I called Hi-Five after getting a shockingly high price quote from my 'regular guy' to swap out a headlight bulb that I was having problems with getting the old bulb out due to the 'unwillingness' of the little fastener holding it in place. The guy at High Five requested I bring the car on over and he would take a look at it. And they had a great deal of trouble with the little fastener as well, but, when all was said and done, he just charged me $20.00! Came in this morning, with no appointment, for a synthetic oil change and a state inspection. They started right away and it only took 20/25 minutes for both! We walked over to Communion coffee while we waited and came back and they were finished. I called a few places beforehand, and they were all around $20 more than it cost here. I looked on Groupon, and Hi Five's oil synthetic change was about the same price as the Groupons, but no coupon needed. I also usually feel like the workers are trying to get me to spend more money when I go in for an oil change, and I didn't feel that at all here. Will definitely come back! read more

I've worked on cars all my life...sometimes I fix them! =P~ I've also owned my own Mechanic Shoppe previously in the 90's. I know cars but I'm a bit too decrepit & bleary-eyed to work on them any longer. I've never had any sort of anything less than a stellar experience at High-5 Auto. Every-time I have an issue fixed/addressed, Ahmed assures me that I don't need this or that even though I usually insist on it. Prices?? As I always say when I pay: "It's only HALF of what I expected!" He is quick to laugh & almost always there unless it's prayer-time. I also know people & Ahmed & his team are HUMAN BEINGS....they're not perfect as most human-beings are also unfortunately constituted, however? they are HUMANE & that is a TONNE more than I can say about some of the supposed "People" [Abid I.] that are here leaving harassing negative repeated comments & reviews as if they are somehow themselves Auto-Repair experts. Adverse situations do not develop "Character" it simply reveals it. Bad things happen to good people each & every day...it's not whether or not "Problems/Mistakes" are made but how they are handled that matters. I've been going to High Five for ages...through three cars of my own and five others my immediate family has owned. I have always gotten excellent, friendly service. Always at or below other shops' estimates (although I quit getting other estimates 7 years ago!). The owner is friendly, kind, remembers your name, asks about family. Bottom line, I trust him without a doubt to diagnose, fix the problem. I've been offered rides back home after dropping car off, the use of his personal car once or twice if repairs took more than a few hours. He's always squeezed us in it seems for quickies (inspections, etc) and that's not easy to do as he is in high demand simply because he delivers excellent, fair service. LOVE these guys! The shop is small and seems to always be busy. We have been taking both vehicles (Ford and VW) here for more than 5 years. They do everything from simple maintenance to more complicated repairs. The manager/owner guy is very conservative when suggesting repairs, so he doesn't try to stick a customer with costly repairs right off the bat. I don't care that they don't wash and vacuum my car when the service is completed. I DO care that I can trust their advise and their work. read more

This is the 2nd time I've been here. Make sure to get a quote in writing before they start anything. The first time I think the owner quoted me from the start and everything was wonderful. The second time one of the employees directly lied, stating that with a state inspection ($25), he would top off the fluid levels for no charge and let me know if my air filter needs to be replaced (and for $10 only, after I said that I do it myself usually and buy it cheap from Amazon). He even further specified that the total would be around $35. When it was time to pay, there was someone else who charged me $30 automatically for the air filter and $1 to top off the fluid levels. I didn't dispute the $1 charge. It's very reasonable, BUT, I was told that they never do a $10 charge for an air filter and that they need to be paid for their labor. The other employee would not come out to confirm. I was told bluntly that he never said that and they would take out the air filter because $10 is not worth it. I said I'll do $15 and they grudgingly agreed. The service was quick BUT if you are looking for a trustworthy place, I suggest some where else. Please don't lie about your prices and be honest and upfront. ** They even left the break fluid cap off. read more

The guys are extremely friendly, and honestly, quite inviting. I went in knowing exactly what was wrong with my car. Bad heater core. Like I said, total bummer. They knew it, they fixed it, and had me on my way. No more leaks. Just like that. In one day. I don't have much experience with mechanics but I have to say that I was very impressed. I brought my Highlander for a timing belt replacement and requested the parts to be returned to me. I noticed that all the parts were not returned so I brought it to his attention. It was late so he promised to check with his mechanic and call me. He called next day and asked me to bring the car back as the mechanic forgot to replace the full timing set. I took the car next day and parts were replaced. I am the only one who drives that vehicle and take very good care of it. The vehicle never went to any mechanic shop after that. I discovered yesterday, while replacing the oil, what was done to my car. 1- In order to lift the vehicle to remove the wheel well shield to get access to the crank pulley, the jack was put at the wrong spot severely damaging the underside of the body. 2- The engine was supported by some hard object when the mount was removed to get access to the timing belt. The oil pan is deformed from underneath. I am not sure what else was damaged. The mechanic who worked on my vehicle was probably not even a mechanic. An experienced mechanic does not forget to replace the full timing set, knows where to place the jack and knows that a piece of wood or something similar needs to be placed under the oil pan to avoid damage. I blame the owner for this damage since he is the one responsible. I paid him the full amount that I agreed to pay and had to make two trips in order to get the work done right and they damaged my vehicle. He should have made sure that the person working on his customer vehicles was qualified. It was his responsibility to make sure that the vehicle was returned in the same condition as he received it. I am not sure how many of his customers are driving with half of the parts replaced while he charged for the full service. He promised me that he will use Genuine Toyota Parts but I am not even sure of that now. The owner must be seeing this post and instead of telling me that somebody else damaged my vehicle, he should be hiring people who know how to work on cars. I have to pay double the amount that I paid him just to fix what his workshop damaged. If he is any fair, he should return what he charged and fix my vehicle that he damaged. I do give him credit for being honest that he did not replace the parts that he charged for and replaced them the next day. To all the naive people who have posted a positive review. Please go straight to a workshop that employs qualified people and have your vehicle evaluated. I would not risk my life driving a vehicle repaired (damaged) by incompetent and inexperienced workers at this place. Please see the pictured of the damage on their facebook page. This man is a rip off artist! I brought my BMW here explaining to him clearly that I have a coolant and oil leak. He said he fixed all the leaks and problems and assured me it is good to go. Turns out he didn't even touch any of the leaks and only tuned up the car. I brought it back and he fixed the coolant leak, yet one week later my leak is back, dripping all over the ground. These mechanics have no idea what they're doing, especially if you own a foreign car I highly recommend staying away from this company. The worst part is, Ahmed (the owner) won't ever admit his faults. If he doesn't deliver what he promises, he will be sure to justify himself.
