A pretty good place to get your car checked out. Staff are nice and willing to explain repairs. Prices are pretty decent especially for inspections but you definitely need to pay attention to their coupons for great deals. Waiting area could use an update and have something like coffee for customers but overall this Firestone is pretty good. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a vehicle inspection to be done. I had my friend drop the vehicle off, instead of doing the inspection and contacting me about further work that would need to be completed, Tyler completed a tire replacement without my approval. When I told them that's not what I requested to be done, Tyler got very frustrated and started to cuss at me. Terrible customer service and extremely over priced when there are alternatives such as discount tires that got the same job done for 40% of the price and half the time. read more

I have never had a bad experience at Firestone. I must preface by saying I know someone who works here, but I get top notch service every time. I have been going to this location for years, and have always had great customer service with the mechanics and office staff. They also run good deals on tires and have coupons in the mail regularly for oil changes and services on your car. I drive out of my way to visit this location, and would recommend it highly to anyone! I also have spent many a time sitting in the lobby waiting and observe the interactions the staff have with other customers. They are always courteous, honest, and give up front opinions. I have never seen anyone irate or agitated with their car service. In fact, I have sent friends and family to this Firestone and they have similar reviews. Run, which you would have to do as your vehicle would not be fixed, so running is your best chance. Made an appointment to take car in for checking warning light that left signal and brake light was out. Scheduled oil change and had wiper front and back replaced. 5 hours later told care was ready, The warning lights were still on and I still did not have a left turn signal. This was after being charged 6.98 for 2 light bulbs but the labor to "remove& replace" the 2 bulbs was $158.00. Yes, 158.00 and they still did not work! Went back in, they took my key and car returned to the service area. Brought out again and all my warning lights were off and I had a turn signal. Next day, Raining... turned on wipers, the front wipers were popping and slapping the windshield with each swipe, the rear wiper was leaving a 2-3 inch wide strip down the center of the window that the wiper never touched. Took the care back on 1/28. Was told, yes it looks like the front wipers needed an adaptor but not sure what happened to it in the package and the rear wiper, well they had trouble locating one but they tried with that one. Then I was told the manager was on his way in, would be about an hour, but I finally said, just bring my car around, I was not waiting another hour for the manager to arrive. The person at the desk then called Advance Auto and ordered new blades for the front but could not find anything for the rear. The front blades arrived via Uber and were installed and actually functioned after installation. The Rear, well he could not tell me what was going to happen. I called the store on Monday 1/29 and was told by the manager I assumed, they could not find a rear replacement blade and the only thing available was to purchase a new armature with blade from the dealership and I would be responsible to pay the difference. or get refunded for the wrong blade installed. Knowingly by them that they had the wrong blade. I was done, took the refund and the funny thing is that yes, they did refund me for the blade but not the labor, a small thing but the lack of customer care, they charged for knowingly installing the wrong blade. Firestone review TL;DR - everything that's annoyed you about doing business with auto repair people, in one place. Too-high prices, nonchalant employees, way way way too long wait times, at least twice in a row for two different services. But it genuinely seems more like corporate's fault than the employees It's just the usual crappy car service experience. Nobody greets you, have to go up to them cold and ask for their service. I've been to this location twice and waited longer than they told me my wait would be. My appointment was at 1pm on a weekday, so it wasn't terribly busy, and I was on time. I went in for a tire patch; normally a 30-minute job, but they said it'd be an hour. Fair enough, they've got other people to help. I asked for a quote for patching a tire - "oh we don't know, it just depends." Okay, it's not like you're supposed an expert on cars or something. The gentleman helping me doesn't smile or make eye contact. Just a crappy environment generally, but it's fine if this service is good. Anyway, an hour rolls around and I see my car with lights on driving around. I'm like "oh great, at least they were on time." Well, they were just starting. "It's been an hour and you're just starting," I tell the front desk person. "Yeah," is the response I get. Then he goes back to what he's doing. It's like doing business with a dial tone. These people just have a lifeless, dead look in their eyes, and don't really seem to be all that engaged with what they're doing. Like the chick in every movie that's always working the register, chewing gum, and looking down. It's surprising because I've been to good Firestone locations before. But this whole experience was just crappy and dirty and unenjoyable ad nauseam. The end result - they couldn't do anything, offered me a new tire instead, and I waited a while for the tire. Luckily this gave me a chance to stick around for an interview with the manager. I wasn't heated or anything, I just genuinely wanted to know what it was like working here. I couldn't imagine working in a place with uniformly slow service and half-dead people as my coworkers. I've been to places like this before and I just can't help but wondering what working at a place like this is like. So I asked the manager, with Boy Scout levels of sincerity: - "Do any of your appointments ever start on time?" "No, we're short-staffed." Well again, fair enough. Obviously Firestone is just like any other corporation that overworks its people and doesn't give them enough help. The employees were straight up - "if you're gonna complain, call corporate and tell them we need more people." This is the guy who helped me (he's more engaged now that I sounded like I might complain), and he's probably exactly right. I looked around - maybe four people running the show here. Not nearly enough. This sort of recontextualizes the experience: these employees are stuck in a shitty situation doing the best they can, but the powers that be don't give them enough to provide decent service. I doubt all car places have been short-staffed forever, but today it was obvious. I suppose I wouldn't be smiling either if I was being overworked from 8am-7pm. I made an appointment thinking that would get me in and out quicker-it didn't. After being there 3 hours, I had to ASK about my car before anyone told me they had ordered the wrong part and would need to order a new one. Another 3.5 hours later and I had to ASK again before being told it was ready but they didn't know where it was parked. No one apologized for my six and a half hour wait for one simple part to be replaced. I will never go back to this place and hope you learn from my mistake. read more

I guess Alexandria does not have a TV, cell phone from the last ten years, patience, consideration or friends to inform her there is a little thing called a global pandemic going on right now. One of my tires had a nail in it and I was heading out of town and needed them to change the tire on my Jeep. I had a brand new tire on the back of the Jeep but because the tire didn't have a sticker on it they refused to help me. They told me that they wouldn't have put the old tire back on the tire carrier for me either. So much for service...not helpful at all. Definitely do not recommend! read more

These guys consistently give me and my car great service and don't try to overcharge me. I can look up estimates on repairpal.com and Firestone prices are always right in line with what's fair. Just yesterday at work my car suddenly wouldn't start, it was DEAD. Had to get AAA to tow me here and towtruck driver and friends told me sounds like ignition switch, starter, cellanoid and guessing it might cost me 300 to 400.!! Later in the day Firestone called me and said my car was fixed--the issue? Loose wires! The cost? $27.00!! They could have told me and sold me anything and I wouldn't have known any better. I have been a customer for over ten years and the quality of customer care and service has degraded to the point where i only use this place for emergencies. I've had two batteries replaced in an Audi and a Honda and Year's later when I replaced the batteries they were both the wrong size. On another occasion I had my car towed in with a broken ball joint. I asked specifically where they wanted me to park the car. Later that same day they call me back to tell me I have to get another tow truck to move it into their lift? They couldn't put a dolly under the wheel in push it in. Hell they could have replaced it outside in about thirty minutes. They constantly try to sell you things you don't need and not always take proper vigilance doing their repairs. You have to check behind their work. They need new management team building or something. They are too expensive for the type of service they provide.. read more

Pathetic. I dont see how these people here stay in business. Last year I went to Advance Auto to check my battery because my car wouldnt start (when it was cold). Advance said the battery was good....car wouldnt start again one morning and called Firestone, had the car towed there. They told me it was defintely the battery....next cold day it wouldnt start and finally someone put dry gas in it and no problem. Firestone charged me over $145 for the battery and diagnostics...BS. Had to get a pressure check to see where the truck was leaking. Dick said he would find exactly where it was leaking fluid by a pressure check( $25). TOld them to go ahead for $25, had someone to fix it if it was a major problem and would cost too much by Firestone. Andrew called back and said they found it and it is a line that goes behind the engine and would most likely need to rethread this line, after it is pulled out. because it usually strips out Told me it would be $286. Told him to forget it, I have some dies and I will fix it and rethread it myself (myself and a friend ). Andrew then said he would do it for $180. Told him if that is the only place it is leaking then fine, fix it. However, I told him specifically, if it is leaking anywhere else to stop and dont fix anything. I specificlly told him that I was not paying $180 and then paying more to have the thing fixed. He said he would stop. He called me back a couple hours later and said he fixed it but he had some other bad news....said it is leaking somewhere else and it would cost another $380. I talked to a mechanic and was told this is complete BS. Firestone purposely tried to (as far as I am concerned) extort more money. Why didnt I tell them to stop at the $386???? Because he already had me for $186 plus the $25 and at this point ,needed to get it fixed. and it was half way done. I could have fixed it myself. (with a freind ....started off with $25). I was totally mislead....would have liked to file with the BBB but, they are not listed. I would stay away...they are a rip off. Is there anything else we can do about bad businesses? read more

Even though they were short staffed and had a line of vehicles in for repair, they took me in and had my tire done in less time than anticipated. Took advantage of a young girl. I sent my 17 year old daughter to have a flat tire fixed, she walked out with a bill of $322. They sold her an air filter and a fuel system cleaning, which total $141, on a car that just had an oil change and service at the dealership. They also charged her $54 for a headlamp and $34 to install it. She called me from the store to ask about the tire, as they tried to sell her a brand new tire, when I asked to speak with the tech/sales person with whom she was speaking he told her "okay, we'll just fix the flat". The receipt states in several places that the charges were authorized, in person, by someone with my first name and a different last name. I called the manager to discuss, he was rude and unwilling to acknowledge that his sales person took advantage of a young girl. read more

I spoke with the manager by the name of Dean to let him know how much I appreciated his team's service I received today. They placed 4 new tires, balanced, and changed oil within an hour from the time my wife and I arrived. I chose that store because they beat all competitors prices. The service was awesome. I called them about replacing a freeze plug in my truck. They said they don't do that. I went in the other day for a new tire. I carried my tire there hoping they would change it faster since they are always so slow. While I was there I asked why they don't change freeze plugs and they stated they do that. So I said, "Well I called and you said you don't do that" and they said, "Yeah we don't do it because some one might have one pop out and blame us for it". I could not believe they said they did and then defended their comment from the phone call. In case you don't know a freeze plug is just a metal disc that has to be pushed into the side of the engine. If it freezes it is suppose to push out and prevent further damage to the engine block. I would have done it my self, but I figured it was easier for a guy who has a rack and the proper experience and know how so there would be no problems I am not aware of. I just think these guys are a bunch of liars and are only looking out for themselves. read more

I ordered two tires from tirerack.com and had them delivered to my local service center. The estimated shipping was 4days so by day 6 I'm curious to why no one had called me to tell me they were in. I called Fstone and was hung up on being placed on hold. When I called back and asked they said they weren't in. So it was too late to call tirerack so I called them the next day. Tirerack said that they were delivered in the Nashville warehouse a few days ago and should of already been delivered. They checked with the warehouse and they said it was either out for delivery or already there. So I called Fstone, maybe they hadn't gotten a chance to call me yet, same thing for hung up on twice being placed on hold told they weren't there or probably had them sent to wrong address. So I give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it's out for delivery. A few days so by and I'm growing concered/pissed. Not only has it been raining in Nashville for 4 days nonstop I've spent $400+ on some tires to keep me from sliding everywhere and everytime I call I get hung up on and told wrong store or not here. Now I'm furious I call tirerack and I am like, "Find my tires now! " They transferred me to another department who was able to tell me not only have they been at the correct fstone they were signed for 9days ago and even gave me the name of the technician who signed for them. Now I'm more pissed because I've not only gotten rude with tirerack who did nothing wrong, I now have to call the same Fstone. This time with new information. Got told they weren't there and I said we'll that's odd because on Dec 9th so and so signed for them and that was 9 days ago so where are my tires?!? The girl straight hung up on me. Then when I called back I got a different service writer, who I explained everything to as I have in this review, he said yeah they are here, I said "when was someone going to call me? " He replied with they just came in yesterday..... Really. We're going to play that game? I just told you who signed for them 9 days ago! He starts getting defensive and saying we'll they are here so come get them. I said I better be first in line when I get there. So I arrive, tell them two new tires go on back(rear wheel drive truck) best two tires out of the 4 current tires, put on front balance all 4tires, and do and alignment. They did not balance front tires or the alignment. They charged me for the installation of the tires(despite their dropping of the ball) and I was waiting over an hour in lobby, for only partial work I asked them to do. I priced no alignment on the ticket, but by this point I just wanted to leave. So the next day when I'm going to work I have a terrible shake in the front end of my vehicle when I get above 50 mph. I was so furrios because I knew that it was from the wheels being out of balance. I used to be a service writer and a technician for Nissan. Anytime we dropped the ball at Nissan we made it right someway some how. This is not the business practice At this fstone on Murfreesboro Rd. I will never go back here I hope they shut this location down. I don't even know if a change in management would even fix they damage caused by the incompetent crew at this location. I will say this the Firestone on oldhickory Blvd does good work and so does the one in Memphis. The ones in Memphis got me right when I got down there. No more shaking and I got a lifetime alignment deal. They said the shaking was due to the front tires having no wheel weights on them and were not balanced. read more
