This shop is full of incompetent mechanics and a liar for a manager who's name is Pete. I had to bring my vehicle in 3 times for the exact same issue and it was never repaired. I provided engine codes to assist them with the repair and I was incredibly patient with how lousy a job they were doing. Each time I had dropped off my vehicle, I never received a call when it was ready for pick up. I had to call every single time. The very first time I picked it up, my check engine light was back on before I even left the lot. By the 3rd time, Pete the liar told me if they weren't successful this time that he would provide a refund (I have a witness he said this). Now when it came back on AGAIN, I call to request my refund as promised and he tells me he won't and proceeds to hang up on me. I was patient, polite, and gave them the benefit of the doubt and this is how that is repaid. Avoid this shop at all costs. Their mechanics obviously have no clue what they are doing and Pete is a terrible manager and honestly a terrible person for lying to people and trying to steal their money. I took my car here for a oil change and I also asked for an engine flush which apparently not many people have heard of there was a little bit of confusion around whether not they could do it but they did do it and they also replaced my headlight. The total cost for all of the services was less than the oil change itself how do I gotten it from my dealership so overall great service. Minus one star because of the confusion and it took a little bit long to get the whole thing done ... About three hours... But nonetheless it was done right and for a good value. read more

This was the first time we brought my car to this particular firestone location after being a customer for several years. Absolutely one of the worst experiences! I had my bf take my car in for standard routine maintenance including a purchase of new breaks. There was nothing wrong with my car prior to visiting this location, after getting the breaks done there was a strange noise and screech coming from my car the day after. Returned my car for them to check it out and was told that we actually need to get something else done and that was causing the issue. Paid and done then the sound continues! Told us to bring the car back again for another 2 times after some bolts were not tightened. A simple maintenance check became days of more problems arising with my vehicle and my need to take unnecessary days off from work. Pete who was "taking care" of my car continued to give excuses to the "possible" problem and wouldn't give us an update until the end of the day- requiring us to keep bringing it back. He finally said that they put on a part which was faulty and the new ordered part won't be in for another two days.. I say I would like a refund so I can go somewhere else. He refuses! And says that we haven't given him a chance to fix it (which I did, 5 days of waiting) and I am losing money on waiting on them to get it together. I also didn't feel comfortable driving my car around with my baby, knowing there is unusual sounds and a tug type feeling coming from my car but Pete said it's safe and that's not a problem to drive with. I still took my car to a different Firestone since I had warranties and they said this location was wrong and the breaks were faulty. I am not a fan of those who do not follow through. I was needing a few things fixed on my car and I had called for a quote. Typically I am pretty happy with their service. And I was expecting any less when requesting a quote. I was told that morning, when I called around 9am, that I would be contacted later on the day with results. When the day turned into 3pm, I decided to call back. The gentleman responded with my inquiry that he hasn't heard back from Infiniti regarding the parts and that he would call them again. The gentlemen assured me that he would call me back with information. Seven days later and still no call. Therefore I decided to go straight to the source and have my repairs done at Infiniti. I've purchased all my tires through them and always get my alignment done there also. All I was wanting was a follow up call even letting me know what his timeline would be to get me information. Was told over the phone it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait time for a 4 wheel alignment on my car. Arrived at the shop 20 minutes later and all of the sudden it's a 3 hour wait. The front desk assistant was unapologetic and not solution focused whatsoever. He instead said "I don't know who told you that, it's going to be at least 3 hours" without taking any ownership for this branch or his fellow team members. I understand mistakes happen but it's about how you deal with them and move forward. This front desk assistant said nothing productive and just played the blame game which is sad to see. OK, I admit, if you are going to Firestone for your auto care you probably don't have the highest level of knowledge about your cars inner workings nor do you want to spend time determining a proper shop for repairs. That being said, I think Firestone Auto Care offers some decent services so long as you follow the rules. These rules (as written by me) include: 1. Go there for the BASICS. This includes oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and other routine maintenance services. They do these things very well and typically can't screw them up. 2. Go to their web site and print any coupons - they usually have a coupon for oil change, tire rotation, and alignment discounts. This will save you money. 3. Decline any additional services or maintenance they suggest. You are better off getting a second opinion from somewhere else. On my visit for a wheel alignment, they did not push any unnecessary stuff on me. When in doubt, check your manual. If the routine maintenance is not listed, DO NOT PAY FOR IT. If it is a repair item, get a second opinion. 4. Shop Around. For routine services, Firestone will generally price match. You'll need to have the name of the competitor, price, location, etc. but they do this without much hassle. 5. Make an appointment. If you don't to this, you'll have to wait for several hours (no es bueno!) That's it. The service by location will vary, but I've had good luck with Firestone on Scottsdale Rd for tire rotations, oil changes, wheel alignments, and battery replacements. read more

**Caution** This Firestone location is not a good place to take your auto. I have never had a worse experience at an auto repair shop in my life. I am new to the Scottsdale area and have been looking for a trustworthy and reliable mechanic to care for my family's vehicles. I failed to check reviews and simply found this shop online. I had recently purchased a 2015 Ford Explorer. It needed an alignment and it sometimes generated a small sound when steering. I ordered an alignment and the Car Care Package to ensure I have a safe ride that is in good condition for my family. The team reported back that it is a clean car and found no issues. Based on this feedback, I decided that I would not purchase the extended service package being offered. This was a BIG mistake... A few months later, my Explorer is in the shop with a bad strut bearing and a cracked Power Transfer Unit. This is a very costly repair. I will acknowledge that there was a decent gap in time from the inspection to the needed repairs to my Ford. Its entirely possible the breakdowns developed afterwards, but based on my next service appointment I highly doubt they completed a thorough inspection (if at all). My next visit was for my wife's Nissan Sentra. The A/C stopped pushing cold air and the diagnosis was a bad Compressor that need to be replaced. This was a pricey fix, but I was happy when I picked up my car and had cold air. Unfortunately, I discovered that the car now had an oil leak. I drove my other car back to the shop and showed them pictures of the leak. Their immediate response was "that doesn't look like oil" and "we were nowhere close to the oil pan, so you should probably check with the company that changes your oil." I know enough about cars to know what engine oil looks like, so this initial statement and their reflexive response that it was someone else's fault had me concerned about their work and honesty. I looked into this repair and found that the A/C compressor practically touches the oil pan on the Sentra. So, I looked at the oil pan and it was clear that something was wrong. Some of the oil pan bolts looked new and/or had been recently wrenched. You can see the tool marks where the road buildup was rubbed off. Oil was everywhere but I couldn't tell where it was coming from. I suspected the gasket was compromised during their compressor install. Also, some other fluid was sprayed all over the engine compartment. It looked like something had exploded spreading an oily substance everywhere. (have pics of all this) So, I took the car back for inspection. They claimed again that it wasn't their fault and that they informed me of this leak prior to replacing the compressor. This is a lie. I pulled up my Oil change paperwork (from 20 days prior) and it shows no oil leaks in their documentation. I then pulled up the paperwork from Firestone and there is no mention of any leak what so ever. Now, if the leak did exist prior to their service there is no way they wouldn't have seen it since these two parts are so close. I've never ever in 25+ years had a mechanic pass on an opportunity to tack on additional services. So, the fact that it was not mentioned in the paperwork and they did not try to add on $200 to my bill leads me to be very confident the leak was caused by something the mechanic did during the fix. The manager eventually claimed that they discovered the oil pan drain was not fully tightened and this caused the leak. They tightened the bolt and sent me on my way. This slowed some of the leak but it was still weeping oil. When I called back to report the continuing issue, I was told I would need to pay $200 for the fix. After some discussion, he finally told me to bring it back and they would fix it no charge. He said - just bring it in, the part costs just a few dollars and its a quick fix. (if this is true, then you just admitted to tremendously overcharging). Well, I showed up today for my appointment. The manager saw me but nobody was inside the reception. I just stood there for 15 minutes - completely ignored. I finally left without anyone saying a thing to me - frankly, I decided that I don't want anyone from that shop touching my car ever again (even if it is a free service to fix their damage). I can't recall the names of the manager's I spoke with. Think it was Michael, Mitch, Keith. Regardless, their attitude was terrible throughout. They took no ownership of their work or team. Failed to be responsible with my cars and actually attempted on multiple occasions to blame others. Terrible service and very poor leadership. I will never take my cars here again and I strongly urge others to reconsider using this shop. read more

Here we go again. I bought new tires less than 4 months ago and one of them got a nail in it and now they tell me $84 even though I had the road hazarded insurance. The nail was in the middle of the tire. No, but get this, now they are saying that the outside of the tire was damaged too. Interesting that they didn't tell me this before, they only said it after I contacted FIRESTONE directly and not only that, I went to the one on 90th Street and Mountain View and they told me that I didn't buy any tires from them, firestone that is. Huh, maybe I should write Discover and have them cancel that purchase. I will be going to discount tire or pet boys before I ever go back to these Firestone places. They took down my last email when I found out that I could have been killed because they didn't tighten up the lug-nuts on my car. read more

I took my Acura TL to this Firestone store for a tire rotation and oil change. The tires were in need of replacement, largely due to worn struts. They gave me an estimate to replace 4 struts and 4 new tires. When replacing the struts it would also need a alignment. I told them to do only the oil change, and, I would get back to them about the additional work. I found coupons on Firestone.com for $10.00 off on the oil change, and, 20% off repairs. After bidding the struts/tires and alignment out with several other repair shops...Firestone was the BEST price. I found their work to be professional and complete. As a single female that knows NOTHING about cars, I can appreciate mechanics that get the job done honestly! These mechanics always fix my car's problem promptly and at a fair price. I've never had to wait for service either-- maybe it's luck or maybe they are just very accommodating! Most recently the mechanics helped me turn off a service light that goes on every 10,000 miles. Since there was nothing wrong with the car they turned it off and didn't even charge me :) I promised them that I would come in (knock on wood) if and when there really is something wrong with the car................and I'm sticking to my word! :) read more

I made my appt. for 3 pm and waited all day because they're the only place open on Sundays. When I got there, the guy at the counter said that they had half of their mechanics leave early for that day, and that he 'meant' to cancel my appt. He never apologized once. How hard would it have been to cancel my appt. earlier?? Come on, dude. Total waste of my time. Due to the oil canister cracking, the car pickup time was delayed by one day, however they replaced it for free. He was helping numerous people at the same time (and answering phone calls)! Even though the place was rockin, I felt like I was personally being taken care of with my issue ( I was in need of a new Interstate battery). We stopped in on a Thursday to see if we could get our car in to check the balance but they weren't able to get us in then so we made an appointment for that next Sunday @ noon. Showed up for our appointment and was told their schedule went crazy because Saturday appointments got pushed to Sunday so they weren't able to honor our appointment. So we rescheduled for Monday @ 11 and was told they were wide open at that time, great because I needed to wait since it's our only car. So I show up Monday at my scheduled time and was told it would probably take an hour and a half to finish the car so I ubered home. I just called to find out the status of the car and they hadn't even started yet!! Who does this, service walk in customers over scheduled customers?? FINALLY A MANAGEMENT THAT UNDERSTANDS, THATS HONEST AND TRULY CARES! This facility is under NEW management and its now legit. Real quick; I had an issue with my vehicle making a loud squealing noise when the car was on. The then manager, Jasun Pritchard came back and told me the noise is caused by the power steering pump leaking. I agreed to the replacement of the pump along with other services. When I picked up my vehicle I had hardly any power steering. I contacted the facility and spoke with Jasun. He asked me to bring it back. I brought it back and was told now its my Rack and Pinion. I went back and forth with Jason, knowing its the power steering pump he replaced but he declined to parts warranty the power steering pump. To verify my feelings and to get a second opinion I took my vehicle to Bell Road North Scottsdale Lexus. I talked with the service advisor and they diagnosed it to be a bad power steering pump. After numerous calls to Corporate in Tennessee to complain, I received a call from Jason asking me to bring it in so they can parts warranty the power steering pump. I took it in and two days later I got a message stating they are not going to replace the pump. After several weeks of dealing/communicating with the corporate office and the change of management I received a call from the new manager Pete. He listened to what I had to say and told me they would replace it. This is what I've wanted to hear for over 2 months. But just talking with Pete put me at ease. He listened, understood the situation and had no issue replacing the pump under their warranty. Also, he apologized for the delay and any heartache I might have experienced. Again, this location/facility is under NEW management and I feel they'll treat you fair and honest. read more

The make sure I don't pay for services I don't need and when I do need something, they make sure it is taken care of asap and try to make sure it doesn't cost a small fortune. Even my coworkers in my office have started going to this location and they guys are good to them. I had an almost dead battery on a Sunday evening. I live close to this location so I decided to head up to Firestone and drop off the car for service the next day. When I arrived the staff was still there. They started collecting my info for the next day. As we were talking one of the techs came in and said he could switch out the battery right on the spot if I didn't mind waiting. 15 minutes later they were done and I was on my way home.
