Got 4 new tires. PSI 31, 30, 33, 33 when I left. Christina the lady working the front desk said that the tires pressure would go up after I drove it a few miles. It did not. I had to go back to dealership to get the brand new tires up to the recommend pressure. The time before this I asked if my windshield wiper fluid was topped off. The front desk person said it should have been. Unfortunately it was left empty. This is a terrible location to do business with. read more

Over the years, I have purchased several sets of tires from Firestone on Haywood Rd. Cisco has always helped me with getting my new tires. He is a wonderful young man; he is very friendly, helpful, and energetic. On my way to work this morning, I heard something rubbing my front tire. Luckily, I was close to Firestone, and I immediately said that I need to take car to them. Just as I knew they would, my problem corrected very quickly. What fantastic service - from Alicia on the phone and front office to Kevin's expertise and persistence in finding what was wrong with my car to Cisco managing the process and customer care! I was visiting Greenville for the weekend and about to head back to Atlanta and had transmission issues with my car - they ran diagnostics and Kevin's tweaked or did what his brilliance did to get my car to a safe point to get me 135 miles home! Cisco suggested driving on cruise control which helped prevent the transmission from slipping! They even made me promise to call and let them know I made it home safe! On March 9th they supposedly changed my front wheels bearing at the firestone on Haywood street in Greenville SC. For about 8 days the noise in my car reappeared. Today I had my car checked at the same place where it was repaired. Surprisingly, the manager told me that the wheel bearing on the left front tire failed. The question is why the left part failed if the wheels bearing must be changed wide. The manager's response was not enlightening. He admitted that both front wheel bearings should be changed at the same time, but they just didn't. The only thing the manager did was threaten us with calling the police. read more

Having called and spoke with Ted (the tire manager) on Wed. about ordering 2 rear tires for my car. He said that they would be in by the weekend, I said great I'll make an appointment for have the work done. Before leaving to drive up to Haywood Rd, I called and got told that Ted didn't order them. No reason or excuse, just didn't order them. The following week we had to call again to speak with Alan (store manager) and get him to order the tires. Guess what, 2 tires and a new battery were there waiting for us and we were able to get the work done. Well done, Alan. Shame-on-you, Ted. read more

My wife needed a tire plugged and put back on her car in place of the donut. She showed up Saturday wanting it fixed and put back on. They said they were backed up and it would be three hours before they could get to it. She had to go to work and left tire to be fixed and would return Sunday. She came in Sunday and tire was not plugged and had to go to work. They called and left message saying the tire was fixed on Sunday and she came on her break. They said that it would be about an hour and a half. So, then she calls Monday to see when would be a good time to come by to install tire and the guy said it was Monday and they were backed up. Alrighty then....we went to Firestone on Woodruff Road and they intalled "one tire" quickly and efficiently and we also paid for an alignment. What is wrong with the Haywood Road location? read more

This is an indirect encounter review. It was time for another oil change on my car, so we loaded up the kids in hubby's car and he followed me to Firestone. We were able to find two parking spaces next to each other on a Sunday morning, which is always a plus. While hubster went inside to check if they would have time to do the oil change I waited with the kids in his car. He came back and said they would call us once the service has been completed. We were able to get our shopping done and then pick up the car without any problems. As with most chain mechanics I believe the $40+ price for an oil change is quite the highway robbery. We are hoping to do our oil changes in our personal driveway in the near future once we have purchased all the equipment we need. Less hassle and more money saved! I do remember when Jason used to be the manager of this particular Firestone location. He was always friendly and courteous. But that was 7 - 10 years ago when I first lived in the Upstate. I have been a customer here for years at the behest of my father. He uses the logic that if they work on the car once they should always work on it. Over the years I've been overcharged for all my basic maintenance and received lackadaisical customer service. They have also charged me 1100 bucks to replace a 300 dollar radiator; they installed it improperly and caused my thermostat and water pump to break immediately which they then charged me to fix. They did sell me a cheap pair of tires and I drove over a nail a few months later. They offered to fix it but as I'm sitting here I've had a guy pitch me a credit card incessantly and insult my cars condition. I'm also an hour and half in to what I was told would take 35 minutes. They will eventually get around to your overpriced maintenance though so 2 stars. read more

I was just wanting an oil change. I have been going to Firestone service centers since I lived in Charlotte, but I was bumped twice in two days at this location. Who has time to wait hours just for an oil change and then to be told that I wasn't in the system when another of their employees said I was is just frustrating. Getting an oil change shouldn't be like Congress trying to pass a bill. I will never go there again. read more

Went to this location for an oil change and ended up being told I needed a pressure test done on my cooling system, due to a low level of coolant. Had that done and everything came back fine. Started hearing noises/rattling and looked to find that when they undid my air intake to perform the pressure test, they broke the 2 of the plastic pop rivets (fine, not a big deal they break, just put new ones in). Instead they put the old ones back in, which ended up being sucked (and caught) in my air filter and the intake was flopping around. I've been going to this Firestone for the past 7 yrs for my car and tires needs, but after this experience I'm going to look to somewhere else. read more

This will be the last time I bring business to this Firestone location. This is second time it has taken an unreasonable amount of time to get something done. I'm driving a car leased by my company from Enterprise. I dropped it off at 8am for a quick oil change and was told it would be done around 9:30. The staff here called Enterprise and told them the truck needed four new tires when they absolutely did not need tires. It's 2:45 and I'm still waiting. If they wanted to upsell tires to Enterprise when they obviously weren't needed and take advantage of the fact that an enterprise rep wasn't up here to see that tires weren't needed , fine. But it would have been a good business practice to call the person waiting on the truck to see if they had time to wait, which we didn't. We could have brought it back the next day. On top of that, they could certainly work on their customer service skills. There are plenty of other places right in this vicinity, I will be sure to take my personal car as well as my company trucks somewhere else. read more
