Came here for an oil change. I ended up leaving with a leak I noticed the following morning. I came back that following day to get it sorted out and end up being there for about an hour while they check for leaks or anything abnormal with the engine since it was leaking oil now... I was told that it's a defect in the oil filter, and after googling, I will accept that as the truth. What bothers me though is the fact the same Oil that leaked out from my engine is still there. Furthermore, the oil that was spilled during my oil change was not wiped up the 2nd time they had my car either. how can you really look for a leak if you don't clean the engine? Why should you return a customer's car with spillage from you in it? Does it not matter because it's not your own personal car? People make mistakes. We are all humans, so I get it my oil change was late in the day and maybe something got missed. But I can't accept something which is part of "procedure" (firestone employee's words, not mine), was missed twice. Cleaning spills in someone's car is common sense and common courtesy. That's a symptom of a much bigger problem and I would really urge people to tread lightly with this place. I had 3 maintenance's in a row with you guys with no issues. However, This experience has been a total paradigm shift. Respect to the salesman at the counter who tried to remedy the problem, but it wasn't his problem to fix and there was no way that would help the situation. He didn't do anything wrong but still tried to help, so props to you whoever worked the counter on 3/13 and 3/14 in the afternoon. That didn't change my overall very lackluster experience though. I don't expect a detailed engine bay, but clean up the mess you make while working on my car or anyone else's car please. Especially when a problem occurs, after the most routine of maintenance. Not a very good look. Quite ridiculous I'm even having to write this, seeing as I've never written a review before. I will be taking my car to the dealer for a CVI on Monday. Walked into Firestone 8/14/25 to get 2 tires mounted on my loose rims around 2 O'clock. (Angel)Manager told me they would have them done that day tires had to be ordered . To my thought probably a couple hours to mount and balance after pomp's or whoever supplies the tires delivers. Called around 5 talked to Andrew. I was told " we will call you when they are done" with a bit of attitude ok brushed it off. Got a call at 6 from Andrew was told the tech is working on the tires and it was missing a hub cap I explained I have the cap in my possession. I initially started to drive because well it pays .25 to mount and balance a loose tire so it should be done my 6:30. Nope, again Andrew's with an attitude told me to wait because they are extremely bussy. I was told only one tire was mounted. I told them to dismount my tires and I would head down the street to discount. Andrew came back said both wheels were mounted. So regardless I would still have to wait to be balanced. Got my rims back and lord behold a big ole scratch and gauge on my brand new rims. The solution wait another week get my rims powder coated. At this point I'm fed up why couldn't they just do the job right the first time and be done. Now I was refunded 120 for a powder coated bit again the paint won't match my front rims. Have to file a case to get my full refund. Something that could have been done right the first time is now taking more than a week to get done. Thanks a lot Firestone! Be cautious! This place is not trustworthy. I brought my car in to fix a single flat tire (which had been newly installed just two months prior), and they quoted me an outrageous $750 to replace all my tires, which were in good condition. The so-called manager even refused to fit my spare tire (donut) for safety purposes and gave me back my car with the tire still flat. This isn't the first time I've had issues here. On a separate occasion, I took my van in for some mechanical work. It had a fully functioning AC when I dropped it off, but by the time I got it back, the AC was malfunctioning. They then had the audacity to quote me $1200 for the repair. I can't tell if they're deliberately causing these problems or if they're just bad luck. read more

Beware! I would not recommend this mechanic to anyone. They were supposed to change the brake fluid on my car, but they only partially completed the job and then asked me to go to the dealer to finish it. They charged me the full amount for the service, but did not offer any kind of apology or compensation for the inconvenience. The customer service was also extremely poor, as I was unable to get in touch with the store manager to discuss the issue. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else for your car repairs. read more

I am not sure what happened to this this place. If the pst they were great. I felt they were honest and always did a great job. Over the past year it has not been the case. Today they are trying to take advantage of people and run up bills as much as possible. Let me give you an example; I brought my car in and they told me I needed a right drivers side wheel bearing. I had a friend do it because they wanted over a 1000 dollars for the job. After my friend took it apart he said NOTHING was wrong with the bearing, but he changed it anyways. Actually to be sage he changed them all. Fast forward 3 months. I took my car in again to have a simple oil change and tires rotated. Guess what? That's right they told me aI need a drivers side wheel bearing and it would cost over $1000. They also said the car is NOT safe to drive. I left because I felt I was being scammed. I took it to the dealership and they told me nothing was wrong with the wheel bearings. I took it to another Firestone and they told me nothing was wrong with the bearings. This is a scam, clearly any older vehicle they inspect they "find" issues with the bearings so they can get a high revenue job. Do NOT GO THERE! I booked an appointment for a tire replacement yesterday at about 2pm to be serviced today at 6pm. Got a call from someone there within 20 min of booking confirming my appointment and went over everything and said it could be done and they would see us then. We got there at exactly 6 and my car was pulled in right away. Waited for about an hour only to be told it couldn't be done today and that he could book us to come in tomorrow. What was the point of booking an appointment then ?? What a waste of time if they knew that it couldn't be done they should have said it the moment we got there not an hour later. Made an appointment for Firestone to fix tire that had a nail. Picked location since I bought my tires here repair would be free. They said fix would take 45-60 minutes, which seemed long. They did try to charge me $30, so had to remind them I bought tires there and they corrected bill. After 75 minutes i looked in bay where my car was. Tire was off car and no one working on it. I asked and he said really busy. He saw I was frustrated and said 15 minutes. Got car after 30+ more minutes, roughly 2 hours total. Once I corrected them it should be no charge it seemed that's when I didn't see anyone working on car. I might be wrong here but sure seems to be a coincidence. Last time there I vowed never to go back after another crazy long wait and long list of items needing repair. After this visit I won't go back. read more

I'd I could give zero stars I would. I called this location asking for help with a spare tire and rim for an rv. I explained explicitly that the RV wheel was a dually and therefore would need a hub type rim. They special ordered the rim and assemble the tire all with no problem. The rim and tire were purchased as a spare. Some Weeks later we experienced a flat tire and had to use the spare. Lo and behold, it was not the right rim. When I called to exchange or return the rim I was told that because it was a special order they could not return the rim. Now I'm sitting on a $200 rim that is absolutely no use to me. read more

Let me just state I have been to other Firestone dealers in other states, and in other cities and have had great experiences. However, I have been there twice for tires. Each time they try to say I need new brakes (even though I replaced my brakes the month before), new shocks, new calibers, new whatever. I just want tires and yet they are checking all kinds of things and claiming they are bad and need to be fixed. I say no thanks, go to my local mechanic who says "nope nothing wrong with those things they said need fixing." I had a warranty claim on one tire, they wouldn't fix it said the warranty didn't cover it. I drove to the next city and the local Firestone dealer took care of it no problem. Lastly, they take forever to put two tires on. Always at least six hour waits so I drop the car off in the morning. I never get a phone call, I end up calling just before the store closes and they said oh yeah it has been done for the last hour. read more

I was told by the Honda dealership and my front breaks needed to be replaced and the rears were close behind. They recommend replacing all of them. I took it to Firestone since they offer lifetime breaks and Rotors. It was the same price as Honda but included lifetime coverage. I was prepared to have front and backs done but as I was waiting for my car I was told the back breaks still had more life in them and I can hold off. Very honest, kind and accommodating when making appointment and during my appointment. Give them a try! People are more likely to leave bad reviews. I've taken a chance with this location several times now. Out of convenience based on location. Latest, I had a slow leak(nail puncture) in rear run flat tire. They said they couldn't fix/repair it because it was too close to sidewall...it was a good 3" from it! To make it worse it was a Saturday and my 1pm appointment got pushed to 3pm as they were busy....I was lucky enough to find a competent and professional team at Discount Tire to not only fit me in, they did it for no charge! read more

I made an appointment online for Monday night. George called to say they couldn't do Monday but could do Tuesday. I said fine no problem, I would be in between 6:15 & 6:30 and was told no problem. I get there around 6:15 and waited for a customer in front of me. When it was my turn Andrew told me they wouldn't be able to help me because they had me for 6:15. Last time I bring my car here. I was here 3 days ago to get my air conditioner fixed, it goes on....goes off....goes on...goes off, sparatically, but happens every single time I drive my car. After sitting here for two hours, then leaving my car here for another 3 hours, they proceed to tell me nothing was wrong with my air and that everything looked fine. They took my car for a little drive and admitted that the air stopped working, yet couldn't figure out how to fix it & charged me about $70 for the check & labor costs. Now I'm here again for a flat tire, which is my fault, but I witnessed something that's inexcusable. I was sitting watching the garage area and one of the service guys (the main sales guy) was backing this woman's car out of the garage, left her driver door open, and proceeded to almost take it off with the side of the garage. *bang* He didn't even tell her about it or apologize. I went to this place for a flat tire replacement. The store associate unloaded the tire from car and took it with him inside the store for checking. He gave me an estimate and told me they don't have the original tire in stock and he'll have to order it. I told him i need it installed today so I'll go to another store to check the availability. Then he just left my old flat tire in front of me and rudely asked me to take it back to my car myself just because he didn't get my business. In my opinion they have inaccurate website appointment scheduling. Set up an appointment for 8am when I can in they said 11am estimate for a flat tire repair. Adequate best describes Firestone. The service is good and you can generally get out of there in a reasonable amount of time. The service writers are not overbearing but be prepared to be sold some sort of a service. But that isn't unlike most tire stores. I have no real praise nor complaint. Don't waste your time stopping here. A simple nail removal in a tire takes an appointment on Tuesday when it's most convenient for them. During 20 minute hold I was on the tire could have been fixed. This location used to be great. Management and staff must have completely turned over. Somewhere within there is a customer service or work ethic issue. I walked in and the man behind the desk said ,will get your car in as soon as we can. Oh that's not a good sign. They did not take my car till five. I understand things happen and cars take longer to repair. But they could've given me a courtesy call and let me know they were running behind an hour. Or better yet,he could've told me when I walked in the door. Then I asked the technician who did my alignment, why it was off so bad and what causes it. He said he doesn't know. This place is absolute shit. My family and I brought our car in that was running fine b4 last night to get a full tune up and breaks all done and everything checked. We spent about 2000. We are about half way to South Dakota and our car broke down on the highway. We called here hoping to get some advice or help or even just help to find a firestone nearby and the woman on staff right now got extremely rude, told us she can ask her manager TOMORROW about it and told us she cannot help us. Do not bring your car here, the firestone we finally just arrived at is telling us it is bc a misfire due to them not gauging the new plugs right and our pistons blew and now we are stuck and our family vacation is ruined bc of this shit home ran place. I repeat, DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. They do not know what they are doing. And now we are at a new firestone in Iowa where we're broken down and they told us this is not the only issue. Now they are saying our coils are toast, HOW THE FUCK DID THIS LOCATION NOT CATCH THESE ISSUES WHEN WE CLEARLY ASKED TO HAVE A FULL EXCEPTION B4 OUR VACATION. They said they are toast because our car was working so hard because our spark plug caused all the misfiring. DO NOT EVER USE FIRESTONE. COORPRATE NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF THIS. THEY CLEARLY ARE NOT TRAINED PROFESSIONALS AND CAUSE MORE AND MORE DAMAGE TO PEOPLES CAR. Took my car in for a check engine light. I was never informed over the phone that I would be charged $100 until I dropped off my car. Was diagnosed with a sensor with a charge of another $300. When I picked up my car, the air filter was not secured and loose. Other bolts were loose and had to be secured. And my check engine light is on again. I would not recommend this place for auto repair. I also don't believe that things were checked as thoroughly as they promised. read more

Just got my oil changed at noon the other day. They were polite on the intake of my vehicle and told me 45min to finish my job. Brought the car in for a brake inspection. Was told I needed front and back brakes plus rotors. Took the car the next day or so to Merlin for a 2nd opinion. Only needed front brakes and pads saved myself plenty of money going to an honest place. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place absolutely ripped me off. Less than one day after a brake job, my car started thumping terribly from the back where the job was done. Took it back in, they said the brakes were fine, but suddenly my springs are broken. Skeptical, I took it to my trusted mechanic (who I really should have gone to in the first place so that's my fault), who confirmed that my springs were shot, but ALSO confirmed that my brakes (the same ones I fixed just days earlier) were installed incorrectly, causing the thump (which remained after the springs were fixed). Had I not taken it in to the other guy and believed Firestone, I could have driven with a failing brake for who knows how long. And mind you, this is after $900+ in so-called "repairs." Go anywhere but here; they see a girl and a few-years-old car and think they can rip you off. Terrible. read more

Honest and reasonably priced!! Highly recommend this place. I've gotten tires here a few times before and came back today after dealership quoted me big $$$ for brake job and told me my ball joint had "play" quoting me over $900 to replace all. Firestone is way cheaper for brake job and told me my ball joint is absolutely fine so no action needed. That was the costlier aspect of the job. Even so, these guys quoted way less to repair if I had needed it but thankfully I don't!! Firestone guy told me he'd rather be honest and have me come back as a return customer. Absolutely!! Some repairs absolutely need to be done at dealership especially the warranty work and I realize the dealership guys may cost more due to unions and certification. I agree with the earlier review about a previous manager. In fall of 2014, I took my vehicle here a few times and did not care for the way he treated me. I was consistently bumped from my scheduled appointment times, and was made to feel like it was my fault. However, I have taken my car back 3 times since Christmas and I love it. The guys that have helped me out each time are awesome and are really good about explaining things to me in a way that I understand (having little to no knowledge about cars). This morning I took my car back in because I thought something was wrong. It turned out to be nothing, but they were still extremely patient, professional, and caring about it. I will not take my car anywhere else. I never feel like I am getting ripped off, and being a single female from out of state, that is my biggest fear when having any work done on my vehicle. I think the correct address is actually on Route 59, not Plainfield/Naperville Road, but either way I'm not happy with them. I was having car trouble and they recommended a tune up. After waiting for 5 hours and paying $824, I get a call the next day to say the "forgot" to put some cleaner in my fuel system and they asked me to bring the car back. Well, that's easier said than done with my schedule so it's been just over a week and I haven't had the time to return to get my service completed. I would think 5 hours (and $824) would get me a job done right, but I was wrong. I won't return for future service. read more

I tried to give this shop more chances that they deserve. Few years ago my mom replaced tires there and the next day tire flew off in the middle of busy intersection. Shop took care of this with no problem. Couple years ago they damaged tire sensor on my son's car and refused to fix it claiming it was broken. They got away with it because he's young and inexperienced and due to my hectic work schedule I didn't want to deal with it. Today we dropped car off for all 4 tires to be replaced. I get a phone call in the afternoon telling me that they broke the key lock and I have 2 options : pay for it or they can use log nuts. I will not pay for something that they broke, they should've notified me if there were difficulties. People there are incredibly condescending toward s females using frases such as "you don't understand", "let me explain this to you ". It's not a rocket since Jack, you're just replacing a tire, I get it. Shop is right down the street from me but I will not give them my business any more. read more

Avoid this place like the plague. Had a wheel bearing replaced and within 50 miles it started making noises. Took it back in to have it looked at and they blamed it on warped rotors. Rotors weren't warped, they were full of it. Fast forward to now, took it to a real shop and I find out wheel bearing is shot, likely due to improper installation. I love firestone. They are always really nice and the store is always clean. When I need repairs they explain everything to me in laymen terms so I understand what needs to be done. They are just really great with their customer service skills and my car is from 2002 so they keep it running for me. read more
