This is the gash that Firestone Redmond put in my tire and then tried to device me to cover their tracks.
    Bill D.

Summary: Put an 8" gash in my tire. Pulled a deception to try and get me to throw away the tires so as not to get caught or accept responsibility for ruining my tire I brought my car in for seasonal tire rotation. They were summer tires and had low mileage but I got a call from the tech saying "any reason you want to keep these tires? I replied why wouldn't I? He replied well it was icy behind the shop ( it was) and they were "all Over the place" and it looks like the treat is worn. Did he expect summer tires to grip on ice? I told him they were low mileage and wanted to keep them. When I showed up they tried to charge me and did not load my tires. I had to ask if they had them in the car after telling them I wanted them and they then loaded them. I knew something was fishy but assumed they just wanted to keep a slightly worn 21 inch Porsche tire so I didn't Persue it or check the tires. When I went to switch back to summers I got a call from Discount tire and they asked "who took these summer tires off" I told them Redmond Firestone and he said there was an 8 inch gash in the sidewall. He said that the automated tire remover likely caused it. He said it happens to them some times but they own up to it and would always make it right. I went back to Firestone and the manager said they would not help and I had to contact a regional manager and gave me an email. They destroyed and expensive 21' Porsche tire and they tried to trick me into leaving them there to cover their asses. Now I need to buy a new set of tires. This is worse than incompetence, it's willful deception. I'm assuming I will get the brush off from the regional manager. Discount tire in Redmond has always been great. They have repaired flats for me no charge. The only reason I tried Firestone was they had an appointment that day and Discount Tire did not. Everyone makes mistakes, this was willful deception and definitive proof that this location should not be trusted with anything

When I experienced an issue with my car during the holiday season, I was looking for an auto repair shop. I tried the Bellevue Firestone location, but they were busy. So I asked if the Redmond location had any availability which they did, so I headed over to have them look at my problem. Redmond Firestone is located on Redmond Way. It is a little past Whole Foods on the other side of the street. The store layout looks similar to the Bellevue one with an waiting area. It also has free Wi-Fi though you have to register. I had them do some analytics on my car along with an oil change and wheel realignment. The wait was several hours, so I headed over to Whole Foods for some coffee and a pastry. If you are looking for something do rather than waiting at the shop, Marymoor Park is close by. It is a nice place to run or walk. Upon returning, I learned that my car needed a super expensive part to fix the problem. Unusual since my car had not any major issues until now. I wasn't sure if they were upselling something that I didn't need, so I ended up going to my regular repair shop to have them take a look. As for the oil change and wheel realignment, those were done fine. Though they did forget about doing the wheel realignment until I asked them, so I had to wait another hour. If you need a simple car service like an oil change or wheel realignment, Firestone is fine. Though for the bigger jobs, I would get a second opinion to confirm the issue before making the investment. Even then, I would rather support a small repair shop that is reliable and trustworthy over a corporate repair shop that may not have your best interests at heart.

After 7 yrs of crappy service I am finally done with this place. Every time I took my car there they would try to upsell me some service that I didn't need. I am savvy enough with cars so I took care of it beyond what they did. And put up with it for a while. 2 yrs ago I had the timing belt replaced for $900. It's a service recommended every 90k miles. But after about 18 months the gasket started leaking. They didn't tell me until I took it to different place. Now they don't want to stand behind their service and wants me to spend another $900 to replace my timing belt again. I even offered to pay for half, but to no avail. That was the last time I am took my car there.

The appointment times were reasonable (granted, I wanted a time during the early week). Per standard procedure, Henry checked the tread depth on all four tires but then he also took the time to check the spare. He got on his knees and eventually on his back (fully laying down) and carefully checked to see how to access the spare. That was some next level service. The time to complete the job was accurate and the waiting room is spacious and comfortable. This was an A+ experience.

I said "hello, good morning" and his hello in return was so bitter and short that I knew that this would set the tone for this experience. He then proceeded to ignore me and type on the computer then went to the next room. I said cheerily "oh, you'll be with me in just a minute? Sure, no problem" which seemed to further irritated him. Then the phone rang and he took care of the callers request without acknowledging me still. I then explained that I spent over $1,100 on 4 new tires last year and to service the person on the phone without acknowledging me is "wildly rude." I then explained what customer service should look like (ie greeting and answering the phone to ask to hold and acknowledging the customer standing in front of you) and said "you know?" To which he said "no, I don't." Then the moment my experience changed is when Justice intervened and said "Ma'am, I'm almost finished with my customer and will take care of you." My mood instantly shifted. Justice was like a breath of fresh air. Very professional, kind and friendly. I am so thankful that he was there. He deserves a raise. 5/5 stars to that man. This occurred May 22nd 2026 at 8:24a at the desk and I encourage management to look into this if recorded and use it as a learning opportunity for Brendan and praise for Justice. Unfortunately if this is how management acts, I will look elsewhere to service my vehicle.

Les Schwab was trying to push me to buy this after-market part that would, supposedly, be the "solution" to my wheels being off camber. SO, I took it to Tire Pros for a second opinion. They educated me on the issue and realigned my wheels to the spec camber, no new part needed. From the moment I walked through the doors, Joe and his team were very personable and welcoming. While waiting for my car, I was able to admire the personality of the shop and took note of all the people that came in... It appeared as though the Owner and his team knew the name of every person that walked through the doors, and had loyal customers that sought his team's expertise and services for their vehicles... If you want someone to be transparent about the work your car needs, and isn't all smokey mirrors, Redmond Tire Pros is the place for YOU! :) They'll take care of you, they won't take advantage of you, they'll EDUCATE you, and you'll feel right at home! I brought my Mercedes GL450 in for suspension work. They kept my vehicle for more than a week and then charged me $5700 plus. Instead of fixing my car properly, they damaged it. During their work, they broke the coolant radiator and all the related hoses, causing coolant leaks that did not exist before I brought the car in. This damage was clearly the result of their negligence, yet they refused to take responsibility or offer a proper resolution. Charging luxury-car prices while delivering careless, incompetent work is unacceptable. Keeping a customer's car for over a week and returning it in worse condition shows a complete lack of professionalism and skill. I was left with extra repair costs, lost time, and serious frustration--all because this shop failed to do a basic job correctly. If you value your vehicle, especially a Mercedes or any high-end car, stay away from this shop. Paying $5700 plus to have your car damaged is something no customer should ever experience.

My back right tire was continuing to lose air and I was filling it every few weeks. I finally brought it in after it got lower than usual. The mechanic was great at dumbing things down for me and giving me all the options. He said they could fix it, but that my tires were in really bad shape and it might be better to replace them all instead. I wasn't sure if this was just sales, but he took me to look at my tires compared to new ones and WOW. Whoops, my bad for never replacing them. I told him that I work from home and really only drive to see friends or go to appointments and hardly ever go over the pass, and he showed me some discount tires that would work for my needs without any extras. I liked that he gave me several quotes and options but still recommended the least expensive based on my needs, felt very genuine. He also didn't judge me when I asked what "fixing my alignment means" and showed me how my alignment would affect my driving. This also felt like a genuine add on. For a full set of new tires and alignment repair, I was there an hour and a half. The waiting room is HUGE! Tons of seating and plugs, plus they had popcorn and water. Really clean too. I brought my airpods, laptop, and ipad so I could work and watch tv while I was there. Free fast wifi too! It was a wonderful, quiet, clean place to wait. When I was checking out, the sales associate said that the would send me reminders to get my tires rotated so these would last me as long as possible. This was awesome, because I know I would forget. Within 20 seconds of driving off I FELT the difference in my car. I regret waiting so long to go in and get everything checked out!

This last visit was just too much for me to keep that up. I came in for an oil change. They recommended tires, which were needed (I got a better tire elsewhere for less), but what absolutely blew me away was their recommendation for a new engine air filter. I'd replaced it less than a month earlier. They even included a helpful picture of a fairly dirty filter on top of my battery - only problem is that wasn't my filter. I just checked (and took my own pic) over a month after my visit and mine still looks great. Air filters are one of the easiest things to replace, typically requiring no tools, making them one of the fastest ways for shops to make money. This is one of the most basic tests for how honest a shop is. Sorry Firestone, you couldn't have failed harder. They also recommended replacing portions of my suspension (verbally, not detailed on the "Courtesy Check") so I brought my car into my mechanic. My suspension is fine (huh, whoever snuck into my garage and replaced the air filter must have also worked on the suspension), but it turns out that the oil pan gasket and filter are badly leaking. After a month of driving, the oil was already fairly sludgy simply because of buildup in the oil pan (assuming it was fresh when they put it in). In other words, even the service that was performed had to be redone. Sure, it costs a bit more to have your oil changed at a shop that uses ASE certified mechanics but this is a good reminder to me why it's worth it.
