WARNING This is a WARNING to not use their services if you want honesty and competence. I am talking about Tire Choice located at McNab and University in Tamarac. I was nearby with a leaky tire so went for a simple repair for a punctured tire. I left my car while I went to my fitness center nearby. When I returned a little while later, they said my tire had a gouge out of it and could not be repaired. They said the gouge is on the inside meaning the side that faces underneath the car. "You must have hit something." Being the only driver of my vehicle, I knew that wasn't the case. I asked them to put on my spare so I could take it to the place where I had purchased the tires. On arriving to the other shop and upon inspection of the tire it was apparent that the gouge was under the rim and caused by their tools to remove the tire from the rim for repair. Now, this is a basic function of a tire shop and something they shoud be able to perform with ease. Pierre, the manager was not honest about what had happened so I contacted Monroe tires, their Corporate office. They reviewed the case and ultimately said, "You can't PROVE we did it so we are not going to compensate you." It's easy to see in photos (attached) that the gouge was under the rim, new and not caused by road debris as they claimed. Road debris cannot get under the rim of an inflated tire. The thing is, this SAME thing happened to me about a year prior at this SAME shop and I believed them so now I am two tires in the hole because of their incompetence and dishonesty. If they can't perform this simple repair, I certainly wouldn't trust them with more serious issues read more

this was by far one of worst experiences I've ever had getting an oil change. I dropped my car off at 11 AM for an oil change, and also ask them to look at my windshield wipers because they weren't working correctly. At 4 PM I still got no phone call that my car was ready, so I called them. When they answered, they said oh yeah, your car is ready. it. I asked about my windshield wipers and the guy said let me talk to the mechanic. I'll call you back. Nobody called me back so I went there to get my car and figured I would just talk to them when I get there. When I show up my car was in the same spot as when I brought it for service. That's not usually the case. When I get into my car the seat is moved all the way up (I'm very short so they usually have to move the seat back) which I thought was very strange. Then I noticed the service sticker still said last year on it still. So they did not replace it. I also noticed that the "maintenance required" notification still popped up on my dashboard. So I suspected that they didn't even do the oil change. I have a dash cam in my car so I decided to check that. The camera showed that nobody got in my car from the time I dropped the car off from the time I picked it up. they insisted that they did the oil change, but all of the things I mentioned above clearly proves that they didn't. So they asked me if I wanted to do another oil change and come back the next day. So I did. They called me about 30 minutes later and said your oil change is done. This time on my camera it did show that someone got in the car, and they showed me a picture of the new oil filter. So to me, this says they didn't do the oil change the first time and didn't admit that they were wrong. I will never be coming back here again. read more

I absolutely hate going to any type of auto repair shop bc I always get ripped off. I went here for an alignment after I got my rear tire replaced bc I was driving and out of no where a curb came out and hit my tire. (Crazy, I know! Lol) Anyway, Pierre helped me and did a tire balance and didn't even charge me for the balance. My car is now driving so much smoother on the highway, without shaking all over the place. Fast forward to 2 weeks after this, I come out of Walmart with a screw in my tire. I called the shop and they said to bring it right over and thankfully the screw didn't puncture my tire and they were able to pull it out with pliers and sent me on my way. Honestly very disappointed, i came in with a concern about a noise coming from my rear tires and the engine light display. They get back to me with a myriad of problems, which at the time raised my concern because in the list of issues they were stating to me, none really addressed anything about a rear tire noise problem. We came in because our car was making a weird sound and the manager Jenner (?) was very helpful, he got on it right away and had the mechanics take a look at it. Good front desk staff, but horrible trouble shooting from the mechanics. Either they lied to me, and told me they looked into the issue (when they did not), or they really believed that was not the issue. Long story short, I paid for a service that did not fix the issue (not entirely sure why I went along with it). Then I went to another repair facility and they figured it out in a matter of minutes and fixed it promptly. This was just an overall poor experience. After bringing in my car for an oil change and power steering fluid leak on November 11th,I was called back with additional work they recommended. I had a leak in my power steering hose which I was told had compromised the boot of my ball joints. Total for all work was quoted at $1400. The total was very high and I asked if there was some work that could wait. I was told the ball joints could be worked on later but not to wait too long. Saved up the cash and called for appointment. Asked if the previous quote was still good.. Just under $600 and was told yes. My check engine light came on the day after Christmas and scheduled the work for the next day. My car would up being in the shop for 5 days, most notably because of a part which the wing piece and the piece had to be ordered from NJ. One discussion regarding more parts totaling about $218. Ok'd the work. Car was finally ready on New year's Eve and I was handed a bill for $1257.12!!!!!! Finally got in touch with corporate office. Offered me a price match something but again and again I told this corporate supervisor that it wasn't my fault the manager didn't get the quote right. I asked him what would've happened if I couldn't cover the bill??? No answer, just a raised eyebrow. Left there with$12. in my account. On our way from Ft. Myers Beach we had a serious tire issue on our 2003 Toyota Corolla. The drivers side rear tire completely disintegrated and we were forced to relatively limp home. Having done business with the store when it was a Goodyear location it was the first place that I headed The manager accepted us in a very professional manner. He came out of the building, inspected the damage, that was extensive and explained that the tire and the damage could have been extremely serious to our safety. He brought the car into one of the bays, gave a great price on four new tires which included removal of the old ones, balance and install the new ones in under 45 minutes. The Manager - I believe to be Calvin Smellie and the lead Tech F.Cellestin (with two other helpers) did an incredible job. They went above and beyond - repaired where both rear fenders had come away from the housing and cleaned of the black rubber marks on the rear quarter. This was all due to the tire casing shredding from the tire carcass. Additionally they repaired a small front spoiler that had also come away from the frame. All of this was included in the one very fair price. I will return to this location because these guys were very friendly and professional.And I will recommend this location to my friends.
