I expect this will be my last trip into Firestone. I've been getting my oil changed here for a couple years and have simply ignored their other service recommendations. This last visit was just too much for me to keep that up. I came in for an oil change. They recommended tires, which were needed (I got a better tire elsewhere for less), but what absolutely blew me away was their recommendation for a new engine air filter. I'd replaced it less than a month earlier. They even included a helpful picture of a fairly dirty filter on top of my battery - only problem is that wasn't my filter. I just checked (and took my own pic) over a month after my visit and mine still looks great. Air filters are one of the easiest things to replace, typically requiring no tools, making them one of the fastest ways for shops to make money. This is one of the most basic tests for how honest a shop is. Sorry Firestone, you couldn't have failed harder. They also recommended replacing portions of my suspension (verbally, not detailed on the "Courtesy Check") so I brought my car into my mechanic. My suspension is fine (huh, whoever snuck into my garage and replaced the air filter must have also worked on the suspension), but it turns out that the oil pan gasket and filter are badly leaking. After a month of driving, the oil was already fairly sludgy simply because of buildup in the oil pan (assuming it was fresh when they put it in). In other words, even the service that was performed had to be redone. Sure, it costs a bit more to have your oil changed at a shop that uses ASE certified mechanics but this is a good reminder to me why it's worth it. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. They ruined my car. Please be careful if you take your vehicle here. I highly do NOT recommend this shop. They do not take responsibility or acknowledge their own mistakes. I took my 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid to this shop for a full vehicle inspection on 02/10/2026. I was told that my battery and oil were in good condition and that only my brakes needed repair. Based on that, I approved and paid for the brake work. Shortly after the brake service, my car began showing multiple warnings including "Check Brake System," "Check VSC System," and "Check 4WD System," which had never appeared before. I brought the car back on 02/27/2026 and had to pay for a towing truck because the vehicle was not functioning properly. At that point, I was told that the battery and oil were actually not in good condition, which directly contradicted the original inspection. I was then advised to replace the battery, which I paid for. I was extremely distressed, and the only explanation I received was "we don't know" and "we aren't responsible for what happened in those two weeks," even though I only use my car to commute between home and work. Now, on 02/28/2026, the car is still not working and is showing the exact same issues. I am once again stuck and had to arrange another towing truck. Despite paying for a battery replacement based on their recommendation, the problem remains unresolved. Overall, I experienced inconsistent and contradictory diagnostics, significant unexpected costs (including multiple towing charges), and a complete lack of accountability. I strongly recommend others to be extremely cautious and to seek a second opinion before proceeding with any repairs here. read more

I brought my work van here for new tires and the staff was rude. Usually when I come here they're pretty nice so it was definitely unexpected. When they called me to tell me it would be longer they were not friendly at all. I had an 8am appt and it took until 5pm for the tires to get put on. 3 hours later after picking it up on of the tires was flat so I had to bring it back again the next day. Scheduled and alignment as I had just purchased the vehicl (2002 Nissan Xterra SE 4x4) and was returning home from picking it up, arrived was told it would be some time berfore they were done, fine ok. Upon return was told I needemy oil changed as it was quite dirty, hmmmm strange I had just changed the oil and filter two days before. Pay for the alignment (they added a b.s. 20 bay fee to what they quoted me on the phone) and then the tech tells me they only adjusted the toe because Caster and Camber are not adjustable from the factory. Sounded kind of hinky but needed my vehicle. Driving down the road my steering is offset about 10 degrees from center and its still pulling to the drivers side when braking. Get underneath and the inner tie rod is obviously bad at connection to centerlink and WOW, right there before my eyes are adsjustable Cambe and Caster bolts attaching the upper control arms to the frame. So in the end vehicle is not aligned to have the steering wheel centered, they jacked me for a service bay fee of 20$, try to play me for an oil change and aligned a vehicle with an obviously bad tie-rod end. I went to this Kirkland location to get two tires for a road trip. They destroyed my rims by grinding the paint off down to the metal on both sides. They returned my car back to me and didnt say anything about the damage to the wheels and continued to collect the $1000 for payment of the two tires. I noticed the damage when I got home and was back within 15 minutes. The guy admitted to doing the damage but I was leaving the state first thing in the morning. When I got back I followed up and they started denying everything. They even pretended not to know their own managers so I came back the next day when he was at work. Gave me nothing but attitud, made me wait for like 45 mins while customers that came in after me were being helped. Corporate told me to run around and get bids, which I did which took time and lost work because Im at work during business hours. They kept running me around back and forth and then had me go all the way to North Marysville(1 hr drive one way) to talk to some guy that knows about mounting tires at their other location. At this point im about 4-5hrs into this process. The gentleman agreed that they damaged the wheels but corporate kept running me around. Long story short I never got paid or reimbursed. Been shopping at Firestone for 30 years. They committed fraud because they knew they damaged my aftermarket wheels but when I came back to pick up and pay they took my money without saying a word hoping I wouldn't notice. Straightforward fraud but also being disrespectful and hostile. I will never go back to that place again. Been going across the street to a competitor ever since and havent had a single issue. Whats funny is that the day before I dropped the car off for a seperste inspection service but when I came to pick it up they said they couldn't get it off the ground because it was lowered. My 3-ton floor jack gets under it fine. The best part is how they managed to change the tires if they couldn't "get it off the ground". And the wheel that was the worst somehow ended up on the passenger side which was originally on the driver side and where they parked my car was weird because it was all the way at the end of the row with the bad side against some bushes So I wouldnt notice. I like this location and the service I usually get, but I had a fairly bad experience recently that I attribute to the booking system. I made an online appointment online for an oil change and called the morning of to confirm. The appointment wasn't in the system and only drop offs, with an unknown service time, was available. Since I was on a time crunch, I had to go somewhere else but I was surprised to see a confirmation email come in later on in the day. When I called back to cancel the appointment, as I had already gotten my oil changed, my appointment was still not on the local system. I have been a Firestone customer for a long time. I trust them to address any auto issues that I experience. They explain everything well. Jack is my go to guy. They handle almost anything auto related. Best of all if you get your tires replaced here, they will fix flats for free. They offer all scheduled maintenance services, emission testing repairs with waiver work, tires, batteries etc. I have not had a major service done here. Wait times might be a bit long. Coffee in the waiting area could be a bit better. Facilities are decent. Scheduling via the app is fast and convenient. Give them a try and post your experience. read more

I came to get tires mounted and balanced as well as an alignment on a Nissan 350Z because they have a reasonably priced 4-wheel alignment. It turns out this is priced well because of the various charges they throw in addition to it. I got charged an extra $40 because I brought my own tires. Another $100 because they're considered "low profile" which is "anything 50 series and below". Mind you these are stock sized tires. On top of this the finished product was disapointing as there was leftover lubricant around the wheel and peeled paint on the rim of 2 out of the 4 wheels. Images attached. read more

I had a great experience with the store. I had a flat tire on Sunday and was glad to find out they were the only tire store open. I called the number and the customer service rep Bradly was very friendly and helpful. I explained to him the cause was a nail on the tire. He quickly gave me a reasonable estimate on the phone and ensured me I could get the car back on the same day. I took my car in and they pulled the nail out but accidently damaged the tire. They were honest about their mistake and offered me a new tire free of charge. I picked up the car only after one hour and was able to go to watch Super Bowl with my friends in time in a sport bar! Left here after a 3rd attempt for a simple alignment ‍. Ending up with my alignment getting more out of alignment for some reason, when the night before it was even. They lied to get out of doing work... when I say this, it's for 4-6 different reasons depending on how you group them up and expand on it. Saying we can't do this unless it's aftermarket... and having me point out that EVERYTHING was aftermarket and adjustable. Then saying we can't adjust the front any/ at all (although mentioning uneveness on each side they could've adjusted.) More than that, they said oh, we can't adjust your rear because this bolt is stripped. The bolt had nothing to do with the alignment and couldn't be pulled out because he would r take the wheel of and pinched the bolt in place. They told me to buy aftermarket parts such as front camber mounts (even though I just wanted the tears adjust, but okay lemme buy $500 mounts and put it in for you and do all the work)to be able to do this and that. Costing me more money than is actually necessary. They left things loose and untightened. Right now, my car doesn't have windshield wipers on, the alignment is more askew, and they left the trim pieces and stuff in my trunk saying "we figured you'd put it In Yourself" okay... I just paid all this money and had you waste my time to get this and that done, before all my appointments, I call in, confirm, ask if they want me to do anything to make things easier on them, etc. When they take advantage and then get lazy after saying they'll do it, handing me my car with pieces in the trunk after 3rdattempt at an alignment, they'll loosen the camber bolts to adjust it, but then they don't tighten 2 /4on 1 side and 4/4 on the other. Why? They don't want to take of 3 screws and want to charge for it, even though they caused it. They told me I had to buy after market front camber as well. I installed it and they still can't align things?! There's a catch 22 to that. You are the ones that loosened the bolts and confirmed everything, only to leave my car in unsafe driving conditions. So until my alignments ACTUALLY done or I get a refund so I can get my alignment done elsewhere, or you make my care safe to drive without loose parts, I'll be content. Once upon a time.. yes.. a fairy tale. I used to frequent this place for oil changes & front end alignment, but alas, those days have ended. They would typically match coupons, or had a reasonable deal available, but those days have ended. Case in point:$49.99 coupon for an all synthetic oil change. ($85 at the dealer).Well.. guess what? After all their extra charges, plus tax.. $94! And a comment.. "That's an expensive car to have an oil change." Yeah.. a real exotic 2013 Volvo. BE ADVISED.. Find another place for the work.. 6/30. Over the years I have taken a dozen plus cars (Land Rover, Porsche, Ford Raptor) there for oil changes, alignments, tire rotations, suspension, brakes, and various other work. My car failed emission check,so I made appointment at 9 am with Chris at Firestone. That is my only car, so after leaving it at shop and agreeing to pay $150 for diagnostic!? I left on foot .After 3 hours, and no one called me I got to the shop on rainy day and noticed that my car is on same place.After they couldn't find my paperwork I asked them if they even touch my car since it was on same spot as I left it .They told me that it is possible ??? and ask me to sit for 1 hour more.I refused ( my shoes where wet from walking) and left that incompetent management place .BE ADVISED.. Terrible Firestone location. I've been turned away 3 times now for an oil change (fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...). I know they don't make their money on oil changes, but their lack of service isnt wining me over to buy other services here. 1st time: walk-in 2 hours before closing-- couldn't do it, too busy. 2nd time: called ahead to make appt-- was told no appt needed for an oil change. Walked in 2 hours before closing and was turned away. 3rd time: called ahead to set an appt. I insisted on an appt in fact for 4:30. I walked in and they had no record of this and had deleted my info from a previous service done here before these instances. They werent very busy, so i expected about an hour. An hour passed and my car wasnt even in the bay. Mike then told me they wouldnt be able to get to it for at least another hour. Meanwhile Mike and another employee are sitting around talking-- I've been to other locations where the manager and front desk staff help out in the shop. You might be wondering why I came here 3 times. It is very close to my house, I have had good luck with the Ballard location and other locations in the past and beside Firestone and Jiffy Lube, everyone else closes by around 5:30, which means they wont take a car in after 3 or 4pm--which doesnt work for me. Jack and Nick take extra care to ensure all my concerns are addressed, they take the time to fight it out with the warranty company on my behalf to save me money, and they always do a fantastic job. In an industry known for taking advantage of customers and pushing repairs that aren't warranted, it is refreshing to find an honest garage that I can trust. I recommend them highly. ***UPDATE 12/10/2012*** Something has happened at Firestone in Totem Lake. I am not sure what is going on, but the last several times I have gone there, I have been left very dissatisfied, and most recently with work still needing to be performed on my car due to their shop being careless. I ordered a new set of tires for my truck, and dropped off my car to have them put on the next day. the following afternoon I came in to get it, the tires had NOT been installed. OK, they were busy. I'm told I will have to wait another 1 1/2 hours. fine. I go to lunch. while outside I see Sergei who is doing my tire install... he brings over a blue thing,.. it's my tire pressure sensor. something about it being zip tied to the rim. I give it back to him. but, I look... They are putting THE WRONG TIRES ON MY CAR! I asked Sergei why he was putting the tires I didn't order on my car, and he said they didn't have the ones I wanted so they are putting these ones on instead!? Going inside, I asked Jack, who told me that the ones I wanted were the wrong size, they didn't have them in the area. These tires were of higher quality (how would I know) and higher price but he would sell for same (again, they don't have price tags, so how would i know). I'm stuck. its the same price, so I let them finish, and take my car. Tire pressure sensor failure light comes on. he forgot to put it back in the tire. needless to say, I will not be bringing my car back to them. it's unfortunate, they used to be very good, but I am not sure what happened. their customer service, and communication has gone out the window. read more

I came here for an alignment. I have a lowered car and the rear camber is pretty bad. I was told that there was a special on the lifetime alignment, but then that it didn't apply to my car. I was told that they could do the alignment on my vehicle before I waited to get it into the garage. No problem. Then, when the car was in the garage, I was told that that an alignment couldn't be done because the vehicle has different size tires on the front and back of the car. I explained that I needed the alignment to fit the rear tires that I wanted to install. They said it couldn't be done until all 4 wheels were the same size. So I went home and changed 1 tire and came back to Firestone. I also purchased a new tire so that I could have all 4 tires/wheels the same size on the vehicle. Then, I waited again to get the alignment. After a couple of hours, I was told that an alignment couldn't be done on the vehicle, as it just wasn't an option on the vehicle. At this point, I was pretty disappointed, as I had waited around, gone home and swapped tires, and then purchased another tire just to get the alignment. When I got back out to my car, the front door was catching on the side trim of the car. I went in to explain that this was not the case before its going into the shop. The salesman and the mechanic came out to check it out and I complained about having to buy a tire for an alignment I couldn't get and how I didn't want to also take my car home in worse shape than I'd brought it in. At this point, the mechanic that had worked on my car offered to refund the tire and asked the salesman to process the refund. I thought that was actually really cool of him. The shop didn't get any money from me after refunding me for the tire and not being able to do the alignment, but I also spent most of my Saturday there at Firestone. I don't fault them too much for not being familiar with the vehicle, but imagine it could have been seen that the rear is not adjustable for camber when it was first in the shop before I changed tires. I don't think it's a huge negative and I'd come back here if I needed to get into the shop. It's great that they're open on weekends! read more
