Went in on a Thursday afternoon after discovering a screw in my tire. The inside crew did fine, the technician that worked on my car was a fraud. Brought me a piece from a screw, sent me a workup of multiple nails in my tire (not true) and a bad battery (not true either). Saturday morning, the screw I went in for was still in my tire!! Called and made an appointment for Sunday. The Sunday crew (Peter, Eduardo and the young lady) were amazing. Actually, listened to me and addressed all of my concerns and kept me informed on everything going on. I ended up having to buy a new tire because of where the screw was in the tire while there, I got an oil change as well. There have been a few ups and downs at this location for me, but I am thankful for all the rights for sure. Thank you Sunday crew for showing up and helping ease my concerns. read more

I drove by this location today to get a tire plugged. The man that I spoke to said he could not do it today. He said they were trying to wrap up the day. Keep in mind it was 4;10 pm. I said it only has to be plugged! He laughed and gave me some excuse. I left very mad. Do NOT go to this location. Pitiful service. read more

I made an appointment online. Requested oil change and state inspection. Arrived the next day for my appointment and was told the person who did state inspections does not come in on those days (that day). This was first disappointment. Then, of course, they came up with several other things that needed fixing. The brake fluid needed to be drained and replenished. The tire (spare was on) needed to be fixed, they said it had a nail. The air filter needed to be replaced and the windshield wipers were torn and needed to be replaced before it could pass inspection. They wanted $53 for wipers so I said no thanks. Right after leaving there we went to a stand-alone inspection place and it passed. I asked about the wipers and he said they were fine, just dirty. They also sold wipers btw. Now, the tire they fixed is already losing air after only 4 days!!!! Just beware. Seriously disgusting bathroom as well. read more

It's been a few years since I've been in this location and I decided to give it another go since I have a lifetime alignment and their reviews seem better then other Firestone locations. I really liked it this time around and it is highly likely that I will start bringing my car here more often for various things. I am happy with the quality of the alignment that they did, and Dwight was very friendly and pleasant to work with. As expected there was no cost for the alignment, and I was also pleased that there was not any attempt to upsell me on miscellaneous stuff that I may or may not have really needed. I got the alignment I came in for and did not leave feeling like my car was going to fall apart if I didn't spend an extra bunch of money. I also was glad they had cold bottled water in the waiting area, and free and usable Wi-Fi. Made the weight a lot more pleasant and I was able to walk over to Sprouts and get some shopping done. Definitely pleased overall and will plan on returning. read more

I cannot urge you more to stay away from this and all Firestone locations. They sell you tires with crazy long warranties and when the time comes for them to honor the warranty, 9/10 times they will find a way to blame it on you and get out of having to provide a tire rebate. All they do is up sell, they really have no regard for the customer, they just care about their bottom line. Highly recommend staying away from this company. If you need an oil change, go to a local shop. If you need tires go to Discount Tire. read more

The customer service here is fantastic. I went in for an oil change. They don't try to upsell you on unnecessary things. I did need a new battery and a filter ( which I figured since it had been forever). Even though they were busy, they made sure to have me out by a certain time. read more

I am not sure that Firestone actually hires mechanics anymore. Only "technicians" who just hook a car up to a computer. Firestone then checks / replaces sensors for $500 each and never fix your problem. "Your car is ready, come get it. Please sign here and pay +$500." You get in your car and nothing was fixed. They actually ran their diagnostic check on my car with a major part of my engine not connected and laying across a large part of the engine. I asked them if they even checked under the hood? "Your technician never saw that hanging off of the fuel injector?" No response just deer in the headlights look. Understaffed and looking to just run revenue. Not a place to take your car other than new wipers. Nice people but not qualified. Too expensive to never fix your car. Go elsewhere. read more

Came here to get a tire pressure sensor replaced on one of my tires and quoted me $200 to remove and replace the sensor. Went up the street to discount tire where it was a completely free diagnostic and replaced the sensor for $70. Do not go here unless you want to be ripped off. read more

I went in for an oil change, was told by the guy at the counter that they were too busy. That would've been fine but then he started making comments about my appearance, telling me that I "didn't need a nose ring" and I was "pretty enough without it". He was old enough to be my dad. Due to a bad experience many years ago I vowed never to go back to this Firestone. Fast forward to yesterday, I decided to take it in for a few service items that I was told would be rather easy, and that they would "definitely" have my truck ready by 4...it wasn't ready by 4, and they found more things that need to be repaired. The said a battery cable needed to be replaced, but then when I called later they said he was still working on it and it would take another few hours to replace - as it turns out it was a $275 battery harness - not a battery cable. On top of all this, I pick my truck up and the AC is not working....and of course they can't get to it immediately. Bottom, line, do not go here unless you are prepared for disappointment. read more

I don't recommend this location because I took my car in for a oil change and they told me it was going to take three hours. But when I went back to get my car it wasn't ready. I called before going but no one answer and when I told them that I called. I didn't even get apology from them or an explanation as to why they didn't work on my car. My coworker got her oil change as well but they forgot to tightening a part of the lid. The oil spilt all over her garage. read more

I called and asked if an oil change and coolant flush could be done by 2:30 if I had the car there by 11:15. I was assured it could be done. I got a call at 1:35 verifying what I wanted done. At 2:35 I walked in and both procedures were just getting started. I had to call an Uber and miss my dogs get appointment. I will never be here again. Scheduled an oil change with the Firestone on Campbell Road in Richardson yesterday for 9:30 a.m. this morning. Upon arrival, I was greeted by an older gentleman that seemed to be bothered that I was there. When I told him I had an appointment for an oil change he asked for my information and checked his computer. Upon confirming my information, he asked if I was going to drop off the vehicle. I told him no and that when I made the "reservation" I indicated I would wait. He then told me it would be a 1 1/2 hour wait. His explanation was that there were other customers ahead of me. When asked why Firestone took reservations, I heard crickets. I left Firestone and was able to get my oil changed in 15 minutes at Arapaho Automotive located at Arapaho and W Shore. They unlike Firestone were fast,, courteous, and reasonably priced. Firestone, after so many similar experiences with your rudeness and taking me for granted as a customer, you're dead to me. read more

I have to say.. the last time I went to a Firestone Service Center they usually will push you to buy stuff and then charge you for stuff that you didn't want. I decided to go to this one since my wife took her vehicle in for tires when I was deployed. She received great service so I thought I would check it out. Very friendly... didn't push you for anything you didn't need.. and took care of my tires and even placed a lug nut that was missing on my truck at no charge. That's twice in a row in my family. I scheduled an appointment to get my oil changed at this location this morning using the online appointment request...and received a confirmation. When I showed up to get my oil changed the guy I spoke with said we don't take same day appointments...I had the confirmation pulled up on my phone! He then preceded to tell me that I would need to sit down and wait for them to get to my car. I asked about how long it would take...keep in mind JUST an oil change...he said about 1 1/2 hours!! What?! Needless to say I left and went down the street and had my oil changed and was in and out of Mobil 1 (also on Campbell in Richardson) within 20 minutes. They weren't pushy trying to say I needed other work done and were very nice and efficient. read more

I work a few blocks from this store and I'm glad they're close by. Thursday afternoon, I was leaving work and tried to start my car. It wouldn't. I gave them a call since I'd used them before. Will answered and arranged for a wrecker to pick my car up. Because it was an hour from closing time, they couldn't look at it right away, so they kept it overnight. Randy, the owner, called me the next day and gave me the bad news. Not only did they have to put in a new battery (which was due anyway), but the fuel pump and the secondary fuel pump needed replacing. He had to order the parts and the mechanic did 4 hours of work. Saturday afternoon, I got a call from Randy informing me that my car was ready, but I was out of town for the weekend. Randy said I could pick it up on Monday. I feel a little silly now, going to gas stations pumping up my tire periodically at $0.75 a pop for the past month in this crazy summer heat when I could've just gone to Firestone all along and get my nail-in-tire issue fixed permanently and for free. They did checks on the other three tires at no charge as well. And they didn't try to upsell me. They were understaffed (it was Sunday after all and I'm grateful it was open Sunday), but they didn't take the madness out on the customers. My total bill was $0.00. This is my second time going to this location - and I highly recommend it. Randy, the managing partner, is honest and helpful and easy to work with. He gave me the rundown on what was necessary for repairs now and what was just a maintenance recommendation - so I could decide what to repair now. Also, he definitely goes above and beyond to make it a good experience - finding coupons for me and telling me how to get future discounts too. He has also dropped me (and other customers) off at work or home so we didn't have to sit in the store to wait for our cars to be ready. This Firestone location is definitely worth a visit - and ask for Randy for the best service! read more

I was having battery problems not too long ago and needed a new battery, As every time I turned my car off, it wouldn't start again unless it was jumped. I was in the parking lot near the Firestone and pulled on around to the front of the store and I saw that they were closing in five minutes. I ran in and told them of my dilemma, that I needed a battery and my car was running and I couldn't turn it off! They checked their stock and had the right size battery, just my luck! They took my car into the garage, worked on it, closing time rolled around and a few minutes later, I had a new battery that worked! I was pleased and impressed that they took my car in with just three or four minutes left before closing. And they graciously installed the new battery! The price seemed very fair and the mechanic and sales clerk was very friendly. I did have another car in there before for an inspection for oil leaks and they gave me an honest evaluation on what they thought needed to be done. Overall, no complaints. I would check them out again. At least use them for an inspection and get a quote before any work is done. read more

had my truck front end alignment done had to go back because it did not stay aligned so I went back and now they say my battery is bad and alternator is bad and I no about trucks i know what they did they left my lights on for a while they said on my way out your battery is low and it might die on you so I took that chance and I took the truck home and left it running and went back out side after 20 min turn the truck off and it started right up Firestone your trash the store manger is a pice of shit try to con me out of 1000 dollars call the better Business bureau on these people she even hung the phone up in my face . read more

My car broke down very close to this auto repair shop. They made the approved repairs by the end of the day but were very expensive and didn't use the proper type of hose clamps for the radiator hoses. This may eventually crack the radiator inlets because they are made of plastic. After pointing this out to the manager he said he would order the OEM hose clamps but there would be an additional charge. They should hav done the work right the first time. I would not recommend this repair shop to anyone. read more

I'm writing this review to help prevent others, especially women, from experiencing potential rip off tactics. We have taken various vehicles to the Richardson Campbell Rd. location through the years. Recently, we took a Toyota SUV in for a repair that turned into several trips, with increases of about a $500 estimate on the second trip. Without going into too much detail, we had researched the problem on line & felt pretty confident in what the problem was. They instead replaced another part and it had to be taken back the second time to replace the right part. The first part replaced just changed the original problem into a new problem. They charge a diagnostic fee, that is NOT refundable & WILL NOT be applied to any work you decide to have done. Most repair shops I have worked with, apply the $100 diagnostic fee to any work you have done. I called another Firestone & it is their company policy to take your $100 diagnostic fee and keep it, regardless of any work you have done. Problem is, they DO NOT tell you that up front! I considered it quite deceptive; they choose not to tell you. Let the buyer beware! I would be more specific about the repairs, but want to avoid any retribution by the staff. When I first took the vehicle in, I told them that we had researched the problem & told them the part name that we wanted checked. They boldly assured me that their mechanic has been there for 20-something years and is excellent. There was also a noise that we informed them about, but they discounted that information completely & actually told me they 'weren't concerned about it." What really upset me the most, was upon delivery of the vehicle the first time, I was told that the battery cables were corroded so badly that the cable would need to be spliced and repaired. Scare tactics were also used to tell me how dangerous this job can be & how I should really consider letting them do the work for about $60-$70. I said no thanks and drove it home & asked my husband to take a look. He popped the hood and came back in and told me the battery & cables looked as good as the day it was new! I'm sure some or most of the people there may be honest & I'm not positive who was the bad apple here, but I have a pretty good idea; the guy who said that to me. I'm not going to mention his name, but you get the idea. Subsequently, we took the vehicle to Toyota Plano, who had serviced it in years past. Their diagnostic fee DOES apply toward any work done. They repaired the part we initially asked Firestone to check on. Their fee was very reasonable and Toyota Plano has always treated us fairly & like valued customers. I highly recommend them if you have a Toyota repair! Stay away from this Firestone, esp. if you're a woman, or have a significant or unusual repair! read more

I live nearby and someone advised me to go here and was so appreciative of how they advised me to go to Toyota to get my car fixed bcs they would do it for free. I did not know my part was still covered under my 80,000 warranty but the mechanics at firestone did and could have advised me to have it fixed there. While I was there they also took time to talk with an older gentleman and although he required extra attention and service, the mechanics took time and were sure to ask him if there was anything he did not understand. He then started talking about his grandchildren and they listened and paid him great respect. read more

Went yesterday for a state inspection to Kwik Kar and was told I needed new brakes in the front and back. Tech stated there were no pads left. When I inquired about the price he got a $20 discount from the manager so it was going to cost $280. I let him know that I would need to come back after I got some other quotes. He reiterated that I would fail my inspection and I told him that was okay. I took my car to Firestone up the street and told them I needed brakes and a quote. They checked and no brakes were needed. Not even close. I have been going to Kwik Kar for inspections and oil changes for both my cars for years. No more but I sure will recommend Firestone at 1321 W Campbell. Got my inspection and am $300 richer. read more

If you want someone to yell at you, change a battery and battery cable keep you waiting for 2 hours and bill you $120 for labor, $270 in total, I'm sure this store would be the best fit. Help your money to get out of your pocket while providing very bad services. I would give zero star if I can, because this is amazing. read more

This facility needs a complete change in management. The shop manager, Brad, continually makes promises he cannot keep. While were waiting our turn we saw three different customers come in and complain that their vehicle was not complete despite having given the shop way longer than promised to repair the vehicle. In one case, according to the customer, Brad promised the vehicle would be ready in 1 1/2 hours, the customer returned in 4 hours, Brad promised it in another 20 minutes, and the customer had still waited an additional hour before we left. We took a friend's truck in to have a noise in the wheel checked. The shop told us the wheel bearings were bad on both from wheels and while they had the off the tie rod ends were wearing and should be replaced as well as both front tires. We agreed to the repair and Brad promised, in front of three witnesses, the truck would be ready that afternoon. We left the truck and called the next morning to make sure it was ready to be picked up. Brad replied "Oh, I didn't know you wanted it today! We can probably have it ready by 4:00" We decided to go to the shop and wait, in person, to assure they were actually working on it. When we arrived at noon I asked Brad how long he thought the repair would take. He said "a couple of hours." I replied, "your confident in that time?" Brad replied "Completely." We ended up leaving the shop between 3:30 and 4:00. While waiting the shop personnel came out to show us two parts that "broke" while they worked on them and were told the shop would throw the extra parts in for free. I've taken cars to the shop for 40 years to have front end work and this is the first time I've ever seen a shop break one much less two parts in one session. The man working the cashier's desk was the only bright spot of this whole mess. He was VERY friendly and VERY helpful. Hopefully he will continue to work for the NEW MANAGEMENT this place desperately needs. Until they get new management I would avoid it at all costs. Pay a towing fee, if necessary, but stay away from this shop. read more

Best mechanic shop I have ever gone to, hands down!

I've been coming here since my first car. They are great and provide excellent customer service. Being a female, a lot of shops try the oh she's a girl approach and thankfully they do not have that attitude. Ben is the current store manager and I got to tell you I was apprehensive when they promoted him and moved Randy to another location. But much to my surprise he has treated my family and I very well. The few times over the years I have had an issue with people at the store it was handled professionally and quickly. Gotta love a mechanic that I can rely on to be honest and give their much appreciated opinion like when trying to buy a new car and asking well what have you heard about this one. I gotta say it's nice to find a corporation that has the same feel as a family owned shop. read more

I take my car here every time I need an oil change or anytime I need a repair. This has always been a great place to go, the employees are very helpful and patient, and since I'm a regular customer, it's really nice to have employees smile and show gratefulness that I continue to use them for my auto repair and tire needs. It's at a great location, too, so if you want to stay close but don't feel like sitting around, there's plenty to do. You can walk to Sprouts or have some cookies at Reverie bakery... This is definitely a fantastic location. I plan on always going here whenever I need repairs or oil changes or state inspections. read more

I broke down at the coit and campbell light and just happened to drift into the parking lot of Firestone. I had my 2 and 3 year old in the car with me and I was sort of panicky because my husband is out of town on buisiness. The tech Roger and the manager, Randy Siegel, was amazing and so very kind. They helped me with the kids, got my bags out, stood by the kids while I got my purse and called a friend to help, jumped me off, then pulled my car into the bay. They assured me everything was going to be ok, and I felt like they honestly cared about me and my family being safe and on my way. I was SO impressed! Thank you, Firestone!! read more

My "04 Suburban went in for A/C service in early July, 2011. They first ignored the research we had done online that indicated what the problem turned out to be, and changed the A/C control unit. After paying $475 for that, they figured out they neither had the expertise, nor the tools to re-program the unit at the shop, and referred me to the Chevy dealer. The dealer found the problem to be the exactly what my own research found (temp. door actuators), and replaced them (pretty darn expenive). The dealer then commented that Firestone should have never touched the control unit, and I should get my money back. When following up with the shop, the Managing Partner had zero interest in either: a) keeping a customer; b) offering an apology; c) admitting that they could have handled things differently. What would have made this better? Any effort at all by the manager to make a good faith effort to compromise on this. A free oil change. Something. Anything. It didn't happen, and can't recommend that you invest your hard earned money there. read more
