Highly recommend this place! The store manager, Ryan, is awesome--patient, friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about his customers. My car took longer to get fixed than originally promised, and Ryan gave me a discount for the inconvenience, which I really appreciated. I had shopped around at several other repair shops, and most of them quoted me an hourly labor rate. Firestone gave me a flat-rate price upfront, which gave me peace of mind because I didn't have to worry about the final bill suddenly skyrocketing. Ryan was also incredibly friendly with my kids. Summary: Put an 8" gash in my tire. Pulled a deception to try and get me to throw away the tires so as not to get caught or accept responsibility for ruining my tire I brought my car in for seasonal tire rotation. They were summer tires and had low mileage but I got a call from the tech saying "any reason you want to keep these tires? I replied why wouldn't I? He replied well it was icy behind the shop ( it was) and they were "all Over the place" and it looks like the treat is worn. Did he expect summer tires to grip on ice? I told him they were low mileage and wanted to keep them. When I showed up they tried to charge me and did not load my tires. I had to ask if they had them in the car after telling them I wanted them and they then loaded them. I knew something was fishy but assumed they just wanted to keep a slightly worn 21 inch Porsche tire so I didn't Persue it or check the tires. When I went to switch back to summers I got a call from Discount tire and they asked "who took these summer tires off" I told them Redmond Firestone and he said there was an 8 inch gash in the sidewall. He said that the automated tire remover likely caused it. He said it happens to them some times but they own up to it and would always make it right. I went back to Firestone and the manager said they would not help and I had to contact a regional manager and gave me an email. They destroyed and expensive 21' Porsche tire and they tried to trick me into leaving them there to cover their asses. Now I need to buy a new set of tires. This is worse than incompetence, it's willful deception. I'm assuming I will get the brush off from the regional manager. Discount tire in Redmond has always been great. I had some bad experiences at this Firestone years ago....but I figured by now they'd have a different crew and a better approach to service. Maybe they have a different crew now, but they still have HORRIBLE SERVICE!! I made an appointment a week in advance, stressing that I needed to wait for the vehicle (not a drop-off) so that they would know to start work on the vehicle when I arrived at the appointment time (that's normally how it's supposed to work...)....BUT NO!!! I arrived on time, reminded them that I would be waiting there (not a drop-off), and decided to go for a walk. I returned to Firestone after about 40 minutes and noticed that my vehicle had not been moved.....they had not even STARTED to service it!! I complained to the front desk woman about this, stressing that I had made the appointment in advance, specifically to have it serviced while I waited, and got a lame excuse that it could be up to a two hour wait TO GET STARTED with servicing because "all the bays are full"!!  ARE YOU KIDDING ME???  What's the point of making an appointment in advanced and emphasizing that it's not a drop-off, that I'd be waiting there, when the end result is the same as dropping off your vehicle???!!! Next time, I'm going to Firestone Woodinville...much better customer service there, and they actually honor the notion of having advanced appointments for those that must wait while their vehicle is serviced!! read more

When I experienced an issue with my car during the holiday season, I was looking for an auto repair shop. I tried the Bellevue Firestone location, but they were busy. So I asked if the Redmond location had any availability which they did, so I headed over to have them look at my problem. Redmond Firestone is located on Redmond Way. It is a little past Whole Foods on the other side of the street. The store layout looks similar to the Bellevue one with an waiting area. It also has free Wi-Fi though you have to register. I had them do some analytics on my car along with an oil change and wheel realignment. The wait was several hours, so I headed over to Whole Foods for some coffee and a pastry. If you are looking for something do rather than waiting at the shop, Marymoor Park is close by. It is a nice place to run or walk. Upon returning, I learned that my car needed a super expensive part to fix the problem. Unusual since my car had not any major issues until now. I wasn't sure if they were upselling something that I didn't need, so I ended up going to my regular repair shop to have them take a look. As for the oil change and wheel realignment, those were done fine. Though they did forget about doing the wheel realignment until I asked them, so I had to wait another hour. If you need a simple car service like an oil change or wheel realignment, Firestone is fine. Though for the bigger jobs, I would get a second opinion to confirm the issue before making the investment. Even then, I would rather support a small repair shop that is reliable and trustworthy over a corporate repair shop that may not have your best interests at heart. read more

Took my car here to have the full inspection & lifetime alignment done. They called me back & said I needed my brakes & tires replaced asap to the tune of $2300+ I knew my tires & brakes were good but just to be on the safe side, I swung by Costco on my way home for a tread inspection & was told I have at least 10-15,000 more miles left on my tires. He just rolled his eyes when I told him what these guys at Firestone told me & says he hears it all the time. Brakes are at the point where they should be changed probably within the next few thousand miles but it's not at the urgent, "change them right now" point. It sucks to feel taken advantage of or treated like an idiot bc you are a woman. Please. I know my stuff & it's laughable when these guys try to make it seem like I am clueless. read more

I took my Jeep here because there was a screw in the tire. I called and was told a repair would be $30-$35. The guy came out and looked at it for 2 seconds and said it can't be repaired. He then said I would have to replace all 4 almost new tires for $1,000 dollars. Later that day I took the Jeep to Discount Tire. They not only repaired the hole but balanced the tires and check their air pressure. All for FREE!! Firestone is a scam! read more

This should be the last place you take to have work done on your vehicle. This store charged over 200 dollars in parts, close to 300 dollars in labor to replace two belts and an idler pulley on my daughter's 2002 Chevy Tracker, 2.0 Liter, 4 cylinder. Every other store I spoke to said it should have been half that amount. My daughter brought her 2002 Chevy Tracker into this store because it was making a high pitched whining noise. They told her probably a bad pulley, not to worry. She was told one could drive with a noisy pulley for a long time but bring it in when she got a chance. That was my first clue this store was questionable. Approximately a week later the pulley seized, the belt broke; stranding her on a major freeway during rush hour. She had her car towed to the Firestone dealer. She needs her car for her job, so she was anxious to have them get it fixed as quickly as possible. They quoted her 500 dollars. That seemed high to me; but I assumed it was a difficult repair job, with expensive parts. I called and spoke to Vicki; she detailed the work required. I told her to repair the car. They started the work, but I had misgivings on the price. It seemed too high. I called around to check with a number of reputable repair shops in my area (she lives two hours away in Seattle, I live in Pierce County). All said less than $300; probably closer to $200. I called Vicki back within an hour of giving them authorization to do the work. I told her to stop the work, that we felt the price was unreasonable. She said it was too late, they had already removed the pulley. I figured I could call the manager, explain my concerns and he would adjust the price. Before calling, I decided to see how much the parts would cost if I were to purchase them. I checked the parts prices online via a number of online parts vendors (Rock Auto, etc). OEM/GM replacement parts (the most expensive listed) were roughly $40 for the pulley, $12 dollars for each pulley. That adds up to $64. Least expensive for the parts was less than $15. They charged her $200!!! Today I spoke to the Manager (Paul); asked that he adjust the price, told him how much other places would charge, how much I could buy the parts for if I had done the work. He told me that he did not establish the price for parts and labor; that the software they use auto-populates the price, etc. He told me he was short-handed on employees (not my issue, and should have no bearing on the cost we pay). He offered to take $25 dollars off the repair bill. I told him I would be writing a letter to his corporate office and post a review on Yelp. I plan also to contact the BBB. read more

After 7 yrs of crappy service I am finally done with this place. Every time I took my car there they would try to upsell me some service that I didn't need. I am savvy enough with cars so I took care of it beyond what they did. And put up with it for a while. 2 yrs ago I had the timing belt replaced for $900. It's a service recommended every 90k miles. But after about 18 months the gasket started leaking. They didn't tell me until I took it to different place. Now they don't want to stand behind their service and wants me to spend another $900 to replace my timing belt again. I even offered to pay for half, but to no avail. No apology, no offer to give me a discount etc... Moved my schedule around that morning to get my oil-changed and got screwed AGAIN. One ounce of customer service could have remedied the situation but the employee was clueless and didn't care. I've taken my car twice to firestone due to two separate issues and each time I've been satisfied with the customer service and work done on my car. Briann, the store manager, was able to get my car in each time in timely manner and addressed all my concerns. He took the time to explain to me what was wrong with my car and what needed to happen in order to fix it. He answered ALL my questions and made sure I understood everything. Worst customer service I have ever faced. I had an appointment at noon on Fri (1/14/2020) for oil change and tire alignment. I dropped my car at 11:45AM. The person in the front desk said it will take around 2 hours or more like 2 and 1/2 hours at the latest (and they will call me when its ready). I returned back to Firestone at 2PM and I see the car hasn't been even moved from where I have parked. The same person in the front desk then said oh, the wheel alignment things are not ready yet and that's why its taking so long. It will likely take another 3-4 hours. So, effectively for a oil change and wheel alignment check (for which I have a lifetime warranty), they will take 6+ hours. On top of this, the front desk personnel (his name is Justin or Jason, I forgot but hopefully Firestone store manager can figure that out based on the date/time I listed above) didn't even seem apologetic and I felt like they are doing me a favor by changing my car oil. Thankfully there are multiple oil change option in the area. If I go to any Firestone, I will surely avoid the one at Redmond Way which has the poorest customer service I have ever seen and most discourteous front desk personnel. I should have given a 0-star if yelp had that option. With all that being said above, not sure if the manager cares at all going by the negative reviews I see in yelp. I just wish these Firestone employees learn the ethics of doing business in a sane way and treating customers respectfully. read more

Avoid these guys! I needed to fix a flat tire and stopped by their shop. They took the car and then came back 5 minutes later saying that they cannot repair the tire because the damage is close to the edge of the tire. They even had a demo piece of tire to show me why they cannot repair it. They recommended me two options - both of them were to buy and install a new Firestone tire from them with total cost more that $100. All this sounded very suspicious to me. I asked them to install a spare, then went to a nearby Les Shwab. Les Shwab took the car and fixed the tire without any questions for $13. I am driving the car with the repaired tire for two weeks now and have not had any problems with it. Update: I am driving the car for 8 months now with the tire fixed for $13 and have no problems with that tire at all. This confirms my review - the Firestone guys are total crooks. read more

I stopped in only because my car broke down and I limped it into the closest parking lot. I asked the mechanic shop next door if they could pull the engine code so I could determine what to do. They said they couldn't even pull the code till next week, and to try Firestone. The nice guy at Firestone immediately pulled the code (for free) and within 5 minutes I was able to call my longtime mechanic at my favorite shop to assess the code and confirm my car required towing. Their quick help and kindness really saved my day - thanks! Since I had to wait for the tow anyway I priced new tires, and they will get my business in the future. read more

Although we've purchased our tires at the Woodinville location, this review isn't about the tires. My wife's car wouldn't start and we happened to be in front of their shop. I was in the process of jumping her car as the gentleman from the store offered to use their jump box. Not only did they do that, they tested her battery and tightened the battery terminal. They didn't have to do any of this...they just did...so I'm giving them 5 stars for being good people. read more

If you are willing to turn down all their offers, and bring a coupon, you can get an oil change for fairly cheap here, but boy will they make you wait for it. I was told they were very free today, and that I could have my oil change done within 45 minutes, which seemed reasonable. I left, walked to the store to get some shopping done, came back 50 minutes later, and they hadn't even brought my car to the back yet... What's more, all the mechanics were just hanging around the water cooler (literally), when I got back, and it took them a solid hour more before they were finished. Lied to me trying to sell me a new blower motor for $600 even though there was only some leaves stuck inside the old one, took 20' to clean it up. I brought my car in to have my tires rotated and aligned. It turns out my car had bigger problems and needed much more work. The problem was when I went to pick it up they'd changed the air filter and put new windshield wipers on the car without ever mentioning that to me. I argued with the guy at the counter but it was late and the manager and tech were gone. He offered to discount the parts that they added on their own and I reluctantly agreed because it was late, I needed my car and was ready to go home. I understand part of these guys job is to up sell up sell up sell but at least have the decency to ask before replacing parts. If you're looking for an honest, trustworthy & professional auto shop I suggest you look elsewhere because this place is not one. It's been a couple weeks now and my car still doesn't drive straight. If you call ahead of time and make an appointment, then you won't run the risk of being turned away. Walk ins are generally frowned upon but they may offer drop-off for oil changes, and you can collect your vehicle at the end of the day. They are a very busy shop, and as I sit here in their waiting area, people have walked in late on their appts and aren't happy when told they missed their opportunity, but can reschedule for another time or do the drop off option. That's the customer's own fault - don't be upset with the techs! Too many adult spoiled brats expecting to get what they want when they want it. Anyways, they've always been respectful and have never talked down to me. They took me into the garage to show me the exact issues on my car that they wanted to address, which I appreciate. They are constantly offering discounts, coupons, and deals so I don't feel they are unreasonable. They even offered the guests waiting sandwiches, chips & drinks today (special occasion). Agree with previous posts about overcharging! I called to get a price quote on replacing a belt. First he asked how much I was quoted elsewhere. Of course I didn't want to say as that was the nature of my call. My regular auto place didn't have it in stock and we needed it for an upcoming road trip so I was stuck calling around. When he gave me the quote it was so high I thought he looked up the wrong part. I told him that was almost 3 times the cost of an auto place down the road. THE WORST EXPIRENCE OF MY LIFE!! I had brought my car in because it needed the brakes changed and my power steering replaced. 4,000 dollars and 4 days later I received the car back, nothing was fixed i still couldn't use my steering but now my airbags and cruise control no longer worked. So we took it back in the next day to get looked at. 9 DAYS LATER we finally got a hold of them to check on any progress and they has said that they lost a part but found it and are now fixing the car. My husband just picked it up an NOTHING WAS FIXED!!! The airbags, steering and cruise still doesn't work. My car has been returned to me in worse or equal condition to when I brought it in TWICE!! We asked if we could just get our money back so we could go to somewhere that could actually do the job and they said they would call us back tomorrow only to find out they will be closed for the next 3 days. One of the mechanics was acting less than professional, but the manager surely stepped up and reprimanded the employee and comped our service! I have never had a negative experience here. They have always taken the time to explain the services performed, associated costs, and recommended services. I try to keep myself informed and regularly take care of my car- they have never recommended something unexpected or out of the ordinary. In fact, they are very clear when they make a recommendation based on mileage and not necessarily something they saw in an inspection. There have been times I haven't been able to have work done same-day, and they are not pushy when I have politely declined. I have always waited in the center and the work has been completed in a reasonable amount of time (oil changes, brake pads, tire rotations, and alignment). They do sometimes experience busy fluctuations of phone calls - but they do their absolute best to maintain a positive customer experience. read more

My battery dead a couple of weeks back, I searched online and they have a coupon for good price on a battery so I came in...Of course they don't carry that battery for my car which the coupon can be applied, and of course they only have a very expensive AGM type that fits my car, that's fine, I'll pay full price as I'm tired of having to jump start every time.
