I got a alignment from Firestone and when I drove away I noticed it was pulling to the right. I called them a couple days later and rescheduled to have it adjusted. When I went back and I told him it was pulling to the right. I watch them put it on the alignment rack and then they never test drove it to see if it was fixed. They gave me my truck back and it was still pulling to the right. I will never go back to them for any work to my vehicle again. Wow! What is going on with these negative reviews? I feel the need to share my positive experience to counteract the negative reviews because if you are anything like me, I always read reviews before I go anywhere! I had to schedule an oil change and the dealership could not fit me in on the day I called so I decided to try the local Firestone since I had good experiences with them in the past. I walked in and was instantly greeted with a smile and eagerness to help by the manager. They were able to fit me in and was told I would be in and out in an hour, no problem because I wasn't in a rush. The manager walked outside with me to move my car and when I came inside, he opened the door for me. The manager let me know they had free wifi and to help myself to coffee. I sat down, the manager kept me updated on status and before he left to lunch he said goodbye and thanked me and another customer waiting for our business. Impressive. Another employee, the service manager Aaron or Eric was a young guy and he let me know my car was ready. He actually walked over to where I was sitting instead of just calling it out which was unexpected but impressed me. He detailed my charges, did not bring up any issues like "Did you know you need wiper blades" or some other silly sales gimmick, asked if I had any questions and at the end he said, if we have not provided you with ten star service please let me know so we are able to correct it. I told him everyone was awesome and thanked him. Trust me, I do not patron places that have negative reviews but I have had good experiences with Firestone in the past and my experience yesterday was just as good. NO MORE FIRESTONE FOR ME, EVER!!!!! March 22 Tires were purchases and an alignment done. A complete check up according to them revealed a High Beam out (not so). Head gasket leaking oil told me they did not know when engine would go. (not so) (what I did not tell them, I am a pretty good mechanic, I just don't do the work) Old car, but runs cherry, my mechanic sees to that. March 30 late evening, noticed left front tire low. Concerned it was a valve stem they had replaced. April 1st (today) called told "Jay" , "got some new tires Mar. 22nd, left front is real low. I think the problem might be a faulty valve stem installation. I am stopping to put air. I have an appointment will be there in about an hour". "Ok," Jay said. Got there and Jay came out told me it would be an hour to two hours. Let him know I had an appointment. Later he called me showed me the tire (inflated) with a huge ball on the sidewall. Jay tells me it is road hazard and I have to buy a new one, I don't have road hazard. "Nope", I said, "It is a product problem that was exacerbated by the travel". He insisted I had hit a pot hole. I disagreed, and explained I did not four wheel in my car and did not believe there was potholes big enough to cause that problem, Again, "Nope, it is not road hazard and I am not buying a tire from you", I said. "Put the spare on throw that tire in the trunk I will go to "Discount Tire, and buy a tire from them. Rim and all", 'I will let an expert decide, this is bullshit. Luckily, I did not have a blowout and kill someone, because if that would have happened, you (Firestone) would be a defendant. Look, I said, I know all about tires, used to sell them, big time". He came back told me he was going to replace it, but he didn't want me in his store again. Well, my loving daughter called and bought me road hazard, I DO NOT PLAN TO EVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!!!!! I get home, and get a call from my friend tell me her daughter was being told the serpentine belt in her SUV was going out. With a trip planned to Denver, she believed them. waited around for almost three hours for a serpentine belt that never arrived. Took it elsewhere, was told nothing wrong with her serpentine belt. I usually don't complain but I had an awful experience here. I dropped my car off at noon to have 2 tires replaced with a pick up time of 2:30 they told me they would call when the work was done. 3:30 comes around still no call. So I call the store and they said that had to go across town to the other firestone and get a tire since they didn't have another in stock and that my car would be done by 5. Well it's 5:30 still no call so I call back and they tell me it would be ready by 6. I then show up to the store at 6 and car is still not ready. I asked the guy why my car took so long and he said "well your ticket for your car got misplaced and it was never put up to be serviced on the board" Not only was I lied to but I pretty much wasted my whole day waiting for them to call me. I ended up having to wait until almost closing for my car to be finished. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know it was such a hassle! read more

With the sudden cold snap, I needed to replace the battery on my Honda CR-V fast. I was traveling out of town, shopped the website, found the Santa Fe store, and booked an appointment. They were fast and friendly and finished the job in a half hour. I was very pleased. If you use the website, you might want to continue reading. While chatting with the sales advisor, I found out that the main website does not check local store appointments or inventory before scheduling the appointment. If you use the website and you are tight on time, check with the store and make sure you have not been double booked. In my case, all was good and no problem occurred; but it would have been really annoying if I drove into town to find that there was no technician or parts available. read more

I love this place for my oil changes - always get a great deal, always get my car in and out when promised. They are definitely busy and I've been told it could be several hours so I normally make appointments. Jay is great and the staff is always helpful! The one time they were too busy to get me in as a walk-in, they gave me a discount for my inconvenience for bringing in back the next day as an appointment. Customer service is awesome! read more

I had an appointment yesterday, October 2nd at the St. Francis Santa Fe Firestone shop to have the Ford Escape battery replaced, the oil changed, and for the mechanic to take a look at the tiny coolant leak we've noticed these past few months. Work was to be completed within two hours. 4 hours later, at 4:30 PM, the store clerk put his Manager on the phone with me so I can be explained why they couldn't release my car the same day. Apparently, the coolant return hose was completely cut, and driving the car was out of the question. Keep in mind that I drove the car from White Rock to the Firestone shop with no issues, and have been driving the car throughout NNM since the last time our car was in their shop in March. At that time they performed a pressure test to make sure there were no leaks, and nothing was found. But here we are, drove the car to their shop, but then, broke down in Pojoaque with coolant pouring out like a fountain, and the car almost on fire. The shop manager, Mike, is of the belief that driving the car off the hill with a cut hose was fine because it was in fact downhill, so not making it back home is not his responsibility, or the teams, because with a cut hose, going uphill is a lot more strenuous on the car. I guess somehow we made it to the shop with coolant leaking everywhere, no high heat engine warnings, and no leak signs in their lot because the car is magic. Certainly, the hose was completely cut, and that didn't happen while the car was sitting in the shop for 4 hours. I will end my rant by telling everyone how I'm most definitely looking forward to talking with Corporate on Monday and leaving this great review on every social platform. I'm sorry Mike that you thought me to be very rude. I guess going in for a battery change, and not making it back home puts one in a foul mood. Please be assured that we shall not, ever, bring our car to either of the two shops you manage in Santa Fe because clearly, despite the negative reviews that put you at a great 2-star rating, your shop is indeed reliable. NOT! Lots of sarcasm here folks! Supporting your business during COVID is my mistake. Rest assured, the repair money for the damage your shop caused will go to an honest mechanic, someone that really needs it during these hard times. Scam!!! I took my car here because I had a flat tire. They couldn't repair the flat. Puncture close to sidewall. So I purchased 4 new tires. All wheel drive car needs all 4 tires at the same tred. First they highly recommended a tire that when I looked it up on tirerack.com had horrible reviews. I opted for a different tire. When they took my car in to replace the tires they told me it would take 1 hour. It took them 4 hours and they offered no explanation. The big scam here is that when I called to see what was taking then so long they told me that my shocks were destroyed and needed to be replaced. They quoted me $1200 and tried to get me to agree to the repair over the phone. I declined and took my car to my normal mechanic, who told me that my shocks were in great shape and absolutely did not need replacing. Furthermore it shouldn't have costed anywhere near $1200. Total scam. Will never return here and I would discourage anyone from trusting these sleezy scumballs. read more

Worst place ever! Scheduled an apointment online for my dually truck got a call that they were to busy had to cancel went to another firestone on rodeo rd there lift couldn't do dually's and told me only this store can do dually's scheduled another apointment for that next Sunday I show up and the guy first tells me there short handed they'll get to it when they can then comes back with we don't do dually alignments because it doesn't fit. Really three apointment knowing it was a dually each time I drove in an hour for 2 of them and now they tell they don't do dually's. read more

I went in to get new tires, and they tried to convince me that I needed 70K mile all-weather tires for a van that already had 170K miles on it....then took it in for an emergency, and they told me I needed a gasket replaced for $700, when I started to walk out, they ran up and told me that they had made a mistake and it was only a hose, and would only cost $400...then after they started fixing it, they said that something else was wrong and charged me another $150. About 3 months later, the gasket blew and I needed a new engine. These guys are total rip-offs. read more

Fixed my tire in 30 minutes and did not charge me. Very friendly service. They also evened out the tire pressure for the other tires. Erin was very helpful. He showed me the nail in the tire and told me where in Santa Fe I was likely to run over a nail like that. read more

After locating a coupon today for an Interstate battery for $98.99 on the internet, I called the Santa Fe St. Francis store and talked to Keefer. After a short wait on the phone, he told me that he could have the battery for our car in 30 minutes and confirmed with both my husband and myself that the price would be $98.99. My husband made the 30+ mile trip each way to pick up the battery only to be told by Jay the manager that the battery would in fact be $119.99. Since we needed the battery and neither my husband or myself had the time to look for a battery somewhere else, he paid the higher price and came home with the battery. I called Jay and was told him what Keefer told both my husband and myself and asked him to refund us the additional $20 but he refused to do so. Not only will my husband and I not visit this business again, I will be vocal with others seeking advise in where to obtain maintenance. I originally posted this review on the Rodeo Road location. I will attempt to remove it although I see the service there isn't any better than the St. Francis location. read more

I scheduled an oil change online after I called the shop and no-one picked up the phone. I arrived a little before the scheduled time, and told the guy at the desk that I made the appointment online. He brusquely told me that there was no way he could do it today. When I asked why, he said that the online system was not synched up with the appointments in the shop, and offered nothing by way of apology. I then asked for more explanation, and he started aggressively telling me about the line-up of cars that were in the shop, as if I didn't believe him. That was not the problem, as I don't doubt that he was busy (although given their customer service, I'm beginning to wonder why); the issue was the total lack of awareness that a potential customer had been inconvenienced and that it is their responsibility to address this. He offered to rebook the appointment, and if he had expressed any apology for my inconvenience I would have taken him up on this; given the circumstances, I told him I would be taking my business elsewhere. read more

first time car owner here and cannot say enough good things about my experience. came in within an hour of them closing with a leaky tire. they diagnosed the issue, explained that it couldnt be repaired, and gave me options on what to do. my service rep Aaron was the nicest guy, and explained the tread on my tires, walked me through the invoicing, told me how often to align, rotate my tires. he helped turn a shitty afternoon into an overall really positive experience. thanks Aaron and thanks other dude who changed my tires!! read more
