The service worker was kind and professional and even confirmed that the nail in my tire could be fixed, so there was absolutely no excuse for what happened next. The manager came out extremely rude, aggressive, and openly CURSED at me -- IN FRONT OF MY CHILDREN. He refused to serve me after I had already been waiting, spoke to me in a belittling, demeaning tone, and acted completely out of control. This wasn't just unprofessional -- it was disrespectful and unacceptable behavior from someone in charge. As a woman and a mother, being spoken to that way was humiliating. No customer deserves to be cursed at, talked down to, or treated like garbage -- especially in a place of business and especially in front of their kids. His behavior was hostile, childish, and embarrassing for the company. The contrast between the polite employee and the nasty, irate manager was shocking. Went Tire choice to have air put in my tires. I got out of my car and went home not the service desk. I was told to pull my car around to the side in front of one of the open bays. I did. I sat there for 20 minutes. David , the guy who told me to pull around to the side was walking around in the garage. He even look right at me sitting in my running car when he went back into the office . One of the workers walked within 2 feet of the front of my car to fill a container. Didn't offer to stop to see if I needed anything sitting there in my running car. After 20 minutes, I left and called to tell them about there poor service. I spoke with David. He said he forgot. Tire Choice is by far the best place I've ever gotten my car taken care of. Tony is always great about making sure that I am fully taken care of and explaining everything to me. All of the employees at that location have always been amazing with taking care of my car. I googled everything and every time I search the price for the repair that I get on my vehicle, they always have the lowest to average prices. I've never been overcharged for anything, and they go out of their way to take care of me. I've probably been going there for around two years now and I'm actually bummed. Prior to calling to get pricing for a new tire, I researched the tire price at various locations. The price for the tire was $200.00..ish. Not exceeding $225.00 at any store/site. When I called for pricing they told me over $300.00 for the same tire. When questioned about the price and explaining the tire shouldn't be more than $225.00. Thank God they have the new manager Sean. I went in a week ago for a synthetic oil change which is about $80 but comes with a full car check including a battery check. I personally asked if my battery was good when tested and I was told yes with an exact number. One week later my car doesn't start at all. I check under the hood and the battery is completely eroded. So much green crust around. Very evident that no one looked at it and tested it. I cleaned it myself and went back and they tested it and I needed a new battery - to no surprise. Pretty annoying and obvious the workers were lazy BUT the manager completely understood and was empathetic and said he would take care of me. And he sure did. He's new to the shop but I can see he's already making a difference. Car places try and get women but I'm no dummy. They messed up but I appreciate that they tried to recover. read more

I had a warranty on my tires, and was told by the manufacturer that I could go to this tires choice to change my tires and apply the warranty. I even called here the day before going and asked to make sure, and I was told that it was fine. However, when I got here, it was a different story. A machista latino man with short hair and glasses attended me, and in a very nasty way, asked me why I was there and also said they do not carry the tire brand I had a warranty from. The way he spoke to me was belittling. On one occasion, when I was asking a question, he said in a very nasty tone , "let me finish." Its not like I was arguing with him. He treated the man who he was cashing out much nicer, calling him "Papo", but apparently me, a woman, does not get the same treatment. This guy is the epitomy of machista and bad customer service. I brought my van there because I had some fluid in my driveway under the vehicle. Not a lot. But after driving and parking I would see a small leak. They diagnosed a fan issue. No overheating mind you. Then they rediagnose and determined that it needed a water pump and a thermostat $1500. Ok. Had it done. Picked it up. Two hours later I am stuck in a gas station with the same leak only worse. Still no overheating but steam coming from the overflow. Had to add two gallons of anti freeze. Called them. They said to "limp it back" to them. They diagnose note with a pin hole in a hose connection. Ok. Fix that. Then after calling for three days with no answers. I finally call and get told that there is a fan issue. Another $500. Mind you this is over a 6 day period where they could not get parts or even answer the phone. When they answer I get put on hold for 20/30 mins. I have been going here for about 1 and a half years. All of my vehicles serviced here. They changed the manager and the service writers not long ago. I think they must be on commission. I feel scammed, lied to, and conned. I am about $2800 dollars into this so far for what I feel was just the fan issue. This is a 4 year old vehicle. I also had them look at another of my vehicles before all of this and they quoted $4500 for a repair that I just had quoted at about $2000. I would not have them work on my vehicles if they broke down in their parking lot. Do not use this place at all. read more

Onto the next day, showed up and they said they'd start on it, was that only because we just showed up? I know it DOES NOT take two days to put two tires on. Oh and they mentioned she needed breaks. So I went to the tire choice because I had a flat tire(back right tire, or passenger side) and noticed they had an ad that said they "patch tires for free" I dropped my car off to them at 9:45, and waited 3 hours for them to basically say "we cant fix it, you need a new tire." I took it 2 minutes up the street to OCELLOS AUTOMOTIVE and they patched my tire and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They charged me $10. So when it comes to this place, they either lack the knowledge to notice a big screw in my tire, or they were just trying to rip me off. Either way STAY AWAY FROM HERE. WILL LIE TO YOU read more

Disclaimer: This review is limited in scope but captures a very brief business transaction that benefitted both parties involved. I have a spare tire underneath my pickup truck that could not be removed by using the spare tire winch (broken). I finally was able to wrangle the tire loose and remove it myself. The spare tire had obviously been under the vehicle for 10+ years, was flat and dry rotted. I began my search for an auto service center that could put a replacement tire onto the spare rim without waiting. After several failed attempts at various service centers around the Tamarac area, I found Tire Choice. I walked up to the counter, explained that I just need a tire mounted and asked how long the wait would be. I was immediately sent to the side of the building where they demounted & discarded the old tire and mounted the replacement tire with a new valve stem. The entire transaction took less than 15 minutes. So I left with a piece of mind (safe/usable spare tire) and a big smile on my face. I was so hopeful I found a great place, nice guys, open on sat but boy was I wrong. I had a timing belt put in and drove out of the parking lot to the street then had to go right back less than 2 min later because my car was shaking and the check engine light was on. Had an alternator replaced by them, then days after that my car started to shut off when stopping at lights. I did some research and narrowed it down to the crank shaft sensor . Then the run around started. I asked them to order the part, they said they were having trouble locating it. Then 4 days later I called to ask if the part came in, they told me there were 2 possible parts and did I know which part it was? Wow., how could you tell me you are having trouble getting the part when you asked me days later what part it was. They tried to convince me that it was my mistake. Recently went to another company for maintenance of my car's timing belt. They put my car on a lift causing the struts to lock. Let me drive off with a damaged car without saying a thing. That night there was a puddle of fluid under my front wheels. Next day when I called the Service Mgr. he said bring it in for a check. At that time the mechanic tried to tell me it was coolant. (It was clear and oily, not green coolant.) Then said they locked my struts and it was not their fault. The mechanic said this was the 5th one he recently had. Also he claims he noted it on my invoice. (No he did not.) The Service Mgr. said it around another $1,500 to repair after I just spent $800 for the timing. After complaining that they let me drive off with a damaged car only then did he decide to reduce the price to $1,100 and tell me he did not have all the parts in stock!!!!! I drove home and next day went to my local Tire Choice. The Manager AJ King 1st time quote was hundreds less. The repairs took much less time than Pep Boys. AJ also showed me the damaged parts and made me check the car before driving it home. Not a money grabbing car repair business. This is how it should be done! Thank You AJ King. read more

I bought 2 tires at this location about a month ago, even though I had to argue quite strongly with the man at the counter to honor the price quote I had printed out from the Tire Choice website and had verbally confirmed with him when I called to check on the specific tires availability. He then gave me an estimate of about an hour to have the tires put on. When I returned over an hour later they had not even started the job. I can tolerate a wait time, but do not lie to me! I returned today as I got a nail in a tire. This time the same counter man told me it would be abut 20 minutes. I returned over a half hour later and again, the car had not been touched. He lies. I took my car back and will purchase tires elsewhere. The mechanic, Tony, was wonderful though. I hope he finds a more honest location to work for. read more

Had a tire that was out of round and explained to the staff it was out of round, I could feel the steering wheel vibration when driving on the highway. They insisted it was a balance and alignment issue. After they did the balancing and alignment, there was zero improvement in the car and it actually felt 10x worse. Checked the tire pressure and it was 40 PSI, the car is placarded for 32 PSI front and rear. Contacted the place and explained to them that there was no improvement and the pressure was way over the correct tire pressure for this model. The guy I spoke to said many cars have tire pressure of 40 PSI and almost insisted that was perfectly fine. The car was so unstable it was scary to drive it back on the highway, it felt almost dangerous to drive. All cars have their tire pressure posted in the door jamb or in the center console. That tire pressure is what the car is designed and stability tested at . Raising or lowering that pressure can cause dangerous stability issues resulting in a roll over or crash. Based on my experience, I am unable to recommend this store for any reason. read more

I Do Not recommend this place, it was a complete rip off, they replaced the wrong parts on my vehicle and attempted to charge me above and beyond initial estimate. When i came to pick up my vehicle after work was so called finished and i paid, my check engine light was still on. I was told to come back the next day so they could hammer out a coil " Mechanics words". So i drove out of the tire choice lot with my car in worse condition than before with my infant son in the car only to stall out a few blocks down the street. Shop is closed now and im stuck. Next day i bring my car back to the tire choice, like they asked me to do so they can fix issue they were supposed to fix before. NOTHING WAS DONE. I called customer service at tire choice corporate, no help and extremely difficult to deal with, even after i provided all info/documents/receipts they needed. So i recommend any other reputable mechanic over this headache. Im stuck battling with my credit card company now. If you care about yourself or your family's safety do not go here.
