He spoiled my already weak credit history and made sure to give me more problems in getting my mortgage. I sent the estimete to Firestone customer service dept as requested and was told they would investigate. While I have no intention of returning to the facility, it would be interesting to know what the results of their "investigation" revealed. I have had multiple vehicles serviced here and its always the same. Make an appointment and the wait an hour and a half. Their busy. I get it. Thats why they wont miss a customer or two. I went there about a year ago to do routine maintenance( belts, timing and water pump, tune up) and I ended up with a four thousand plus bill to replace calipers along with the other services I receieved all approved by me and I get my car back with everything under the hood left unattached hoses, airbox, etc., and my car was making a horrible whirring sound when the air conditioner was on. Shortly after my cailpers began to rust I can only attrtibute this to sub standard Chinese after market parts. I then started to get squealing belt noises and returned several times to repair to no avail. My breaks, although still have plenty of pad left, also make a constant squealing noise ( again probably Chinese) Long story short, there was nothing wrong with my car until I had it serviced and now I have nothing but problems. They were honest, kind, and helpful.They told me all that was wrong with my car and it all turned out to be true..Also you can take 6 months to pay for services that are more costly !no intrest!....The most comfortable waiting area I have ever been.TV...coffee and very soft comfortable seating. I have bought tires, very reasoniably priced..Had breaks done. They did a great job . Ball joint . Car never road better!....Would very HIGHLY suggest you go there! read more

THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! I got my tires changed here and they told me only the most expensive ones were available but I needed my tires changed that day so I told them to go ahead and change them. They the preceded to tell me my tire pressure gauge was broken and told me they would fix it on the spot for an additional fee. I still have warranty for my car so I told them no. When I went to the dealership to replace it the mechanic told me it was in perfect condition and did not need to get replaced. Firestone on 46 will make any excuse to charge you money for working parts so I advise you not to bring your car here EVER! I bought new tires there six months ago. Recently ,My dashboard sensor illuminated indicating that there was underinflation in a tire. They checked for leaks , found none,then put two new tire air stems on both front tires to eliminate the problem, all for $45. read more

I had a horrible experience here today. Last night I made an appointment online for 10. Got a confirmation email that everything was set up and ready to go. I arrive a few minuets before my appointment to drop my car off to have my front 2 tires looked at. There was a slow leak in both, wanted to see where it was coming from/if I had to replace. I left the car, didn't get a call back for over an hour and a half. Finally calls to tell me that I need two new tires. Okay fair thank you. Took Over an hour and half to put the new tires on that they had in the store already. I dropped my car off at 10 AM. Finally I show up at 12:30, I can see my car just sitting there. No tires on them. Finally at 1 my car is done, and he tells me I need an alignment too. And if I want to do it today. Well OVER 3 hours they had my car to simply put 2 tires on. Then had the nerve to hackle me about getting a credit card with them. Never again. read more

Do not go here! I simply went for a photo inspection for a new car insurance. Apparently, there is only one single employee in the entire business that does photo inspections. I'm not sure how he learned to do it because NOBODY else there knew how. Not even the manager who so smugly came out while on the phone to tell me "the guy who does this called out today ma'am" and walked back into the garage. This is honestly the first review that I have written for any business in over 10 years but I felt so compelled to be publically honest about this FIRESTONE Repair Center. My car was towed there after breaking down off of I87. One of the service managers, Amel, immediately ask me to describe what happened before my car stopped running . He also gave me an honest estimate of how long it would take to diagnose the condition of my car. since there were other customers ahead of us and it was a Sunday @ about 2:00 when we arrived. We were on our way to a vacation in the Poconos and I truly believe that he empathized with our disappointment in having to postpone our trip. We waited literally across the Firestone lot at Mancino's, a pizza restaurant with the best tasting Italian food I have had in a long time and I'm a native New York City resident and I know a good pizza and good Italian food! In any event, since they were closing at 5 we waited overnight at a Hampton Inn and we were escorted there by car with our luggage by Mark, another awesome and extemely considerate service manager, because the condition of a card could not be resolved...it wasn't a small problem possibly the engine the next day we were contacted and told that my car's problem was something that they couldn't repair..an engine issue and they suggested that I bring it to a dealer. I guess the point I want to make here is that they didn't give me "the runaround" and the service managers wouldn't even accept tips! I was told by one of the town folks that they were just going to rip me off and I should go to one of their technicians/ mechanics well I'm glad I didn't my car is being towed back to New York and I thank God for those " car angels "at Firestone Denville!! By the way we never made it to the Poconos but we met some great folks, the girls got a chance to swim at the Hampton Inn, and as Mark said "the next vacation will more than make up for this one!!" I needed a tire rotation. Purchased my tires in Florida at Tires Plus which essentially associated with Firestone. This was the closest location, made an appointment and had my tires rotated and re balanced. They took me on time. Did the job on time and well. Reading some of the reviewers, I agree with most of them that the service writer wants to over sell you. However, because they do good work, one should go back, but must know what he/she is there for. Don't buy more than what you need. I have a relatively new car and know that I don't need wheel alignment. So I didn't buy it. I went there for a free tire rotation and balance and I left without paying a dime. They honored my Florida purchase agreement term without any question. One must know that all similar shops are doing the same "upsell". Most will offer additional free vehicle checks just to sell you more service. When you pre buy life time service, be prepared to be annoyed with additional service needs at each time you take your car back. Don't get mad, just don't buy. If you know your car, you know what you need or not need. Don't fall for one time deals and other unnecessary service needs. This shop has good mechanics. Take advantage. I was dealing with Charles at the store located on Macon Rd in Cordova, TN @ phone number- 901-453-4249. I brought my 1999 Nissan sentra to the store bcz it wasn't staying started. As it turns out the car just needed corrosion removed from the battery. My son brought his 1998 Honda Accord there for front brakes and he was estimated at $658.12. We said no and the car was towed home. Since then, I had my car towed there only out of desperation, and because I have your credit card with a $1200.00 limit. I know you're overpriced and that you do other work than what is needed. However, my child couldn't get the car to back up anymore. This, we thought, was due to the brakes being so worn or the axle which was told to us by Charles. Car had been grinding. I had plans with my mechanic to have work done. Charles calls me and tells me that he won't work on car bcz it is too rusted to put on the lift and that I should junk the car. I have paperwork that says that the car is totaled written by him. So, I am a single female on a budget (with Black children and his attitude definitely shows prejudice and arrogance with regard to the condition and year of my car), and I panic! I start applying for cars (all those inquiries on my bureau now-for nothing). I chose to have my mechanic look at it. He said all it needed was a caliber (on driver's side) and pads in the front. I didn't need lines and all this other stuff Charles said I needed. He said it wasn't worth it due to the rust under the car. I have had that rust for 4 years in IL weather. Big deal. So, I put my car for sale on Craigslist and even made calls to salvage and scrap yards that he referred me to. I asked him if I needed more work than my available credit on my card which is almost $1,000. he said yes. My car is running beautifully; thanks to God blessing me once again and my mechanic Pedro. All in all this cost me 8 trips in Uber, an $80 tow, and so much mental anguish. The job cost me $50 to my mechanic and $78.00 in parts. Charles should be dealt with in regards to his attitudes and losing your company money. And Firestone should be ashamed of taking advantage of people. If it wouldn't affect my credit bureau, I would close my account with you. Thanks, Firestone, for nothing!! Like many of the other reviewers here, I had came here several times thinking these guys were good honest mechanics, but it turns out they do bs work here and don't actually care or value their customers. I am never going back to a firestone again and have told my friends and family, and hopefully this gets to the people it needs to get to. I brought my car here after hitting a curb to check for the damage and they completely did a once over and didn't even inspect the car. I drove the car for a month and a half after replacing the strut which they said was the issue, but after the car felt worse and worse I brought it back in thinking an alignment was the cause, but then they tell me that I had bent my suspension components and all the idiot there (his name is mark) could tell me was that I bent some stuff, being very vague and non informative. They failed to see this the first time around which completely is appalling considering when they finally saw it the second 2nd trip back and this genius tells me that I had severe damage to the front, if it was so severe how did your shop miss it the first time!?? They screwed up my wheels trying to do the alignment even worse and then when I told them it was worse they said they didn't do anything, to which resulted in my car breaking down a week and a half later. awful!! i got brand new tires on my car , brought it in a week later for an oil change and they told me i needed new tires because they were balding. ...i said, thats funny..i just got new tires a week ago! they felt so embarrassed, front desk guy got red in the face and said he would speak to the mechanic. Went this past week for two new front tires for my daughters car since they advertised cheaper tires than my usual tire shop. Once there I was told they only had one of those tires and since it was an odd tire size (Nissan sentra... Odd size?) they only had one other type to offer ( costing 40 more for each). Now I can't prove this was bait and switch but it sure smells funny. Never the less I purchased them. Later on they called my daughter to let her know through their free check of the tire pressure sensor they found it was broken But could fix it for $130. We declined as the car is still under warrantee and later took it to the dealer for repair. Guess what? After testing the sensor everything worked a-ok. ImAgine that! I called firestone to complain and was told by mike on the phone that the mechanic noted the sensor spinning which is the diagnostic that it doesn't work. Now how did mike know this. Was it luck that he was there watching and remembered this 5 days later? I suggested that the dealer should certainly know whether the sensor was working (wouldn't it be in their financial interest to try to sell us a repair?) and told mike I thought they were trying to extort $ from innocent people. He assured me not the case and when I told him I was going to submit a review he offered me a free oil chAnge to keep me happy (or quiet?). Went in there for the first time for an oil change and vehicle inspection. They put 5-20w vs. 5-30w in my vehicle. Owner's manual says use 5-30w. Also recommended $1500 in suspension repairs based SOLELY on vehicle mileage vs actual condition and necessity. Two of the parts which they proposed to replace had been replaced 6 months ago and are in great shape. They brought me into the garage and tried tried to pass off normal wear on the ball joints as abnormal. When the store mgr was confronted regarding the wrong oil and unnecessary repairs being proposed, his response was the computer says to use 5-20w and the recommended repairs were based SOLELY on mileage. He also agreed the one part which the service mechanic was trying to say was abnormal was indeed normal wear. Basically I paid $50 for a bad oil change and a non existent vehicle inspection. Cut my losses and got my vehicle the hell of of there and took my vehicle to Lube Express to get the right oil put in (their computers show 5-30w is to be used in my vehicle). Stay away them this place unless you like being ripped off, parting from a lot of cash and like incompetent mechanics working on your vehicle. read more
