Lady at the front was kind and car was serviced properly. However I was told a few things about my car that made me lose trust in them such as them informing me my oil was dirty and my "vehicle inspection summary" showing my engine and cabin air filters were dirty. I do my own oil changes religiously every 5k miles and also recently changed both my air filters. To their credit, they did not pressure me to get these done which I appreciated. The biggest thing was that I was not told that the tire warranty was included and got charged the extra $100 when I didn't want it nor was I asked. Luckily, I had looked at the work order and saw the line item and had to ask for the refund since I did not care to have the warranty. When asking for the refund the gentleman inquired "are you sure?". Unfortunately, felt like him pressuring me and felt scummy trying to get me to pay for something I didn't need or want. However, after confirming, the amount was refunded without issue. Overall service was nice and the lady at the front was nice. Service took a bit longer than expected but not a big deal to me since I expected as much. My son took his car there because it was shaking all over the road. They said they didn't feel anything that the car was fine and charged him $10. I drove the car it was shaking. We took it to a real mechanic and he found the back two tires were bad and one of the rims was bent. Obviously they never even looked at it. It could have been dangerous on the highway. I gotten a flat tire just made it to Firestone when I walked it I asked the guy if they would either plug my tire or put air in my tire it would only take 5 minutes they told me no they couldn't do it and they had 3 other cars ahead of me well I'm sitting in my car and this truck parks all of a sudden I see the guy come out of Firestone and look at the guys car but they have other people there full of crap they wouldn't help me that's messed up just leave a woman stranded nice peopl working for that company read more

My vehicle broke down on I-84 West in PA. I had to have it towed to Firestone. I explained I was driving cross-country and needed the water pump replaced. They got on it first thing the next morning and it was completed by 10:00 am. I spoke with Chris (General Manager) when I first arrived. He was all over it. He had Dennis come in so I could explain what I needed done as Chris wouldn't be there the next day. Nice staff and they turned the vehicle around quickly. I would highly recommend them. read more

Stopped in yesterday (6/4/14) with a slow leak in my Passenger side rear tire, probably ran over a screw or nail...it was 5:50pm, both tire centers in town (STS and Midas) were not able to help me (either the techs have all clocked out well before closing time, or they already shut down the air compressors etc....around 5:30pm) Walked into Firestone and was greeted by a very nice service manager who took great care of me, and got my tire repaired in literally no time. I was traveling southbound on Hwy 206 in NJ on Sunday, April 10, 2016 when I received a tire pressure alert on my 2012 Nissan Rogue at 1640. I was traveling from Milford, PA to my home in Ocean (Asbury Park), NJ - a two-hour drive - when I stopped at the Exxon station at the intersection of Hwys 206 and 15 to check my tires. I immediately heard my front driver-side tire hissing and noticed what appeared to be a nail mid-tread in my tire. The time was now 1645 on a Sunday. The station attendant told me that there was a Firestone dealer nearby who might be open. I looked up the info on my iPhone, noticed that the hours posted were until 5 PM that day, and called. A representative told me they were open but were scheduled to close at 5 PM. I explained my situation to him and he immediately instructed me to drive to the store where they would take care of me (it took me five minutes). I arrived at about 1655. When I arrived at the store I was greeted at the door and my car rolled into the bay. I was treated courteously and professionally. Due to my misfortune, I was keeping three gentlemen from enjoying what was left of their Sunday. But they didn't act like it. I saw no sad faces, no looks of being put out, no evidence of impatience. Instead, they treated me kindly and took care of me in under thirty minutes. I left at 17:25 with a fully-repaired tire and ease of mind as I continued my trip home. In today's hectic business environment, it has become all too easy for service organizations to forget the word service. The staff at Firestone Complete Auto Care in Newton, NJ took the time to help me when I needed it and treat me like the most important person in the world at that time. Their staff exemplifies what it means to provide a service - and service with a smile, at that! They are to be commended for their work ethic, their customer care and their professionalism. They do great credit to themselves, to Firestone Complete Auto Care, and to the company itself. I also see, from looking on Yelp, that this is not the first time their establishment has come to the last-minute aid of a traveler in distress. Bravo! They have a habit of ripping off female drivers who do not know much about cars, my daughter went through it a few months ago and today my wife had a similar experience. I've been here a few times and I don't know why I keep going back they are totally incompetent and going here has cost me way more money than needed. They've "fixed" my car with the wrong parts a couple times and even severely damaged my car on one occasion, though they did admit to it and fixed it. They also waste a lot of my time, promising they will have the parts to fix my car on a certain day then calling up and saying it might be a week later or they forgot to order a part when I asked and confirmed that parts would be delivered. I have to take off of work to drop my car off since repairs take a day or two! THIS IS COSTING ME MONEY. Good news and bad news. Car broke down on Sunday afternoon, July 3rd. They worked heroically but unsuccessfully for nearly 2 hours and didn't charge me a penny. Of course the bad news is the didn't actually fix the car. Toyota said they had a hard time finding the problem and that it couldn't have been fixed without specialized Toy equipment. Yea, crazy to give a 5 star review to someone who didn't even fix the problem...but the service was gracious and did I mention that Toy was closed on Sunday afternoon, July 3rd and Firestone got the key to tow driver and all in all minimized my effort with no charge. I called around to a few places pricing two tires and an oil change and also how soon I could get it done. I had myself set at Mavis for tomorrow but I really needed it done today. I called Firestone and spoke to Lou and told him what I needed and that I really needed it done today and I told him I could get there in 30-40 minutes and he said he would get me right in and it would take no MORE than an hour -hour 15 minutes . I asked him more than once if I could really get right in, and he said yes again (I am coming from HIGHLAND LAKES) and I left immediately. I got there in less than a half hour gave all my information handed my keys over and said OK so about an hour hour and 15 minutes? And the guy looked at me as if I had ten heads and said "If we're lucky!". And I said well wait this is why I came here, I had an appointment elsewhere for cheaper and I came here right away because Lou said he would get me in right away. This guy then went and looked at his garage and said No I have one in front of you, it's going to take at least a half hour to get you in. And I said ok So how long and he said realistically? As if I wanted a fake answer ??? Yes realistically , and he said two hours . Which I'm assume means much more than 2 hours given the attitude he said it to me. I do not have 2 hours to sit here as I told them on the phone and walked out. I understand that if it's going to take 2 hours, there is nothing I can do about that, but why would you lie to me on the phone about how long it's going to be? I specifically said i have things to do and to go to the bank and cash my paycheck and didn't mind paying more because of the convienence of getting it done quickly . I made it clear time was a factor and I am so absolutely aggravated that I drove all the way over here for nothing. I now have to sit here and try and find somewhere to do this for me or in under an hour or have completely wasted a trip to Newton on my day off on a spare tire that is going flat. Absolutely terrible customer service and business. The guy at the counter didn't even attempt to apologize or try and get me to stay or not have a furious customer walk out the door. Thank God I kept my appointment with Mavis who was honest with me and risked losing my business to tell me the honest truth that it would take too long today and tomorrow would be better. read more

I'm going to give this firestone a perfect grade. THANK GOD I can charge my auto repairs! Even if other places accepted credit I'd still go to this firestone. It's very expensive,but that's what happens when qualified people work for big chain auto repair companies! I wish it was a little cheaper and the apr would be a bit more reasonable!! 45 minutes later and still hadn't touched my car for my scheduled appointment; not even a word as to what was taking so long. You should know I'm a pretty reasonable and understanding guy so if they would've let me know about a scheduling problem I would've rescheduled or left to wander one of the many stores in the vicinity. So...I just moved from Camp Pendleton CA and needed routine maintenance on my vehicles, but today I only had time for a tire rotation for the car. I was told it wasn't a busy day so I scheduled the appt. for this afternoon, told them I'd wait, and I arrived on time. I turned in my keys and sat down in the lobby facing the parking lot where I was able to see my car and vehicles entering and exiting the garage. 15 minutes pass... then 20... then 30... then 40... then finally 45 minutes and not a word to me from anyone and yet there my car remained, sitting in the parking lot where I left it, as other cars came in the garage and left while I sat there for a scheduled appointment. A scheduled appointment for a tire rotation. It doesn't take long to rotate tires; it's even quicker when you have a lift and pneumatic tools. So why hadn't anyone come to let me know what was going on? No idea, I thought that's what customer service folk did. Why was I waiting so long? Well I have my suspicions...I bought the lifetime tire care package, for both my vehicles, so this would just be Firestone honoring the money I already paid and they weren't going to get any more money off me today. I wish I could go back in time and not make those purchases. So after 45 minutes I went to customer service and demanded my keys back, at which time a gentlemen investigated and a few minutes later returned to tell me that my car was next. Imagine that. I told him not to bother, to give me my keys, and to cancel my appt for my truck later this week (it was for more than just a obligated/pre-paid tire rotation). I'm sure I can find other places that will treat me, my time, and my money better. If not, I guess I'll be doing a lot of DIY maintenance. Two mistakes on initial visit that made me not trust them nor ever want to bring my car back to the Newton NJ Firestone: during an oil change, they told me that my battery is failing even though my car is fairly new, less than 2 years old. Luckily the dealership is only 5 minutes down the same road; I go there to see if a battery is under warranty. The dealership checked my battery, gave me a printed report with all passing results and told me I'm the third person this week from Firestone who had a "failed" battery that wasn't true. Also, the dealership mechanic pointed out that the Firestone oil change sticker stated 3,500 miles before the next oil change but if they used full synthetic oil, which my vehicle requires, then it should state 7,500 miles. Odd, I asked for a full synthetic oil change at the very start of my Firestone appointment and I stressed that since I already knew my car does not take regular oil. Turns out Firestone put a cheaper blended oil that cannot be used in my new car (even though I told them NOT to) and told me my battery is failing (even though the dealership said its in perfect condition)-those are the reasons I will never trust Firestone with my car. When I went back to Firestone, I calmly explained what the dealership mechanic stated. Firestone did say they will check the battery machine and re-did the oil change by giving me the full synthetic without paying for the difference of blended vs synthetic. I believe they resolved it as fairly as they could after the fact, but overall, I'm a pissed off customer because I had to spend two hours at Firestone, then 45 minutes at the dealership to find out everything Firestone did wrong and then another 45 minutes at Firestone for them to redo my oil change. Had my dealership not been close by, I may have been jipped without realizing. Ironically there's a sign inside Firestone that says Honesty is their fundamental policy. Ok, I will give them the benefit of a doubt they were not intentionally being dishonest. Maybe Firestone's battery check machine malfunctioned as opposed to them running an ongoing scam telling people to buy batteries they don't need. Either way, their mistakes still cost them a customer's trust. As a female, I feel like it's extra hard to find a trustworthy auto shop that won't take advantage of car knowledge but I will look elsewhere; I refuse to do business with an auto shop I can't trust. By the way, I'm posting this same review on the Firestone website because they asked for me to rate my experience. If it's not posted on their website, that's an additional reason I would not trust Firestone. read more

You have to be crazy to take your car to this site. They don't back up their repairs. First issue car is overheating. I took the car to a trans specialist on Firestrone's recommendation he couldn't look at it for three days. After three days of car rentals, it was determined Firestone put too much fluid in the transmission. Sons car gets oil change they forget to put dip stick back. Last event sons car overheats I take it to Firestone they put new radiator in car overheats on his first 150 miles take it back needs new water pump and they need to remove timing chain to replace water pump. Car is old any repairs above the $700 it would not have been repaired. I've been going there for 15 years and the last two years have been a living hell dealing with this location. Other than an oil change I wouldn't bring a tricycle to them. Make sure you check for your dip stick if they change your oil. Gave my son a $346.10 credit on bill over $710 on a repair I would not have agreed to if they evaluated the problem correctly. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION. read more

A great place to take your vehicle. I take my Audi here and they are always fast and great with oil changes and do great professional work. Recently had to tow my car here and they took a look at it all day and to the next found the problem and referred me to Newton Audi which was the only problem. Firestone did all that work for no money so I would certainly choose their customer service over dealerships that charge you a flat fee just to breathe.
