Have been going to this location for several years now. Took my daughter's Jeep in yesterday for brakes, oil change and rear axle seals. Knew this all ahead of time. My daughter is in her second year of autos in high school. Was called and told they couldn't get the rear seals done because they need to be sent to a machine shop and the shop was closed for the weekend, ok no problem, just do the brakes and oil change. We can bring the Jeep back during the week. They call and tell me it's ready. Couldn't pick it up until the morning, Mother's Day, go pick it up get bill showing front and rear brakes both with rotors and oil change. In the way home my daughter noticed that they didn't change the window sticker. We get home she goes under and the oil filter hasn't been changed, pops the hood, oil is dark and low. Head back over talk to the store talk to service manager, Lance, tell him the oil was not changed. Kinda funny watching my daughter read him off about what wasn't done. Lance in turn talks to one of the techs, who has that deer in the headlights look, about the oil change he has no answer. Lance offers a refund or leave it for them to complete the work. Can't leave it right away go back and drop it off about an hour later. Lance offers to do a full synthetic oil change as compensation for not getting it done the first time. Haven't picked it up yet, will shortly. I know once we get it back she is checking the oil, oil filter and sticker. Already said she it taking it into shop at school and checking the brakes and rotors. I'll know by Tuesday if the rotors were changed. All the way back to the store and back home she was saying how can you mess up an oil change. Not sure what she might do if the rotors weren't changed. She already has said we need to find somewhere else for the seals. That was the reason we went to Firestone, the school doesn't have the tools for that, figured get everything done at once. This experience has me second guessing all the work I've had done at this location over the last few years. I'll post more once she checks the brakes. Checked the oil, oil filter and window sticker all look good. Hopefully they changed the filter, same color as the last one. I should have marked it so I would know. Visual check of brakes and rotors, all look new. Lance gave us the store managers card, Henry Linares, with a hand written one free oil change and his name on the back. I want to know if Henry has any other Firestone shops so if I decide to try them again I don't visit another of his locations. I know he can't be there all the time and watch everything but if you can't trust your employees to at least get the basics right you have problems. Poor service...please stay away from this firestone especially at this location..they are there just to rip off customer not to provide the service. I left my car for oil change and break inspection. They called me after 3 hours and said i have very bad rear left tire and they strongly recommended me to change the tire, which was a new tire i had recently replaced. There was nothing wrong with the tire. It was new. read more

They are crooks. I came just for tires and was told I needed new pads and rotors. My car has a warning light when I need new pads so I know they were lying. read more

i'm very disappointed with this place. I had nail in my tire so i brought it there to get it repaired. i was told it can't be repaired because it's about an inch from the edge. i bought a warranty but i was told that the warranty only covers portion of it because of the wear and tear and my tires wear are uneven. I take my car there regularly to get rotated and aligned. so why are they uneven? idk. so they want me to get a new tire that would cost me over $90. I took my tire to another place and got it repaired no problem. Also, every time i take my car there they always find something wrong and tries to get me to spend more money.. read more

I went there to get new tires, I totally agree that i got a good deal on the tires, guy at the store also told me if i got the tires the same day I would get a discount on installation charges. that was the good part. I think in haste to finish the job fast they put more force on the alloy wheels and one of the alloy wheel had a really bad bruise with metal pealed off and rest of the three also had some rough work on them. I think any care service place should not only offer good deals but also get the job done in neat way not damage expensive accessories or other parts. I usually go to the Firestone at Woodfield Mall, about 1 mile away from this location. That one is nice because you can go browse, and they are very fast during lunch and on weekends. I went to the one here off Roselle. They said they'd call me in about 45 mintues, just an oil change and they had 2 bays open. I got the call and walked back from Caribou coffee, great stuff BTW, much better than Starbucks! So I arrived and my hood was still open! I waiting for 20 more minutes there just for them to show me the "cabin filter-scam" $39.99 + labor. This is the scam they get females on that know nothing about cars. Most filters have some dust, so they try to freak females into believing their families at risk if they don't get it changed. I do a lot of camping, so I get really big things like leaves in the air filter. He asked if I wanted a new one, I told him no, I can get one at Walmart for $18.88 and put it in myself. I asked if he could maybe shake the leaves out, since it was obvious you could separate them easily as they were 3-4 inches big. He told me that I was threatening my breathing health, and pressured me to get it replaced ASAP. I again said no, please just shake the excess out before you put it back. He also told me that 'shaking-it' would not get the micro organisms and pollen that his new one would fix.I was also told my alignment was off, but the #'s are off by 1 out of a scale of 15. In lamine terms that is pretty darn close for tires with 22,000 miles and no re-alignments done yet. He seemed mad he did not get a sale from me at this scam, so I then proceeded to ask if I could see the level of my oil. He asked why, I told him that my dad told me to check this the first oil-change I got when I was 16, because places like this may skip 1/4-1/8th quart here and there, which adds up. He seemed upset and said they'd have to bring the car back into the bay to show me. I of course had no problem after this point. I could feel something fishy here. Sure enough, with much resistance, it WAS off by about 1/8th! I told them to top that off, so they did. I am not able to check under my car to see if they put a new oil filter, but when I get home I certainly will!!! Another trick, next time you get your oil change done, ask them for the new filter and sign your initals on it with permenant marker. Then when you get it replaced again, ask for the old one. If your intials or marks not there, it's not your old one! I got this tip from 60 mintues years ago, so I take no credit! Goto the WOODFIELD FIRESTONE!!! I have never had a problem, they don't pressure you, they're very nice, professional, curtious, and they're not scammers! They always have you car ready when they call, and it's still not in the bay awaiting an upsale! BTW, went to Walmart, bought new filter, $18.88! When I went to put it in, all the leaves were still in the filter! What a crock! read more

I called yesterday to see if I could bring my car in today for an oil change and because something was wrong with my power steering (it was making a moaning/sick type of noise when I moved the steering wheel, and of course the sound was worse when I made turns). Spiros told me I could bring it in at 10 am if I could leave it. He said they had 2 other appointments at 10 am but if I could leave it they could do it. I dropped my car off shortly after 10 am and again told him about the strange noises. He told me that they would have it ready by 4:00. So, I hung out at my parents house (who live close by). At about 4:15 Spiros called me to tell me that they would have to replace the power steering pump and replace the fluids, but that he would do it tomorrow (Sunday). I informed him that I needed my car to drive back home to Chicago tonight. He said he didn't know I had to drive back to Chicago. I'm not sure how he didn't know that because my current address, in Chicago, is in their computer. Needless to say, I was not happy. At all. Fuming actually. I called the day before, I dropped my car off just after 10 am, and I finally got a call at 4:15 to tell me they couldn't fix it tonight. I asked him if it was safe to drive and he said they would top it off with fluids, but that I should get it fixed as soon as possible. Well that's what I was trying to do today when I cancelled all my plans to bring my car in to be fixed. Now I have wasted 6 hours waiting around for my car NOT to be fixed. When I asked Spiros why I wasted half a day there he told me that they were short staffed and busy and that only a couple technicians can do the work that I needed done, and that those couple technicians leave at 5:00. And I found all this out at 4:15. Now I have to find someplace else to get my car fixed, and waste who knows how much more time, because I am certainly not ever going back to Firestone after this experience, which is sad because my entire family has been bringing our cars to this Firestone for 30 years. Every time I go to this store in always taken care of. Spiros is the gentleman I've encountered the most. Very nice and super helpful. The one time in particular that actually brought me back here to comment was the last time I took my car to this Firestone location. I had to get quite a few things done on my car so I left it there for the weekend. I get a call saying that the guy who would program my car won't be in until Monday morning at 9. So I get my car back Sunday then bring back Monday morning at 9. The programmer was running very late and I had work at 11AM. So Ramon was generous enough to drive me to work. After they finally got my car programmed, Ramon and someone else drive my car back to where I work because I wouldn't get out until 7!! Honestly, super sweet and one of the best experiences I've had at any car shop. They go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. Thanks guys! read more

These guys saved my day. I got a flat tire on my way to work and I called everywhere I normally go, only to get nowhere. I called Firestone and they got me in right away. Literally, immediately . Communication was great, I didn't feel awkward in the waiting area, manager was friendly and funny. I was given the best auto treatment ever. They earned my business for life read more

I brought my Honda for a quick oil change. Waited little longer than usual than the employee comes up to tell me my break line is busted!.. I told him my brakes worked just fine! He brought me over explaining it was really rusty. I DIDN'T SEE ANY RUST!!!!!! Than out of nowhere , and nothing I even thought of, he says 'we didn't lift your car up on your brake line, we lifted it up correctly'. After arguing for an hour and knowing they fuc*ed up I knew they wouldn't take the blame. I ended up spending over $300 plus $20 for the oil change because I neede my car for work. On a routine visit for an oil change, I waited on a Saturday morning for the job to be completed. Upon notification by the store manager that the work was completed, I drove away. My car got only two blocks before it stopped running. To my surprise I discovered no oil had been put into my car and the plug had not been replaced. My car was towed back in, a rental was set up for me. I received a call from the store manager and was told there was no damage to my car and all was ok. I expressed my disapproval with this and a claim was then filed after I received a call from the area manager. Still unsatisfied I received another call from a claims rep who offered to take my car to any place of my choice. My car went to a local dealership but also found nothing wrong but only ran tests that Firestone told them to do. Still unsatisfied I now received a call from the area retail manager was was told that nothing more would be done but promised me his word for a warranty. I asked for it in writing but I was told that don't do that besides it was documented in the claim. So I asked for a copy of the claim but was denied that as well. I explained that Firestone never even flushed the oil by doing another oil change just is case. I was offered a free oil change but had already paid for one at the dealership. Never the less Firestone is a company the purely doesn't care about their customers nor do they stand behind their work. On 6/26/2016 I brought my vehicle into Firestone Complete Auto Care, 1050 N Roselle Rd Hoffman Estates, IL 60169 to repair a flat tire. I was there for approximately 45 minutes when the service adviser (Spiros) called me to the counter. He stated that they had patched the tire and it was going to be $27.28 for the repair. My invoice states that they had replaced a 2040K Tire pressure monitoring sensor service kit ($5.99), Flat Repair-Patch-Plug ($1.99), TPMS Valve Service Kit Labor ($2.00), Flat Repair Balance Labor ($7.00) and Flat Repair Labor ($10.00). After a couple of days, I noticed that the tire was flat again and brought it into NTB Tire & Service at 186 S Weber Rd Bolingbrook, IL 60490. After examining the tire, the service reps at NTB stated that "they were 100% certain that no patch or plug had been installed to repair my tire at any time". Meaning, Firestone Complete Auto Care of Hoffman Estates, essentially put air in the tire and gave it back to me without ever doing the repair, even though my invoice shows work having been done and the amount charged. This is extremely negligent and dishonest behavior on Firestone's part as they not only lied about the service performed, but ultimately put my life in danger by giving me my car back with an unfixed tire. read more
