So the question becomes why would you not know your workforce on duty? Why should you book it even earlier than the original appointment only to not be able to do it. Consumers Beware of this Firestone, I want to File a formal complaint against Brian Garcia Service Manager at the Firestone located on 1553 S Crismon Rd. Mesa, Az 85208. Who performed a coolant leak pressure test without my consent and caused my water pump to start leaking. When I brought vehicle in, I told Brian to check the radiator hose connected to thermostat housing and let me know if it is leaking! That's it!! Not to perform leak pressure check. Upon questioning Brian why he did this, he told me it was an Industry Standard to perform Pressure Leak test without Getting Customer Approval!!! Then he presented a Cooling System service estimate of 2700.00 to repair his Pressure Leak Test damage to my Water Pump! Again, will discuss situation with Douglas Zivelonghi Store Manager to see if he will offer to make situation right!!! But I will continue to file Complaint's and bad reviews on BBB website, Website of location of Firestone Store on 1553 S Crismon, Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tock websites! I'd been going to the same location for 15 years, since it was owned by Fletche's. Since it was bought out by Firestone the quality and service is terrible. Look at all the other 1 star reviews recently. Took my Jeep for A/C repair. Almost $400 later they replaced a schrader valve and filled it up without finding a leak. The freon leaked back out again in less than 100 miles. Second visit they told me they still couldn't find a leak so they just wanted to guess at what it was and replace the compressor. Or they said maybe it was an evaporator. Third visit compressor is replaced and it still isn't working, but they want to charge me again. When I offered a very detailed explained why I think they mad mistakes, service person started yelling at me and told me to get out and never come back. Further said that people like me are what's wrong with this world! When he pulled my Jeep out of the service bay he even squealed the tire. I have used this Firestone before for oil changes without issue. I made an appointment and dropped the car off early. I started calling to check on my car an hour and a half before closing. No one EVER answered the phone. Finally, a half hour before closing, I went to get my car. They had NEVER started it. The guy said they could keep it over-night and do it the next day, but I needed my car. He just shrugged and handed me my keys. No apology and no offer to make it up to me. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Took my car in on 5/06 for a free brake check as my brake pad sensor went off, and I wanted to confirm if it was front or rear. To start, they said they had attempted to email me regarding my appointment - they did not. Kaleb, the employee who assisted, kept making note he would have to do it himself (that's his job, no?), and eventually took my keys to do the check. About an hour later they were done and I was given a repair estimate for $4600. They stated I would need new front brake pads, rotors, sensor, wheel bearings, and that my brake fluid was incredibly dark. He stated my battery was bad, my tires needed replacing, and that my struts and shocks on the drivers side were seeping. I may look like a woman who doesn't know a thing about cars, but I knew to immediately get a second opinion, and also look for a possible cheaper repair option ($1000 for just the front brakes per Firestone). So I took my car to a reputable mechanic who knows my brand of car very well. Firestone told me my front brake pads were 3mm & 2mm. My mechanic (who even showed me), measured them at 6mm & 4mm, with the 4mm being what tripped the sensor. My wheel bearings? Completely fine. Brake fluid? The exact opposite of dark. It actually looked relatively new. Battery? Completely fine. The seeping struts and shocks? ZERO leakage. Tires? Wonderful tread depth. Nothing. Zip. Nada. None of the issues I was quoted $4600 were actually issues. My mechanic even showed me everything he was looking at, so I could verify with my own eyes. I did go ahead and replace my brake pads and rotors, but for a fraction of the cost Firestone was asking. I'm not sure if this particular Firestone, let alone Kaleb, is in the business of completely hoodwinking and trying to STEAL from people, but you all need morals. I understand everyone needs to make a living, but making up repair issues is just completely unethical. You simply prey on people with the way you operate your business. You saw someone with a fairly new car (I've owned it for a month), and your business tried to take advantage of that, probably assuming I'd take your word for everything you "recommended." You should all be ashamed of yourselves. How anyone chooses this shop is beyond me. My advice is to completely ignore that this location even exists. It's one of those times when I wish Yelp would allow zero stars. I have never seen this level of incompetence. I brought my daughter's car in on 12/23 for oil change and to check out a sound. Hours later they called to let me know the sound was coming from a failed belt tensioner. I asked them to replace. They called a couple hours later to say the repair was completed but it hadn't solved the problem and that their more experienced technician could take a look in 12/27. $350 of work for an oil change and a repair that didn't fix my problem. Brought car back on 12/27. Left them with the key I'd just used to drive the car there. Asked that they look for cause of sound again and see if they could diagnose A/C issue. They called shortly after and said the key wouldn't work. We brought another key. They still couldn't get the ignition to turn. Reminder that both keys worked fine until the car was dropped off. At this point, with few other options, I asked them to do the work necessary to fix the ignition that they clearly broke. When they called on 12/28 to let me know the repair was done, they said they were still unable to figure out why A/C wasn't working. But that maybe for an extra $500 they could replace a part that might make it work. I said no. Went to pick up car. $900. I told service manager my frustration. He didn't offer a single thing. So I'm out $1200 for an oil change, a new tensioner that didn't fix my problem, and a new ignition to replace the one that worked fine before I dropped the car at the shop. I have literally never dealt with such incompetent people. Or dirty swindlers. Not sure which they are. Maybe both. Do not ever, under any circumstance, bring your car to this shop for any kind of work. read more

Worst service I have ever had with any form of service. Brought my car in at 11 for a scheduled appointment for a simple front end alignment. Told them I had another appointment this afternoon so I would wait. At 12:50, I inquire as to when they will be done, to which the guy at the counter returns and tells me he will get right on it and should be done in 20 minutes. 40 minutes later, it was finally completed. To top it off, my floor mat has a nice greasy boot print on it, and the entire outside edge of my door is covered in greasy finger prints, as well as a nice glob of grease behind the door handle. I definitely wish I had read the reviews before bringing my business to this poor excuse for an automotive service center. I would avoid this business like the plague if you are looking to have any work performed on your vehicle. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. My husband had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation at 9 am this morning. We dropped the car off right when they opened at 8. At 10:30 am someone called us to tell us it needed a cabin air filter, engine air filter, and shocks. The air filters were just changed less than 3 weeks ago, so we know this was false. They told us it would be done by noon. At 2:30 we call they say they are busy with a tire sale, haven't gotten to it yet. At 3:45 we call again saying we need it done and are coming to pick it up, mind you they close at 5. He says I'll have the keys ready for you when you get here. We get there at 4:15 pm and are told they did not ever work on it and hands us the keys. Tells him good day. My husband starts saying he had an appointment and how could they keep it all day with no work done and no communication. The managers response is "everyone had appointments. We are short staffed with a tire sale deal with it" this is insane customer service. I will leave a review on every website and contact corporate as well. We are long time customers and just spent over $200 at that location on a different car of ours 2 days ago. AVOID THIS LOCATION LIKE THE PLAGUE. So I took my car in a year ago to have some new rear tires put on. I had ordered the tires from Tire Rack, which is THE BEST way to buy tires. Anyway, I took the car in, Firestone installed them...no problems......UNTIL now. Last Tuesday, on my way home from Gilbert, and had a blow out. No problem....got a spare, jack, and everything I need to change a flat....WRONG. The lugs were on so tight I couldn't get one loose. Call AAA...they send a van, he can't get them loose. Wait 2 hours for a tow truck, finally get home at 1:00am. Order new tires from Tire Rack, have Discount Tire (5 stars!!!!) send out their mobile installation van. The lugs were on so tight it broke the key to the locking lugs, and Firestone crossthreaded one of the lugs, so now I'm paying $250 to fix their shitty work. Don't go here!!!!! read more

We have been coming here for over 10 years. Things have really changed since COVID. All of the people working there we have trusted over the years are gone. Most left for greener pastures. We can no longer recommend this company. We have had several hiccups in the past year. Low fluids even though they stated they checked them on the sheet. Oil leaking because the fuel filter wasn't plugged in. The maintenance light wasn't reset. Over time these issues begain to worry us. If you miss these little things, what big things are you missing? This past visit clinched it. We will be going somewhere else. We just can't trust them anymore. We were told our Cabin Filter is dusty and needs replacing. I just replaced it myself 2 weeks ago. In addition they said the coolant was "So low they couldn't measure it." We asked why it wasn't just filled then. The women at the front said it costs money. We told her we are well aware that they don't service vehicle for free. A gentleman in the back said "I'm sure it's fine because we had a coolant flush within the year." I really think they cut corners and aren't actually checking fluid levels. They also aren't filling the fluids. This place just can't be trusted. They also have no common sense apparently. BEWARE!! THIS PLACE WILL SCAM YOU! If only I could give 0 stars, I would. Just check their BBB rating and the number of complaints filed against them. I went to this location due to check engine light. Got the diagnostics and paid for services. 2 days later, check engine light comes back on. Took my car in again so they can check the quality of their work. They failed to communicate with me that the initial tech who did the work is out on vacation and so my car sat in their shop, unattended for almost 2 whole days. After voicing out my frustration, they finally had another tech look into the problem. It turns out they can't determine why the check engine light came back on, due to their system unable to return the right codes -- which, once again, they decided not to communicate that very important part from the very beginning. So what, they're systems are outdated? They offer services they can't provide? I asked for proof of work (if any at all) done to my car and they made no attempts to provide them. If you don't take my word for it, then be prepared to have your hard-earned money taken instead! They market "Fixed right or free guarantee." LIES, LIES, AND MORE LIES! I took my 2021 Highlander to get alignment and I didn't get a print out of how alignment was or what alignment was corrected to. They said they would email me invoice of everything. I got email of what they "recommended I fix". However what I did get was brand new dings on my wheels from them carelessly shoving the alignment equipment on my wheels. Each wheel has new dings on them. Talk about carelessness. Will not return to this location. Normally I would call and complain but at end of the day nothing will get done. This was the second, more local establishment I attempted to call this morning to inquire about a basic oil change. At least their phone demeanor was better than the prior one, but I can't say I'll attempt this one in the future, either. I was left feeling rather confused with exactly what is going on at this shop, after my inquiry. Calling on a Saturday morning to see if there was time to squeeze me in for an oil change (whenever possible) wasn't a big deal. But, I was told: "sorry there is an event today, we won't be able to get you in." ...what kind of an "event" prevents a shop from performing services? That was a little strange. They did, however inform me the shop is open on Sundays. That was ALMOST music to my ears, and I would have hopped on that & made an appointment until he told me: "you can drop your vehicle off first thing in the morning & we'll call you by close to come pick it up." Uhm... no, I don't want to be up at 7am on a Sunday to drop my vehicle off. And, I don't understand HOW a basic oil change would take the ENTIRE day to complete??? Most other service shops take 30 minutes or less to perform a basic oil change. Most don't even require an appointment. But this one wants to camp & hold a vehicle hostage the entire day. That isn't just inconvenient, but also shady. It makes me wonder what could possibly take so long & why they aren't more available to customer service & convenience. I'm glad I found elsewhere that got me in without me even calling, and out in less than 30 minutes. I don't suggest bothering with this one. My BMW maintenance plan was over, and I needed an oil change. I decided to find a corporate chain place, just in case something went wrong. Sorry for the pessimism. I decided to call Firestone, which I actually forgot that it had become, since Fletcher's. I called to get a quote from Jason, then called back to make the appointment for the next day. I was surprised to see that I could get a service on a Sunday. That's pretty darned convenient. I also found that the oil change was about 100 bucks cheaper than a mom and pop had quoted me. I arrived at my appointment time, and was directed to the waiting area. This waiting room is the only reason for the negative star. If it could be a half star, that would be called for here. The waiting room had a large TV playing very loud foosball games (not even a Cardinal's game!). There was no remote or way to lower the volume. There was a refreshment station, but no bean or leaf water. I think there were waters in a small refrigerator, but I didn't open it. The chairs were fine, but not very comfy for a moderate wait. It took about 25 minutes for my car to leave the parking spot and hit the service bay. After that, it was smooth sailing. My service was done quickly, and I was out of there. I think my mechanic was Marcus. They pulled the car up front, and I checked out with Jason, who was so friendly. A bonus is that you can just have the service record/receipt e-mailed, and go paperless. I also threw in a few bucks for the Boys & Girls Club, which was a nice touch. I wasn't sold on services I didn't ask for, and wasn't treated different than my husband would be. I had a positive experience, and would come back here again for service...at least for my oil change. I would just BYOT (Bring your own tea!). read more

I've been a customer of this branch for over tree years, my son the same and I take my wife's car there to, so I was surprised when I went to get a puncture fixed Sat morning 12th Feb and Sat for 2 hours so I could get back on the road, I'm an Uber driver, and it was the golf tournament and Super Bowl weekend to, it was a very busy weekend for ride share, I went back on the road, within 2 hours the Tyre suddenly deflated at 70mph on the 202, I managed to get over 4 lanes to safety, after 2 hour wait the AAA man put the spare on and off I went to Firestone to sort it, had to have a new tyre, so a couple of hundred dollars gone plus the loss of earnings, got the new tyre fitted and the next day went out on the road, my first ride had luggage, I went to put the luggage in the boot, sorry Trunk, and there's my spare wheel filthy as you can imagine,, so I had to explain to the customer that they couldn't have their luggage in the trunk they would have to have it in car with then, and had to do that several times throughout the day, didn't help with my ratings or tip prospects, I went back today and asked why the fitter didn't put the spare back under the car? Basically all I got was oh that's because the guy was supposed to Finnish at 5 and he did the job at 6:30, how exactly is that my issue? So not wanting to wait another 30 mins to an hour, I put the spare wheel back in its carriage under the car, don't think that was my job! read more

I am so disappointed I bought a set of tires for my SUV so I feel comfortable taking in my sons car for an alignment, rotation and balancing what a huge mistake! they called me recommending a full set of tires they're stating the tires are six years old. The car is a 2018 with under 27,000 miles. It sat in my garage for 2 1/2 years until he was able to drive it. How could you possibly need new tires? Then they told me they were unable to even work on them because of the age of the tire I was so irritated. The condition of the tire is impeccable, but because of the age because you want to get a sell because you wanna be a scammer you're going to call my phone and tell me it's required I get a new set of tires. They missed a pulley when putting on new serpentine belt. I told them it's rattling they said "drive for a week and if it's still rattling bring it back". Took it back the next day and that's when they discovered they missed a pulley. Then they had the audacity to tell me the pulleys are worn? They weren't worn when you had it the day before? I called to get the suspension replaced on my 1995 Mazda Miata and I spoke to Robert. I explained to him that my car would bottom out over small bumps and the suspension was squeaking. We discussed price and setup an appointment. After I picked up my car I notices the squeaking was worse and my front end felt worse then before. I returned to discuss the concerns I had and come to find out they only replaced the struts but not the springs. WHO DOES THAT!! Robert told me that is what I said I wanted so that was all they did. That is not what we discussed and why would I only want the struts replaced with 27 year old springs put back in. Needless to say we had words and I was told they did what I wanted and that was it. Never have had such poor service from a tire store. Purchased a set of tires with warranty which includes flat repair and rotation. I made an appointment after getting a nail. The appointment for just the one tire took three hours. I needed service again for a slow leak and made an appointment. I received return call voice message that they would not be able to honor the time and asked if I could leave my car or reschedule. When I called back to reschedule I stated I was unable to leave my car and would like to reschedule. The person who claimed to be the manager said he could get me in next day at 11, however, couldn't let me know how long it would take. When I pressed him for the time to repair one tire leak, he said 3 hours. I asked what was the point of have an appointment if you're going to keep my car half the day! He told me to take my car to another store, which I did. Firestone on Crismon Rd in east Mesa needs new management to fix that clown show of incompetence. read more

The gentlemen at this location were so helpful. My 15 passenger van was driving a little off, and they performed an air pressure check for me and made time in the last hour of their day to change the tires on my van. They talked me through the costs and options and were incredibly helpful when I told them that I had a budget to work with. They gave me some advice as to what to look for while driving home to make sure the problems didn't get worse, and what order to get things repaired/replaced so that I could spread the needed repairs out over the next couple of months. (To accomodate my current budget) Thank you so much for being so helpful and understanding. I feel much safer driving back home across the country after taking my van to you guys. read more

I received an email advising if there was an issue they would contact me. Showed up and low and behold they said they were too busy. Jesus went even further to be dishonest and say that they emailed me advising me to call. No email was ever received. Dropped my vehicle off with "we will try to get to it before closing." 28 hours later and no updates from Firestone. Called the store, the phone rang for 2 minutes before anyone answered and magically my vehicle was had just been completed. Not at all happy with my recent visit or the service provided.
