It seemed to work for a week and then the error came back along with the flashing lights on the dash. So I brought it back in today to have them look at it. They ran a few tests and determined it was the battery causing the problem so they replaced it and now the car seems to be working again! The receipt has the name Evin D. Not sure if that's the same guy as the guy at the desk who helped me during both visits, but if it is he was great and super friendly! Very appreciative of the help and I can always rely on Pep Boys for their honesty and awesome service!!

On…read moreMonday I picked up my car after having a complete AC system replaced. 30 minutes after leaving, the AC vent was expelling hot air. I called the office, Denise answered and I explained that I was not able to come back today due to the time of day and being far away. I told her that the next morning my wife had cancer treatment scheduled. Denise said come in when you can. Tuesday afternoon I took the car back. It was after 3 o'clock, Denise said there was not enough time to evaluate the car and fix before closing and asked me please bring it back in the morning. She asked me to be there at 7:30am when the owner John would be there. I agreed and showed up Wednesday morning at 7:30. I meet John no small talk, no asking what I did to the car, just professionalism and calm, and he just asked for the key and as soon as he had evaluated it he would tell me. He said the compressor had failed. By 11:00am it was fixed, a new compressor installed at no cost to me. While I was very stressed out, they were calm and always told me they would fix it and they did. These people are trustworthy and honest. They stand behind their work. Everyone here is very knowledgeable and can explain car issues/situations very well in a simple to understand explanation. They push towards OEM parts for just about everything, which isn't a bad thing. It's also good to know that what you are getting is OEM unless stated otherwise for any part replacement. Pricings also very good. Consistent with other shops in the area, Yes you can probably find a shop to do some stuff cheaper or a shop that would throw in a shady aftermarket part to make it a "cheap" fix. But if you respect your time and overall money. Since a cheap fix can lead to needing it to be fixed sooner than if it was done right the first time and/or with high quality parts. Than definitely come here. While it's not a major negative worth taking any stars off, but wait times can be high to get your car in to be seen/worked on. So make sure you have some type of alternative transportation while your car is here.

Well after I pressed him a little more since having a tire issue on the road would be much more of a problem than buying a new set of tires pre-maturely. Knowing my Jeep probably better than I do and also knowing what I like and my level of expectation he started calling around to see what was immediately available being my travel plans were only a day away. After providing me with a few options he inform me that Tire Outlet had some Yokohama Tires in stock and although it was nearly 3:00 PM they could swap the tires and balance them before they closed the same day. This shop goes above and beyond, they emailed a photo of the tires and quoted the tires and work out the door with a promise of no surprises. This entire process went down over the phone and was executed flawlessly. After doing a walk around I took them for a test drive and found these Yokohama Geolandar X-AT 295/70R17 to be the perfect solution, they look great and just aggressive enough that I am confident they'll perform how I need them to - after dragging the Jeep to the Keys I know I made a good decision. Instead of having to call a tow truck, the owner and a tech both came out to me and got me going good enough to drive to their shop. They then gave me a ride back and forth to my home, so I didn't have to wait there all day or call for an uber both ways since I lived close by. They repaired both issues, so my AC is ice cold again and my coolant isn't leaking anymore. I highly recommend them, and everyone there are so nice.
