They messed up my car AC and didn't know why!!! 10/10/2021 I came here for battery replacement and ask them to replaced my wiper too. After everything was done, I was on my way to home, but I realized there's something wrong with my AC, it's been almost 15mins but still not cold , the air come out is hot. I immediately went back and explained the situation to them. After waiting for about 10 minutes, they told me that they didn't know what the reason was, they just changed the battery, that's all !!! Excuse me!!! I just let your guys changed the battery too, I didn't expected that happen to my AC. Around 6:20pm, I was going to Times to buy something , I found there's the caution light is flashing and there's the light on both side of the handles. That's never happened before, and now they said that's not theirs fault. It likes I installed the cabinets and somehow I hit the plumbing, and now you say I just installed the cabinets, whatever happened to the plumbing is none of my business! (Zero stars) Nightmare experience! IMO, incompetent. Judge for yourself. Went there to buy four tires and get an alignment done. Left with improper alignment (had to have it redone at a different location, sure as hell wasn't going back), imbalanced tires (car was shaking when I was doing 60 mph on the freeway), and over inflated tires. I asked before I left if they properly inflated the tires to factory specs, and I was reassured it was done correctly. Factory specs: 32 psi front, 38 psi rear. I checked with the car's sensor upon leaving: Front 37/39 psi, rear 42/38 psi. All four tires had different psi. How is that possible? Manager tried to renege on their "Match price" policy. I called for a quote, and was told they match price. I called back to make an appointment, and told them Costco is $7 less per tire. I also asked if I needed to have any documentation to validate Costco's price and was told "no". When I checked my car in, I asked again and was told "no". When they handed me the bill, they charged me regular price. I asked to speak to the manager, and he told me they need a hard copy of the quote. What???!!!! To appease me, he offers a $100 rebate (actually $70) for buying four Bridgestone tires, which is was already entitled to, but they never mentioned it. For me, the $28 they tried to overcharge me is peanuts. It's a matter of principle. I should have spent my $1200 at Costco. Called Firestone Pearl Kai (5 stars) and asked them if they could fix the mess that the Kalihi location made out of my car. Wilson and John bent over backwards, took me on very short notice, and completed the job the way it should have been done the first time. Rebalanced the tires, redid the alignment, and double checked the tire pressure. Friendly, accommodating and professional. If you have to go to Firestone, Pearl Kai is #1. read more

I picked up lunch and went to start my car. Zilch! I replaced my batter at Sears a few months ago only for them to close up shop! Called the Pearlridge location and no answer! Not wanting to be stuck again, I called Firestone to help me out. The staff member who took my call told me to bring it in to test the battery. I pulled right up and he immediately went to test. The test came up with a faulty cell Thanks Sears! I knew I was taking a gamble asking if they could fit me into a busy Friday schedule. They informed me that they could take me right in! SO AWESOME considering I have meetings this afternoon. For peace of mind, I decided to change out the battery and be on my way. Thank you Firestone for coming to my rescue! read more

I love shopping just as much as the next girl, but there are certain things that can just never be fun to buy, like tires. The excitement of this undertaking is equivalent to studying for a calculus final. There is a lot to think about like mounting fees, tire disposal charges and servicing your tpms and more blah blah nonsense that you don't even care to think about. And then there is the sales tax. The country and this state needs to get their cut too. So all in all after all if you're lured in by a great deal from tire companies, it's actually a few hundred dollars more than you anticipated. It always feels like I'm buying my car over $600 dollars worth of shoes as opposed to a coach bag for myself, crazy! Well, the car needed new shoes, and I'm downright a tire abuser. The tire pro that worked on my car at Firestone said there was no tread left on my last set, and gave me a wallet card like device to measure it for my next set. We have to give a shout out to Lianne who so patiently walked us through what would be the best tire selection for our car and all the servicing that we would need ( All under $400!!). Unfortunately there were only two tires in inventory left, of the tire we selected, BUT Lianne, made arrangements for someone to go get the other two from another location for us, so we didn't have to do that! Sweet! So we had an excuse to have brunch at the Pancake House (right next door) which we can never go to due to the tremendous wait for a table, so convenient of how everything worked out. Our car was re-shoed in an hour less than what was quoted, and the only thing that could not be done was an alignment because they don't work on Mercedes for that. But Lianne recommended a walk in place in Kalihi 2 minutes away, which is where we went next. Tire shopping and buying can just be time consuming and not something you want to spend your hard earned money on. But, this Firestone location made it as quick and cost effective for us as possible. I hope it's a while until my car needs new shoes again but we'll come back to this location when he does. read more

This Firestone seems to be exceptionally busy. My friend brought in his Toyota Camry for the $19.26 special 90 year anniversary oil change special. I also wanted my car done but because I Drive a BMW and it requires special synthetic oil, the oil change was going to be over $70. We will actually over an hour early for his appointment but check in was a fast and easy. They even promised the car to be ready the sooner than expected. Other people came in after us and wanted walk in appointments but they were turned away because they were booked solid for a whole week. The next available appointment was 7 days away. Definitely make sure to make an appointment before coming to this Firestone. They are super busy! read more

Dropped by today just to get air pumped into my tires since my tire light was on and I realized that of all the times I've been here, I never wrote a review yet! I've been coming here for all my car needs since 2013, except for safety checks. I sometimes come for oil changes but that's only when I want to rotate or change my tires. I don't believe that tires is all this place is good for though. I've had my car serviced before and I like that they call me to update and let me know of any other issues concerning my car. I don't find myself returning for the same issue like I did before with other shops. Customer service is always great. They're so nice here. I needed to get my tires change out due to cracking and safety check was due. I made an appointment a few days earlier. I spoke with a male over the phone. He stated he would order the tires from another location on island. On the day of the appointment (8:00am) I spoke with the manager at the register. The manager stated they do not have the tires in the store and he can have them delivered on that day, but it won't be until 1:00pm. The person who took my call did not make the order to have the tires delivered to the store prior to the appointment. I then had to go to another store that had the tires in stock and came in as a walk-in and waited wayyyy longer than expected. I did not have time to wait until 1pm, that's why appointments are made. The frustrating part is taking off of work and having your day planned out due to certain appointments that really needed addressing, but because of someone not doing their job properly. It has inconvenienced someone's else's time. I value my time even if it is just for a tire change, I still had to take time out of my day only to get inconvenienced and time wasted. To the manager that had to "deal" with me. Thank you for staying professional and still kept a helpful attitude. I took my sons car who was at a dentist appointment nearby,his car needed new tires but he said he went to the Kaneohe location that he didn't like.So I took it here.My appointment was at 10:00am, and when I parked in front of the office I was greeted outside by a customer representative.He already knew my name because he was expecting me at 10:00. I called ahead of time to make sure they had the tires I needed.He checked out what brands were available.He also recommended that I purchase the warranty that if I needed a flat repair I can take it to any Firestone location and get it repaired for free. He informed me that it would take about 90 minutes to finish replacing 4 tires and call me on my cell when the car would be ready.So I went to have breakfast nearby. I went back to Firestone to wait in a are where they had multiple phone lines hooked to a battery to charge your phone ,after everybody Ieft I took the remote to watch a episode of SVU. The attendant came several times telling me the car will be done soon.He showed me paperwork that the tires on my sons car were on sale and just as good as the higher prices tires and if I could wait the tires would be aligned for free. So when he explained the charges on the bill listed things like taking off the tires then mounting the new ones and all the steps it took to work on the car,the final was total was lower then the price quoted on the phone!! The customer service and wait time that I was told was shorter than expected.The people who were there for the same work had left due to fast workers.What really blew me away was that the bill was even lower because he gave me his employee discount!!#%!!Fi.Five Star rating gaurenteed! I needed to change one of my tires, due to some damage that I discovered while driving home. I stopped by at another tire shop but they didn't have the model that matched the three other tires and an order would take 1-2 weeks to arrive. I wanted to see if I could find something that day, and they suggested that Firestone on Dillingham might be able to accommodate. Firestone Sales rep Gino took a look at the damage and said he would try to get a matching tire delivered that afternoon. The other option, if I was in a real hurry, was to get a different but comparable tire right away, rotate the tires (at no charge). This way, I wouldn't feel too much difference driving. I didn't want to cause irregularities or damage to the car, so I said I wanted to know if an exact matching tire was on island. Since I needed to get home first, I asked him if he could call me when he got the info afterwards, with a quote and then we would go from there. A few minutes later, he called me and gave me the options. Thankfully, a matching tire could arrive in a few hours. He said that typically, he cannot order a tire unless I leave the vehicle there first. However, I explained that I needed the vehicle and wasn't comfortable dropping it off just to confirm my order. He was understanding. So, he said he would go ahead and order the tire anyway, and we made an appointment for 2pm. I dropped off the car at 2pm, and it was ready in half-an-hour. They put on some tire shine and it was done. I found Gino to be friendly, courteous, professional and willing to work with my needs. He looked for best options for me and made the process quick and easy. I'm glad I got same day service whereas it might have taken 1-2 weeks for another shop to get me what I needed. read more

Went in for a tire alignment, and when I received my car back, the steering wheel was not straight - as if I didn't even get an alignment. I drove my car back and spoke with the older Japanese man, whom had horrible customer service (he seemed irritated that he had to talk to customers?). I told him that the steering wheel was slightly crooked after getting an alignment and he said in a condescending tone "does it bother you?" So I said not really, but I was more concerned that the alignment was done incorrectly since typically you bring in your car for alignment when your steering wheel is crooked. He told me that it was done properly and that it's not a big deal, and if I wanted them to fix it, I had to schedule another appointment on a later date. I should not have to schedule another appointment for their mistake. This was my first time going to this Firestone, and it was my last. read more

I wish I could give this place no star but I had to in order to send a review. I went online because I really needed tires. I made an appointment for 5pm. I didn't know it was a request because no one called me. I called the shop 4 times just to make sure my tires where in stock. The phone service is as bad the 4 times I called I was placed on hold so long I had to hang up and call back. Finally I got a hold of someone and no service at all my 5pm appt was not even an appt. I explained that I needed to change my tires today but no accommodations at all. The only reason for me going there was because the credit card. I came in a few weeks ago complaining about my screeching brakes. My car was looked at and I was advised that the front brakes needed to be replaced for nearly 600 dollars. I came back on Monday to get the FRONT brakes replaced along with brake fluid. Immediately as I drive away after the service, my car continues to screech down the road. I turned around and came back saying the problem was not fixed. The BACK brakes were the ones that were screeching and needed to be replaced and there was nothing they could do because they replaced the front ones. I am a young person with not much experience about cars so how am I supposed to know if itʻs the front or the back brakes that are the issue? I am so disappointed in the service I got from this location. They gave me the wrong advice about which brakes needed to be replaced and were perfectly fine with not solving the issue as long as they got my 600 bucks. I even called back the day after to tell them my car was still screeching and the associate on the phone knew the back ones were the issue and did not say anything to me or advise me that those are the ones that need to be replaced. All he could offer was 10% off the back brakes and it would still cost another 500 dollars. Never come here for service done on your car. They will rip you off and not solve your problem!!!!! This Firestone location is located right by the Dillingham Mcdonalds. I've always lived in Kalihi and this particular Auto Care place has been a go to location for my family over the years as we use to live in walking distance. My family has always been the one to take care of our family cars but I would remember coming here with them to do the auto care. We use to just leave it here for a few hours as we would get lunch in the area. For the first time ever, I needed to change the tires on my own as I got a flat on my drive as me and my mom alternate cars during the week. I'm in complete panic mode as I got a flat right by Costco tire installation, like what are the odds of that happening. So I had my boyfriend come and change my tire with my spare as I head on over to Costco's tire installation desk to see if they could help. It was too late for them to help me and they said they may not have my tire in stock the next day as I would have to call them back the next morning to see if they would have it and if there were any available spot to change it. They quoted me on two tires since that's their policy to change two tires. I felt I needed to get my tires changed immediately because I was too afraid to drive out to Waikiki on a spare. My mom then told me to call Firestone since we've been long time customers with them to see how much they would charge for 2 tires in comparison to Costco's one. Unfortunately they were already closed by the time I would have called them. I then remember I met a girl, Lianne last year who worked there and and she gave a business card that she works there and told me if I needed any assistance with my car, give her a call. So I did and she explained to me what information I needed and her manager can track down the tires to see if there were any in stock. She was so helpful and made me feel confident in the services they would provide for me. The next morning, I arrived to Firestone at 7am, right at opening, as advised by Lianne since she was off that day. I met with her manager, Jessica and she already had all the information she needed that was given by Lianne and also had my mom's information in the system based on the car license plates that she took when she moved my car to the garage that it'll be worked on. I felt like I was in there less than 15 minutes to get all the proper information needed and left my car there as I headed to work. So thankful Lianne made the effort out of her own time to inform her manager that I was arriving which the manager made my visit quick and easy for me. It's such a convenience for me to be able to leave my car there and come back after work. I was still able to make it to work on time and not lose any work hours. The mechanic who was working on my car, Wryleigh called me while at work and informed me about the 3 different things that needed to be flushed out which was the coolant, brake fluid and fuel. He gave me a break down of the amount it'll cost for each job and recommended which one would be the most important to do if I needed to hold off on one or the other. I told him I'd call him back to consult with my mom first. We decided to hold off on it and just do the tires for now. Btw, it's recommended to change 2 tires instead of one so they both ware out the same time. I'm glad they was wasn't pushy about me doing it and I felt that they were considerate about my decision about not doing it at that time. So it made me feel comfortable that they would inform me about anything regarding my car before proceeding with any changes. I went to pick up my car and the payment was way less than I was quoted earlier that morning and because I had a roadside vehicle warranty on my car it helped lowered the cost and with the help of Lianne's assistance it'll helped me a whole lot with my ending cost. The receipt also gives a reminder break down of what needed to be done as a recommended job for the car. I also got a free rotation and alignment check during this visit. It's also a plus when they check your overall car during that visit to tell you what else needs to be maintained for the car. We had a rental car with a flat tire and we're told to go to this Firestone to have the tire fixed. Upon getting there the manager had no word from enterprise. Flo was the manager on duty. He helped us change the tire to the spare made sure that it was properly mounted and filled with air. Even though the store was busy the manager still took his personal time to help me ahead my four children change the tire no charge. To pass my safety inspection, I needed to replace my front two tires. Costco was not able to fix them and sent me to firestone. When I went there with my brother, there was a nice woman who had helped us get set up and told me they had to order the tires so they would call me back for an appointment. She was lovely! Fast forward. I dropped off my car by myself and went on my day. I was quoted at $350 for the two tires. I received about 3 calls total from them. Each call was a call to let me know what was "wrong" with my car. They had called first about alignment being off. I agreed and they upsold me on the lifetime alignment deal. This is another $200. Another time they called, they had let me know that they tested my car battery and that it was not performing to their standard and let me know it would be an extra charge of $200 to replace the battery. Going in for two tires and trying to get me to spend $750 was INSANE. I declined the battery. I do not know why they even did a battery check. They did not ask me if I wanted one, they just did it. Free battery checks for your car are scams. My car was performing as well as it did when i got it on 4/20/18. Fast forward again. Just a couple days later, my car doesn't start!!! These people are definitely going to try to upsell you on everything. If you go here, let them know you don't want anything else checked on your car!!! If not for the lifetime alignment, I would never come back here. Extremely disgusting as we are all struggling during covid times! In January 2013, I initially went for an $19 oil change and casually mentioned that I heard a squeaking noise when applying the breaks. They recommended a brake checkup and I agreed. When they checked it they said I needed to change both front brakes soon as it measured 2mm on both. The two back brakes were not as bad and those could wait. I was quoted over $1000+ to change them all. An alternative offered was to "clean" them and the rotors to get rid of the noise. I was quoted $300 by their manager. Needless to say I didn't have the $1000+ to change them all so I went the $300 route til I could save the money. A few months later I found a reputable shop recommended by a friend to fix my brakes. After inspection they found that all my brakes were practically brand new!! They asked who told me that I needed new brakes as there was nothing wrong. All I ended up spending there was $20 to fix a bulb that was out. Needless to say I was lied to by Firestone about needing new brakes and they tried to rip me off over $1000+ for brake services that I didn't need!!! Shame on you Firestone as who knows how many others you have done this to!! If I could give Firestone ZERO stars I would. read more

IDK I am thoroughly impressed by the service here. After being treated so horribly at Lex Brodie's I came here to get two tires replaced after making a telephone appointment. They didn't have the tires in stock so I was told to come in at the scheduled appointment a few days later. Two new back tires. Impressive price, impressive service, so I opted to go back for two more new tires in the front. Loved that I was able to get the same price. Under $400 for four new tires? Great. Now I will have to see how it holds up. At the current time, they have a special, buy one listed service, get another 50% off. Wheels aligned and brake fluid flushed and I am now raring to go. If you're looking for coffee and frills, you won't find it within the location but there's a McDonalds and the Pancake House if you're hungry and need to pass the time. What you will find is great service at a reasonable price and for me, that is worth the effort to sit down and get corns on your butt if need be!
