Tire Pressure light was on so I drove to Firestone as quick as I could. Manager Michael told me he could have his guy look at it. He suspected it was a nail in one of the tires (much like I did) and I expected it might have to be replaced. His guy found the nail in a matter of a minute or two and I was told about the repair charges, which I agreed to. Very disappointing experience. We agreed on a price before Firestone repaired my car, but when I picked it up the next morning, I was charged a different amount. When I explained that it was not the price I had been given the day before, the employee responded with an attitude and simply said he did not know. Employees working at the same location should communicate clearly and honor the price quoted to the customer. Instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, he was extremely rude and told us to pay, take the car, and leave the building. The poor communication, unexpected price change, and disrespectful treatment were completely unacceptable. First issue - If you try to get an appointment from the site and it's confirmed and you show up there, they would have no clue about that. (This was my experience from few years back, not sure if it changed now) MAIN ISSUE - Couple of years back, I bought lifetime alignment. They performed the alignment, I get the report and then I started driving. The car handling was so poor, I had to call them right away and then checked again. They tell me oh yeah, it was bad and there was one time they left something close to left front wheel (under the car) loose. So, I could feel the small rattling while driving. I made an online appointment for 9am to install a set of tires I bought through tirerack and an alignment for my wife's tucson. I dropped it off so we can finish our errands assuming they'd have the car done in two hours at most. By 3pm her tucson was still sitting in the parking lot, untouched. Made an appointment a week ago to have my tranny fluid flushed today. Was told to drop it off yesterday and they would put it on the lift before close and the mechanic when he comes in would work on the car. Dropped it off early yesterday. At 3 pm (7 hours after opening) still have not heard a word so I called. Employee John came off rude saying they haven't worked on it yet. Now they're closed for the day and I still have no car. Very frustrating experience. I brought my truck in early morning on June 28th for a state inspection and oil change. They said it should take 1-2 hours and they would call me so I left the truck and took an uber home. At 2pm after 5 hours I called to see if it was ready and was told they just were waiting on the inspector to finish up and it would be ready soon and they would call me. At 430pm I called again and was told it was still not done and they would call me when done. Finally at 530pm they called me and said nothing had been done all day (9 hours with no car sitting around all day) and I had 30 minutes to get there before they close to get the truck or if I left it they could try to get it done the following Tuesday. So no work done, 2 ubers later and a lost day with no work done. Only response from Elijah the Service Specialist who said 'if it were me I would leave a bad review too'. read more

Failed to notify me of my cancelled appointment, failed to notify me of my rejection, then proceeded to tell me to come in the next day for a sticker as their machine was down. Oh yeah and I had to call and ask that as I noticed I didn't have a sticker? Yeah, they failed to notify me of that as well. You think then they wouldve notified me I failed? NOPE. If I could give NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD. Negative stars especially to the rude associate behind the counter at the Manchester, NH location on 11/19/21at 5:38 pm. I made an appointment online to buy snow tires and have them put on. I live in a rural area and had to drive an hour to this location. I also had to leave work early for this appointment. An appointment that was CONFIRMED with a reservation number by the way. I called before I left for the store and the phone just rang and rang. I figured they were just as busy putting on snow tires as the rest of the tire stores around here. And I felt lucky that I was able to actually get an appointment. II get to the store early. Walk in, give my name and state that I have an appointment. The man behind the counter tells me, "I stop taking appointments after 5:30 and I only have 1 tech after 5, so, "I can't help you even if I wanted to". I pull up my confirmation verification and show him. He smirks and then says, "those appointments are set by corporate in Tennessee and we don't see those appointments so I can't help you". He said it like this issue happens all the time. This was not a shock to this man. So why if this is a known problem, how does it keep happening??!??!?! I logically ask, "why is this location allowing corporate to set appointments for you if you don't see them or honor them?" His answer, "dunno". So then I ask (I know, why bother to ask any more logical and rational questions anymore at this point), "why exactly is the consumer not made aware that there is such a disconnect between corporate and a franchise location?" Again the reply is "dunno" this time I aslo get a shrug. He stated I could leave my vehicle overnight. I proceed to tell him I live an hour away. I got a blank stare, flat affect, and this time a shake of the head. He couldn't care less. Basically his attitude and responses say, " screw your gas, amd your time, because I don't give a flip about you, my job or anything in life really. 4 new studded snow tires installed for my SUV was quoted to me at close to a thousand dollars. This guy just let a grand walk out the door today. And assured that Firestone lost all my future business as well. This in addition to everyone I share this experience with. Firestone would have to offer to reimburse me for my gas and offer a whole set of snow tires for free with free installation to keep me as as customer. Fat chance of that happening. I've finally had enough with this place. I never leave reviews for anyone but I'm doing this as a service to the public! These guys LIE. They have no idea what they're doing. They don't honor any warranties or work they did previously. They don't call you to give you any updates about your car as it sits there for sometimes days, they don't even call to tell you it's finished. Several times now I've driven off the lot with the same problem or they didn't properly put everything back to together. The only reason I kept going back was because they had done the previous work and something would go wrong with it again. The last straw was when I had four new tires put on AGAIN because the last ones they put on didn't last long at all. They were within warranty and they came up with every excuse not to honor it. I drive off and later that day I had to pull off the highway because the front wheel almost came off! After spending $1000 I had to tighten all the lug nuts. These guys are not just shiesty, they are going to get someone killed! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. I've been to a place in Hooksett called Under the Hood. The extreme opposite experience. I could care less about Firestone's "warranty," I'll never go there again. Absolute clown show over there, you'd be better off watching YouTube videos. I'd like to sue them for fraud. read more

DON'T GO HERE! BEWARE of Andrew and Jay (front desk workers) and mechanics! I got 4 brand new tires, and they COMPLETELY trashed 2 of my new tires with a MISALIGNMENT. They very service I pay for them to fix, they did the OPPOSITE OF. They admitted that they contributed to this problem, but did NOTHING ABOUT IT. They literally just screwed me. They took my 2 brand new tires and threw them down the drain and said, "It's on you. You have to buy 2 tires again." Andrew is a crook! Jay said they were under new management, whatever that means. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GO HERE! I promise, I'm seriously trying to help people. Car problems are already hectic. You just want to get your car serviced and go on with your life. So I decided to go outside of the box and purchase some tires online which I had originally thought I was buying from Townfaire Tire but was redirected to Firestone because they had the tires I wanted. I was promptly greeted but the man up front had no knowledge of my online purchase and it was kind of a blur of him trying to figure out how that went. I sat for about an hour an a half before being called up, which is fine and standard I feel for a relatively busy shop. I was also there to get a state inspection done and new my car needed a little tlc as far as just some basic maintenance, new headlight bulb and brake pads for my rear I was thinking maybe possibly $300 for everything aside from the tires. They tried telling me this was going to cost over $1,000.00! for this! I am not a dummy I am aware how to change my own headlight and I will assume that because I am female and I drive a Cadillac I am probably dumb and have money to burn (no on both accounts) they tried to BS me and say I was to have my ENTIRE bumper removed to change my bulb.....which was going to cost $375. I had to hold in my laughter as I said no several times to his desperate attempt to bring the price down. That is insane and was a complete attempt to take advantage of me. I went to Advance Auto Parts and picked up a 9012 bulb for $29.99 and changed it in 20 minutes by removing the air box. As for whatever other ridiculous items were on that list to "pass inspection" I can't remember there was so many of them. My car only needs brake pads and doesn't need new rotors which was confirmed today. DO NOT go here, you will waste your money. Also side note I found several lost and broken clips near my airbox which was definitely done by these "professionals" because I looked at my car and the area to be worked on prior to bringing it in. I guess karma got them in the end though, and I'm not going to say why because I don't know if they check these. I got to Firestone in Manchester because they seem to be fair with price and service. I use the word "seem" because my own ignorance and lack of interest in cars is outstanding. I'm the kind of guy who doesn't know anything about cars, I never care to learn. I'll drive a POS till it dies on the road and I don't care about looks, comfort, safety or features. I can identify the wheels, gas tank and the color of a car- thats about it. With that in mind, Firestone seems fair. I'm skeptical of all auto shops because I hate putting any money in cars and my ignorance makes me an easy target to be taken advantage of. I shop on price only and often ignore many of the recommend repairs the shop says I need. Firestone has hit me with some stiff "service" fees in the past, but I've always had a good customer experience with them. They are down to earth, dress professionally and the front staff isn't covered in car grease with edibles from lunch still stained on their shirts. They also offer many deals on tires that I've taken advantage of in the past. If you're a car idiot like me, try Firestone. If you're the opposite and really care about your car, well- good for you. read more

I had called to ask for a tire rotation, alignment, and a check up for a funny noise. I get a call back telling me that the reason to the funny noise is because a part was so rusted that it had fallen on top of the engine causing the noise. They said that it didn't need to be replaced and I'll be okay to drive causing no damage. Then they proceed to tell me that my car battery was dying and that I'll need it replaced. All in all, I expected the worst. I finally get there and as I'm waiting for the receipt, he proceeds to tell me that I will need a new exhaust soon and that we can schedule it for the future when I'm ready. Before I walked in and handed my keys, I had marked each tire with different amount of tallies. My father had recommended me to mark each tire since he had a bad experience with Firestone (a different one). So after I paid for the service of a tire rotation, I checked my tires. Not one tire was rotated. All the tallies were where I marked them. I go back and tell them that I want my tires rotated and I know they didn't do it since I have the proof. He calls another tech and then proceeds to tell me it'll be 20 minutes. Not once did I get an apology. I felt like I was brushed off. I paid for a service, which I did not get, confronted them, and then they just told me it would take another 20 minutes like it was nothing. Even after I get the rotation, still no apology. I felt used. I drove home, and that damn funny noise still in my car PLUS ANOTHER STRANGE NOISE. I don't want to go back. I feel like I won't get anything I paid for. I have always had really bad luck with repair shops, especially when it comes to alignment and wheel balance until I discovered this particular Firestone. These guys always pay close attention to detail, perform the work you ask them to do and nothing extra, take great care to explain problems and go an extra step giving advice. If you can't ever get your wheels balanced right, I highly recommend this place. (It is actually better than the Nashua location where I had to come back several times to get balance right) read more

Had enough with Firestone Destination AT. Got about 4 k misery miles on them. Going in the back of my truck for winter weight until I can off load them. Well Yokohama s are now on the truck. While taking with the tire guy when dismounting tires he noticed that the Firestone service center balanced them incorrectly. Besides on the inside rim the new tires should have weight divided as per balance machine to include adhesive weights on the inside of the rim close to outside. Bottom line, never go back there again. It was a $ 1000.00 lesson for me. read more

I had tires replaced and front brakes done several months ago at the Manchester NH facility and during the courtesy check they removed my air filter and never put it back in. Two days later the car went into limp mode stranding my wife and two children on the highway. I had the car towed to a mechanic that eventually found that the air filter was missing. The diagnostics and labor with throttle body cleaning cost just under $300. Once I informed the Manager, Chris, what had transpired and sent him the bill he agreed to reimburse me. It has been two months of continuous calls and still no refund. He has promised a half dozen times to put in the refund and nothing has gone in yet. Every time I call he tells me it will be just another day. When I visited them on a day Chris said to come in, he slipped out to an appointment at the time he told me to come down. The manager is a weasel and the workers incompetent...AVOID! read more

Was in the market for winter tires and an alignment. I run super sticky tires in the summer and dedicated snows in the winter. I like to track my car in the summer on occasion and do all my own work on my car barring alignments and tire mount and balance. I was looking for a competent and quality shop. Upon stoping in, I was immediately given the sales pitch. I tried to explain my background and that I have had cars aligned throughout the years, some with string, which most pro racecar enthusiasts use, and was told that "we don't do what jose does at a local shop". The level of arrogance displayed immediately threw a red flag. Also was the fact that no guarantee would be made on anything but zero camber, meaning they can align but not care if they don't get it right and say "oh well we said no guarantees". This Firestone location charged me for replacing my vehicle's cabin air filter. The filter was never actually replaced. The old filter was placed back into the vehicle. They lied about it until I proved their dishonesty; I got the whole thing on video. I tried contacting the Firestone headquarters about the incident but they never followed up with me about my complaint. So, dishonesty at the bottom level and apathy at the top level. My oil light went on & they were able to do an oil change late on a Sunday afternoon. Not too long after leaving, my car experienced excess exhaust & people motioned for me to pull over. My hood was engulfed in white smoke & it smelled like burning rubber or oil. Long story short: The cap was not put back correctly. The Mgr at Firestone was very apologetic & refunded me the cost of my tow (to RI, no less), tip to tow truck driver and the topping off of oil. I have always done business with Firestone and will continue to do so. They are a class act! read more

Update: was contacted by claims through email, and eventually, after showing them the $340+ estimate they sent me a check for damages+rental costs and agreed to pay the difference for additional costs above the estimate if there happen to be any. A good save-face, but no direct apology from claims or direct acknowledgement of fault, and of course no apology from the shop. Really liked my lifetime alignment, but now I am expecting biased treatment from the manager, so what to do? read more

I can't say enough about this location. While on vacation in Myrtle Beach, my rack failed...I had it replaced at Firestone......4.5 months later it went again. I was back home in VT ...so this location on Elm St was the closest for me to travel to. Mike, was super friendly and understanding. He said bring it in and we will replace it...no questions asked. I will without a doubt always use Firestone for any major job in the future. Their nationwide warranty is worth it alone! The part is gaurented for life. No more mom and pop shops for me! The customer service went above and beyond my expectations. Had a tire go flat on the start of our NH vacation and located the nearest Firestone Center in Manchester, The staff (Marshall and Steve) were extremely helpful and the technician was thorough enough to notice a bubble on the sidewall of another tire, which in my opinion, averted a potentially serious blowout on the way home. Fortunately, most of the costs were absorbed by the road hazard protection. Thank you guys, for a job well done!! read more

They make a lot of mistakes on purpose. I brought my car in when my brake-lights weren't working because of wiring problems. Then I proceeded to sneak out to watch the guy work on my car. He took an hour to place a temporary fix on my car. A fix that stopped working the second the car was handed over to me. Then he claimed to have replaced a bulb that had didn't know had been melted (I already checked in myself) on to it's casing. I knew he couldn't have and the light wasn't turning on. After I went the supervisor he said he replaced it "again" which was a lie. If he really replaced it he would have known it was melted. This ordeal took 2.5 hours and then my check engine light came on shortly thereafter. Some of them have good customer service skills but these tech's are trained to skip on work and create opportunities for return customers. I also overheard some heated conversations about alignment and I will begin taking my car elsewhere. read more

Over the last year this repair shop has done terrible repair work. I use to be a regular customer but starting in January 2016 there has been one issue after another in their repair work. Over looking safety issues and allowing the van to pass inspection. Having to a tie rod done in January and having another mechanic in October saying it was broken which is understandable but when you make it a point of taking the car back to have them look at it and they tell you it's fine only to have them fail it in January which was only a few months later because it's was broken is unacceptable. I also had a radiator replaced by them and not even 24 hours the line to to transmission fluid came loose leaking all over the place because that line was accidentally loosened when they pulled the old radiator out. And to make matters worse, not even a year later the car was over heating so I took it to another shop and not only was the radiator leaking in one spot but two. First was improper connection on the bottom hose and the gasket around the thermostat. I will no longer have my car serviced there because I getting really tired that everything I have done there has to be done twice. read more

For the most part, I've been happy with my service here. They have pretty good prices and they always have coupons. One time they took longer than anticipated to finish a service, but they very apologetic and gave me a free oil change for my hassle. Unfortunately, there have been a couple of experiences that have turned me off. The first: they told me that one of my taillights was out when I brought the car in a for a routine oil change. I told them I would replace it myself when I got the car home... only to discover that when I picked it up all of the taillights worked just fine. So, either they magnanimously replaced the light for me for free without telling me, or they were BSing me. The second: I had taken the car in for a state inspection. They called me to tell me the cabin air filter needed to be replaced and they'd charge $65 to do it (bearing in mind that I can buy a cabin air filter retail for $25--so they were going to charge me $40 in labor to replace an air filter!). I told them I'd just do it myself. When I picked the car up, I noticed that there was a loud vibrating sound when I turned the climate control system on (this had NOT been present prior to my bringing the car into them). I called them back and spoke to Marshall. He was extremely unhelpful, simply telling me that the sound was likely the result of the dirty cabin air filter and that since I had planned on replacing it myself, I should just replace it and that would take care of the problem. The thing is, I had no intention of replacing the filter and no need to do so until they laid hands on my car. That left me with a very sour taste and looking for another garage for my routine car services. read more

The worst car store ever! I came to install 4 tires which are so expensive. On the same day of installment the break signal go on and I told them about it . They said it will go away. But it was still there for a month . This is very dangerous I wouldn't know now if something happened to the tires while I'm driving . I make 2 trips to the store asking to fix it . At first they say it's free of charge because it's there fault. When I came all the way from Massachusetts to Manchester, they claimed the sensor is broken and have to replace it and asked to pay for it !! I told them you caused a sensor problem when you installed the tires and you have to fix it on your own . They refuse and kicked me out of store !! So rude and have no manner or respect to the customer . They think we are fool to believe them . Never recommend this place to anyone . Save your time and money and find better store. Just had work done on my 2001 Chrysler 300M August 2nd 2017. The staff there were incredibly professional. The Manager was extremely accomodating after running into an issue with seized cam adjuster sleeves. I had to wait longer than expected due to this issue but was told there was no charge for the service for the inconvenience. I was also approved for a Firestone credit card for $1400.00 while I was waiting. This was a super surprise because my credit was not super good at the time. I cant thank Chris the Manager there enough for his professionalism. I will remain a loyal customer and plan to spend the money from the credit card I was approved for on tires there. We called around found Vip in Londonderry NH.. they looked at the car gave an estimate of 156.00 for rear brakes.. They fixed the problem.. I recently moved to NH from MA and came to Firestone in order to get an inspection and oil change. I brought in my car knowing I had just passed inpection in MA for the year, expecting to come out with a laundry list of failure points despite my knowledge that the car is in fine working order per my previous (trusted) mechanic. I was prepared for the failure, what i was not prepared for was what happened after I picked it up. I paid for my oil change and state inspection and started the- no exaggeration here- 5 minute ride home. Never had an issue with my brakes prior to picking up my car and in fact the first two minutes coming out of the Market Basket parking lot was alright but somehow in the next three minutes to my apartment, my brakks did not work properly. They went from being slightly touchy, to the point that i sometimes felt I should put rubber across my dash to protect my face from the inevitable hit, to being completely unresponsive. Thinking, well everyone makes mistakes, they will just apologize and take care of the problem after I call them! No. First of all, their phone number is disconnected. I drove there in my broken car, still thinking they just need to see the car and will notice that since my oil change sticker milage reflects that about 4 miles under what was there this time around. Clearly I didn'y joy ride around, braking like a madwoman and taking every pot hole at 70 miles an hour. Not correct. The manager there told me I had a leak. I let him know i thought it was funny that i had no issues until leaving their lot and that with my state inspection.invoice that lists all "recommended services not authorized by owner" aka what they would love to charge me for in additional services- its interesting there is no mention of this terrible brake leak. I mean, that hole must be just gaping if the fluid was able to drain so quickly in my 5 minute drive home. He laughed and said these things can happen at any time. Let me take the time to mention that extensive list added up tp $760.00... I attempted to contact the company headquarters, I called four numbers from four web sites. All disconnected or picked up by a full voice mai boxesl. Finally, I made a complaint with their retail operations- FYI listed on the back of your invoice in case you are in a similar circumstance. The representative was kind, but will anything come of it? I have no faith. I thought perhaps I was overreacting but with the ubiquitous poor reviews for this group I have decided against taking my normal kernal of blame.
