But instead of telling me they're running behind (cus one guy wasn't doing anything) they didn't bother to let me know. So after 30 minutes they finished ONE car. Then preceded to service another car ahead of me. So essentially they were trying to have me wait for an hour before getting to my car and not even a word about how long. I had a splendid experience. I thought I need an oil change, but it turned out I needed a coolant to be changed. I know this location can get hectic, so I decided to make an appointment where I mentioned I have a $20 off of oil change. Received a confirmation email with another coupon in it, all right!!! I learnt something new. Please try yourself! Saving money is crucial these days. I drove in, I am sure we all know how their system works, was helped right away, stayed in my car. Upon checking the oil, I have been told that it looks nice and clear, but it is a bit low. This young man told me he will not change my oil, and figured out that I will need a coolant change. Never had one, usually you do not need one until 100.000 miles, my car had 114.000 miles. Supposed to be a $125 but with coupons and kindness I paid much much less :) I looked up how much that cost at other places, found prices between $200-$400 and also a long wait time. It was still done in 10 minutes. I am so grateful for him and makes me happy that people who really care are still around. We have been getting our oil changed here for years, never been disappointed. This time was no different! I took my car in for an oil change and that's all I needed. The next day before church I had my oil pan light lit red on my dashboard. So I came back to them to resolve the issue. The mechanic checked everything to see if everything was ok to make sure the oil change was done correctly and put some oil to top me off. As soon as I head down the road the light came back on then my check engine light came on in yellow. I came back to see what was going on with my vehicle. This is the first time I have seen those lights on the entire time I owned the vehicle. He changed my oil again, did a diagnostic, and assessed my vehicle. The mechanic told me I needed to replace my oil pressure sensor and mentioned that when his co-worker started the process of changing my oil, he told him the oil cap was a bit tight. Then he told me I would need to look into replacing my oil pressure sensor because it might be time for a new one. He also mentioned the young woman who was parked next to me in a white Ford Focus had the same issue. How ironic. He didnt know that I knew that the oil pressure sensor could be damaged during the process of changing the oil if you are not careful. Now I am emailing corporate over the situation and they are telling me I need to go and pay for a diagnostic to prove my claim. This is after I emailed them the paperwork of the diagnostic that their mechanic gave me. So instead of taking responsibility they are trying to deflect and not take care of their customer who have been going to their locations for years. The service is truly going downhill. Especially after finding out from the mechanic that my access panel was not placed back on my vehicle from the last time I gotten my oil change from a different location off of Preston. I went in for a simple oil change and waited over 30 minutes in line, then another 20 minutes for what's supposed to be a "five-minute" service. I declined the upsells and left -- only to notice my truck smoking, something it had never done before. When I returned, the original techs were gone, and after waiting another half hour, I had to leave. Over the next few days, the problem worsened, so I took my truck to a reputable neighborhood shop. They discovered 16 quarts of oil in my engine -- double the correct amount -- and an unchanged, filthy oil filter. The oil had never been drained. This negligence could have caused severe engine damage. Thankfully, Bakers Automotive on Spring Valley caught the mistake before it did. They properly drained the excess oil, replaced the filter, and fixed everything -- all for a better price. The smoking stopped immediately. After three visits and nearly three hours wasted, Take 5's only solution was for me to "file a claim." At that point, if my refund meant that much to them, they could keep it -- I'll make sure everyone knows exactly how this business treats its customers. I had a very poor experience at Take 5. I sat there while multiple other customers were serviced, and no one communicated with me at all. I didn't receive any service, no explanation, no update, nothing. Staff continued helping other people as if I wasn't there. The lack of communication and basic acknowledgment was extremely unprofessional. If you're going to make customers wait or skip them, the least you can do is explain why. Today I had the genius idea of filling my car with oil after seeing it was low, but the foolish idea of applying 5 quarts without measuring...... All of a sudden, white clouds of smoke was coming outside of my exhaust. As I was panicking trying to figure out what I did to cause my exhaust to fume out smoke, I had the common sense to stop at Take 5. Christian and Quinton quickly noticed my RAV4's cloud of smoke, open a new lane for safety of the other vehicles and for immediate assistance. After making sure I was safe to remain inside the vehicle, they quickly diagnosed the problem. Long story short, I experienced amazing customer service, and learned something new! Although Take 5 may offer great service when they are open, they cannot be relied on to be open during their stated operating hours and thus cannot be planned around. My wife has been using Take 5 for a while now and finally convinced me to give it a shot. Google said they open at 9 AM and I was passing by at 8:40 so I decided to park there and wait. I noticed Yelp and the front door said 7 AM but assumed whatever, someone will be here soon. 9:10, an employee rolls up and goes inside. She came out a few minutes later to inform me they were opening at 10:00 today! I said, "the door says 7 AM, internet says 9 AM, what's going on here?" No explanation, didn't seem to care, just, "we're opening late today." This morning was the time I allocated and needed to get it done, so I found somewhere else down the street at a bit of random since I didn't have time to plan a better experience. I ended up paying more and had to stand outside in the cold because they don't do in-car oil changes and the tiny waiting room was full of people not wearing masks. In advance of the visit, together we called the store for pricing and they sent him a coupon via text for a $78 oil change that included standard items such as checking the fluids, new filter etc. I told him to present them the coupon and make sure they agree to the price before agreeing to the work. When he arrived and he showed them the coupon and the price, they proceeded to upsell him on things he didn't need including "premium oil". His car is 17 years old! It doesn't need premium oil and he is a kid. The total cost turned out to be close to $140. When he returned home, I called customer service and tried to talk to the store manager. They took my number and promised to call me back. They never did. They clearly took advantage of a young person who they could convince needed something that they obviously didn't need. Hopefully my kid will learn to stand his ground better in the future, but we won't be going here again. read more

Matt was super friendly and explained everything to me as they were under my car. Apparently my oil drain plug needed to be replaced and they did so for free. This location tends to be busy at times so it can take a while to get your oil change here but because you're in your car and you can see them working, you know you're not being jerked around. Same thing can be said for those of you who have ever wondered if that dirty air filter really came from your car. You can see them pulling it out before they explain to you why you need a new one. Here, they'll even show you when it's clean just to let you know it's been checked and you don't need to replace it. Worst experience getting my oil changed in the all the time I've been driving. The experience started great at first and the gentleman was nice. Then later that night when I was driving on the highway heading home with my 16 month old son, the cover on the bottom of my car (I'm not expert so I wasn't sure what it was at the time) starts dragging on the ground and I'm immediately worried. I luckily had AAA and had it towed back to the location for them to fix. Next morning received a call from the same guy, Jack, and he told me he fixed it and would work on getting a refund for me. I said great and appreciated it very much, no big deal I know it happens and he said he handle by Friday (4 days from that day). No call Friday. I followed up Tuesday and he apologized said something happened in his family and would call me back. No call back again that day. After being very patient I was frustrated and drove 30 min to the location to speak with him directly. I was very nice and calm and he immediately became defensive saying I need to call corporate at this point and there's nothing he can do. I said respectfully you could've told me that last week though and explained how the experience was awful for us and just wanted it remedied. He cut me off constantly as I was, again, calmly speaking to him. I asked for the managers name and info and he didn't give it to me. He then walked away and stayed in the office to where I was approached by another employee who explained he could've been a lot meaner and he's very nice. I don't care about that and it was inappropriate to say. Also as a woman, it made me very uncomfortable to have another employee approach me. I was simply wanting the problem to be resolved and had no issue with the store until Jack was defensive, dismissive and apparently can't handle a very small issue or any type of criticism. I called corporate and they handled it. I'll repeat that if he would've told me to just call corporate then I would've. I guess I was way too nice about the whole thing. Every year in Texas, we have to schlep on over to a state certified car inspector, fork over $25, and cross our fingers that our baby on wheels gets a passing grade. Take 5 pretty much specializes in doing inspections. They always have at least one and sometimes two inspectors on duty. Consequently, they can get you in and out within 20 minutes if there is no line. The downside, if there is a line, you'll need to tally the number of customers ahead of you and multiply times 20 to find out your wait time. On both occasions I've been here, I had to wait. My bad for coming after 4:30 when everyone is getting off work to get their inspections done. There is a clean, air conditioned waiting room, but no tv, no vending machine, no coffee/tea, and no WiFi. You're better off waiting in your car so you can at least listen to the radio and make sure you are ready to roll into one of the three bays when they become available. What I really like about this place: 1) Whether your car passes or fails inspection, they do NOT try to sell you on a bunch of other services. 2) If your car fails, they give you a report and explain why your car didn't pass inspection. In my case, my gas cap was faulty. The inspector suggested I go buy one at a local auto store like Auto Zone, and then come back to have the car reinspected. 3) If your car fails, and you've paid your $25 for inspection, you can have your car re-inspected within 15 days at no charge. That gives you enough time to get the problem fixed that showed up on your inspection report. 4) They open early and stay open late. You can get oil changes here as well as get minor issues fixed like replacing your windshield wipers. I'll be back next year! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. First of all, after waiting in line for an oil change, they tell me 5hey can't help me because my oil cap was broken. I drive to AutoZone to buy a replacement only to discover there is NOTHING wrong with my oil cap. It's perfectly fine. After returning the cap I just purchased and returning, they admitted they were just unfamiliar with my after market cap. They then proceeded to check my tire pressure. When I return home, I discover none of my tire valve stems were replaced. Next morning... 2 flat tires. I take them to be replaced, and they too are perfectly fine. My wife tipped these assholes $20, because they were nice.. I wish I could get it back. Avoid this place. UPDATE: Just realized today that I was sold the wrong wiper blades. I SPECIFICALLY mentioned to the technician that I wanted to replace all three of my blades, but only if they had the smaller sized wipers that I need for the rear window of my SUV. He went to check, came back and told me that they had them and we were good to go. Fast forward to today. I check my wipers because it's supposed to rain, and I notice I have the same 19" wiper on the back that they installed in front. It's SO long it doesn't make contact with the window because of the overhang. Smh. read more

I've been coming to this location for oil change and State inspection for years due to convenience of this being right next door. Every time I come, I feel like I'm just inconveniencing these guys for being there. One time, they didn't tighten the oil drain plug in my wife's car, and I had quite a mess in the garage next day and a scare that something was seriously wrong. They've failed me on inspection for gas cap, wiper blades, and the last time they just refused to do an inspection due to a missing lug nut! The inspection guy acts like he just looks for an excuse not to do his job. What a waste of time these guys are. If you want rude, lazy service, come to this location. read more

So I moved the truck and went inside to tell them what I wanted done. Only to be met with the same guy telling me I had to stay inside the office. So when another attendant went to speak with my wife I stepped outside to let him know what I wanted done. Then the same guy yelled at me to get back in the office. So I responded with Shut Up!
