Had an appointment for 1, just an oil change, nothing else. Dropped the car off and was told that they were behind but since I had an appointment I should be done quicker. Came back an hour later and my car hadn't been touched. The point of making an appointment is so that you can arrange your day and not have to wait around after already changing your work schedule. The woman who told me it wasn't done was rude and not at all helpful. The man who took my car keys to begin with wouldn't even look at me. This was my first time with Firestone. Scheduled an appointment to get my AC system checked. Was quoted by the scheduler over the phone that it would run around $60 for them to check which is great and beats the cost of a diagnostic test at the dealership which is where I usually go. When I arrive for my appointment the gentleman doesn't even greet me and after a few moments finally acknowledges my presence. He confirmed the details of the appointment and mentioned that they would have to do another test that goes hand and hand with checking the system. I asked if there was an additional cost to that and informed me that my total cost to check the AC would be $199. I informed him that the gentleman who scheduled my appointment quoted me $60 and he said "He should've known better and should've quoted you for the other test we have to run". The cost of a diagnostic test at the dealership is $6 cheaper and goes towards the cost of the repair so there honestly isn't a point of getting it done at Firestone. I don't mind if "x" amount of tests need to be ran to figure out the issue, I have a problem with not being properly quoted and them not being even apologizing/offering some form of discount. If I could give less than one star I would. Went for an oil change, tire rotation, brake check, etc. Was about 1 o'clock in the afternoon. I was told there were 4-5 ahead of me, but they would have my car up in an hour or so and call me with what was going on. Three hours later, my car still hasn't been up. 5 1/2 hours later, I'm still there, One of the guys is telling me every 20 minutes my car is almost finished. Finally popped off at the guy, and my car was down in 10 minutes. I missed my Gfs son's start of school orientation with his teachers, which pissed Her off. . Called the 1-800 number to complain. Was told someone would call me back within 48 hours. 10 days later, a regional manager called me and could not have been less interested in what I had to say. Not only will I never go back to this particular Firestone, I won't go back ever again to any location. read more

Upon calling and asking about services and pricing, my appointment was some how canceled after I already arrived. I was told to come back the next day I did so. I waited 25 minutes in line just to drop off my car while Tim flirted whit every female that walked by.once I came to pick up my vehicle the price of the service was 35 dollars more than what I was originally told. when I asked about the price difference, he could not give me a direct answer. So he tried to offer a 15$ coupon. after inspecting my car my skid panel ( what suppose to protect my oil pan) was in my back seat when I asked them to the put it back on. He then told me to come back tomorrow Because they were about to close it was 435. I was being over charged without reason. If you are looking for honest, trustworthy Auto Care where you will not be taken advantage of, I wouldn't recommend Firestone Complete Auto Care @ 7035 East Case Pkwy, Montgomery AL 36117. My nephew is a 20-year-old college sophomore. He is a first-time car owner and ordinarily, his father would help him deal with such issues. Unfortunately, his father was in the hospital, recovering from a stroke, so he was not able to assist his son with this issue. His car was vibrating terribly, so we had him take the car to this location. He explained that the car was vibrating and also indicated that there was a noise coming from the right front. The car was dropped off August 4, 2020 for a diagnostic assessment. The repair shop called and informed him that the Power Steering Pump needed to be replaced and that they couldn't find the reason for the noise or the vibrations. Being a naïve young man who knows very little about cars, of course, he agreed to allow them to change the pump which costed $385. However, none of the problems he was having were associated with needing a power steering pump. He wasn't having any problems turning or steering, so there doesn't seem to be any reason or rationale for replacing a pump. Needless to say, replacing the power steering pump did not address the issue of the terrible vibration. Had his Dad not been in the hospital, we are sure he would not have been taken advantage of in this way. I arrived in town for a visit and had him take me for a ride in the car and it was still bouncing and vibrating terribly, as if nothing was done to repair the vibration. On August 8, 2020 we both took the car back to the same location, informed them that the issue had not been addressed with the repair that they completed and asked to them fix the problem. I also asked the repairman what color is the power steering fluid should be if it had been repaired and confirmed it should be red, since it should have been refilled with new fluid when a new pump was installed. The fluid in my nephew's care was nowhere near red in color. I also asked him why they would change a power steering pump when it had nothing to do with the original problem, which was the bouncing and vibration. His only response was "we called the customer before making the repair and the customer agreed" When my nephew and my sister returned to pick up the car, they called me and said it was ready. I asked what was the problem? "The tires, needed balancing." Did I mention, that they also did a complete Brake Job and replaced the rotors on the front? Balancing the tires is all that the car needed in the first place, yet they claim to have replaced the Power Steering Pump. They were also going to charge my nephew for another diagnostic fee, until I told him and my sister it was ridiculous to pay another fee for something, they should have fixed correctly the first time. They did agree to remove the 2nd diagnostic fee, but here is the kicker... They placed the vehicle on the rack and showed my sister that the rear tire is wobbling, possibly due to a bent wheel!!! After 2 trips to the store, they finally find the reason for the vibration. Not 1 wheel, but two wheels were bent and their solution was to replace a power steering pump and attempted to charge another inspection fee. This $385 fee should be refunded. My 77 year old mother-in-law's car died in the road in front of this store. 2 employees came out and without any inspection or computer diagnostic told her it was her catalytic converter and that they could replace and have her going in a couple of hours. Thankfully, she had it towed somewhere else, but shame on these guys for trying to take advantage of an elderly woman. Made me sick. read more

Watched my car sit there with the hood open for an hour while other people who came in after me had their cars worked on. The guy didn't even properly close the hood of my car or throw away the paper mat they left inside when they were done. read more

Just because the issue occurred during your repair doesn't mean that someone else had to have done it! Two weeks ago, I took my vehicle in to have new brakes and rotors placed on it at the Eastchase Firestone location in Montgomery, AL. The repair was done in a couple of hours and I returned to pick the vehicle. Representative completes check out procedure and informs me that I should look at having the tires replaced soon at which point I thanked him for info and let him know I had already ordered some and would be replacing them after the holiday. Happy customer, drives off and enjoys a week of Thanksgivings festivities. Holiday over and I have a day to get the tires replaced. Rise and shine, up and to the box store to have the tires I ordered placed on the vehicle, first appointment of the day 10am. Drop the vehicle off and return about 1 hour later to be informed that the work can't be done as the lug nuts have been stripped to the point that the socket will not properly fit and remove them. Advised I needed to take it back to the last place that had worked on the vehicle and have the issue rectified. Off I go, back to Firestone, the last place anyone had touched the lugs to see what could be done. Tech takes vehicle in the back and proceeds to attempt to remove the lugs. With some effort he has managed to remove them, but not without having me come into the shop to see that they had been rounded and needed the assistance of a small hammer and socket to be repaired enough to get the socket to fit and remove several. Now I'm not the smartest individual in the world, but I've changed enough tires to know that the use of a hammer to get a socket on the lug nut means there is for sure an issue there. So now at this point the representative on duty proceeds to tell me that the issue is not with what Firestone did, but the box store and says there is nothing he can do as he feels that nothing was wrong and I needed to return to the box store. At this point I leave and return to the box store with no resolution and a he said she said situation. To my surprise the box store stepped up in a big way. The manager on duty simply explained that his techs stopped halfway thru the process after realizing that there were too many lugs that had been damaged and it was pointless to continue. He kindly asked if I'd like to see the video surveillance of what was done. At that point it proved that the box store had only touched 1 side of the vehicle and offered to replace all of the lugs on that side to avoid any further he said she said about the entire situation. The box store also went as far as to contact firestone and let them know what they were doing and then gave the phone to me. The representative at Firestone then went into questioning me as to how many miles the vehicle had on it, if we had done it we would have let you know immediately, if the box store can't do it then you should bring your business to us and let us do it. At this point I felt so belittled that I just told the box store to do what needed to be done to replace my worn tires and I wouldn't be doing business with Firestone in any capacity anywhere. Dear Firestone, if you were the last to successfully remove the lugs and place them back on and someone comes behind you to remove them and can't because they are too rounded to proceed I think you should step up and take responsibility for your actions. Thank you box store for stepping up and taking care of the issue that Firestone created. One very disappointed customer! read more

Bought a set of tires, had an oil leak repaired and have been getting our oil changes on two vehicles here since we moved to Montgomery in June. So far they've been great with good prices. I can't speak to the poor experiences of others. We've been treated well here. The two who work the counter even recognize me by name and it's not like I go in there more than once a month or so. They are pretty upfront about setting expectations for wait times by recommending having someone pick you up, or going for some refreshments at one of the many nearby establishments. I took my 17 year old car in today (May 2017) because I was concerned about how it was driving. I had been there in March suspecting a broken motor mount, and was told that all that was needed was a half shaft, which I already knew. I was assured that the car was in good shape for the age and spent more money on other optional services, one of which was for the life of the car. Ha. So, today an inspection was done by a technician at Firestone who was both competent and honest and behold, the car needed over $3000 worth of work, on items that were checked off as being satisfactory at the March visit. Bottom line, I spent several hundred dollars on a car that I need to replace as soon as possible. I would not have done any of the repairs if I had known the true state of the car. I'm very disappointed because I'd used another Firestone for many years and they had never let me down. My advice is to make sure you know the technician who will work on your car. It disturbs me that they hire - and retain - people who just don't care, when your life and that of your family is literally riding on the quality of their work. read more
