My son drives a Honda Civic, and was looking to replace two tires, and get an oil change. I told him to go to fire stone, the one in Fort Lauderdale. I thought he knew which one I was referring to. He called me at work and told me that they was charging him close to $900. Comes to find out he went to the one on West Commercial. Let's start by asking for honesty. My son's car needed 2 front tires and an alignment. The sales person at the desk looked at the tires and said all 4 needed to be replaced - an absolute lie! The rear tires have minimal wear based on their age. Then he quotes me $1,150 for the work and starts hard selling me their credit card. I told that I was taking my business elsewhere and went to Tires Plus and got only what was needed for just north of $300. Most people don't know alot about cars and get frustrated with themselves during the process of trying to fix their cars or simply get maintenance. Most of the negative reviews I've read so far seem to be by people who are impatient and don't know much about cars. Not all Firestones are the same. Horrible customer service, like they are doing you a favor by taking time to wait on you. Poor attitude, near better management and training. Had an oil change and other work, later that day the check oil light came on. Guess what, no oil in the engine. I could have burned the engine. Dropped off my car at 7:00am right when they opened, they said it would take max 5 hours for a basic oil change and tire rotation, I called back 8 hours later to check the status and they said it was going to be two more hours then I called back and they said it was going to be 45 min more. I go in once they say it's ready and there is no one in the store to give me the keys or do my checkout. I had to find someone working on the cars and ask multiple times if someone was going to come in and help me. I can understand if they are busy but why not be honest from the get go? Poor doesn't cover it. This shop let me leave with unsafe, unbalanced, unaligned tires. NO explanation of services needed on car, just "Where do you want your receipt, email?" And that's a KEY folks! They DON'T show you what they did. They WANT you to come back with bigger problems. I returned with my bad tires and left with NO headlight!! They 'somehow" disconnected it. Mysteriously, fuses were also missing. Ironic, no? This was all found by ANOTHER Firestone shop! Rude doesn't cover it, either. When I asked why I was released with NO washer fluids and more than HALF down in the radiator I was told "What do you want ME to do about it? That's part of your normal maintenance. I can show you MY car where the levels are not always top." Isn't that a selling point with Firestone - their SAFETY CHECK?????????????? Watching his face get red was the turning point. This person should NOT be in managerial position!!! He KNEW he provided poor and inferior service. DO NOT go to this shop. Period. I went for new tires. tires on my Toyota were decent. However, they were mixed. one TMPS was bad. I asked for a price on 4 new tires. I agreed to what thy had offered, I was told they would check the alignmenand if it needed they would charge another $119 or so. I said fine, check the sensor as well and I have a relatively new Bridgestone tire I would like to keep as a spare. When they told me it was completed, I look to the spare it was not placed on the tail gate. they left it in the back seat!! Then I noted the sensor was still flashing! I walked back in to ask why what I requested was not done. they responded it was any charge. which i was ok with. However, they looked at me like I was from outer space. I left my car and told them to remove the tires. I was more happy with the level of service and their lack of trying to correct it. I had a crank shaft sensor replaced on or about 10/22 and it needed to be replaced 3 days after the yearly warranty expired. Had it replace I 11/23 and 3 months later it had to be replaced again. It was replaced with the original part this time , so I was told. It had to be replaced again 1 month later and again a week later same issue. This time I was assured it was the original part but same issue. Took the car to the Honda dealer and found out it was an after market part. What a bunch of lying thieves. Never use this place again please. Unless you want headaches. read more

I called a week ago and asked if someone was available now to do an oil change. RUSHED over for them to then tell me they only have one tech. Was there not only one tech when I called 10 mins ago?! fast forward a week later - "hey, do you have availability NOW or soon to mount 2 tires I already bought?" Art proceeds to say "yea come on over!". I get there and he finishes helping a young lady before me and then helps the lady behind me as if Im not standing in front of him waiting....... for him to then tell me an hour and a half wait to mount my tires. Went in around 10:30 this morning to drop my Jeep off to get my rear brake pads replaced, figured I may need new rotors as well. I saw they had a free brake inspection and a coupon online, which was helpful because I knew this could get pricey. Got a call a few hours later with a quote of $470, not thrilled but hey, can't drive around with sh** brakes. They tell me they'll call me right back with a final price before starting the job. Guy gets on the phone and says, yeah you're gonna need this and that and blah blah blah, you're lookin' at $983. Naturally I'm not thrilled and he comes back and says, well hey we can skip the brake fluid flush, which will save you $80. PASS. I go in and speak with Wayne, who was courteous when I first dropped it off, maybe he was pissed I didn't bite when he tried to rip my head off on the brake replacement. Wayne tells me it'll be $10 bucks for the inspection, I don't say anything and make a big deal about the fact that it should've been free because it's only $10 bucks and they did pull it apart. I go to insert my card and I get some weird card read error and I say, "that's weird, card didn't read". Wayne tells me, "maybe you don't have any money on it". I was pissed because that's a pretty rude f****** thing to say to a customer. After I insert the same card again a few times to pay, it finally reads and Wayne says "okay well let us know if you want us to take care of the brakes for you". Yeah I don't think so buddy, went literally right across the street to Pep Boys and paid $387 for the same exact service. Shout out to Pep Boys, Firestone can eat a d***. read more

This Particular location doesn't seem as badd as some of the reviews to me at least. I was able to set an appointment via their online website and also had the opportunity to download certain coupons such as an oil change and a car care check. The particular discounts were provided on spot. I also had a promo for free battery check which let me know the current life and status of my car battery which I thought was awesome. What's that for Friday evening at 4:00 p.m. I got there a little early and was set to go as soon as the next Bay opened. The staff inside seems very knowledgeable and very helpful to me. The time frames definitely do vary depending on staff coverage and also jobs. My weight with an appointment was a little over hours and change but I only received an oil change nothing major. Just like all other places I was recommended improvements or options for my car. Of course the price super high but in ordinary business fashion these suggestions are always made every place you go. You can say yes or no and not feel overwhelmed or pressured to decide right there on the spot. I would like to try this place again. I would recommend if going to see if any of the online discounts or coupons available can help you or apply to anything you're in need of. read more

If you talk about low, this was the lowest service I've ever received from Firestone. The blame lies solely on the shoulders of the Service manager David. He was horrible, disrespectful, and very condescending. As a customer manager myself, I was horrified by my treatment. If this is his standard of service be ready to lose many loyal customers. This whole event was egregious. I brought my vehicle in for a tire rotation and to check the tire pressure on my right rear tire. I was told by sales agent Lois that the wait time would be lengthy so I dropped off my car (1st mistake). I continued with my day and within 4 hours I heard NOTHING from Firestone. It's on my route home and I realize my car has a jack underneath it. How is this the case when I requested a tire rotation. So I decide to go and check on the status with my dad. My father asked Lois about the status of tire rotation. He had no clue as to what was going on. Asked another coworker about the status (Javin). No work had even been started. They couldn't find the wheel lock to my car I was told. My first question was "why didn't anyone call me to ask?" I then remember my previous visit I had brought my car a couple months prior for them to change my oil and check the same tire. I was told by Lois that day my tire was ok and nothing was wrong with it. I went about my business and took their word (2nd mistake). I noticed whoever serviced my vehicle but the wheel lock in the passenger's seat. I put it back to where I always have it in the trunk. Now back to the current visit. I reminded them that they were the ones that serviced my vehicle and had the wheel lock prior. Everyone looked at me like they didn't know what was going on. The previous service they just put my car in the air and checked the tire pressure. We asked for the manager David, who has the WORST customer service ever. He spoke very condescending, I felt as though the whole situation was my fault. No work was done to my car because they couldn't find the wheel lock. He advised it was MY JOB to check and make sure my wheel locks were there during the previous visit. Mind you I have never had to do that at my previous Orlando locations. I know things happen and it could've been misplaced or never returned from the previous mechanic that serviced my car. I would never come to this location again due to the way I was treated. All I wanted was a sincere apology or concern due to the lack of service they provided. Please give a lot of thought to choosing this location in Lauderhill off of Commercial. read more

They snuck a service contract on the tires I purchased. They didn't tell me about it and I noticed it when I got home. They also said they did an alignment but had no report from the alignment machine. They did refund the money when I when back, but I feel that it's dishonest and an underhanded. read more

I happened to be driving by when my tire pressure went to flat i went into the tire place a mile ahead of firestone they put air and didnt check anything i left and not even a mile after it went flat again i seen firestone went in and Jaun RUiz who was very busy checked everything and squeezed me in i was very pleased and happy since i live far away from this location. As a young, African American female, I attended this location as I've been doing for years on my own to get my car serviced because it is conveniently located near my home. Should I ever return to this location, I will be doing so with my boyfriend to avoid receiving this horrid treatment I received my last visit in January. Apparently there is a new manager who I've never seen before who decided it was okay to attempt to snatch my keys from me when I asked for a payment arrangement because I did not wish to pay the full, overpriced amount for 3 new tires (over $500) in one setting. After the scuffle - literally, I asked if the cameras worked because I was going to report him; I believe his name was Jose, if not, he's the current manager. He proceeded to tell me that the cameras don't work and I have no witnesses and, even attempted to call the cops on me after HE assaulted ME. Apart of my keychain actually broke off, that's how aggressive the struggle to get my keys from him were. After being triggered, I simply paid the full amount and left. Never in my life have I been so disrespected and I'm not sure WHY he assumed I wanted to leave without paying. Ridiculous. Go to another location if you can. Every time they go in my trunk, they leave it in a worse condition by not putting the supplies back as they found it. HORRIBLE LOCATION. In short, I was at my wit's end over an unfortunate run-in with a screw in my tire. I had searched many places in the area -most closed at 5pm- when I finally found this Firestone. Not only were they open later ( until 7pm) but Charles was very pleasant and helpful, and the tires were not ridiculously overpriced compared to the other shops I called. I dropped off my car at 2pm to get an oil change and tire rotation/balance. There was one person in the lobby waiting and one other vehicle in the parking lot when I dropped it off. At 6pm I returned to find the parking lot with half a dozen or so vehicles in it and a different person in the lobby waiting. MY CAR HAD NOT BEEN SERVICED AFTER 4 HOURS. Nor had I received a call letting me know that they couldn't get to it. There was an hour left until closing! I stopped by this business because the low tire pressure light came on. i was told by a very rude employee that i have to know what tire was low. How could i know that? After they took my car in i was told that to patch the tire would be $30 . I was told thats what they charge!!!.I ask if they could rotate the tires. That charge was $5 per tire. So, last year I took my Jeep Cherokee to Firestone on Commercial Blvd for service. They told me I needed a brake job, pads, rotors, the works. Since I work in Miami I figured I would go ahead and do the work to the tune of $1000 bucks. a few weeks later my car is shaking so I bring it back to Firestone and they told me they resurfaced the rotors. Well, here it is a year later and my wheel is shaking again. So I decide to take it to my "honest" mechanic in Hollywood to let him check my brakes. I needed new rotors "again" just a year later after a thousand dollar job from Firestone. I will never step foot into another Firestone. They are the biggest ripoff and do terrible work. My father had a flat tire on his sidewall on a Sunday morning. I spent about an hour calling about 18 different shops looking for his tire knowing that we weren't going to get a repair. This location was the only location which told me that they had the tire. We show up and unfortunately, the tire was the incorrect one. We were helped by Lincoln who called around and found the tire at another shop. We left the car and when we returned an hour to closing, the tire Lincoln had been sent by a sister store was the incorrect tire. It was the same tire in a different trim (black lettering instead of raised white lettering). The reason I am leaving a 5-star review instead of a lower rating is because Lincoln bent over backwards to remedy this situation for us. We were ultimately given the correct tire and it was installed the following day. Lincoln earned this location a customer and his service exceeded any expectation we could've had. read more

I guess he was trying to turn a $20 patch job into me buying 4 tires. The tires only have 12,000 miles they have been rotated and maintained. This is the second time I've gone to this Firestone. They put in the first two new tires in less than an hour and the guy at the counter was very nice. And then this time - I had pre-scheduled an 8a.m. appointment and got there before 8 a.m. Around 9 a.m. I saw them pull in a car that go there just before 9 a.m. and so I asked the lady at the counter why. She said they shouldn't have done that so my car was next. They pulled my car in, popped the hood, and two mechanics were looking around my engine. I asked the lady at the counter why the hood was up for two two tires in the back. They called the mechanic in and he said he was checking for brake fluid - which was on the driver's side, not the passenger side, of the car, and it was NOT the tires. They finally shut the hood and I got my car back with two new rear tires by 10 a.m. It's a long wait there on a Saturday, but it's still a good place to go. read more

I went in to their store 9/3/15 in the early evening. My tire has a slow leak. The person at the desk looked at the tire and saw that there was a nail. He proceeded to tell me I needed a whole new tire because it was on the tread but on the "shoulder." I knew something about tires and knew that it is when it is on the wall that it cannot be repaired, not in the tread area. It did not sound right so I left and went this afternoon, 9/5/15 to Valero on Oakland Park Blvd in Florida. They looked at it, fixed it with a plug and charged me $10.00. No questions asked.
