Apparently Firestone is doing a employee change of this location for there aren't that many service advisors I remember from even a few weeks ago. This is a repeat visit at this store for the same problem I have had since 09/20/2018. An oil leak. I was told it was residual oil from my first visit but residual oil should not leak for over a week and if it does it should leak more than a few drops at a time. I was conditionally happy with the service I had today. The service was done quickly but I was told that I needed a new oil pan because I had an oversized drain plug installed. That should not warrant a replacement oil pan. In none of the visits recently did the technician who did the work come talk to me about what he had discovered. The first time I discovered they said I had refused the replacement of a part when I got home and read the paperwork. Today it was the service advisor who told me I needed a new oil pan due to the oversized drain plug. In the recent past they would come tell you and in many cases take you to the vehicle to show you. I will give this location and Firestone in general one more chance. If my oil continues to leak I will take it back but afterwards will look elsewhere for my automobile service needs. read more

Not surprising to be writing a horrible review of this place, given all the other terrible reviews. Showed up, and was told they could not accommodate an oil change even if I left it for several hours. An oil change takes 20 min or less btw. I called earlier this week to schedule, was told to come in and drop it off at 9:30. Was turned away at the counter. No apologies. Horrible service! This place needs an entire new staff. read more

I am pregnant and have 2 very young children and we ultimately waited 4+ hrs for horrible service. Over the phone I was quoted an 1-1.5 hr wait. In person they said 2 hrs. We walked around the area and my car had not even gone into the bay by the time the 2 hrs were up. I understand these are estimates but given the fact that I told them I planned to wait with my little ones, I would have preferred they directed me to come another day rather than misquote the time by over 2hrs. I have been to this Firestone a few times and have never had a positive experience. The only reason I went this last time was because my tires were under warranty. Of course the problem wasn't covered under the plan so they attempted a "fix" for $30 (as far as I know just putting a new plastic cap on it). When that didn't work, I took the car home. We were indeed happy to see this Firestone open, providing a very good local option for auto care. My family does a lot of business with them, and a significant amount of our car repair is handled right here. We have been very satisfied with this Firestone personnel and work. The advice rendered here is generally on the mark. Yes, I said "generally" and with that, I am getting at the reason for four stars and not five. The up-sale effort here is WAYYYYY too strong. I don't know, but I would be willing to bet that sales compensation is heavily influenced by the up-sale component. In case you don't know the word "up-sale", that is when they encourage you to purchase additional services beyond those initially requested. Now, let me be clear... I do not believe that they have given me any advice that is not true. It's just that their recommendations must be carefully scrutinized and should also be priced from other vendors. My son's car broke down in the Best Buy parking lot across the street. We had it towed to Firestone Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning the manager called my son to say the car was locked and they couldn't get in. (old car, one key for ignition, one for locks) Manager said he saw stepfather lock the door when car towed in and my son needed to call and pay for a locksmith to come open car. My husband called and spoke to Julie telling her manager never came outside when car was towed, was with a customer the whole time and couldn't see what was happening. (Manager would not get on the phone) My husband admitted to being last one to shut door, but since we thought the lock was broken, he didn't lock it. Julie admitted that it is their policy to check all the cars before leaving for the night and lock any open cars. Apologized and said they would call a locksmith. Three hours later Julie calls my son at work, another Firestone location, and tells him that she talked to the employees and all said they didn't touch the car. So since stepfather had to be the one who locked it, my son needs to pay for a locksmith. This has already been a horrible experience and they haven't even looked at the car yet. If they treat their own employees like this, I hate to see how they treat Joe Public. read more

I had a coupon for an oil change at 24.99. Got my appointment and dropped off the car at 8 am. Got my car done in a reasonable amount of time. The only thing that concerns me is the fact that this shop continues to"recommend" too many things to jack up the price . I just bought tires 800 miles ago, and a rotation was recommended. I have 50k miles on my car and fuel system cleaning was recommended. Of course I declined and of course its their job to upsell, yet every once in a while wouldn't it be great to just get the oil changed and have the mechanic say, " you're good to go" !? read more

WOW this place really sucks I'm not one to write a bad review, but you guys seriously have to hear this. I brought my wife's car in for an oil change today and I understand the whole up-sale process; I'm a car salesman, go figure!! A car salesman writing a bad review! Where do I even begin? There's oh-so much to tell. Should I start with the fact my wife's 4 cylinder car somehow needs spark plugs even though the car isn't misfiring?? I mean, have you tried to drive a 4 cylinder car that needs a tune up? Trust me.. you don't want to. Not the situation here guys. Oh yeah, and the valve cover wasn't even removed to check the plugs. I checked the bolts on the cover :-* (That's a kiss to the lovely management by the way because I love the hustle.) Okay seriously though. Your world-class "service advisor" called us to come pick up the car. We come and pick it up, and he's telling me about management "dipping out early and the hell that ensued afterwards" That's cool. I get it, there's $2 drinks at Brazwell's today, it's 5 minuets away; I'd leave early also and get drinks if I had to put out flames like this on the day to day. But wait, it gets so much better guys.. Okay, so my wife brings the car home and I tell her I want to see the recommended maintenance so I can compare it to the manual.. Do I really need to even go there? :) So anyways, after looking at the amazing list of things that's supposedly wrong with her car... (An engine flush?!) I smiled as I wrote that by the way. I look at the street address. COMPLETELY misspelled. I LOVE IT! I mean it wasn't off by a few letters... This was EPIC I think the only letter that was correct was the A which is literally the first letter of the street. The miles?? Oh my god, off by 30,000!!! Then my wife has to go to Harris Teeter for a second. I hear her SCREAMING outside. I'm fairly certain the entire neighborhood heard. I run outside and her seat had black brake dust all over it! THE CHERRY ON TOP!!!! Just wanted to tip my hat off to the management, clearly you're doing a phenomenal job. Ownership as well. I can tell you value your customers business. Seriously though, how are you still in business?! I mean seriously, a 1.7 on Google.. Nobody in the store looked happy to be there. The parking sucks. You guys are still in business though. Avoid this place, as employees are unprofessional and seem unable to perform their job. Had a set of staggered new tires shipped to them to be installed and balanced, as well as perform wheel alignment . After a couple of hours, I find out they fitted the front (narrow) tires to the back (wide) wheels, so had to reinstall the tires. How does a tire place not know/realize that they are dealing with staggered wheels? Picked up the car, and after driving for a few minutes, noticed the car vibrates. Had to go back and ask them to balance the tires again. Heard No apologies from them, and they balanced the tires again. Drove off the parking lot, and still felt a vibration in the car (although less than before). At that point, I was so sick of this place, that I just took my Car to the BMW dealership and paid $110 to perform a third tire balancing on my car. read more

My experience was bringing my vehicle for replacement of two tires and a oil change and addressing the tire warning light. The tire warning light was on since the last time I was there (it was never on before I brought my vehicle there), they told me I needed to drive it for a few days and it would go away, 8000 miles later it's still there so they obviously didn't connect a sensor or broke it. So this time I asked again to have the tire warning light addressed when they replace the two tires I needed. I made an appointment for 3:00pm days in advance so they could get it done by the end of day. So at about 6:00 pm I went back to wait for them to finish and found out I needed brake calipers done. They were waiting for the part to show up, so I waited until they closed and they ended up saying it will be done 1st thing in the morning. Went there at 8:00 the next morning and the part still wasn't even there and they had no answer as to why. I ended up spending most of the day there and at the Chick-Fil-a next door waiting, waiting and waiting, finally left around 4:00pm. Lost a day of work do to broken promises and extreme lack of communication. They were apologetic, but I think these issues warranted much more than an apology. Also, my tire warning light is still on. I could never go back to this place. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR AN INSPECTION!!! First experience with an inspection they called to tell me they failed my inspection due to "needing new tires." Spoke with my husband and he said that was BS. Confronted them and told them that was not necessary, and after "speaking with the technician", they took back their word and said it would pass. A few years later, I give it another shot just out of convenience. This time they call to say that the car passed, but the technician says we need two new front tires and an alignment...funny thing is, our tires are NEW!!!!!!!!!!! I told the man this and he backed off and didn't question any more. He knew he was wrong. On top of that, I had overheard another employee earlier calling a customer saying her car failed inspection and needed two new back tires. Have taken a number of my vehicles there over the past couple of years, as I live close by. Recently took my daughter's car there for a radiator flush and fill, as the fluid had gotten cloudy and discolored. They changed out the fluid, along with up-selling us a wheel alignment. About a week later, the car stopped on the road, with severe transmission issues. When I took it to another shop, they indicated that a pump had failed, allowing the transmission fluid and radiator fluid to mix, ruining the transmission, and that this failure had probably been happening for a while. I am certain that is what I was seeing in the discolored fluid in the radiator and reservoir - but this was missed while the folks at Firestone were changing out that fluid. The result was we had to either pay $3,500 to fix the transmission of the car, or junk it. We junked the car. I was over at the Firestone store a few days later and mentioned to the person manning the desk what had happened, and that I really felt like their technicians had missed the fluid mixing and potential failing part when they had changed the coolant earlier and if they had seen it, we may have been able to avoid the costly repair. They took notes on the old ticket, and said they would have the manager call me to discuss. So far - nothing.......... I don't plan on going back anytime soon. read more

Extremely poor service. I went in to have my car looked at after hitting a 5 gallon bucket of dry wall mud that was dropped on the highway to be sure there was not any damage to the tire that hit it. I was told there was no damage but the dry wall mud was still on the underside of the tire and they recommended replacing the whole tire. I did not go through with replacing the tire but was charged for it regardless. I thought my bill was $135 when I paid but $422 was charged to credit card which was the amount of the tire. When calling to ask why no one had any answers for me or could help me with this. I was told repeatedly they can't see where I was charge more than the $135. After talking with corporate and still not getting anywhere I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. This place of business stole $287. Recently went here for an inspection. Was told over phone Sat I could come by and drop off my car for Sunday but couldn't promise they couldn't get to it because they were filling up with reservations for Sun so better hurry. Not really a great business practice but it gets better. Sunday was called to pick up my car and told it was $10 more because they had to check my tint on the car. This bmw is 4 yrs old purchased new from dealership with tint from bmw. I have never even heard of a tint fee. Told that it is up to individual inspector to determine whether to charge $10 or not. My opinion Firestone's inspectors is on commission. Shame to loose future business over $10 but I don't know any high end cars sold without tint installed on windows. Gave them one star because they actually inspected it. read more

Ladies, be aware that they will try and take advantage of you. I'm not a new customer and have taken my car there for a couple of years now for oil change, tire rotation, etc. I know they always try and sell you something, but it is a convenient location near work so I just politely decline any additional things the "need to be repaired." Last Friday, I dropped my car off at 8 a.m. to have an oil change, tires rotated and my car inspected and asked that it be ready by 3 p.m.. Kevin called me after 3 p.m. and informed me that I would need new windshield wipers to pass inspection. I told him that was odd since my wipers were less than a year old and I had not had any trouble with them. I told him I would come over with my boyfriend and we would discuss it. When we got there I turned on the wipers on and one of the front blades left a tiny amount of water on the right side of the windshield. We told him there was nothing wrong with them and he said his mechanic is allowed to decide what passes inspection and what doesn't. Knowing they were just trying to make a quick dollar, my guy said we would pay $10 for the blades. Kevin agreed and went to talk to his mechanic. It obviously ticked the guy off because he replaced the blade there was nothing wrong with and suddenly didn't have the 13" size blade to replace the "worn out one" in stock, even though there was a display inside the waiting room with them hanging on it. He kept us waiting about 15 minutes while he sang and danced around the shop outside the waiting room. Finally, my car was ready and I had to remind them to put the oil change sticker in the front window which makes me wonder if they even did the oil change. I definitely learned my lesson and will never go back to this place. read more

This is the first time I write any review ever but feel compelled to do so for the sake of others. I came to Firestone yesterday to have my car checked how many tires I need to replace. They said the front two should be changed, the back two are still good for another 6 months. Today I came in , gave them my car, and went to Blakeney, waiting in a coffee shop. I received a call that I should replace four tires because the back two should be replaced as well. I was thinking to myself what the clever way to upsell the products. I said yes because they offer the discount. So far so good right? Then I received the second call if I need a one-time alignment or permanent alignment because their test revealed that tires are not aligned. Well was this a second upsell?? I replaced 4 tires, completely brand new ones, installed by Firestone. Isn't that part of the job? If not, can you align it as a courtesy. BTW, the guy who I looked at the car yesterday told me that your alignment should be fine based on how the tire fades evenly based on his reading. I think honesty is part of their slogan. I hope this one happens to me. read more
