From the moment I got there Jazmen was attentive,, courteous and helped me correct wrong that the Pembroke Pines location did. And then I got to meet. Went for a standard quick oil change. My truck has been leaking every since. My driveway is all messed up and I have put in 2 more quarts of oil since. Finally saw the dripping of the oil under the vehicle. The filter was not twisted on. I had to turn several times before it was tight. We always go to Jiffy Lube for oil change while living in California. Moved to Florida couple years ago, this is the first time to this location. Good thing about this chain business. They have all the service records on my car in their system even I moved to different state! I was greeted right away when pulling up. I didn't wait long, only one car in front of me. Probably 20 minutes they were working on my car. Due to COVID, the driver can sit in the car while they are working on the car. No need to leave the car. I got to see their works. They suggested to change the gas pump filter and AC filter, provided the quote at the same time. I agreed to the service, told them I have the coupon - if you go on Jiffy Lube website, find the shop at the location you want to go to, it will show you if any coupon that location offers. The guy told me to save the coupon, he will give me a better discount. That's awesome! However when I get the bill after service was done, they charged me full price. Luckily I caught it, asked about the discount. They came back to me with a new number. But it was still a bit higher than the number we agreed on. Third time, they finally got it right. So, pay attention to what they told you about the price in the first place and look carefully on the bill they charge you when paying. read more

So while all the customers are waiting the crew walks away and goes and has breakfast. While customers are waiting inside. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews because I've had a great experience on my first visit. Not sure if they greatly improved in the last year since most of these reviews were placed or what. I just moved into the area and I love the drive thru oil change concept. I went to get an oil change and even though there was a bit of a wait, they were extremely communicative, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. Ridiculous pricing scheme. I paid for a full synthetic oils change on Groupon, which was $75. When I showed up they charged me an additional $50 for two quarts of oil and topping off of antifreeze. In that $50 was a $10 oil disposal fee and a $5 shop fee plus an additional miscellaneous fee. I had gotten a Mobil one oil change last time and it was $55 total out the door. I went in for an oil change and the second I pulled in, they immediately started trying to upsell me. I agreed to the system clean as the car had gone well past the recommended time for an oil change. Plus there was a coupon for 50% off oil change that I mentioned to two employees. As I waited for my car, they presented me with a 2-page list of things they recommended totaling over $2,000! I do believe that once they see a woman, they smell fresh meat. They showed filters that they claim needed to be replaced so I went with that and no more. It all came to $228 because they did not apply the coupon I mentioned to them. I had to insist, then they did, bringing it to $203. To add insult to injury, when I got my car back, a container I keep in my glove compartment was on the passenger seat. Why was it necessary to open my glove compartment to do an oil change? That was my first and last time to this, or any Jiffy Lube. I wouldn't trust anything they say to me. read more

Fun crew.. Great service! I usually change the oil myself but lately I haven't been in the mood to go under the car (Getting old.. lol). From the minute I pulled in I was greeted with respect and everyone there look they were having a good time. (including the customers) I actually brought my own oil and filter, witch probably saved me some money and they actually checked everything else in the car for me (Coolant, lights, brakes.. ). Dropped our vehicle off and said we will be back an hour from the gym nearby. They said that was fine. We filled out the form and we were on our way. The female employee was very friendly. When we came back, the vehicle was ready. We just signed some more forms and paid for the oil change. We had a Groupon so the deal was great. They called to let us know that the steering wheel fluid was dark and needed to be flushed but we decided against that. Getting in was pretty easy. Just drive to the back and they will tell you where to go. The lobby had a few chairs, bathroom, and a kuerig machine which the employee offered; that was really nice. The lobby did have a funky smell, like cat pee, not sure what that was about. In the end, we had a good experience and I would definitely return when I need a simple oil change. read more

I don't know why this location has 3 stars, I have been here once and will give it four stars. If I get the same treatment next time, it will go to five. I was on vacation and helped a family member by bringing their car in for service. Having used Jiffy Lube myself, I though this would be a good choice. It was! I came in with no appointment on a Monday and all bays were filled. When I drove in I was greeted by a young lady who reviewed their services with me. I picked what was as needed and went inside to wait enjoying cup of coffee from their Kurig. He quoted me a wait time of 30 minutes-- I waited about 10 minutes and they gave me a complete computerized diagnostics. Wipers were good so no need to change. Filters were not dirty enough to change. They just changed my oil and rotated tires. That came with a check of all fluids and window cleaning. After 30 minutes we were good to go. They were so courteous and even though recommendations were made, I never felt pushed to do any additional services that I didn't plan on. I will definitely use this location the next time I am here recommend this location to those who live here. The special moment is when they brought me my car and put down a red carpet. ATTENTION WOMEN!!!! This place will take advantage of you. I have a 2012 car and my last oil change costed me 80$ even with it not being changed for over 11,000 miles. I went in the other day after hearing great reviews and asked specifically for an oil change nothing else. The oil change alone costed a hundred and some change and they kept checking things out which i repeatedly told them not to do. I wanted an oil change nothing else. They saw a woman behind the wheel and immediately started giving me different than my boyfriend who used to go there. I was charged a total of 142$ for what i thought and asked for an oil change. Absolutely outrages prices. Next time i'll make sure i go and change it myself. read more

I have no idea why this location has 3 stars, but I definitely had a 5 star experience. I dropped in with no appointment on a random weekday and there were about 5 cars there when I pulled in. I got out and awkwardly looked around for a couple of minutes, but eventually found someone who helped me. Lance greeted me and led me to the waiting area after I stated that I was there for an oil change. He quoted me a wait time of 30 minutes-- I was a little surprised at this as there were 5 other cars there, so I expected it to be more like 45 minutes to an hour. I waited and lo and behold, 30 minutes later, my oil change was done. WOW, I don't think I've ever received in oil change in the time frame I was quoted, so big kudos just for that. More on the service: I actually called the place to get a quote before I came in, and there ended up being some miscommunication. After arriving and speaking with them, we realized that there was a misunderstanding and the guys were very patient and made sure that they took care of my car needs. I never felt taken advantage of, and though recommendations were made, I never felt pushed to do any additional services that I didn't want. Lance and Gary were great and polite. They were super courteous and made sure that they were considerate of my time, which I very much appreciated. I do not live near here and was just in the area doing errands, but I would drive out of the way to come back here. Honestly not surprised after reading the reviews. Went for an oil change left with 600$ worth of work done. Just bought my car used, so it was inevitable that I needed some work done. My only problem is that the woman who told me everything about my car kinda just threw it at me and didn't give me much time to process. Obviously confused, they tried to explain to me stuff but obviously I'm not the mechanic... Anyways it took 3 hours I paid a shit ton of money and I didn't even know what was going on half the time. I think price wise, they gave me the oil change for free and a 15% discount to lower the price. So that's not what I'm complaining about. It's the fact that they throw all this in your face and just wait for your yes because obviously you need it. I think as people, it would be better if they responded to customers with options and even a little bit of patience. Otherwise things were fine. Just make sure if they give you a piece of paper with a shit ton of things on it to read the time. Also if you're a women remember ... YOU. CAN. SAY. When I got there a Jiffy Lube employee directed me to the center bay. I thought - hey I got right in, I'll be out in no time. Well, if no time means over an hour, I'd be right! The employee escorted hubby and I to the waiting room. We both eventually got seats. Four to six people stood because all the chairs were taken. TRYING TO USE FEAR TO UPCHARGE THEIR CUSTOMERS: About a half hour later, a Jiffy Lube employee called me out to the work area. He showed me his computer screen that had a bar chart of fluids and months. He told me that my transmission and radiator fluids were past due to be changed. I asked him how he knew - how would he know if I had it done elsewhere? (I haven't gone to a Jiffy Lube in many years.) His eyes shot up at me and he said he wouldn't know. So it wasn't a change in viscosity of the fluids or a change in color, etc. It was his guess that the way he phrased his statement would be enough to make me fearful that the car would not run right unless I changed the fluids. Since the oil change includes topping off the fluids it wasn't that he wanted to make me think there wasn't enough but that I needed to replace it all. Interestingly, they had to add "Radiator Overflow Reservoir" to the invoice and typed "checked" . The "Transmission Fluid Level" says "OK" on the invoice. It didn't state anything about being bad (color, viscosity, etc.). My husband was with me and I think that if I were alone, he'd have pushed harder to scare me into getting the work done. Instead my husband muttered something about just doing the Groupon oil change. I told the guy that he should just fill the fluids and we'd be good. Another employee asked if it was ok if they used pink windshield wiper fluid to my blue windshield wiper fluid. They both said the composition of the fluid was the same. I said I didn't care, it was fine with me. I've never really seen the color of the fluid when it sprayed on my windshield so it's no biggie. Ironically, if they would have said I needed a filter I might have believed them because I rarely drive this car and it's been a long time since I changed the filter. But they didn't - and I saw them pull out the filter, which was white and pretty clean. We then waited about 20 minutes to be checked out. Hubby actually went into the work area to ask who checks us out and when they pointed to someone, hubby asked what was stopping him from checking us out! It was almost like punishment for not buying an upcharge. Eventually the manager came in and rang us up for the $1.22 in tax that the Groupon didn't cover. I don't want to go to any business that makes me think I have to be on my toes because they're trying to leverage fear to sell me products/services. It's evident that they have a lot of business - especially for a Sunday. They should just be "jiffy" in getting the cars in and out, and honest in assessing the cars' needs. That would help them to be even busier - and I bet have more repeat customers. I might buy another Jiffy Lube Groupon in the future but I wouldn't go to this location. And if I find that other Jiffy Lubes try to leverage fear to upsell, I will not return to any Jiffy Lube. read more

Before going to Jiffy Lube, I called my Kia dealership to ask what viscosity of oil they use, so there would be no mistake once I got to Jiffy Lube. Dealership told me a "synthetic blend". The Kia dealer charges $29.99 for oil and filter including labor, so I knew it wasn't the high-end pure synthetic quality. When I pulled into Jiffy Lube on University in Sunrise, FL, the first employee asked, "What type of oil?" I asked, "can you check and see what is in there now, I believe it is a synthetic-blend? He said, it is not possible to check. Employee # 2, asked: "What kind of oil?" I said: "I believe it is a synthetic blend, can you check?" Employee # 2 said, Not possible to determine. Employee # 3 asked: "What type of oil? He continued to say, "the dealer recommends you use only SYNTHETIC OIL on this car." Again I said, "It is easy to tell, can you just check?" Employee # 3 said, "No need to check, I'm sure it is synthetic." Fact: It is easy to determine whether it is standard oil or synthetic, they feel and look very differently. Merely touch the oil with your finger and you can tell. When a mechanic tells you they cannot, they aren't being honest, or they are poorly trained. While speaking with mechanic # 3 they had already started working on my car, the oil cap was off, fender guards were in place, and they had pulled up the VIN, noted the tag, and had started inputting details into their computer. I held my ground, because IT IS possible to look at the current oil and determine what type it is. I asked 2x how much is the oil change, and he said you pay at the end. I asked again - NO, before you do the work, HOW MUCH is the oil change? He came back with $139 for synthetic but you also need an air filter. I knew something wasn't on the up and up. I said, "NO, close it up, I'm leaving." Abraham Lincoln said, "you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time." They tried, but they failed. Of course they did NOT put the oil cap back on the engine as they were closing up the car. The service mgr was obviously annoyed as I didn't fall for their trap, and I believe, deliberately did not put my oil cap back on. As soon as I started the car up I could smell oil. I pulled out of the service bay, opened the hood and sure enough the oil cap was just resting on the engine, it had not been tighten down in place. I said, "Time to call corporate". Corporate said, "All Jiffy Lube's are franchises and privately owner, we can only pass this information on to the franchisee." Of course I took photos of the oil that had now splashed over my engine and splattered onto the hood's inside liner. Had I not discovered the missing oil cap, this could have become a huge problem. This might have cost me $3,500 for an entire new engine because of their actions. The sad part, I believe, is they did this deliberately because I wouldn't fall for their shady tactics. How many other unsuspecting customers have fallen prey to their deliberate sabotage. Corporate call center said the franchisee would call me back, of course that didn't happen. Let the buyer beware... caveat emptor, at least at Jiffy Lube. Now that this is posted all over social media, I'm sure the franchise owner will NOW call me in an effort to have me take this down. Customer service is number 1 in my book along with competent service and I have to say every time I go to this Jiffy Lube, I get both. I went to get my car's oil changed and mentioned that my mom's car was having issues and they told me they would fit me in same day so they could take a look. I did and Lance and Fabio took amazing care of both vehicles. Another fleet story. Went in for an oil change. The guy (without my asking check my brake pads). Without telling me he got "authorization to change them as he said they were dangerously low. Something did not seem right so I refused and left. I went to a trusted service place that has been servicing my vehicles for years. After they check twice, there was nothing wrong with my brake pads. "Not even bear being low" they said. Follow your instincts. And treat your company's $ like it is yours. read more
