Very recently, I had a tire replacement and alignment job done on my minivan at the Firestone Northridge, Californiay. The store manager Lawrence Carmel greeted me. He was sincere and courteous, explained everything to me that I need to know. The tire selection was great with competitive prices. The work quality was excellent and Very fast (both the replacemet and alignment took 2 1/2 - 3 hours in total). After I left my van with them, I walked across the street to a shopping mall. In no time, they called me to let me know my van was ready for pickup. At first I came to them by a family referral, but now, I became a patron myself. Last November I had a set of four new mail-order tires installed at the Northridge Firestone Complete Auto Care store. Yesterday morning one of the two front tires developed a blister on the sidewall, and so my wife and I took it to the store to learn whether it could be repaired or would have to be replaced. Tire manager Karina Paraz was extremely helpful to us. Not only was she able to determine that the tire had to be replaced, but she contacted the company that issued the road hazard warranty for us, and explained the situation to one of their claims adjusters. She also mounted a spare tire that we had kept when we had the set of new tires installed. She also helped us place an order for the replacement tire. And she also took photographs of the damaged tire so that we could send them to the warranty adjuster. Karina did all of this in a very brief amount of time yesterday afternoon. We received an email this morning telling us that our warranty claim had been approved. Without Karina's assistance yesterday, we would very likely still be dealing with the warranty company. Store manager Larry Carmel was also very helpful to us in arranging for the mounting of the original set of mail-order tires and for getting out car re-aligned quickly. I've been here off an on in the past 20 years but my last trip didn't make me happy at all. I went in for a flat tire and was politely told that because I used flat fix, a new tire was mandatory. Also, the position of the nail (close to the edge of the tire) confirmed a new tire. Lets just say that somebody else repaired my tire for 15.00 and it is working just fine. read more

I had to come in to get the nails out but ended up getting some new tires since it was nearing that time. Larry recommended what the best ones would be for me and was able to work out some credits. His suggestions were honest and wanted me to be informed about my car. I had just come from my dealer after getting an oil change and some of the issues they noted, Larry did as well. I didn't have an appointment but they were still able to accommodate me. Even a few years back when my tires were beyond flat they had accommodated me. Since my new tires had to be tracked down and retrieved from a different location. Larry asked if I needed a ride home. I had no clue at that time that it would be a while so I had ordered some food for the family. He had one of his associates, Claudia take me home. I did ask if it'd be a problem if we could stop by to pick up the food and both of them were totally alright with that. That definitely was very nice of them! This was my second time receiving service at this location. Excellent the first time and excellent again. My BMW X5 has been out of warranty for 2 years. Firestone conducted the work quickly (oil change, alignment, and fog lamp replacement). Normally this would have been a full day at the dealership. But most important, I saved about 30%. I should have gone to Firestone as soon as my warranty expired. Larry Carmel is an excellent manager. I trust him fully. read more

I took my car in yesterday and the issue was fixed the same day. A diagnostic was provided to and they made sure I authorized the work before doing any of the work. I had a reading of the engine codes the day before, so when the same codes were ready to me by this Firestone, I knew I could trust them. The car runs great. Larry, Giovanni, and the technician (I'm sorry, I did not catch his name), were all very friendly and helpful. I took my newly purchased BMW 550i here to put on some black M Series rims and new Pirelli tires and I brought it to this location based upon their positive reviews. I thoroughly conveyed my worries of employees beating up my car, and that if it needed to be driven, please have the manager do it. After I dropped the car off I went home and later recieved a call saying they had put the tires and wheels on but all of my wheels were magically bent. He told me to come in and i intentionally got there 15 min early and to my horrors i arrive to see one of their gang banger employees racing my $90,000 car (with bent wheels) up and down Balboa Blvd. When i confronted the employee, he said "What dawg, you act like its faster than mine". This was the worst experience i have ever had at a wheel and tire place! I work way to hard to have my property abused by some street thug. I recieved no discounts or compensation of any sort. If you care about your vehicle, avoid this place at all costs! Yelp needs to allow you to choose zero stars! read more

After a great weekend in LA, my friends and I were driving back home to Fresno. We were going North on the 405 when my low-air tire light came on. It was late Sunday around 5:30. After trying to put air in our tire at a gas station and realizing that the tire was unfixable, we searched for a tire shop. Most were closed. When we pulled in to the Firestone shop, they were closing down their doors. I talked to Lawrence the store manager and he agreed to stay open after hours to help us. Luckily they had the run-flat tires I need for my BMW. I asked him to change both of my back tires. (Their location is also great because it's across the street from a shopping center with restaurants and coffee shops) We ate dinner across the street while we waited and after 45 minutes we were on our way back home with 2 brand new tires. We were so thankful and grateful for their understanding, patience and their willingness to stay open after hours. I couldn't be any happier with their service. read more

I purchased my tires for my full size pick up at this location about almost two years ago. I was wise enough to buy the protection as well. I ran over a screw that appeared to have gone into my tire. I took my truck to this location and the staff and service Manager- Giovani Rodriguez was happy to help me out. He personally helped his worker check the tire and confirmed that the screw did not pierce the tire.I also had the tires rotated and surprisingly they honored my purchase even from that date since I had never gone in and had that done. I was not charged anything for their rapid and great service. The very next day my tire sensor light indicator on my dashboard lit up. I thought this could possibly be due to the quick weather change (cold) , but I noticed the light did not go out in a couple of days and returned to Firestone again. I again was greeted by the Service Manager, who very happily got right on it and checked out the tire pressures all around. What really surprised me was that he personally took care of this himself and what was more surprising is that after checking all the tire pressures the problem he recognized as being a low spare tire. He took care of this in short order and sent home another very satisfied customer. I told Service Manager-Giovani Rodriguez that I was very pleased with his service and even told him that I would recommend him and this business to others.
