We were visiting NC and had a tire blow out. We had purchased the tires on our car from a Firestone shop in our home state, so we automatically looked for one where we were. We expected good service but these folks went above and beyond to help us, especially Arin. We had no appointment but he addressed our situation immediately and explained the options clearly and knowledgeably; we decided to replace all four tires while we were there. He changed a frustrating situation into a plan we felt good about. He was such a personable young man that the glitch in our trip washed away. read more

These guys do my annual inspections (3 cars) and I have been going there for years. Always courteous, friendly and responsive. Never an issue. You need to understand that shops that do state inspections do not make money on an inspection. By default, all these shops will go through the obvious and inspect other areas (fluids and quality of, brakes, etc, etc,) and provide an opinion/recommendation as to what they see and recommend servicing (whether there / elsewhere). I am mechanically inclined and do almost all of my own maintenance (timing belt, H20 pump, transmission. brakes, etc). I even plug my own tires when running over the occasional roofing nail (as long as it is not along side-wall). Note: NONE of the chain-type service shops repair tires because of liability. For example, I just had my CX5 serviced at Mazda (was going on trip and they had a $99 special on Synthetic Oil change and tire rotation - and free car wash). I do like to get "some" things done through the dealership I bought the car at (2017) - keeps me in good standing. Their service dept "recommended about $900 of "other" items they think should be considered. I can do most of them myself without issue. I never think of these as always being a "sales-pitch". I see them as data point. A reminder to look at the service manual recommendations and then decide what to do about it. read more

Stay away, profit GREED, went for a repair a flat tire, they refused to fix or even replace that one particular tire. According to the manager, Dave I have to replace all four tires, still in good condition and good thread and under warranty, "due to liability". Overselling stuff you don't need, be cautious! Not recommended, this is second time when service I don't ask for is being forced on me , poor practice to force customers onto services they don't really need. read more

Use this Firestone!!! We were on vacation and developed brake noise. They understood our urgency, worked us in, and promptly diagnosed the issue. They are definitely are friendly, professional & service oriented! While I was waiting another guy came in with an urgent need. Guess what - worked him in too! My engine blew while traveling through the area. I dealt with a number of the staff/managers as they did the analysis, gave me the bad news that the engine was dead etc. they only charged be $20. They then we're kind enough to work with me as I found a solution as to what to do with the car. If everyone in NC or High Point is this nice, I want to move. read more

This place is ok, I've taken my old car their a few times, seems they did a pretty good job. When I got a new car I took it there once for an oil change, the next morning I heard scrapping sounds as I was driving. I looked under my car and something was dragging from the car on the ground. they also suggested I rotate the tires it seemed to drive worse after they did. I did take it back, at first they were telling me could be something else (I knew it wasn't). After they test drove it they realized it was on them, they did correct both problems, but makes me feel like they did a rush job and didn't put much car on it. I'm hesitant to go back. I sent an email to what they said and never got a reply back. I tried again and when I got another oil change the oil filter was so loos I could take it off by hand. Looks like this location is seeking to perfect their scamming skills, based on other one-star reviews. This morning they tried it with me. I took my car in because my right-front tire was leaking air and needed repair. The store manager blatantly lied to me stating my tire that was leaking was beyond repair and needed to be replaced. He also said my left-front tire was in even worse condition than the one on the right and said I needed new ones, then quickly quoted me a price of $330. He also stated that if I were to have my car inspected, it would fail. It was great to see the look on his face when I told him it was inspected just last week...and it passed! Then he REPEATEDLY kept saying he would NEVER sell me i needed something I didn't need and that where I had my car inspected didn't do me any favors, due to the "danger" I was in. Needless to say, my front tires have plenty of wear left and there is NO EVIDENCE of balding anywhere on my tires. I guess they thought I didn't know what bald tires look like. I have gone there in years past and had great service. After today, they won't see me again. Scamming people is a disgusting trait and not something for which to be proud. Later in the day, I took my car to another tire service provider. They showed me that the problem was NOT my tires. It was the covers I was using. I tried to be fancy and bought covers that are supposed to indicate when my tires need air. They were pushing on the pin in the tire stem, causing air to leak. They replaced the covers at no charge. That tire service provider will be getting a stellar review from me. read more

This location advertises an opening time of 7:00 am on Saturdays. I went in this morning for an oil change, arriving at 7:00. The door was locked. Three employees in the bay huddled together and one (presumably the store manager) at the counter was doing paperwork. After making direct eye contact with me several times, the door remained locked. After a few minutes of standing there being ignored, I left and took my vehicle to another location. With the many choices that consumers have to receive car service, great customer service will distinguish your business and encourage repeat visits. Don't expect that here. read more

I Chose Firestone for a quick oil change because of my schedule and they were the only place open on the Sunday I was free. I have owned my vehicle for 9 years and have had no oil leaks. After their oil change it was leaking saucer size puddles of oil every stop. After a few days I took it back to them to check. Their answer was that the oil change was good, everything was tight, but I had blown a timing cover gasket and they could take care of this for $460.00. I declined their repair (at which time they offered me discounts to do it then) , and left with my vehicle. I called a more trusted shop I had used for years and had them quote the same repair, their price was $207.00 for the same repair. i scheduled it with them but to my surprise they called me 1/2 hour after I dropped it off to let me know that the gasket was not the problem, that the oil drain plug was not even tightened finger tight. They re tightened the plug and my oil leak is 100% gone. I feel this Firestone facility knew the plug was loose yet tried to pull a mechanic scam on me as I was not a "regular" customer. I will never return to this shop and will not recommend them to anyone else as they obviously prey on clients they "think" will not know the difference or question them. read more

I am sorry but I will not even give a star. to this business. they did fix the vale gaskets, but the next day I heard a noise and had to put in a qt of oil. so I take it back and was told it was the cadlic convertor and that it would be okay to drive. for a little while, well in a few days the sound got much worse. and to me it sounded like it was in the engine but okay I took their word as good. they are surpose to know more about it than me. well the oil pressure light came on. so I said okay not right . so took it to someone else. was told it was not the convertor. it was a rod in the engine .. and I was also told by this other shop owner, that if I had got it to him sooner it would had only been a 5oo.oo dollar fix but now we have to replace the engine a 200,000 dollar fix thanks to Firestone we have to put out money we do not have can not a ford a new car. fighting for disability going on 10 years.. so that is why this car has to stay running. until that time. I had all so called up there to let them know of their mistake. and was told that they give me that information in good faith. that may be so, because they do not know shit.. big difference in a rod knocking and a rattle of a cadilic convertor. they may be okay with tires. but for me not car repair..
