While in traffic, I became aware that my right brake light was out. Wanting to avoid getting a ticket, I decided to swing into this location based on previous positive experiences from years ago. I talked to Trevor at the front desk, who was super polite, professional and helpful. He was also very honest, as it turns out. He could get me in, he said, and change out the bulb, but, for as easy a job as it would be (my car is an older, simpler model), he suggested I could go to Autozone (where they get some of their parts) and buy a bulb and have them pop it in for free. I was impressed with his honesty, which is a rare find these days when it comes to car repair. I ended up spending $10 at O' Reilly's and was good to go in 15 minutes. Some might say Trevor should have worked to keep me there, but actually he was smart to send me elsewhere and be honest because 1) he didn't waste precious labor time on a bulb that could be spent on more profitable car issues with other customers, and 2) he did something that went miles in building trust with a customer. Now, I will think of Firestone for my next set of tires, or a brake job, or fluid change. That's a win-win situation. read more

They are very accommodating. Had a car towed in with a dead battery and they were able to take care of it. They recommended some extra work but didn't try to force it on me. We've been here before for another car and they were great then too. Had to knock off a star because when we picked up the car the salesman, not the same person I got the quote from, didn't seem too enthusiastic. Everything else was perfect. read more

Shoutout to Travis thank you so much for taking my car in last minute and helping me out!! I went to the buckeye location and had a pretty bad experience one of the tires they replaced not even a week ago was leaking from the compressor valve but here was much better service and they actually listened to me and my concerns about the car. We went to Buckeye and asked for two tires to be replaced and for the alignment to be readjusted all they did was replace the two tires and didn't even do an alignment. My Volvo needed a tune up , oil change and a tire rotation & I feel like I hit the Jackpot with this venue. The service was very respectful, kind and even offered a coupon ..it wasn't valid until 24 hours later, therefore ,waiting to put in my order later , so I could get the discount on my bill. I took my wife's car to this Firestone location to have a new set of tires put on the front wheels. I did not purchase the tires from Firestone, only utilized them to mount and balance the tires. The car has expensive aftermarket wheels and ultra low profile tires, and it is unfortunately far too easy to scrape the outside wheel lip on a curb when parallel parking or going through a pharmacy drive through for example. As a result, both front wheels had gotten pretty badly scraped up over the 4 years we've owned the car and I finally had them professionally refinished and clear coated to make "good as new" less than one week before going to Firestone. As a result of the car rarely being driven, the wheels were still in perfect "like new" condition on the day I dropped the car and tires at Firestone. They were NOT in "like new" condition when I returned to pick the car up, and had several gouges in various places on the lip of the wheels. An employee came out to look at the wheels with me and agreed that they were damaged. So the assistant manager came out, who was very polite, called the store manager and took photos. He told me they had a wheel repair person that they worked with, that they would make it right, and that the store manager would call me after he got in, by 9:30am the next day. I trusted that they would do what they said they would do, paid full price and left. That call never came. When I called the store that afternoon to speak with the manager, I re-explained everything. He knew exactly who I was and went into full on deny mode, telling me they didn't touch the wheels in that area, that there's no way they could have done that damage to the wheels and refusing to make things right. I received a customer service survey email from Firestone that day asking me about my visit. I explained everything that happened in that survey and received a response that they take customer service matters seriously and someone would reach out to me in 2-3 days to discuss my issue. That outreach never came. Probably would have cost them a couple hundred to repair the damage they did to my wheels and I never would have written this, but instead the store manager immediately got an attitude on the phone, made inappropriate insinuations and Firestone subsequently disregarded me and my issue. I took my car into the Firestone one month ago. There was a hard shutter whenever I was driving it, and the check engine light and the AT alert came on. Asked for a full inspection so I could figure out what I was going to do. Long story short, they told me about screws loose from the engine mount. The struts need to be redone and coils and I said fine which amount is $2700. They did the work. But as soon as I drove my car it started having the same hard shutter problems. They did another inspection came back out and go, oh, you have transmission problems, and we don't fix transmissions here. They knew there was a transmission problem when I asked for the first full inspection. They just declined to tell me, to make money. I would've salvage the car if I knew there was a transmission issue. read more

I came in and specifically asked them to replace one thing that I already had checked out. They called the next day and said my battery was dead and I needed a new battery and some other things I knew were wrong. I informed them that my battery was new and had a full charge on it when I brought my car in. Since they said my battery was dead, it was too late to chance moving the car so I had to pay them more than another quote I got. I will not be going back to Firestone. read more

I brought my Mazda to firestone to get the alternator replaced. They finished after hours ( dusk). I realized the next morning that the hood was bent as well as the fender. I went back to them immediately and filed a claim with them. I then got an estimate from a reputable repair shop ($2794.00) and emailed it to them. The repair shop said that a wrench was left on the fender when they closed the hood denting the fender and bending the hood and bracket. About a month later ( after talking to several people in corporate) I was told to prove it and that they wouldn't do anything about it. DO NOT USE THEM. THEY ARE DISHONEST! read more

So in this day of auto repair shops this might be one of the worse in Arizona if not in the entire Country. The has been 3 different management and service staffs here since 2011.....I know this because I have been coming here since the place opened. The previous 2 management and service staffs were very good but this current group are completely incompetent. So a month or so back I met one of the new manager's his name is Don. I was told at that time that most every service they would be performing would be performed more efficiently and in a timely manner if you made an APPOINTMENT. Now while this seemed unusual for Oil Changes I understood that fact for other services. So with that in mind I went online on Sunday December 11 to request an appointment For Friday December 16. I was very specific in requesting that I needed Rear Differential service but upon an Oil Change at another location I was told they couldn't check the Rear Differential level because they couldn't get the plug unscrewed. I didn't receive a call from anyone until Wednesday December 14 from the other manager who's name is Paul. Initially he wanted me to bring my truck in on the 21st of December because he thought I wanted an Oil Change (REALLY). Only after I explained to him what I ACTUALLY needed done did he realize that he was looking at the wrong queue or some excuse I can't really recall. I asked him did he see the request I submitted because I specifically asked if they had a tool or equipment to get the plug off since that was my primary concern. I was told by PAUL that YES they could get the plug off.....and then he confirmed my appointment for 8am Friday Dec 16. So I arrive at 8am on the dot.....I am greeted by Don not Paul because he was in the Shop area. Don was able to pull up my appointment.....quoted me the total for the service and took my keys......All Good Right? WRONG. Don informed me he had to call out for the gasket (Strike one) and I told him " well I don't understand why because the purpose of me setting the appointment days in advance was so you guys would have everything you needed when I arrived. He said it wouldn't take long and I was fine with that. A few minutes pass and he calls me over to his office (Strike 2) because he should have walked over to me.....I am the customer by the way.....to talk to me about the gasket again. He tells me "well Dre I can usually eat the cost of the gasket when it is 10 bucks or so but your gasket is going to cost like 37 bucks" I was like well this is AGAIN why I made an appointment so I would've known about this ahead of time because I could have bought my own gasket on Amazon for much cheaper. He then explained to me that they could make a silicon gasket for me and that would resolve the issue and I was fine with that. So after a couple of hours Don calls me to the desk to talk to me about the plug (Strike 3). He asked me if the truck came from back east etc......and I told him yes it came from Chicago but it has been here in AZ for almost 7 years now. Well he explained that I would need a new plug and that would cost me an additional 14 bucks and I explained to him that was why I even brought the truck in to begin with. I asked him if he had talked to Paul or was that information not in their system under my appointment information. He said he had not and he would not have told me he could get the plug off until he actually saw the truck. So I agreed to let him install the new plug once he got the old one off. I was told it would be another 45 minutes for that. So after about 5 hours or so they finally finished servicing my truck and while I was not charged in the end for the plug....I was still out of about 80 bucks. This total was not unusual considering I had a rewards credit I used (program no longer exists as of September of this year). Also I have to mention why I was waiting all this time I overheard several conversations between Don and some very unhappy customers. Example being: one customer they ordered the wrong converter for his car.......another customer complained they had put the wrong belt on.....and yet another was unhappy over a tire issue.....WOW!!!!!! Paul did come and talk to me around 12:45pm.....remember I came in at 8am.....to apologize for my wait And inform me that the plug would arrive any minute. Now he didn't charge me for the plug and I even got a free future Oil Change out of the deal. He admitted that he may have misunderstood what I was trying to tell him since I explained it to him again when he walked over to let me know about the plug......but I still had to write this negative review. My entire morning and part of my afternoon had been taken up because of incompetence and I won't be returning here in the Future. Eat, Drink, and be Merry my Friends!!!!!! read more

I have been coming here for the past 6 months to get an oil change every two months. I have asked each time to check the brakes because every time I slowed down it would have a horrible vibration and metal grinding sound. I took it in a week ago for another oil change and asked them again to check the brakes. I was told that the sound was the inside flap that broke loose and was rubbing the tire. I asked if the brakes were fine and was told yes. They also tried to tell me that my front tires were 80% worn down, it was a brand new tire!! I've had several locations check it and all agreed the tire was perfectly fine. They are crooks. I will never go back here again. Nice people but I came in for a simple oil change, left and when I got home I saw a line of oil from my car. This is something that should not occur with an oil change from a garage. I've never had this happen even when I change my own oil and I am not a good car guy. Things happen now and then I get it but this is something that should have easily been seen. I just got word that the mechanic broke the filter housing. Now I have to wait another hour and a half for them to receive the part. Do not come to this garage. It is ridiculous. Make sure you read the 'fine print' since Groupon and the location let you know of 4x4 and other up charges ahead of time. Great Groupon got me oil change tire balance/rotation and a complete single axle brake job for $69. Upcharges brought about $75 more out of pocket, but you'd pay more than that $144 just for the brakes alone. Long and short of it is, this place is the real deal. read more

What was once my favorite mechanic shop has turned into a faceless, unfriendly place. I met Cory there and he was a great manager. He would help and he was friendly and very true to his word. Him and Larry were good ole boys that I could trust and now there is new people there who "don't know if I can get to it" [oil change] if I leave my car there all day. I was very upset that this place has spiraled downward to just another overworked, overcharging and unfriendly shop. I liked this place so much I would bring them pizzas when I picked up my car. If I could give a ZERO, I would. I was going in for surgery and the afternoon before, I had a doctors appointment and had my mom's car as it is easy for me to drive. I came out and the battery was dead. I got it jump started and called Firestone and was told to bring it in. I got there and it was the manager, Lj Launer and one technician. The manager said it would be 45 minutes before they could start to put in a new battery in my car. I had to have my mother have her friend bring her down so I could finish getting ready for surgery. He told her also it would be 45 minutes before they could start. The tech would take care of other cars coming in and when mom asked why, the manager LAUGHED at her . When she said he told me and her it would only be 45 minutes to get to the car, he said to her that he never said that. He outright lied to her. She was there for 3 HOURS and when they did get to her, they put in the battery in 5 minutes and didn't bother even cleaning it off. The manager told me that the battery would be $59 yet he charged me $159!! He treated my 89 year old mother so rude that I am never ever going back there! He lied to her, laughed to her face and kept her waiting 3 hours when she was there before others came in and they took care of them before her. I cannot believe a manager would treat a customer this way. I am so upset about this that I will report this also to the BBB. read more

Buyer beware! I came in with a screw in my tire. The screw was in the middle of the tread and easily reparable (I do a lot of driving and have to have tires repaired a couple times a year unfortunately) and that was also verified by the Bridgestone employee that's checked me in. This should have been an easy, routine service. 4 hours later I came in to get my car and they told me that unfortunately it couldn't be repaired. That because I had driven on it with low pressure, it caused the sidewall to tear when they tried to repair it. 1. I drove 5 miles from the time the light came on. 2. There was 25psi in the tire when I dropped it off to them 3. There was no wear mark to indicate it had been driven for an extended period of time to cause this to happen. When I questioned the manager, he said he would sell me a tire at his cost but that there is NO WAY this was their error or that anything had occurred by mistake. I knew it could happen as it has just happened at Discount on my last repair. Things happen, people are human. I get it. But discount owned the mistake and replaced the tire. I asked the manager at Bridgestone to put the spare on let me leave. Nothing about this situation felt good and I wasn't going to spend money there if I didn't have to. My husband has been in the car business for 30 years, he verified that there would be a wear mark if I had driven for an extended period of time, plus I've been trained not to do things like that. :) the next day, I went back to Discount, they also verified there would be proof of a wear mark/ring if I had driven on it with low pressure long enough to cause that damage. Shady business practices are still out there and unfortunate. I will be a loyal Discount Tire customer for life because of this experience at this tire shop. Groupon Groupies Beware!!!! Good luck getting a simple oil change at this location. I'm cheap so I want to use my Groupon for 3 oil changes. First they ask that you call in first thing each day in the morning which i did, several times, same answer "were booked" but if you drop your car we will get to it. So I finally decided to drive there and drop my vehicle off, this time the guy said, oh, we are not taking any more today. WTF? So I asked how long does it normally take if they do take my car. Answer: 1 to 3 hours. Really? for an Oil Change? BTW I drive a car not a Semi. Hopefully Groupon can refund my $$ from this jokers. read more

My initial experience about 2 years ago was great. Handled a Toyota and Saturn nicely with good pricing. Unfortunately after my last experience, I do not intend to go here again. I came in with a noise at speed (30mph+) which they agreed would likely be a wheel bearing. After three days of saying they couldn't get to it, they said they replaced it and the noise didn't go away. They would need the car for another day. They called at the end of that day and said they were still waiting on parts. They finished the next day in the morning and fixed one other issue. However the noise continued. I ended up taking it to a dealer and they replaced the wheel bearing - noise gone - all in a day. The dealer also told me that my brakes needed some adjustment to not pulse whereas Fletcher's had said the brakes were fine. I liked the guys and they were friendly enough. It just seems that didn't have the time, expertise with my vehicle and/or the desire to really provide the service necessary. Fletcher's has convinced me that saving money is not worth the time, effort or sub-standard service you get. read more

So I ended up taking my truck to Firestone and purchased the lifetime alignment on 7/3 as I had made some adjustments on my suspension. Firestone had issues with getting it aligned, so they told me to come back on 7/14. Again they couldn't correct the problem and rescheduled with another tech on 7/20. Said they would get it right Thai time. The 7/20 appointment was disappointing as well as the tech was not experienced with aligning trucks. At this point I've already wasted 4 hours total. I came back on 7/21 and spent another 1.5 hrs with a supposedly ASE alignment tech. This time FS said they got it corrected, and the alignment was still off! The FS at Paradise Valley sent me to Cave Creek where they spent time isolating the problem. Turns out they needed to adjust the inner tie rod to correct the problem. I'm still baffled as to why did it take so long to figure this out as supposedly FS at PV location had ASE mechanics specifically around alignment? Why can't they just say we can't align it correctly? To say the least I'm disappointed with taking so long and wasting time on both my end and FS, but happy the FS at Cave Creek spent the time to address the problem and fixed it correctly. read more

We took our Jeep Commander into these folks, based on shopping around. We looked at everyone and for tires, they were absolutely the lowest. The location was amazingly clean and well layed out. They had the biggest tire selection in the area. They were running a special to include 4 free oil changes too! If all this wasn't enough, we went in and requested the wrong tire size, they cautioned us and installed them as requested. Then we realized they were rubbing and went back and they immediately without any questions changed them to what they should have been. The service we received was amazing, best I have ever gotten for auto repair. Prices were reasonable and the location is very convenient. They get busy, so get there early, but you can't go wrong here. Oh and I shot an email to corporate and Jerry Fletcher Jr. personally responded! I have a new home for all my auto care. read more

Excellent service. Staff is friendly, but not over the top like they're trying to sell you anything. Speaking of selling, they are a soft sell - they give you suggestions of things needed along with a realistic timeframe for budgeting. I used a Groupon for my oil change, and the staff still treated me like I am really a valued customer. I find it common for places to see/hear you have a groupon, and their level of service goes down, but that did not seem to be the case here. I only got two brakes pads done and just because I didn't want to get all four they got mad and purposely took till they closed beside because I didn't have the money to get all four brake pads done. Drove in to town and noticed had the undercover was hanging down. So I look for firestone nearby and this location was only 2 minutes from hotel. I show up at 7 when it opens and tell Oscar what the problem was. He went out and looked at it and came in and said he didn't have the bolts in the store to fix it. He asked if I can come back in an hour so he can order them. I went to breakfast and came back a little after 8. Oscar sees me and comes in and takes my keys and takes my car straight to the garage. I really dislike writing bad reviews, but it was a horrific experience. From the start of walking in, I stood at the front counter for 6 minutes before anyone even greeted me. (keep in mind two employees walked passed during the timeframe) Once someone finally greeted me, the employee asks "what do I need done today", and I explained a basic synthetic oil change. He then asks me to take a seat and 15 minutes later he comes back to tell me it's going to be 54.00 for an oil change. This guy honestly thought he was going to get over on me wow. The key note is I've taken that Car to another location for 2 years, and it's always been 30.00. It was a complete waist of my time and energy. read more
