A friend got a set of tires replaced the day before we were heading up north for a weekend getaway. The next morning when she came by to pick me up I noticed one of the tires was very low, almost flat. We called to ask them to replace the tire immediately, as Firestone is several miles in the opposite direction of where we were heading and we were on a tight schedule. We we told we'd be a 'priority'. Instead of replacing the tire and sending us on our way, they meticulously examined the tire to find the leak. The process took over an hour, which really set us back on our trip. My friend had bought the tires, and there was something immediately wrong with them. Any reputable business would have given her another new tire and sent her on her way. In the end we wound up with the same tire, and advice to stop at a rest stop on the way up to make sure it wasn't flat again. I personally don't go to Firestone for tires or other auto work, but this one experience has guaranteed that I never will. read more

VERY friendly service and they give you a good time estimate on when the service will be completed. When I got stuck in Brooklyn with a flat, they looked up the locations for me and worked out some billing issues. If you want a good deal, get and use the firestone card. It not only takes $$$$ off of most services, but it also is 0% for 90 days. Pay if off BEFORE the 90, so you don't get hit with high interest. I get all my oil changes here, battery, brakes, etc. on my Honda Accord. You can check their website for coupons. They'll also mail/email you them. The best deal is the tires. I bought 4 of them here and popped 2 of them a few months later. I was able to go to a firestone in Brooklyn, NY and they changed them. Slow service. I see no purpose in setting an appointment beforehand when I have to expect a long wait time. They bring your car in and work on it intermittently as they switch between other vehicles. I picked out 4 tires on Firestone website. Got my quote and scheduled my appointment online at the same time. The shop called me and explained these are hard to find tires. I told him I am in no rush at all. Take your time locating them. Called me back and said he found them. When I showed at the shop the tires went from $199 each with 60,000 mile warranty to $260 each and no warranty. They said I had to purchase a warranty for $150 or $190. I drove 15-20 miles to have them installed and took day off work. The guy at Firestone said they were not informed of the tire and price I ordered???? I spoke to someone from the shop who did have all the information so he could shop around for them. He did try to sell be a similar tire for light trucks. I explained I purchased the same tire a few years ago and want the same tire installed this time. (new tire is Revo 3 vs Revo 2) He said OK. I took the day off work to get this done. The guy did discount the tire. I paid $232.46 each with NO WARRANTY!. My option was to go home with no tires and waste my day off or pay the extra money. New to the area, I had no idea where to take my car for service, so I went here to Firestone close to my work. My first few experiences were bad and I felt that they were trying to sell me things I didn't need. This tends to be the skepticism of all auto-repair places, right? I had heard negative stories about this Firestone from my coworkers as well. But since then, I have no complaints. It has been about 3 years and I still go back. Their prices are fair, the Firestone Card is convenient, and they recently renovated the whole place. It is much nicer and the staff have been much friendlier lately. Never come back, very bad attitude and service from the front desk attendant, came in for snow tire rotation, the tires were already mounted on a set of rims and did the tire balance in the previous year. The tire rotation usually cost around $30-$35, but the estimate came up $85 with tire balance and tire mounted which both included, and I asked why is this necessary, he didn't explain and just saying this is what the computer is showing. I questioned him "you don't sound like want to do business with me" and his answer was "yes that's right". I ended up going back to the dealership and rotate the tires for $35. read more

Do yourself the favor and don't bother with this place. Got my tires from tire track delivered here and called in to get them mounted. Spoke to Armando who told me come in at 7AM SUNDAY so i don't have to drop the car off for the day. I thought he may have been helping me out because I expressed that I would need a custom alignment and wouldnt be able to leave the car for the day. I show up at 7AM for my appointment and the entire facility is closed. After doing a lap at around the shop I was lucky to find someone doing some work in the back. He told me I was in the schedule for Monday at 7am not Sunday.... awesome I would have loved to know that considering I just drove across town for this. Asked him if there is any way to accommodate me and he said "no way, I got a crazy schedule today". I told him thanks for the help took my tires and left. This place is awful. My girlfriend took her car there last Sunday to get her A/C fixed. Evidently the machine that "fixes the A/C" wasn't working, but no one told my girlfriend. She had a 10 am appointment and it wasn't until 1pm that she was told anything. Once she got her car later that afternoon (after getting charging $250), she noticed that the problem wasn't fixed. After giving it another day or two, with still no resolution, she brought her car back today. Today they tell her there's a Freon leak, and quote her a price of over $650 to repair it. She was charged $250 a week ago for basically nothing, and now charged more than double to fix something they should've found the first time around? They didn't offer to refund the original $250 or offer a $250 credit towards this quote, just told her this is what the deal is. Usually, I only go to Firestone because of the great coupon deal that I can find. I have never been pleased with service in the past. In fact, I try to bring my car elsewhere for basic service if I can afford to (have another coupon). I just called day of to make an appointment and was told I could come in at 2:00. I got there right on time, went in to check in and was told it would be at least an hour because there was no one available to do it right now. I immediately said "Even with an appointment?" To which the reply I got was "there is no one available right now." I don't think that is a good excuse. Let's be fair...if you made a Dr.'s APPOINTMENT and they told you the wait was an hour you would be livid. I immediately left and went to the friendly, cooperative, wonderfully staffed Sullivan Tire who are always great about costumer service. I had to update my review here as four years have passed and the service has really declined. Sloppy and careless has come to mind lately. For example, I came in to have a window fixed, when they did the job, they left a part out. I came back to have the part put back in and I soon realized the handle to roll down the window (I know, old car) kept falling off, so came back to have it fixed and they initially charged me for it until I complained. They were also supposed to rotate the tires, fix a hood latch change the oil and do an inspection. I got charged for an inspection, but never received a sticker, the special wheel socket for my wheels was never returned, and the side mirror knob came off some point between when I got there and when I left. When I came back, they did give me an inspection sticker, but I was told there was nothing they could do about the window knob, and they would try to find the wheel socket (I still haven't heard back). I have gone there for almost everything I have had done on my car the last 8 years, and spent a ton of money there. You would think I would be treated a little better. I am very disappointed with the decline this place has seen, so unfortunately I will have to start going somewhere else because I just can't trust their work anymore. read more

I've used this Firestone in Quincy quite a few times. I can't remember a single good experience! An oil change and front alignment took almost 3 hours with me waiting for it. I watched the so called mechanic drive it in and then it sat there for 2 hours. Finally got it done after I inquired numerous times and he never did the alignment. I watched him the whole time from the windows in the back. At that point, I didn't care about the alignment (I had previously purchased a lifetime alignment). Another time, they stripped a lug nut and had the audacity to charge me for new lug bolt and nut. Had to order a new lug nut from from an auto parts store which added another hour to the job and the nut didn't even match the others. Another time, while doing an oil change, they stripped the oil pan plug so another wait for the auto parts store. Another time, I went in for a clunking in the front end, they quoted me over $2000 to completely replace the front suspension. I took it to a local shop and it was only a bad ball joint ($150). Another time, I requested a tire rotation, argued with me that they did it and then admitted that they didn't have the time to do it and that they wouldn't charge me. On and on!!!! This place is the worst. If you don't stand your ground, they will take advantage of you, overcharge you, "recommend" work or tires you don't need, act as if you are a bother to them and just ignore and be plain rude to you. If you like to be abused, then this is your car "care" place. read more

I'm adding a star due to their expedient service. I can't believe how quickly these guys get your car in and out of there. Usually I drop the car off in the morning and walk to the T to head to work. More than once I've actually been on the T heading in when they've called me to explain what was wrong with the car. I brought my 04 ford explorer in to get an oil change and my transmission fluid changed. Estimated price was almost $200, which I thought was a little high but I needed it done either way. Was told it'd take a little over an hour for the work (which wasn't a problem). Went down the street to grab a bite to eat while I waited. As expected, a little over an hour later I got a call telling me the car was all set. When I went to pick my car up I was told that they "didn't have the tools to change my transmission fluid" and shrugged it off. Shouldn't they know that before they agreed to do the work? So I wasted my time when I could've went to a mechanic that DID have the "right tools". I will NEVER bring my car here again. So much for "complete auto care". Don't waste your time here. Seems like they were just to lazy to do the work rather than not having the right tools. read more

The car was fixed and as someone else said, it was fast, however the price was carelessly misquoted and they held onto a rental car for 5 without notifying Enterprise that it was there or returned, so they charged me. Firestones in general are overpriced and corporate so you get guarentees on the work but they will always overcharge you. read more

If you want half the job done, this is the place! I went there to get a new tire came back a few hours later and had a new tire I was happy paid them and was on my way. I opened my trunk to see my spare thrown in the trunk warping the trunks base mat. Then the next day I turn on my car the low pressure light is back on (all of my tires were fine). I assumed something wasn't connected right so a few days later I took it back. The man I spoke with just told me it would be $70 to even see what the problem was and about $160 to fix. I decided to take my business elsewhere and I'm so happy I did. I was correct the mechanic who put on my new tire didn't complete the job and made the sensor in my car go off, I wasn't charged a thing to have another place look at it. The wait is always at least an hour no matter what day or time you go...at least they have tv and wifi. Returned for a battery, installed/paid with my FS account so I can pay as installment. Now the car was idling weird n' stalled!!! Chi (sales manager) told me that was normal since the PCM needs to re-learn from the new battery (as a Subaru). I had doubt since I just never heard of such thing. But overnight my car back to normal!!! I thought they are just a tire place but actually they do all kinda repairs n' they know their stuffs!! They are nice enough here, but expect to spend over an hour for even the tiniest thing. I got new tires about a month ago here and my tpms is flashing. It took them 3 hours for my first appointment. I came back for them to address the tpms. I called ahead and made an appointment. They said it would be quick, so I didn't arrange for anyone to pick me up. I brought in my car to change all my tires. When I left and I looked at my tires, I was skeptical about the tires as they didnt look new. It was also time for a state inspection and I took it in for an inpsection after a week of replacing my tires and I failed inspection and was asked to replace all my tires. Called Firestone and they asked my to bring my car and that they will take a look. Brought in my car the next day, they looked at my tires and immediately confirmed it required replacement. They replaced my tires immediately -- no questions asked. The gentlemen who helped me (Bob Caruso) was very courteous and professional about the whole thing. They might have put in the new tires on someone else's car and owned up the mistake and fixed it immediately -- thats customer service! Why bother making an appointment??? this was my experience, I made an appointment for an oil change, no big deal. When I arrived I was told it would be a 90 minute wait. I was surprised at this long wait because 1, I have an appointment and 2, an oil change should be no more than a 30 minute wait. When I was waiting to check out (I had to tell the desk my car was ready because it was in the lot for 20 minutes) there was a walk in customer that had no appointment and was told it would be no more than 45 minutes. Been here a few times. Each time worse experience than before. -Over priced/feel like I'm getting ripped off. -I purchased tire warranty when I bought tires. In a time period of 6 months I've had to take it in for leaking air. At least one of the times they tried to cheat me. Adding charges at the end. (Something that was clearly part of the warranty.) I called them out on their BS. After 30 min of arguing they finally took the charge off. Should never have been there. -Wait time is never less than 3hrs. Even with an appointment. -Shortly after taking it in, something else seems to go wrong. Gut feeling there is a correlation between the two. Will only go back if my tires start leaking air, again. Got car inspected for noise coming from rear wheel and they ask me to replace both rotors and pads on rear wheel immediately. I ask if they can resurface the rotor and if it will last another 2-3 months or just changing the pads right now will help me and they said no it can't be done and that's how bad it is. I was not convinced and opt for not to do anything. I took second opinion from three another providers and nothing wrong. both rotors and pads are like new with normal wear and tear. and it is just regular rusting on the rotor that causes noise. it is normal. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. I went for a routine oil change. For whatever reason, my washer fluid wasn't dispensing. I had to pick up my mom from her car's dealership after my oil change. When I got there I asked if they would fill my washer fluid. They called me out of the car to show me that the "professionals" at Firestone left the cap off the oil reservoir. There was oil sprayed all over the under side of the hood and the engine. If not for the washer fluid issue, who knows how long I could have been drivin ing like that. I brought my car back and pointed out the issue to the manager. needless to say, I got a refund. I asked that the oil was cleaned up Which happened only after I had ask a second time. To add insult to injury, when I asked what would be my incentive to return seeing how they almost ruined my car with routine maintenance, I was given a "discounted" rate for breaks that was higher than what I was originally quoted when the techs make recommended repairs. I had break pads and rotors changed in June 2016. In 2017 whenever I applied beaks while driving in reverse I used to hear a grinding noise 50 % of the time. I took it to Firestone in West Roxbury. They told me that a bolt had fallen off. The current Quincy people are incompetent. I have changed break pads and rotors many times in my life mostly at the Quincy store.
