Here for the second time! I came here a few years ago with my 2014 Jetta to get brakes and rotors done and they got me right in. Came by today (a Tuesday at about 3:30pm) because I have a slow leak in my tire and it keeps hopping down to 13/20psi .. Anyway... I can't keep putting air into it and I stopped by without an appointment. The gentleman who checked me in had a strong calming presence. He was black and young with longer hair (wish I got his name)... I just liked how he treated me and even spoke to the customers around me! Waiting to see how much it costs!! Yikes!! I made an appointment to plug a leak in my tire. I was told that the damage was to close to the side wall and I had to replace all four tires. The service person never even looked at the other tires. One of the tires is brand new so that would not constitute 4 Tires to be replaced. I went another service provider who was able to plug the tire and indicated that three of my tires had a very good tred and one of my tires was almost new. The second provider was honest where Firestone was just looking to make a buck. Buyer beware know how to check the tree on your tires so you don't fall into this trap. read more

UPDATE- I am yet to hear from someone from this company. I have been in contact with their customer care many times over that last month. Promised a call in 2 to 3 business days from everyone including the Store Manager, Area Manager, District Manager and Division Management. Nothing has happened. I have had to put thousands into my vehicle to have it fixed from the incompetence of an employee. Shady customer service. I will be taking other actions as needed because of horrible customer service. As a past Retail Manager I would be horrified to work for a company that doesn't value their customers!! read more

Stopped into Firestone for an emissions test -- huge mistake. I stood there for a good five minutes before anyone even looked up. A quick "be right with you" would've been nice. When I finally got someone's attention, they told me it's first come, first serve. No problem. Then they said it'd be a 90-minute wait. I said I'd come back, and they still wouldn't commit -- told me it'd still be first come, first serve when I returned. The kicker? The same mechanic does emissions and other jobs, so basically, no guarantees at all. Translation: they clearly don't want to be doing emissions tests. I called Monroe Muffler on Main Street instead -- got a same-day appointment and was in and out in 10 minutes. Friendly, fast, and professional. I've bought multiple sets of tires from Firestone over the years, but after this experience? I'm done. The attitude here was terrible. Monroe just earned a new customer. read more

I brought my 2018 Audi Q3 in for a coolant leak on June 19, and after paying $1600 for a water pump replacement, I left with my car in worse condition than when I dropped it off. The Issues: Right after picking up my car, I noticed a new symbol on the dashboard and the engine temperature gauge wasn't working. I immediately called Firestone and was told to drive it, as it might "resolve itself." As I drove home, the engine cooling fan ran continuously, which was concerning. The next day, I confirmed that the issue was a malfunctioning engine temperature sensor, which Firestone had never mentioned in their diagnostic. This was a serious safety concern, especially during the heatwave. I couldn't use my car for 4.5 days, including missing a planned trip. Firestone initially refused to take responsibility, offering contradictory explanations and trying to charge me extra for repairs they caused. It wasn't until I escalated the issue that they agreed to fix the sensor and connectors for free--but it took multiple days of hassle and frustration. What Went Wrong: They allowed me to drive away with a critical, non-functioning part, putting me and my car at risk. The service was riddled with miscommunication and poor customer service. At one point, I felt like I was being pressured into accepting a broken vehicle. In the end, the repair was only completed after significant back-and-forth using intimidation tactics and after I involved higher-ups, which was also a challenge. This was an incredibly stressful and inconvenient experience, as I had no car for 5 days, and I feel that I was treated unfairly as a customer, especially given the lack of professionalism in addressing the problem. I am extremely disappointed with the service at this location and the way my concerns were handled. I strongly advise anyone thinking about bringing their car here to be cautious, as it's clear their priority is not customer safety or satisfaction. If you try to reach out to the parent company, Bridgestone, they will ignore you and the Better Business Bureau. This is a large corporation who does not care about the treatment of customers. Surprised to see all the 1-star reviews piling on this place. Just got back from having no less than the third set of tires I've had them mount and balance on my two vehicles and from start to finish the process was smooth and even though it took a bit longer than originally estimated because they were so busy, the service was on-point. I brought in the same vehicle months before to have the brakes done and had them flush and fill the coolant and the service tech who called and let me know it was completed mentioned that it needed knew tires. I knew this and told him it was something I was very aware of and knew what I wanted to replace them with but they were out of stock. I don't buy my tires through Firestone but they're always more than happy to install them and he wasn't really pushy in any way. One of the things they do (for FREE) is to check your vehicle, it's probably part of a larger corporate strategy (as opposed to your local mom-pop garage) but that's what mechanics should do. I get that it can come off as pushy or upselling, but I also know from experience that if you want to get a second opinion, don't agree at all or say "no thanks" or "not right now" they don't really push it beyond that. I've been bringing my vehicles here for more than a few years and the prices have always been reasonable, the mechanics competent and the service techs honest and reliable. They can get busy, during the times I've waited in the shop I see an awful lot of people coming and going without issue, just getting their vehicles serviced and no complaints. People are more likely to leave a negative review after a negative experience than they are to leave a 4-5 star review for a positive one. In fact, today as I was waiting there for my vehicle I saw a guy come in about a flat he needed repaired. In the midst of an already busy day they squeezed it in very quickly after determining that it was a very quick job and had him out the door in less than 30 minutes. That's service. Even though they're technically a 'chain' and my 4-star rule applies, these guys go above and beyond and I would recommend them to anyone needing vehicle maintenance/service. 4.5 stars! read more

Firestone convinces me that I have to buy 4 new tires because one tire on my CR-V was destroyed. It's Bridgestone, which they carry out. So I went to Costco, and no problem, they would match with my old ( not so old) tires and replace it. Instead of paying 700-800 at Firestone I payed 90 at Costco. Good luck Firestone . I had called on a Monday to get a quote for 4 new Firestone all season tires. The number the person gave me was reasonable and I asked if it included an alignment, and was guaranteed it was included. Once I arrived Friday morning for my appointment, I was surprised when the amount quoted was ONLY the tires and labor. Granted I think that these people deserve the pay, but for the tires and labor without an alignment I was taken aback at the price. Especially considering when I spoke to someone on Monday they had said it was included. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Went there a couple days ago because my tire pressure kept lowering, something must have been in my tire. They took a look at it, called me and told me I needed a whole new tire and that my tire was completely unfixable. (Oh and also the tire they told me I needed was $900). My dad then came and checked it... there was a tiny little nail in the tire. He fixed the problem in about 10 minutes. I arrived for my scheduled appointment at 1:00 for a tire rotation. They told me it would be done by the end of the day. They then called me in the evening saying I have to leave it there overnight or bring it back in the morning. They also told me I needed new tires but my tires only had 28000 miles on them. I live in Philadelphia and while at my friends place my car wouldn't start on two occasions so once I got it jumped the second time I went to Firestone to get it checked out. Since it was around 5pm the guy at the front desk told me it wouldn't be seen until the next day. At first I was frustrated that it wouldn't get looked at but he assured me (along with my friend's husband who came along just in case) that it would be looked at in the morning. At 7:30am the next day the service guy called and told me it was just the battery. He informed me about all my other fluids that needed to be changed and what was recommended for Honda's 60,000mile check. When I arrived the price was even cheaper than expected and I was able to get home safe and sound on a Saturday! The only disappointment was that the service guy at the front desk was not very friendly or personable but he did look overwhelmed by the busyness of the day. I just learned that Firestone recently put platinum spark plugs in my car which last half the mileage as iridium spark plugs. Firestone charged me 4X as much for the lesser quality platinum spark plugs as the dealer charged me for the higher quality iridium spark plugs. Firestone's markup on parts is very steep and they use lesser quality generic parts. Now that I have learned this, why on earth would I ever want to go back to Firestone? I just had my anti- sway bars replaced. DW-K750188, they charged me $115.99. For each one plus $93.60 for installation. Advanced Auto down the street had the same exact Drive Works part for $46.99. I have been to this location multiple times, every single time they underestimate the wait time. I have made appointments, dropped my car off and they are SO unreliable it's ridiculous. I dropped my car off at 12:45 and they said it would be ready for 5pm pickup. 4:30 I called to check in and they said they hadn't even looked at it yet!!! Would've been nice to know! Such poor customer service. If you can't handle the business then don't take in any more cars or hire more competent people. Seriously drive the extra mile and go elsewhere. read more

wow, little love for the gbury firestone eh? so yea, had to go up to boston to see my pals, forgot how much fun driving metro west was, and i had so much fun, i wanted to get a little memento home with me! fenway snow globe? nah. collector dunkies cup? maybe next time, 3 inch screw and washer lodged in my front tire tread? yes, thats what ill bring back..... so i needed some new shoes for the sled anyway, this just moved up the time table. i couldnt even get a patch so i was LUCKY to make it home, just in time to research who is open on sunday and sells tires...enter firestone. we've used them in the past for oil changes (i use economy now, not looking back!) and i usually use townfair for my tire needs, but under the circumstances, my utility needs and my graphs of supply vs demand charts, i grabbed my belt loops and held on. David took care of me and my radial needs! i arranged an online appointment the day before and these guys even called me 2 minutes prior to opening! thats welcomed! we talked, i asked if they had the firehawks i was looking online at, they did, he could even see me earlier, everything was coming up milhouse. popped in, nice facilities, good service, tires were comparable to what i was going to pay for another set elsewhere, so i dove in. 700 bucks later (and under two hours!) i had new rubber for the road. firestone does sell a warranty, and based on family experience, i actually took them up on it, lets hope i dont need to use it, but if i did, it actually favors me, ill update if it doersnt you can be sure of that! LPT: they do price match, i found the same tires on tirerack, use it and get back some cash! anyway, if you go to a tire store, your gonna get decent tires, if you need an oil change, use a dedicated oil change place. god forbid you bring a engine light in here though, i can see your vision turning into red with the crap their going to find wrong, i would not bring my car here for that (ever, and god forbid you dont know whats wrong with your car), you might want to have a mechanic in your Rolodex for that case (start looking proactively kids!) lets roll read more

Don't waste your time going to these incompetent crooks!! I was having trouble with my car dying on me one evening. I thought it was a dead battery & it wasn't. I paid $100 for them to run a "diagnostics" test to see what the problem was and they kept my old battery in the vehicle. Supposedly they fixed the issue, however, I drove maybe about a mile and all types of lights started flashing & my car died in the middle of the street. I had to call my towing service to get a jump start & while waiting for the service I noticed that the hood of my car was uneven & lifted on the right side. I tried to open & close hoping it would close all the way, but it's still lifted on one side. Not only that, when the service member arrived to give me a jump he noticed a balled up napkin resting right near my engine & he immediately snatched it up saying it was a fire hazard. So professional!!! Moral of the story is I paid $100 for a diagnostics for an alternator problem that didn't actually diagnose the problem (Autzone could've done this for free), they were super unprofessional with leaving a napkin under the hood, my hood is broken and on top of that they wanted to charge me an additional $615 to repair the issue (I went to a reputable shop in the area who did a quality job for about half the price.) read more

Took the car for a tire leak and left with a repair estimate for nearly $1,700. They said the spark plugs needed to be replaced and the front strut replaced. Took the car to a family friend and mechanic who said the strut was not leaking and the spark plugs are not due to be replaced for another 40k miles. This business establishment is the reason why so many people do not trust automotive shops. I am a younger adult, so they automatically assumed that they could swindle me. I came in looking to get a leaking tire checked out. They try to swindle me with four new tires, that has another season left in them easily, and two struts, even when they showed me only one had a very minor leak. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. I got an online quote for 4 new tires. I was assured when I called that the only additional cost would be tax. Within 10 minutes of dropping off my car, the calls starter coming. The tires that they quoted to me were too small and it would cost an additional $100 to get bigger tires. A few hours later the 2nd call came. $89 more for the alignment and they mentioned my brakes which I had never asked them to look at. My original quote of $400 was now over $600 and this was after me telling them I had a firm budget of $500. Then my boyfriend got involved. After threatening to take my business elsewhere, we magically received $20 off the alignment, along with 2 additional discounts. I went to Firestone thinking I got a good deal and once again, I was wrong. It's also amazing to me how going in there alone as a woman will get you nowhere. My husband and I take both of our cars here for snow tire change, wheel balancing, and wheel alignment. Overall we have been satisfied with the service. We typically drop off our cars in the morning and fetch them in the afternoon when the work is done. Strengths: The work is consistent and the prices are fair. All work has been completed in a timely manner. Firestone has offers such as lifetime alignment and balancing etc. Needs: Sometimes it is difficult to get an appointment, especially during snow tire season. Like most auto service shops they often call and offer more services than you asked for at a high price. read more

I only went here for an emissions test. When i first arrived i was told i'd have to wait 45 minutes which was fine. Then a few minutes later i was told it would actually be an hour and a half. I still said OK and left to walk around Home Depot and other stores nearby. When i returned at 1.5 hours i was told there were 5 cars ahead of me and it would be another 1 - 1 hour & 15 minutes. By the time my car was done it was 2 hours and 50 minutes from when i first dropped it off. Everything else was fine but their estimate of wait times is poor. I wouldn't have left my car to have the emissions test done if i knew it would take almost 3 hours. Just beware you may be there quite a bit longer than they initially advise. read more

They couldn't do the work I asked but could let me know additional service they recommended. Charged me for the work and sent me on my way. Fastforward to a week later when my tire sensor goes off on same tire that needed a patch. I realized they never patched the tire or rotated them bc I had marked the tire that needed repair and it was not rotated. Take it back and they complete the work and give me my money back and a certificate for a free oil change. Unacceptable. I give them a F in my book. Shady workers and scammers. read more

First time. It's not the fastest place around. I had the tires rotated and balanced and oil changed..took about 1:20. It was a while, and I made an appointment. But I don't know how much weight that carries. Got a quote on another service and it was ab out 30% higher than it costs the last time I did it 1 year ago.
