I want to brakes for Less in Lynnwood they said I did not need it rotors or calipers and they would do my brakes for $210 complete. Tech at this location will suggest unnecessary repairs leading customers to believe that they have no choice but to replaced it. I had to replaced my brake rotors because he said he could not resurfaced it. So I took the old rotors back and got a second opinion on it which I was told that it can be resurfaced. I went into the Redmond Firestone to have my tires rotated and balance plus an alignment at 9:00AM on 6/26/19. All three were life time services. I also had an oil change too. The last time I went in for a tire rotation I thought they did not do it but I could not prove it. So, this time I put some duct tape on the two front wheels to see if those two tires will be on the back after rotating them and THEY WERE NOT! Plus I could not see any old marking from the old weights on the wheels so it makes me think they did not balance my tires either but the invoice #154045 stated they did recheck. The mechanics courtesy check paper states the Left inner tie rod needs to be replaced before alignment but the invoice #154045 indicted the alignment was rechecked. I AM CONFUSED! The invoice states they did all of the work I came for but that is not the case. Especially the rotation for sure! I have used and trusted this Firestone in Redmond for many, many years. Boom! I found them by some weird twist of fate. My insurance was supposed to tow my car to Les Schwab so I called ahead to let them know. BUT....the tow guy wound up taking it to Firestone instead. They beat the price of Les Schwab and were able to get my new tires on within the hour so I could still enjoy all the holidays had to offer. BIG THANKS. These guys and gals were amazing. I took my truck to the Firestone on Dewey Ave in Rochester NY because I heard a rattle every time I turned on my air conditioning.I was told by one of the mechanic (Who no longer works for the company) that my air conditioner needed to be replaced, because I felt this was a reputable company and I trusted what he said I agreed to get it fixed. I was charged about $1200 dollars. After receiving my truck I did still hear the rattle when I turned on the air and I also could smell a weird smell, I told the mechanic and was reassured the smell would leave as well as the sound. After awhile the smell did leave so I trusted the sound would too. Because the sound only rattled when I turned on the air it took awhile for me to realize it wasn't getting better. When I contacted Firestone I was told it was now the fans. I needed to pay about ANOTHER 1200 but as a good faith offer they would only charge me 50% of this even though its the same noise when I turn on the air but it's a little louder now. I Totally disagreed and reached out to cooperate and have yet to be contacted. Were in the middle of a pandemic, its been very hot and riding around with small children (I have no choice we have to live) without air in 90 degree weather is unbearable and torture. I feel when I was paying my money I was considered a valuable customer but now that I am trying to have this situation rectified I am someone to avoid. So I left a review earlier that was "filtered" to the hidden page. But in this review, I have a legitimate concern that I hope Yelp doesn't filter out. My rear brakes had been squealing loudly and I had done tons of research on the noise. I come from a family of mechanics, so in March, I went to Firestone knowing exactly what was wrong with my car and what would need to be done. I needed to have the rear brake pads and rotors replaced to the tone of $300+. These two points are key later: -I paid $90 to have the brake fluid flushed. -The front desk guy told me that I also "desperately" needed to have my front brake pads and rotors fixed also and that they would need to be replaced within 1,000 miles or I would be putting my "family at risk." Knowing better, I left feeling rather put off by the way they treated me. Fast forward 2 months and 2,500 miles later, I go to another Firestone location (in Bellevue) for regular maintenance. Being a good car owner who wants their car to last a long time, I had them inspect the whole car at a cost. I felt that the guys at the Bellevue location were a bit nicer and seemed more honest than my last experience in Redmond. And then they brought my report back... It said that my front brake pads were in fine shape and that I probably had 10,000 miles + left on them. And the BIG red flag... they say I need the brake fluid flushed and showed me the test strip that said it was highly concentrated with copper. WAIT A MINUTE! I just paid $90 for that same service 2 months ago!!! I didn't put all of this together until a few days later... So, rather than deal with the you-know-whats at Redmond, I gave the Bellevue location a ring and explained the situation to them. They pulled up my receipts from both locations and asked when I could bring my car in to have the service done for free. Well, not really free since I ALREADY PAID $90 in Redmond. But I'm glad that it's getting done, finally. Never again will I step foot in the Firestone Auto Care in Redmond and I don't recommend that you do, either. read more

I've had my Tahoe serviced here several times in the past 6 months and I've been mostly pleased. Their service is sometimes slower than I'd like, but I find their prices to be reasonable and they have handled some challenging warranty claims successfully (saving me some hassle). Their mechanics (Hunsaker, in particular) always take a couple extra minutes to give me pointers on work they've done (or things I can do). I sometimes feel like they are trying to upsell me, but I never feel pressured. Overall, I find them professional, friendly and they do good work - something I don't expect from a large chain business. read more

These guys are thieves. They'll charge you three the times what others are charging for unnecessary parts. They like to use sneaky tactics like telling you that "your car is illegal to drive" when it really isn't, just to pressure you into getting work done with them. They did this with me before, but I didn't fall for it. Unfortunately, my brother did with his EVAP fuel solenoid, which they charged 500 bucks instead of 150 that other places were asking. They took apart the entire system and said "ok but it's not guaranteed to work" when asked to put it back together.....We have been coming here for many years, and even have firestone credit cards set up. However, their deceptive tactics have gotten worse and worse. I really only continued going to Firestone because of the cheap oil changes I did not want to do myself. I always knew not to accept any other work they kept insisting on. However, if they realize you're only in for an oil change they will make you wait for 3 or more hours, if they even get to doing it at all! Long story short, I had a tire emergency and these guys came through for me. Overall, friendly, understanding staff, willing to work with me and explain things. A strip of rubber busted off my tire while I was driving so I pulled in to get a new set of tires (which I should have done months ago to be perfectly honest). I didn't have a lot of money so I was worried I wouldn't be able to get anything done. Sherman was friendly and understood my concerns. He explained my available options clearly and was able to help me find a deal that I could afford. In the end I actually got better tires than I was expecting to get and they checked my alignment and check-engine light for free as well, so I know what to get fixed next time. I came in somewhat late in the day on a Sunday and was the last customer to leave the shop - they finished my tires and assessments even though it took them till after their closing time and didn't complain once. Complete auto care is not what you will get here. Do not go here for auto maintenance. They mentioned my brake pads were low on my AWD car and I had them replaced. Some numb nuts forgot to reattach the brake caliper correctly and the car seized up as soon as I got off the freeway... luckily. Could have been killed if it locked up on the freeway. Carved up my wheel pretty good. Hard pass. Won't even go back for my lifetime alignment I paid for. read more

Next what he said just blew my mind. He said it will take about TWO hours to get it done because they are so busy. I said but that is the reason why I made an appointment and he replied that their online system doesn't communicate well enough with their store system when booking an appointment.... I was like WTF is going in here.... If I don't make an appointment they tell me the reason that they don't have time for me AND when I make an appointment then they will tell me that we are too busy to get it done in timely manner... Another way of telling me that just leave.... Guess what I left.. First two times with bad experience it did not bother me that much but this time---this review is well deserved.. Had another great service experience here. Took in my Acura RSX with 120K miles for regular oil change and service. Since I had purchased Lifetime Alignment, I asked them to re-check the alignment because I was experiencing "micro vibrations" when going around 70 MPH or faster. They performed the re-alignment and actually even re-balanced the front wheels and problem solved. The car is now silky smooth and no more vibrations at speed. Also, the oil/filter change was very cheap, about $20. At that price, why would anyone still do it at home? read more

While driving home from Marymoor the gate attendant let me know that my passenger headlight was burned out. Not wanting a large dollar ticket from the police, I pulled into Firestone on Redmond way around 7 PM and was greeted by Tyler and Jacoby who jumped right on the job enthusiastically. For a low price ($28.46 which includes labor and tax) they had the new headlight installed literally within minutes! Tyler was very courteous and extremely customer service oriented. DO NOT GO HERE. It's been so long since I was treated like a dumb girl, but that's exactly what happened! I was stuck on a Sunday with a flat. They told me they could match my tire, but they would have to get it from another store. The guy did NOT mention it would be a $15 Delivery fee attached to my bill. He told me that I could drive on my spare until Tuesday, when I could just "pop in" so they could stick the wheel and tire on my car. Tuesday. Two days after I had the flat. Why? Because, they wouldn't get the new tire in until the following afternoon. No idea why it should take that long to get one tire, but it does. They kept my wheel for the express purpose of doing the work with the tire and wheel before I arrived. Thank goodness I called first on Tuesday morning - they had no idea where the tire or wheel was! The guy told me to come on in and I would have to wait while they did all the work then. Ok....well I've got two small kids, so good luck to your waiting room still looking great by the time you're done! Hah. They took off the spare and got the wheel on the car, but then stood there scratching their heads at how to put back the spare for, and I'm not joking here, 30 MINUTES! They didn't tell me what was going on, nor did they ask if I knew - which I didn't. They completely dismantled the inside of my car, and then didn't even have the courtesy of putting it back together properly. The tracks for my middle seating ( I have a van) were sticking out, as well as the tracks for the floor mats being left unhooked, so that when I went to move the seat to put my child in the back, the mat got caught on the track. I called the guy out to have him look, he went in to get someone else to fix it, who OBVIOUSLY had no idea, because they then had to have a conference about it, and then the guy who fixed it? Well, excuse me for having to do "extra" work - but he gave me attitude as well! I said thanks and he didn't even acknowledge me on his way back inside. Have a great day, dude. Thanks a bunch. Most unhelpful and money takers I've ever encountered, I brought my little baby car to them for an alignment, a couple days later it started acting funny and I took it back, turns out my entire wheel bearing was about to fall off and my wheel. They refused to believe it was them but I know it was. My dad took a look at it and he knows a lot about cars. He found a bunch of parts on my bearing and wheel that weren't there before as if they were hiding my wheel bearing. They are so unsafe for letting a car drive away with the wheel about to fall off. Worst car place ever. Do not go there, they will hide what they mess up on your car and over charge you. They won't fix anything either. read more

That said I'm a master technician at chevy our alignment machine was down that's all I wanted my tires have 7/32nds of tread 60%. Redmond Firestone has worked on my car, and my family member's cars for over a year now. They are honest, great, good people working there- and deserve a five star rating because of their customer service. They seriously care about their customers and vehicles. And they do great work. My car is old as shit, I certainly don't take care of it, and here it is, running like a champ because the techs at Firestone actually know how to work on cars. Last year, I had my breaks fixed and took the car to some other place because I have some coupon. Huge mistake, and a week later I ended up taking the car to Firestone to have the guys fix it. I would rather pay Firestone to work on my car than pay some cheap shop to do it wrong, and then have to pay to get it fixed again. They have a new manager, however, and HE alone is why firestone is getting only three stars from me. He is an absolute crook and will say anything to try and get an extra dime out of a customer. In addition, he has terrible customer service skills (I came in and he asked if he could help me, I had spoken to another employee previously and asked to speak to him again, and the manager rolled his eyes, gave a big sigh, and told me the other employee was busy- then walked away. WTF is that?). One bad apple shouldn't be allowed to ruin the whole bunch, and that is why Redmond Firestone continues to have my business- I just call and make sure the manager isn't there before I schedule to take my car in. I have never had an issue doing things that way, and have only wonderful things to say about Redmond Firestone without that Asian-looking manager there. For all those who are complaining about being ripped off, and about the manager who sucks- voice your opinion to corperate! Let them know that the techs are great and Firestone has been slipping hardcore since they hired this new guy to run things. With any luck, he'll be out of there soon and the. I've got LTA (Lifetime Alignments) and have been going to this location for 5+ years for all my tire and wheel work. Haven't had (or noticed) any issues until my last visit on 8/6/15. I went in for alignments and to have my newly bought (not from firestone) tires mounted onto my existing wheels. It had been over a year since my last visit and I should have followed recent yelp reviews advice. At first, the 1 hour time-frame turned into closer to 2 hours (I was not a walk-in). The front desk was helpful, but I found it odd when they suggested I get my alignment done when swapping to new tires...since the alignment was on the receipt/work order already (I called in the appointment). When I got the car back after the work was done I immediately noticed grease smeared all over every wheel and tire. When I got into the car I noticed grease was also smeared onto parts of the windshield. I drove straight home and didn't think about it until the following day (it's not my daily driver). I got home from work the next evening to find my irate Wife who noticed that not only was grease smeared on all the wheels, tires, and part of the windshield, but also all 4 wheels had been gouged/damage considerably along the edge. Adding to that, we found a small dent just above the rear-passenger wheel on the body of the car. I took pictures of everything. I get that the grease smeared everywhere is just poor customer service and lazy work, but the gouged and damaged wheels plus the dent is unacceptable. I would give 1 start, but giving 2 stars because my previous experience was overall good. I will not be going back though. read more

I originally got My tires and (lifetime) alignment at the Issaquah location because it's closer to home, but I've been bringing my e36 M3 here in stead for a couple of years now. They are usually not as busy and almost always have a same-day appointment available. Their customer service tends to be better, and while they won't officially do custom settings, the techs I've worked with were capable (even the young guys), and if You hang around and talk to the one doing your car they're usually happy to set at least the stock adjustments to your preference (especially if you brought some doughnuts for the shop). The next one of our vehicles that needs tires is getting them here! read more

Went in needing a brake job, couldn't take the noise anymore. I had done a lot of research on what the cause was, knew what I needed, but ended up short on time and needing to have it done asap. Ended up paying $375 for brakes and rotors. Average hard sell of a mechanic, way over priced but it was convenient, so I ended up paying $100 more than I should have. Parts were the most overcharged piece of the deal and I was told "we cannot install customer purchased parts." Will not be going back again. Also, watched a guy pay $1758 at this shop to have a control arm, brakes and an oil change done. Can't even imagine how they came up with that number. read more

INCOMPETENCE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Took my WRX in to get an alignment after doing some work on the front suspension. The tech took nearly an hour to do the alignment and them came in claiming to be unable to adjust the front camber (left side was out of spec) because I didn't have the right bolts. They tried to sell me a $50 camber bolt kit. I ended up arguing with them that I did indeed have the camber adjustment bolts, which specific bolts they were on the car and how to use them. The put my car on the lift again where I went into the shop and pointed out the bolts and the markings on them that clearly indicated they were camber adjustment bolts. They came back saying that the bolts did nothing (they just spun in the hole). I had them put the car on the alignment rack again and give me my final numbers (to make sure they didn't mess anything up). Surprise the camber was adjusted and in spec now which I find highly suspect. I now need to go and get the car aligned again at an actual reputable business to make sure these fools didn't screw anything up. This is $100 wasted. I have had the car aligned before several times with no issues. I myself have taken the entire front suspension apart and know for a fact that I have the right camber bolts for the car. Got home and inspected the car to discover that they ruined one of the tie rods using pliers to adjust the toe. I am never going back here again. UPDATE: Contacted the company and so far no response beyond "we'll look into it". It appears corporate Firestone is as incompetent as their techs. read more

Just picked up my Toyota MH yesterday @ noon and everything came out perfect. Kevin their new Service Manager fit me in, even though I didn't have an appointment. Kevin contacted his Store Manager and also, got me $10 off each tire, which was unexpected. They also had time to do my Lifetime Alignment recheck and perform a Coupon Oil Change. This isn't the first time, Firestone in Redmond has fit me in, last week, I called the Bellevue Store on Saturday looking for an Oil Change, but they were booked until Monday. The young lady, Carolyn I believe fit me in right away and I was done within the Hour. They have a whole new Crew in the Front. New Store Manager who's doing a great job and the new Tire Salesman, Sherman from Spokane is also excellent. If you need Car Repairs and/or Tires, you should give this new crew a chance, you'll be pleased. read more

Twice now I have brought tires and wheels in to be mounted and balanced. First time they did an excellent job but charged me for valve stems and a disposal fee even though I brought the tires in and there was nothing to dispose. I also had installed new valve stems on the wheels so they never added new valve stems but charged me anyway. they did an excellent job of balancing my tires so I let the overcharge pass because I was happy. This time I brought in 4 more wheels and tires (High performance one directional tires) and I had already added new TPMS sensors to the wheels along with brand new TPMS installation kits. This time they mounted all 4 wheels to roll in the same direction so when I got home I noticed it and now tomorrow I have to go back and have the driver side wheels and tires changed. I also noted on the bill they had charged me for (4) tpms installation kits and labor to install them. I went and checked my wheels and saw that the same equipment I installed was still there so once again they had charged me for something they didn't provide. Fool me once shame on them. Fool me twice shame on me. Once they fix my tires tomorrow I am done with Redmond Firestone. Their quality is slipping and I DON T TRUST THEM!!! Update, They just corrected the mismounted tires and gave me a free oil change for my troubles. When I asked them about the TPMS sensor charge they immediately went and refunded my money. Seems their computer automatically charges you for service whether you ask for it or not so watch your bill. If you just had new valve stems put on your wheels and you go in for tires you will get charged for new valve stems whether you need them or not. The mechanic will notice your stems are brand new and do nothing but they will be on your bill. All in all they seem to be a good shop. They do a good job, they correct their mistakes, they try to make you happy . Just watch your bill. I brought them up from one star to two. 2nd update. I took the tires and wheels home and mounted them on my car and drove it to Toyota of Kirkland for a wheel alignment. The car had a terrible vibration. I asked the Toyota dealer to check out the vibration before they did the alignment. There was one tire they couldn't get to balance so they took it to Les Scwabb and even they couldn't get it to balance. Bad tire I guess but Firestone said it was balanced just fine on their machine. I dropped off a new tire and they mounted and balanced it and the vibration was great improved. The two tires on the back had to be rebalanced as the dealership said the car still vibrated so I guess what i payed for a Firestone was $100 to mount 4 tires as their balancing wasn't worth crap. These were chrome wheels with stick on weights and their tire tech didn't even wipe the wheels down to clean off the installation lube before sticking on the weights. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find the weights missing on the back tires. Anyway, the car is off to Discount tire in Kirkland for a rebalance. Now they are a A+ shop. They replaced my tire that was bad no charge even though I bought the set off of Ebay. Discount tire in Kirkland is now My Tire store Stay away from Firestone in Redmond, stay far, far away. read more

Took my Toyota Camry to this shop because the engine stalls when stop and idle. Was told the idle air control valve need to be replaced and it would cost more than $900. Then called me again during the day said that the whole throttle body need to replace too and it would cost $1420. I asked if the parts can be cleaned or fixed and they said no. So I took my car back and spent $20 on tools then I cleaned up the throttle body now the car is back in working. Also, very aggressive up-sell for tires. Not recommended. read more

I've done business at this location once before - they replaced my front wheel bearings on a Chevy 2500HD pickup. 15k miles later my ABS light and beeper intermittantly came on. I was out of town and happened by a Les Schwab who plugged in their computer and diagnosed that the ABS warning was from the left front wheel bearings wearing out. Which, learning later is common when inferior aftermarket parts are used. BTW - the Les Schwab diagnosis was free; no obligation. I took the truck back to Firetsone in Redmond who replaced both front bearings (15k miles ago) to find out their warranty only lasted 12k miles. After an estimate which included a free confirmation diagnosis (computer like Les Schwab used) I booked an appt. Showed up at the assigned time and was told they did indeed have to diagnose the vehicle and it would now cost $110 extra! When I pointed out that they had included it in the estimate and that they quoted no charge they completely denied their very clear communication (when I set the appt and was told the diagnosis was free). When questioned as to the quality of the parts they use, again - these bearings failed at 15k miles!, they confimred they use aftermarket bearings but insisted they were as good as the OEM (Chevy) parts. Apparently not. I went across the street to Les Schwab. The warranty was better. The service was better. No hidden costs and no upsell (the Firestone guys were trying to upsell me on services I didnt need even when voicing my frustrations!). And, they use OEM parts which I have determined are far superior, at least in this application. All at a comparable price and NO DIAGNISIS FEE. Firestone is a waste of time. And they are not trustworthy. First time duped - shame on them. Second time duped - shame on me. Will never do business with that (Firestone) business again. Be wary... read more
