Took my murano in on Monday to see what was causing the issues in the front of my car. Zack and Ron were able to figure out I needed new sway bars and brakes and rotors on the front since the Nissan dealership I bought it from didn't look at the car before selling it to me. The rotors and brakes were not the correct ones for my car. I scheduled my car to be serviced for Thursday and got finished with work early Wednesday took my car in to drop it off and ask if they could possibly get the car done that day. They cranked it out so now I can get a full days work done on Thursday. First time coming here and my experience of service was horrible. My appointment was for 1pm and they finally took my car back at 1:40pm. As time goes by I ask one of the gentleman how much my service was gonna be. For 2 front rotors and 2 brake pads over $500. At that point I was already there a hour and haft. They never mentioned to me it was going to be a long waiting game cause they don't have the parts. 3:00pm parts arrived but still not working on my car. I had another appointment I had to go to. I didn't know I was going to be waiting for 3 hours for them to do nothing for my car. Mind you it was going to take another hour to put them on. You had 4 workers in the shop. And all these customers coming in not knowing they are gonna be waiting forever. Do you think we have all hours of the day just to have some of these services not to take over 2 hours. There was another customer who car sat in the parking lot for a hour and he was told his service would take 30min. Clearly that is a lie and that man has to spend 2 hours just for a 30min alignment. Oh this poor lady I felt sorry for her. She had a nice car with big tiers on it. Got a flat tire which I heard loudly it would cost her $250 but it gets better. Then they tell her that her other front tire is in bad shape. She will have to get another tier. She told me she felt pressure to get a second tire done. Her total with taxes was close to $500. Y'all need to work better with your customers service to people and be more up front if you don't have the parts at the shop. I recommend drive on over to Richey Tire and Service. I have been a satisfied Firestone customer for many years. It's great that they have the maintenance records of my cars, particularly when I have had a problem with the car while in another part of the state or in another part of the country. More recently, the water pump and rear shocks needed to be replaced. I generally take my car to the Firestone located a little over a mile from my home. They explained that they did not have the tools nor a master technician to replace the water pump. I was given a written estimate and suggested I take it to the dealership. Instead, I took it to a local Luke's Auto Repair Shop just to get an estimate. The work there would be considerably higher for the water pump and shocks. In fact, it was almost $1,000 more! So I called Firestone back to inquire if any of their other stores might be able to do the work. They referred me to their store in Hilliard, Ohio, nine miles away. They had a master technician that could complete the intense work of the water pump replacement. Indeed, they had! AJ, the master technician, not only did the work in record time, but he also corrected a problem that I gave up on years ago. Shortly after purchasing the car new, there was a problem with one of the car's functions. Each time I took it to the dealership, they seemed baffled at the cause and had a myriad of reasons why it was not functioning as it was supposed to. When I picked up my car from Firestone last week, with the water pump replaced and the rear shocks replaced, I noticed, to my surprise, that the function that had been inoperable for almost the life of the car, started working again. Driving from Illinois to Delaware when the SUV went into limp mode and died on I-70. Randomly chose Firestone in Hilliard to be towed to. It was nearly 5 pm when we arrived and Zack Cain, Sales Teamate, gave us special treatment. He got the car into the shop, personally diagnosed the issue (a mistake at a previous shop in Indiana), fixed it, had us back on the road before 7 pm. So I made an appointment. Had a confirmed appointment. I waited in line to be checked in and was told that he never confirmed the appointment. I said that's crazy. Why wouldn't somebody call me or send me an email to tell me that it wasn't confirmed and then guess what I found in my email a confirmed appointment. He told me that he cannot get me in that day and I could reschedule another day. I would never ever make an appointment again be told that I had an appointment and show up to the appointment to be turned away. I gave proof! read more

Horrible service every time that I come here. This was the only place that had an appointment on the weekend within the next two weeks. I made the appointment last week and they had told me on the phone that they shouldn't have a problem having tires in stock for my vehicle and then I show up today and they tell me that they don't have any tires in stock for my vehicle and we would have to make ANOTHER appointment and these tires would be 100 dollars more than what I was quoted for. I just went to Firestone, and was quoted 2k+ in repairs. I then went to my guy with a mom and pop garage. He told me, and showed me, that my power steering pump was improperly installed. A pump installed by Firestone, 4 years and 20k miles ago. I just left his shop for $250. I would strongly suggest you take your vehicle somewhere else. This is fraudulent activity. I make an appointment for 4 new tires and an oil change. I walk in at 4:50pm (5 o'clock appt.), I tell them I have a 5 o'clock for 4 new tires & oil change, and if it's the most normal thing in t world he says "we close at 5pm", web site says 7pm close. So I ask how can I make an appt. for 5? He blames headquarters, mmmkay. I walk out and he suggests making a new appt. what a naive little man. You would think they see appts after closing time and they can't call? Ridiculous, not going there anymore. #YMMV read more

Scheduled an appointment and showed up 10 minutes early. Waited 15 minutes in line to check in to be informed that they might not be able to fit me in today to fix my flat tire. They offered to let me leave my car there for 1-2 days to have the nail removed and the hole plugged. I asked if I could make another appointment that would guarantee me getting my tire fixed. They offered me to sit around until close and they'd try to squeeze me in but no guarantee. You shouldn't have to rent a car for 2 days to get a nail removed. I went across the street to a different garage who took me as a walk in and got it fixed in 10 minutes. The staff was kind at Firestone but they need more staffing or help of some kind. read more

They have made my 2023 a complete nightmare. -$5000 and I bring it home to find the AC not working and the engine overheating (two problems I didn't have). I take a look and see my coolant res is broken. It is right near the battery which they worked on (obviously they cracked it replacing the battery). A new reservoir is $35 and then ask for an additional $250 !!!!! read more

Firestones seem to be hit and miss. I've had bad experiences, and good ones. This place is definitely one of the good ones. I'm sure it depends on the staff and management. I'm not going to write the reviews I probably ought to about a couple of other locations; let's just say I'm going to be going to this location and the Sunbury Rd. one from now on... I have a couple of odd old cars, and these guys listened to me (the few things I know about the weirdness) and took the time to call around to talk to people who know more about them. And then spent a lot of time trying to get things right, on what is essentially a money-loser for them (I have the lifetime alignment, which is a great deal if you keep the car more than a year or two.) I'll bring my cars back here for stuff I can't do myself, from now on. read more

I dropped my Jeep Wranger off on Saturday for some routine maintenance: oil change, tire rotation, and replace the battery. I received a call from Dale stating that I needed to spend an additional $400 to replace the alternator as it was "overcharging the battery". I had no problems with the battery other than it was now 6 years old and was overdue to be replaced. They actually REFUSED to replace my battery as requested UNLESS I also spent the extra $400 on the unnecessary alternator replacement, which I declined. Then they charged me $25.99 for the service of telling me they wouldn't replace my battery. I understand that business is probably slower right now due to the pandemic, but trying to rip off your customers is not the way to go. I'll be going elsewhere for the new battery and all future maintenance work. read more

Headlight out on a dark and dreary, and very busy day so I need to get it changed immediately. They say it might take an hour to get it done. I reluctantly decide it needs to be done so I sit down to wait. They got it done in about 15 minutes! Brian, the mechanic who took care of it, had a few extra minutes, and took the initiative to go outside and take care of it. Robert, the manager, was very helpful and professional. I took my truck there for an "inspection" and a headlight bulb replacement. Long story short they wanted $1400 to do just the front brakes and rotors! Tried convincing me it was not safe to drive home and needed done now, blah blah. I bought all the parts at O'reily's and found a local shop and the total cost to me was $400. And was told by the guy "yeah you needed brakes but it wasn't dangerous by any means." On top of all that they charged $90 for the bulb while telling me, you have a clip missing and it'll go out as soon as you hit a bump anyways. Gee - thanks. They're snakes and way way way overprice their work and try to convince you your car absolutely needs it. Absolutely don't recommend. Shop around first read more

My biggest fear in taking a vehicle to any shop is that they will sell me on something I don't need and I would never know. Below is my experience from today. I took my car in because I was told it needed a new alternator. They took the car back and came out a few minutes later and said that it was only a loose cable and they tightened it up for me and I was good to go. Nothing like waking up in the morning and discovering that your car battery has died. After reading reviews on the several auto service centers on Hilliard-Rome (including the Walmart Tire/Lube Express), I decided to take my changes at Firestone. Pros: -Friendly service adviser (Michael) was very personable and down-to-earth. When I told I probably needed a new battery, he asked clarifying questions to make sure it was what I needed. Michael also assured me they would test the battery. -While Michael said they fully booked for the day, he said they would try to get to my car as soon as possible, and they could probably get to it within 1-2 hours. They got to it 30 minutes! -Michael clearly explained the battery's warranty and what happens if I should need it replaced within the warranty period. -There were no hard-sells or pressure to purchase additional services that I didn't need. Cons: -Battery prices online do not match what may be offered in store. While they offer 'in-store pricing' on the website, I was told it was for batteries without a warranty. Not a big deal, but beware. -Waiting area is smallish. You always walk to Kohl's or Sam's Club to walk around, but there are only a few chairs. Again, not the biggest issue in the world. -Coffee in the lobby is the worst. Granted, I don't think I've ever had 'good' coffee in an auto's center waiting area, but some sugar or sweetner would be nice. All in all, Firestone seems like a solid choice for basic auto maintenance. I typically go to the dealer for oil changes and other issues (as they report to CarFax), but I wouldn't hesitate to come here for alignments or other basic needs. read more

I am not a fan of this place. I decided to get two tires from here because they had the best price. But if you want the service, all-around best price then across the street gives you that deal. I didn't realize that their low price doesn't include some of the perks that Discount gives you. Also the man who helped, which I think may have been the shirt manager, was very curt with me when I came in. I felt like he didn't want to answer a few of the questions or give me the full service. Why I still bought two tires, blame it on my frugality which thought about money. The guy who helped me at the end was much more polite and social. I am not planning on returning here because of the great service across the street. This teaches me for listening to my pocketbook. read more

It seems like every time I come here, i find something else wrong with my vehicle. I came here a couple weeks ago and had a couple of repairs done. I immediately noticed after I picked it up that my car is now creaking when I go over speed bumps. That is something it was not doing before. I also noticed my steering wheel squeaks too when turning it which also did not happen before. And if that were happening before I can't seem to understand why they wouldn't have listed it in the problems section of the paperwork when they did the full inspection. I also asked them to check the noise my car was making and never got an explanation for that. I asked for a tire rotation and they did not do that. I've been taking my car here for years but I think it's time to find somewhere else to service my vehicle. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I was able to. I had a tire that was leaking so I went in to get it fixed. After two hours of waiting they let me know that my car was ready to go. Upon getting in and starting my car, my engine light and traction control light were on and I had warnings that my advancetrac needed serviced, all which were never on before. I went in to tell them all this and they basically told me I was out of luck. To top it all off when I got home I noticed they didn't even put my valve stem caps back on two of the tires. Went for an alignment. Car was returned faster than normal. When I questioned why some values were still out of spec the person claimed the car was a fixed rear axel when it really was a car that needs four wheel alignment. He then corrected the statement and claimed it frozen due to age. The car had an alignment 4 months ago without problems. Due to the time spent I do not think they even tried to align the rear wheels. read more

I noticed that my car was making a clicking noise and I still had 500 miles to travel to return home. I walked in and was treated with respect and kindness. I don't find this to happen very often when you are a woman going to a mechanic with an issue with your car. Fortunately the problem was very minor (heat shield for Y-pipe dangling loose), it was fixed as well as my tires being inspected and one that was low was filled with air. I recommend this service center and am very grateful that Jacob was so helpful with getting my auto issue resolved and I was able to get back on the road and home safely. Thank you! read more

My tires had awful rain rot. Called this location and they let me know to wait on purchasing tires till their deal started 2 weeks later. Called the day prior and they were able to get me in. They are also very flexible I wasn't able to make my set time and they let me reschedule for later time in the day. Upon getting there they were able to check me in right away. Had the car due to pick up at 5 and it was ready an hour early! I cannot express how kind and friendly the two men, William and someone else we didn't get the name of, at the counters were! They were able to get us the $100 off for all 4 tires. Then an additional $50 for signing up with their CC (which you should check out, amazing benefits if you qualify). Took my SUV in for an oil change & diagnostic tune up since I just purchased this used vehicle. This cost $180. Upon pulling out, I noticed multiple dash lights on (no low battery light) & thought they may turn off after a few miles. The next day, my car wouldn't start so I spend 1/2 the arranging a tow back to Firestone and ended up paying another $160 for a new battery. They also explained the dash lights being on due to a Honda recall which I later confirmed was not true. I will never again go to Firestone, especially the Hilliard location, and I suggest you avoid them as well. read more

If you need an oil change, brakes, or tires, these guys will get the job done. They are the great clips of car repair places. Don't let them near your engine though! i won' take a car to this place if it was the last one in ohio. i took a car in with a screw in the tire, in the tread not the side, but it the tread. the man told me they couldn't fix it, i had to get a new one, i have had tires just like this and they fix it... i will never go to any of the shops.... This is a great Firestone. I frequent it regularly for oil changes and maintenance on my older car. The employees are always very friendly and welcoming. The inside is nice and clean so you can wait inside or walk to a nearby store. As a lady, I sometimes get anxious dealing with my car because I know very little about cars. But I never felt uncomfortable or like they were trying to up-sell me. I would definitely recommend it. read more

I actually found a Firestone that knew what they were doing. I have been to 3 Firestone one in Illinois, Indiana and then Ohio explaining that my low light had come on but no one can seem to find out why. Well amazing this one actually found a nail in it repaired. He was even able to get the sensor light out which had not been able to be done. I had a problem with my front tire making some strange noises, ended up my lug nuts came loose and one fell off. They tightened my lug nuts, didn't replace the one that fell off but charged me handsomely for it. There's a $20 something dollar minimum just to look at your car. Don't expect any five star personalized service as you would from a hometown mechanic, these guys are a ripoff, you're better off going to Walmart. read more

Asuming the tires I bought (firestone affinity) don't fall off or explode in the next couple of days, I'm going to say they did a great job. Got the car in and out in good order. On time and on budget. They did actually check things as I knew I had an issue, that they found. I would have knocked off a half star tho, as the the brand new tires they put on were covered in some kind of white grease.... These guys were great! I had my alignment done after installing new struts then drove the car from California to Ohio. Somewhere along the way, the alignment slipped out...but Firestone in Hilliard honored the guarantee of the work of the guys in California and did a fine job. Also, the manager (I think he was the manager!) was super professional, polite and offered great service. He knew I was planning on leaving on a road trip the following day and pulled a small miracle of scheduling to get my car finished that same night. I was impressed.
