Terrible Experience with Firestone I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Firestone regarding the repair of my vehicle. Initially, I was hopeful that they would resolve the issues I was facing, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. After bringing my car in for repair, I was assured that everything would be taken care of. However, it became clear that the service I received was subpar. They claimed to have conducted a test drive and completed the necessary repair, but my car was left in an un-drivable state. I later learned from another mechanic another place that they did not perform the repairs adequately, which has now cost me $1,400. When I approached the manager, Frank, seeking assistance and a resolution to this matter, my concerns were met with indifference. He showed no willingness to work with me or acknowledge the substandard service. As a single mom, this experience has been not only costly but also frustrating, leaving me feeling unsupported and misled. Due to this experience, I cannot recommend Firestone to anyone. The Mokena Firestone is a rude, unprofessional, shystering Firestone. Customer service by Brandon is unpleasant and unprofessional. Brandon is rude and disrespectful to women of color. This location in Mokena is always over selling and padding your needs and their services. I live in Frankfort, three mile from the Mokena Firestone, but I have a more professional and pleasant experience with the Tinley Park Firestone, which is 11 miles away. I contacted corporate office in Nashville regarding the terrible customer service, as well as the padding and overselling of services from this store location. In the past 3 months, Mokena Firestone has attempted to upcharge and overselling me twice. Whereas the Tinley Park Firestone was honest and upstanding. I spent over 2,000.00 on multiple vehicles with honest Tinley Park location. Whereas Mokena wrote a quote for 5,000.00 on just 1 vehicle. Do not visit the Mokena Firestone location. Go to the Tinley Park Firestone Complete. If you have problems with any location file a complaint with the Illinois State Attorney Consumer Fraud department. read more

These guys are bad. I had them replace a part on my car. Just a short time later the same part has gone bad. I was asked what to mileage on my car is. I said why would that make a difference. "Because it's warrantied for 36,000 miles." I gave him my current mileage. With a quick response, "nope, you're past the mileage for warranty". I tried to explain to him that there wasn't anyway possible I could have put the mileage on my car he was claiming. Literally it was 40% of the miles on vehicle in just a short amount of time. There was no amount of math I could do that he could understand with logic. Realistically the error came from them not recording the correct mileage. But they aren't bending. This was the last and final time that I will accept this type of customer service from Firestone. So if you choose to go here, take a picture of your odometer and the service techs hand written copy and save them. I believe this is fraud. read more

Less than a star if I could I would give them nothing wasted our time to have us come all the way out to the site for a steering wheel alignment for them just to look at it should go ahead and go no sorry we don't do that and then waste our time about it say hey do you know anywhere we could go no I don't know what to tell you. If you are female or don't know a lot about cars avoid this place at all costs. They said my new battery needed to be replace, charged me almost $100 for an oil change. When I was told my brakes were going to be over $1,000 they acted like I should be grateful. They are upselling and overcharging. I went to the store in Mokena for new brakes. During the inspection I was told I needed new struts, spark plugs and bushings. I was quoted $6000 +. I declined and took my car to my pops mechanic in the SW side of Chicago who has been around for decades. He told me the struts and bushings were in good shape and due to the mileage the spark plugs should be changed but it could wait. What the heck Fireston, trying to swindle people for work not needed. I won't be a return customer nor will I recommend. read more

I'm not sure why this Firestone has appointments. I dropped the car off for a 9:00AM oil change appointment. Its 1:30PM and they still aren't done. It takes 30 minutes to do an oil change. I'm not sure if they don't care or what. For something that basic it seems ridiculous to make a customer who has an appointment wait that long. The story is not over yet. I decided to just go there since when I called initially to see if it was done they said it would be one of the next cars. I figured it would probably be in the bay. As soon as I pulled up it was right where I parked it at 9:00AM. Once I saw this, before I even went in the store, I scheduled an appointment at a different location knowing they had already failed me. When I went inside the person behind the desk said they hadn't gotten to it yet. I told him to just to give me the keys and that I made an appointment else where. I remarked that it shouldn't take this long if I had an appointment that early considering it was now 2:00PM. He even had the nerve to tell me it was expected to be done at 5:00PM and that they should have told me that. Well obviously they didn't. If I'd known it would take 8 hours to do an oil change I would have said no before I made the appointment. I bet the jiffy lube down the street can do the job in less than 8 hours. I'm not the type of person to write one star reviews but this one is certainly satisfying. Only doing 1 star as I have to. If you are planning on having your alignment completed at this store, PLEASE be sure to have an assessment completed. My alignment was completed, and I was NOT advised that the assessment was an additional option until AFTER the fact. When I was leaving the shop after the alignment my front drivers end collapsed and created MORE damage to my car then if I would have been informed of the condition. I am blessed that I was not driving high speeds, if/and/or my children had been in the car with me. It would have been horrific. I received my money back for the alignment from the store, but I had to pay for the tow, and repairs that had to happen due to their error. read more

I would give this place zero stars if i could! I made an appointment to have an oil change done. I dropped the car off at the time they said. The man said put keys on the counter and said they closed at 4. I said ok should I come back at 4 and he said yes. When I went back the car was in the same spot I left it and the keys were still on the counter. I said I'm here to pick up my car and he looked at me and I said here are the keys on the counter where I left them and he said thats not a good sign??? It was the same person that I checked in with. I took the keys and started to walk out and he said can I try to fix this? I said no thanks I'll go elsewhere. I understand things are different now with covid but don't make appointments and not follow thru. I have used this place for things in the past. I also drove out of my way to get my oil changed at this Firestone location. We used to take our cars to the Firestone in Oak Lawn, and always had a really great experience. Sadly, I did not receive the same experience from the Mokena location. When I walked in with all 3 of my kids in tow, both people at the counter neglected to greet me. One of them was hunched over the counter with his hands on his face. I let him know I had an appointment and I was also paying with a coupon. They took the car in and did the oil change. It took probably just under an hour. I was sitting in the waiting room and they called me (on my phone) to let me know that the oil change was complete and I could pick up my car. I feel the price I paid for this oil change (even with a coupon) was way overpriced and the customer service was underwhelming. I filled out an online survey through Firestone voicing my frustrations with my experience and the manager Corey called me. He offered me vouchers for a future oil change and said "I hope you will give us another chance." Wouldn't you know it? The vouchers never arrived at my house. I definitely will not be returning or wasting my money on this Firestone location again. read more

I went in for a gas leak. After waiting for 3 hours I was told I had to get a new gas tank, that the gas tank was 1 month back order and that the price was $3600 installed. Having an old car the repair was not worth it so I went home thinking I had to get a new car. After going online to look up for myself and after 10 minutes I checked the top of my gas tank from under the back seat where there was a trap, and found that the leak was coming from the gas filter. I ordered the part and the tools needed and fixed it in 35 minutes for $51! This shop is a ripoff and they are thieves! Do not go there unless you want them to change windshield wipers and still I'm not sure it would be done properly! I'll never go back there! They are terrible! read more

These guys were amazing...got flat on I80 on way out of town, and LOST the lug nut key. They were able to get the tire off and fixed, in less than 40 minutes, and were really amazing to deal with. I don't know why people left some bad reviews here. I read the reviews on google, and went out of my way (New Lenox) to come in here for an oil change. In 'n out 45 min with appointment, no hassle. Front desk guy - 5 stars, applied my coupon without even me asking to do it. Mechanics - 5 stars, I stripped the head of the oil drain bolt tryin to do it myself, they didn't have any issues extracting it for me. Right now this will be my go to place until something changes. I got a flat tire on my car and so I brought my car here to see if they could still repair it. They told me that my car tire is irrepairable which was shady because before going here I tried to put some air in it and managed to detect where the hole was which was just a little close to the side. They said that there was a nail that damaged the side wall and that it couldn't be repaired anymore so I have to replace the tire. I didn't mention that I checked it earlier before going there but just wanted to get it fixed so I opted to get the tire replaced instead. My car comes with Michellin Summer Tires and so I asked them if they had Summer Tires available. They said they don't but they have All-Season tires. I said that I'm not comfortable mixing an All-Season tire with Summer Tires because it's not safe. They said that it's perfectly fine and that my car doesn't have Summer Tires on it but rather it has All-Season tires. They were laughing amongst themselves as they were saying this making me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. I just then thought that to avoid any arguments I'll just have it replaced that night and then buy the rest of the 3 other All-Season tires next week. After they've replaced it, I saw that the things in the glove compartment of my car was all messed up and I saw that the wheel lock key which I usually put at the car trunk was left near the passenger seat. I thought maybe that's the reason why they searched through my glove compartment although it would've been better if they asked me where it was placed. When I looked at the wheel lock key, it was replaced with a generic one. The one that came from toyota looked nicer and has a blue lining on it. I was a little bit angry at the situation but I just decided to let it go. After two days, I wondered if they changed the tire cap too and saw that it was replaced with a silver generic one. All the other tire caps in my car are black and I'm a bit OC even with small details so that really pissed me off since there was no reason to replace it. Plus if you're going to replace it at least change it with the same color! I went back there and said that I wanted to get my stuff back. They said they lost it and if I want, I should just buy a new set and they could reimburse it. I said "I guess well that's convenient for you guys. Why don't you just give me the tire cap and the wheel lock key back. They said that they can't do that and they called the police on me to get me out of their vicinity. So I waited for the police to explain my point but sadly they didn't hear me out and just asked me to leave. They just said that they didn't want me in their vicinity and that I have to leave. I felt so bad about what they did to me and for not being heard. I payed for their service, was stolen from and got treated horribly. You entrust "professionals" from a known company with your car and instead they swap the parts with their generic stuff. I suggest to save yourself the trouble and get your car repaired somewhere else. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. I recently got all 4 tires replaced and within a week the "service tire monitor" warning came up. I called and they said that happens sometimes to give it a couple days and it should go away. After a week it went away so I figured everything was fine. 4 weeks later the warning came back on so I gave it some time but it stayed on. I called and set up an appointment to have it looked at. I specifically told the worker that the service tire monitor was going off on the rear passenger side tire. When I received the call I was told "the tire had a malfunction which was covered under the warranty" when I went to pick my car up I was told they needed my key fob to reset the system. The gentleman started reprogramming the tire monitors and when he got to the one that was supposed to be repaired he looked at me and said "well it looks like your monitors broke" I was in complete disbelief of what he just said. I explained to him that I had brought my car for them to look at that exact problem. He tried telling me that they had to repair all 4 tires because they all had leaks, which was an absolute lie. All three tires showed perfect PSI when I brought them in and I hadn't had any problems with it in the past. Even if they had to repair all 4 tires they still didn't address the problem I brought the car in for. He then looked at me and said "it will run you about $80 to replace this" I told him to give me my keys and left. I would rather pay another place $1000 to fix it than ever let them touch my car again. This location has been nothing but problems for everyone I know. They've forgotten to put oil in during an oil change, they installed 1 of my tires backwards, forgot to put the lug nuts back on two of my tires, they've over tightened a timing belt and disconnected remote starts. I could keep going with the amount of times this Firestone has messed up and claimed "isn't their fault" they pretend like all these just happen to break after bringing a car to this location. read more

Paid $1000 dollars for firestone tires. They lasted 19k miles before one blew out. I went there on a Thursday and the next available appointment was three days later on a Sunday. They said I could leave the car there. When I asked the timeframe that I would get mu car back, the service person said "sometime today" with no real estimate. This is not a place I would ever go back to again even though they are close to my house.
