I had to come on Yelp to thank the guys at Firestone for helping me out. I was close by at the post office when I realized that one of my brand new tires is flat. I got the tires in Healdsburg, and I definitely wasn't going to make it that far. Firestone is just across the parking lot in Coddingtown Center, thank god, so I got myself over there and asked if they could repair my tire. It turned out to not be repairable due to a giant nail in the side, but they put my spare tire on for me and then called the place I got my tires initially and asked if they plan on replacing my tire. Extremely nice guys, and they didn't charge me a dime for all of this. I will definitely be going here for any future tire issues I have. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! This company does not fix cars, they BREAK them. You will not get your money back for THIER mistakes. My boyfriend got engine parts replaced here. His car ran fine before we brought it here. It's an older car so he wanted to get some engine mantinace done so it would run for couple more years without any surprises. After the new parts it ran better than it ever had before. But out of the blue the engine died. What they "fixed" on the engine broke. We brought it back in, and they said they would fix it. After weeks of waiting, nothing. We go in and they said they "fixed" it. But it still did not run correctly. They recommend us buying more parts to get it back to normal. We bought the parts, and they put them in. Guess what? It didn't work! The car engine is unfixable! The car is undrivable. They will not refund us for the original "fix" that broke the car or the useless parts we purchased to "fix" something that is unfixable! My family has been using this specific Firestone location to repair their vehicles since the beginning of time. I have been going to this place since I was 18 to repair my vehicles but recently moved to Sebastopol so tried some local places so I wouldn't have to commute as far but I regret doing that 100%. This Firestone has the best employees and the best customer service compared to any place I have been to. Firestone also has multiple deals/coupons going on so everytime I go in I save money. Who ever is in charge of hiring 5 stars and 5 stars to Daniel at the front when checking in my vehicles. I would give 10 stars to Firestone at Coddingtown if I could! read more

I had my Tahoe serviced today. It was towed in last night with a fuel pump problem. I had an awesome experience with Firestone! Not only were their prices competitive, but they did the work immediately. They thoroughly inspected my car and even broke down the estimate of what needed to be repaired (fuel filter....an expensive repair) to what should be repaired (maintenance work). I came here for new tires, and a complete check-up for my car. Radiator flush, fuel system/fuel filter cleaning, oil change etc. I tried to get new brakes but I didn't need them, these guys weren't trying to sell me anything I didn't need. They suggested replacing my spark plugs, which I am sure I needed done as my car did hit 100k miles so I went for it. They called me after they looked it all over as they went to ask if I wanted this done. I even got the right kind of windshield wipers, bosch. I have a Rav4 and some don't work well on my windshield so I was happy they choose the right ones. I had made an appointment after calling three times to go over the estimate. The work was done on time and for a low price. I was given a detailed printout of everything they planned to do, with pricing. I had no issues with waiting for customer service. read more

I scheduled an appt first thing in the morning for an oil change and new brake pads. It was 2 1/2 hours before they came to talk to me about what they recommended with the brakes. Then 45 minutes later the guy finished helping people at the front desk long enough to go tell the mechanic to start working on my brakes. After 5 hours of waiting I was able to take my car home. I don't care if there is a warranty on the brake pads, I will go somewhere else next time. read more

This morning I had a blow out tire and was very scared as what to do. I've never had this happen before, and I have no idea how to put my spare on my car. I was trying to fumble around my trunk and was getting really frustrated. Someone pulled over and asked if I was ok, which I explained I needed help. This angel sent from above was named Sandy. He explained that he worked for the Firestone about 2 blocks away and that he was on his way to work. He put my spare on for me and helped explain that I need tires very badly and this is why this happened. I'm the type of person that doesn't look at my tires so I had no idea! They looked like those things you see on race cars. In fact he had one in his showroom on display that looked just like my tires look. He had followed me to make sure I made it to his location where he helped me look for a set of tires. I didn't have enough money as I don't get paid till next Friday so he told me about the financing options they have in store, which is a HUGE plus! Sandy really saved my day, and was a reminder that there are still good people in the world. Yelp is too often a place for people to complain and not often enough praising the good things people do! I asked if I needed to make an appointment and was told that it would not be necessary and to "Just come in". When I arrived about 30 minutes after my call the worker there told me that he never spoke to me and that he is "the only one here who answers the phone". So the only reason that I came here in the first place is because a brand new tire that they installed less than 3 months ago blew up on the freeway and I had a warranty (thank God for that) anyway, This would've been the last place I would've went to had it not been for that warranty. So I had at 8:30 AM appointment and I was very pleasant with them find what I needed to sign and very politely asked them If my car would be done by 12 PM and he just smiled and said yes of course! Around 11:30 AM my stepfather called and asked them why hadn't we received a call yet They said they were "almost done". He called me and said hey Catherine let's head over there because you have an appointment that you told them about and I have several things I need to do so let's just head over there, they should be done with the car by the time we get there. Simple thing right? Wrong. We pull up my cars in the exact same spot it was in when I left now FOUR hours ago, because it is now 12:22 pm and my poor little cars been sitting here since 8:30 am. Of course I'm upset so the same gentleman that was at the counter when I left my car here at 8:30 AM has the nerve to tell me that the reason that my car isn't done yet is because they couldn't get it started?! Excuse me? But did I just have a mechanic tell me that the reason that they haven't worked on my car for a simple tire installation and oil change since four hours ago is because they couldn't start my car. At that point I completely lost it the man told me to calm down that he wasn't going to do anything to my car even though we had already paid, and at that point of course I calmed down because I just don't want to go through the court process and the whole return process at that Points I wasn't even sure if we were going to be even able to get my money back. The thing that upset me the most was when he told me that he couldn't start my car of course I hopped in and started it right away and I asked him had he ever heard of a thing called the telephone?? Lol. Now I knew that the only reason he told me that was because he was lying to me but of course I was going to make him feel bad about lying to me or at the very least make him somewhat regret lying to me. And I'm still sitting here waiting for my car to get a simple oil change and a tire replacement. Please do not bring your vehicle to this place. This place is a joke. read more

The absolute worst of the worst. I normally go to the one in Eureka but was traveling and had to settle for this sad excuse of an auto shop. I had made an appointment PRIOR to coming in for 8 am. I drop it off, I ask what time it'll be done and they have no answer for me and I'm stuck waiting at the mall next to it. At 12:30, I receive a call that my car has just been inspected and will start be repaired in an hour. They had JUST inspected after having it in the shop for 4 HOURS. I asked what the estimated time will be and they can't tell me again. I call a few extra times to check on the progress and I still get nothing. I walk by around 4:30pm and no one is actually working in the shop. I get in and I'm furious when the front desk person scoffs at me when I said I had been waiting since 8 am, and he turns his computer to show me that was there was an estimated time for it to be done at 5PM. The service was slow and the front desk person was rude and patronizing. I will NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. read more

Prices were competitive, but service is terrible. I ordered four tires. I was told to come right in, they could get me out in about an hour and fifteen minutes. An hour and 15 minutes after I arriived they asked me which side out I wanted the tires, black or white. They had just started to work on it. Fifteen minutes later they told me that they had three tires on the car but didn't have the fourth tire in stock!! Wish they'd told me that before they took it apart. Either they are incompetent or they are dishonest or both. It took them another half hour just to obtain the forth tire. The job went from being and hour and fifteen minute job to being a three hour job. Needless to say, I won't be a return customer. And, if I were you I would avoid this place. Had an appointment for 10 o'clock to change two tires. Was told when I got there that it would take 90 minutes. I waited 2 and a half hours. Wasn't offered any apologies, no recognition that they were rushing. Fairly certain they weren't. When I went out to take a look, nobody was moving quickly. When I finally got to my car, there were grease smudges on the inside of my door. I will never return, sorry guys. read more

I brought my Impala in for service because my ABS and Traction Control lights were coming on. Since I recently purchased it used, I also asked the team to assess the car for any other issues that may need to be addressed. The car wasn't taken care of on that day, so I waited a second day. I got a phone call from the manager who said they had found over $1000 worth of items to be repaired but they were unable to identify the source of my service lights (which had reset after the car sat for a time). I asked if they could check the computer and was told "No, those codes aren't stored, only the Check Engine codes are." I came in to do a drive around with the tech and couldn't get it to trigger. When I asked what the potential causes were, he said "could be the ABS, could be the sensor." I requested that those be checked, and authorized the other suggested repairs. Phone call later that day "Your car is ready". "Great," I said. "What was the issue with the lights?" "Oh, we never found anything wrong. Just drive it and see if it happens again, and we will take another look." OK, very next day, the warning lights come back on. I don't have time to be without my car at that moment, so I wait until Monday and bring it in. "Unfortunately, the guy who runs the computer diagnostics doesn't work today, buy you can leave it and we will get to it tomorrow." Another day without a car. A guy off the street standing at the counter asks me whats wrong, and I describe the issue. "Oh, that is a problem with the ABS sensor. They should be able to fix that right away." The man behind the counter says "Oh yeah, had the same problem with my Chevy." Anyway, sure enough, on Tuesday I get a call that it is the sensor AND IT WAS FALLING OUT OF THE HUB!!!! IT WAS SO OBVIOUSLY DAMAGED THAT THEY DIDN'T NEED TO RUN THE DIAGNOSTICS TO SEE THE PROBLEM!!! SO WHAT THE HECK DID YOU SPEND SEVERAL DAYS AND THOUSANDS OF MY DOLLARS DOING!!! The hub replacement was another $400+ to fix, and oh, by the way, "We can't get it done today, you will have to get it tomorrow." Unfortunately, I had a trip to take the next day, so I didn't get my car back until Thursday. Here is the best part - one of the 'other' items that needed to be repaired was my tires needed replacement, to the tune of $700+ all in. I asked about the tire pressure sensors, would they be replaced? "Oh, don't worry, we rebuild them when we replace the tires." Wanna guess what warning light came on a few days after the last service? I DON'T TRUST THESE GUYS. I WON'T BE GOING BACK. read more

Not only did they give me a great deal on my new tires but they noticed 2 other dangerous issues I didn't know about. I like these guys. They did what they said they'd do within the price they quoted. I got 4 nice tires, and they happened to have a buy 3 get 1 free sale, which I like. Oil change, no problem. Free fluids and brake check. I like the balancing job they did. Also, done within promised schedule. The one thing I did not like is they tacked in "extended" warranty for tires on my bill without asking. So I had to look through the charges to find out why it was $50 higher. But they immediately took it off. All in all a very positive experience. Make an appointment, it's busy on the weekend. read more

I took my car here and had a brake inspection done. I knew that the e-brake needed major adjustment. They said everything was fine. Strike one!!! Prior to that I took my other car in for an alignment, and they forgot about doing my alignment. Strike two!! I'm done with these people. Use Firestone at your own risk!!! I made an appointment to bring my car in for an oil change . I was advised it would be one hour . It's turned into two hours because they did not have the oil filter in stock ! I would expect that they would check inventory ahead of time especially something as common as an oil change! At the least they could have given me a courtesy call about the delay . I can say this is the best place that i ever been to for service. All of there mechanics have been there for a long time and are the best in my opinion. I will say that they can take longer than expected sometimes but if you let them know that you are upset or inconvenienced the next oil change will be free. It is a very busy shop because they know how to take care of business. A shops true colors show when you have a problem and you always will. its how they handle it that counts. read more

I usually would not write anything about anyone but, the last time I brought my car in, I made an appointment around 10:30 A.M. and dropped off my car around 9:30. They never called me with an update. I phoned at 2:00 P.M, they still didn't look at. I phoned at 6:30 and they still haven't looked at. They were going to keep my car there overnight without even a phone call. Needless to say, that put a dent in my Labor Day weekend. Today I went to this store to get 4 new tires for my lincoln navigator the original tire size was not available but that was ok because the tires on it was a little bigger well the staff helped me with this and told me the tire size i was running was better and to make things better this size was 40 dollars cheaper that was a plus and they also helped me with credit i just got approved for my Firestone credit card that would not be delivered for another 10 days so they contacted them through my email so i was able to use it for the tires even more plus Thank you for the help the staff was great the service was on time I will be cumming back to this store for more service highly recomend read more

The service was good. I picked out my tires online and took it into them. They did try to add a bunch of other stuff so watch out. Just say no to everything else. They said it would take 1hr. I came back 1hr later and they weren't done yet but another hour later they were finished. It took them an extra hour cause my rims gave them trouble. I would suggest getting your tires here but nothing else. I asked how much it would cost to put a new serpentine belt on and they printed out a total cost. It was $137. WAY to much. I did it myself for $42 and it took me 5 mins. They over charge on everything else except tires. read more

Was from out of town, had worked all night and at noon was told probably 2 more hours. Really folks! This place sucks! I have had 3 consecutive times of a bad experience. I have made appointments for all these appointments. First, a basic oil change. They told me it would take 45 minutes. It ended up taking an hour and a half. Second, fixing the belt. Well they replaced it just fine but left the old part in my engine compartment. While I was driving the old part fell out and messed up the steering. The guy I did talk to said sorry. Third, tire repair. Told me it was going to take 45 minutes. I walked in TJ check in for my appointment and they said it would take longer. They are too backed up. The only reason they didn't get one star is because of one employee that was trying to help me the best he could. All in all these guys need a receptionist to answer their phone that rings off the hook so they can concentrate on their work. Anyways I gave them three chances and they are not very good place to take your vehicle. read more

I try not to go to these types of places (corporate chains), but one of my brake lights was out and it was convenient to go to Firestone. The guy said it would take about an hour to fix. I walked around for well over an hour, and didn't get a phone call telling me my vehicle was ready, so I went in to ask how much longer it would be. The guy went to check, and said that the light wasn't even out on my vehicle and in order to figure it out he'd have to do a diagnostic check. Uh, why couldn't they have told me that way earlier? Why did I have to wait forever and then inquire about it myself? It got way worse, though. The mechanic pulled my vehicle up to the door, ready for me to take it. I got in it, and it wouldn't start. It was completely dead. I have never had that sort of problem before. Seemed fishy. The mechanic tried to start my vehicle dozens of times and wasted a lot of gas, pumping on the pedal. I was told I needed some sort of idling regulator device, and the guy would go investigate to see how much it would cost. What seemed off to me was that the original mechanic I was dealing with didn't seem to know what the problem was and was really confused, but then all of a sudden he decided on exactly what I needed. There was another, younger mechanic who was also working on my van who decided to just try to recalibrate my vehicle's computer system by taking it for a ride around the parking lot. He was right-that fixed the "problem." The original mechanic just said that the problem had nothing to do with the fact that their mechanics were just fiddling with my engine. I was just a "coincidence" that my van died immediately after being in their shop. Puh-leez. He was a jerk, too. Stay far, far away from this place. read more

Would not take my car back to Firestone again. They replaced a part that was diagnosed at another firestone because my engine light came on and my car ran worse then when I came in. It took weeks to fix this problem and they actually had to pay for a rental car for me for several days because they didn't have someone who could do the work needed for two days and I had sales appointments to drive to. The engine light came on again after I drove off and I ended up getting my car repaired at the Santa Cruz Firestone which was way more competent and would not stop until it was fixed. I told them from the beginning I believed it was a bad part they put in because I never had this problem before they put in the part they wouldn't listen. So guess what after several weeks of frustration, stress and money they finally replaced the part and my car ran beautifully. Honestly I'm very leery of any Firestone after in both instances I had more problems then when I came in two different times. I actually had to ask them for the rental car because there expert in that area was out of work for 2 days. Over booked slow to get things done. Gave them two stars because at least I had a rental car. read more
