wheels and not any lighter in the pocket. Go here for straight service. read more

We went to eat in West Ashley to celebrate my husband's birthday not long ago. While inside, someone poked a hole in his tire, then approached us as we were leaving to offer to fix it for $25. It seemed sketchy, so we used our air pump and made our way to Gerald's. It was two hours before closing, but they would not take us for a tire patch. We were far from home, and certain the tire wouldn't make it. We left, and there was firestone right down the street. Frank took us in, even though they were booked. He even let us put our birthday cake in their fridge while we waited. Firestone totally hooked us up, and it was the highlight of my husband's birthday. Forget Gerald's. As evidence of my frustration, this is my first ever Yelp review. Just spent $1K on power steering repairs here, yet it didn't work and was much harder to turn at slow speeds than prior. When I returned to Firestone and had them try and address, was simply told that I was wrong and everything was fine -- on a vehicle I've driven for 10 years, and know how it drive when normal. That was after having the car for 2 days with no communication, I had to call twice to try and get an update. Last time in, I replaced one tire which they put on backwards -- white side out when all the rest were black walls. In each case, when I expressed my frustration, they were overly defensive and somewhat combative, making me feel like I was in the wrong. I've given plenty of chances, but am finished and will find a new regular mechanic for all our vehicles. read more

My "Service Tire Pressure System" light was on because my pressure sensor was broken in one tire and the tire kept deflating after filling it up many times, and I replaced the tire once which didn't change anything. This meant it wasn't the tire, it was the valve (based on the opinion I got elsewhere). At my FIRST appointment, I asked for wiper fluid, an oil change and for my sensor to be fixed. After inspection, they said I needed new brake pads and an alignment. So I had to make another appointment for those things, and when I got my car back later that day the light was still on and there was no wiper fluid. So, at my second appointment I requested again for them to fix the tire pressure system and reminded them a 4th time to put wiper fluid in. After getting my car back the second time, the light was STILL on, one tire was incredibly overinflated and there was still no wiper fluid (they told me both times it was included). They did not fix the ONE THING I went in to have fixed and could not even remember to put in wiper fluid after being reminded several times, and they charged me $860 total to not do what I asked. All I experienced there was pure lack of effort and disrespect, most likely because I am a college age girl. Will be getting a refund and taking my car elsewhere! read more

ZERO STARS. Ruined $1500 worth of rims. Brought my vehicle in with new wheels and tires to be mounted and balanced and alignment checked. Wheels were a special type and asked two different representatives if they new how to properly install the rims and tires denoting the special feature. I arrived after being notified that the vehicle was finished only to see that they had been installed incorrectly. I had to point out to the shop manager the glaringly obvious way in which they were mounted incorrectly. I was told I could come back following business day to have them corrected. Noticed that the tires weren't close to being balanced and that alignment might be off too. After returning the second time, I noticed tires (although seemingly mounted correctly) were still not balanced. Took it to specialty shop only to have them tell me that Firestone RUINED 3 of the wheels because they stripped essential, specialty bolt holes for the wheels. Brand new wheels are TRASH. I assumed they would try and fight this claim bust would have expected them to be at least courteous. When trying to explain to the shop manager I was interrupted so immediately and so vigorously that I had to yell at her in order for me to finish my sentence. Their inexperienced mechanics are one issue but the abhorrent service was mind blowing. Do not recommend AT ALL. read more

I was devoted to only servicing my car at the dealership for 10 years until I got smart and comparison shopped for tires last year. I decided to go with Firestone because it was a lot cheaper than the dealership (surprise, surprise!). I ended up having a nail in one of the tires shortly thereafter, and they replaced the tire for minimal cost due to their policy. Since then, I've continuously kept up with Firestone for oil changes. Firestone is about the same as the dealership price wise, but they always have coupons which makes it cheaper. They say things happen in threes, so last week I was due for an oil change, my AC hadn't been working for about a month, and my check engine light came on. I took my car to Firestone, and Jeff called me after having it for about 4 hours. He told me a number of things needed to be fixed and gave me a staggering quote. I told him that I had a lot of service done to my car at the dealership about a year and a half prior, so he suggested I call up and find out what had been done. After way too many frustrating phone calls with dealership and two hours later, I called Jeff back with my list of prior services. He went through and eliminated all the services he originally suggested that I no longer needed. This knocked me down almost $200. He could have certainly convinced me I needed the same services, but he was honest and straightforward. He also gave me a $15 voucher for the next service I have done there. I will continuously be a Firestone customer and will recommend the same to anyone who needs a great shop! read more

These guys are crooks. They are not truthful about doing the work. The "test drive" they took my car on didn't put any mileage on it. The guy who claimed to have done the drive was unavailable to look me in the eye and tell me that. And why would you finish a successful test drive and park it back in the garage (where it mysteriously broke again a few seconds before I showed up)? They replace spark-plugs when even an amateur (and ultimately the dealer) told me it was a fuel pump. And they didn't give me the keys back until I initialed next to the line that said "customer satisfaction." And you can probably guess if they returned the old plugs to me like I asked. Never again. If you go there, stay while they repair and watch them like a hawk. -DB read more

Called them yesterday and got an appointment for Saturday morning. The manager Justin helped me today (Saturday) and never been so extremely satisfied with buying tires haha. They let me know what needs to be replaced down the road. (Rear brakes) little reminder for myself! along with getting 4 new tires I also was able to get my oil changed all within 2 hours for the time I dropped it off. Came from Mt. pleasant since it seemed no one wanted to give me a quote on Friday except these guys! Worth the 20 minute drive. Seems like this place knows how to keep people happy. While waiting I noticed one guy speaking with the manager and he drove 40 mins just to come because he likes only dealing with these guys. Extremely pleasant experience and highly recommend Firestone over others. I guess that's why they've been open since 1926... read more

My son drove 3 hrs to visit a college. Vehicle overheated. Turned out to be a big job requiring a couple of days to fit it in. Frank and Bobby juggled the schedule with the mechanic agreeing to work late. They got the vehicle fixed so my kid could drive home mext morning.
