I bought the lifetime wheel alignment plan and when I lifted my truck, had to upgrade suspension components as well. When I went back to get my wheels aligned they charged me the full price. What is the lifetime wheel alignment, if it's not a the life of the vehicle? There was no clause in the original contact stating that all parts have to remain OEM! Had there been, I would not have bought the lifetime wheel alignment plan, knowing that I was going to be doing upgrades along the way. read more

Nakota - Williamson Road Location Nakota was fantastic. He exemplifies outstanding customer service and a loyal employee. First he took time to go over the best tires for my truck. Then he took time to compare available tires to the tires that are currently on my truck. You can tell that he's very committed to doing the right thing.He's very passionate about providing good customer service. When I arrived to pick up the tires, I wasn't sure how to set up my payment systems. I needed to split the payment onto two different cards.- he knew exactly what to do and was very calm and patient. Then he went and got the tires which he had already pulled from inventory and had ready for me and loaded all of them into the back of my truck. Nakota should be commended for his work ethic, politeness, and dedication for good customer service. He exhibits a lot of good qualities of what Firestone should want to see in leadership and team coaching. He has a very pleasant, patient and professional attitude!! Honestly if I could leave 0 stars, I would. I had an appointment scheduled for an alignment at 11 am. When I arrived whoever was at the front desk said "we scheduled a bunch of other people at 11, so are you dropping it off?" I asked how long it would take and he said "a few hours". What is even the purpose of scheduling an appointment if you schedule a bunch of other people and then make them wait multiple hours?! He then proceeded to tell me they emailed me around 7 am to let me know (which I didn't get) and said my only option was to drop off. I ended up leaving and going to a different location. I am a huge believer in giving anyplace a chance even if the reviews are poor, but trust these reviews they are this low for a reason. read more

I made an appointment with them. They never told me I would have to pay. When I got there the girl at the front desk said it was going to cost me 120.00. She said the belt has nothing to do with the cruise. I just walked out. Because they put a new belt in my car. After that my cruise control stopped working. It worked on my way there. I was offered a number of options for my vehicle. I brought with me a quote from a local store . Firestone beat the quote with a product that was available. From start to finish my time at Firestone was about 1.5 hrs as I arrived after 5 PM with a flat tire and needed service. Please beware and never take your business here. Incompetent, unprofessional and unethical employees who work here will ruin your day and waste your time. They are not accountable, they don't keep their word, they do not accept their mistake, they lie to your face and even threaten you when you question the quality of their service .  It took four employees who work here a full working day to get one tire replaced for me and I had to call them at least 10 times. They never call you back with an update on your work order. They cannot do basics like sending emails to the correct email address, don't know how to talk to customers and don't have any regard for the customer's time that they iressponsibly waste. Even if it means you have to drive farther and pay a bit more, I would still do that instead of going here for your auto problems.  This Firestone was by far the worst auto shop I have ever visited in my life. You can read some horror stories that other customers have shared in Google reviews as well. Do not accept the incomoetency, disrespect and mistreatment that these guys think they can get away with. Bottom line, the tires are affordable. However, the business transaction was difficult. I received an exorbitant estimate that needed to be explained -- once explained the cost was reasonable. MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR SEAT SAVING PROTECTION. After paying for all new tires, I got into my car to find grease everywhere. I keep my car clean, so if you look at the pictures all of that is from the maintenance. If you have cloth seats, remember to ask. I'm sure you could find a better package deal somewhere else, but this was convenient. read more

My car had an alignment issue and I went to Firestone since it was across the street give me a call that the alignment is done and when I pick it up and clearly the alignment is off car pulling to the left hard. I went back And told them the problem not fixed and they argued with me about it. So I decide to fix it my self and found that the left front control arm bent. They don't care about service, they can't even perform an alignment right. They don't even check the car out. They got fake mechanics. They are only good for oil change or maybe even an air filter if they can even handle that. Don't go to this business not real techs. You might as well have a better chance at jiffy lube . read more

I recently relocated from Nevada back to Northern, VA. I have used Firestone Complete Auto Care in three States and this one was by far my worst experience. Although I spent $700 plus dollars for my recent visit, I didn't feel my business was appreciated nor was the workmanship equal to the caliber of service I received in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Henderson, and Las Vegas Nevada, or Plantation and Hollywood, Florida where I have spent more money. One of the services I had performed here was restoring my headlights. The technician did a poor job of cleaning the solution residue from my front fender. To make matters worse, the very next day it rained, and one of my headlights filled with water, which had never happened before. I called and reported it. After taking no responsibility for the problem, I was told by Paul Grasso the manager of Sales to come in at 3:00 PM the next Saturday. I did but was treated by a technician like I should not have wasted their time. He asked me "how much did I care about the water moisture in my headlight"? He stated that the cost of the part will be $350-$400 plus labor. I drove 12 miles to get there, and since I have paid more than $3,000 for service at various Firestone Complete Auto Care stores, I found the question to be blatantly offensive and a racially biased brush-off as if my money wasn't worth his time. In this era of Trumpism and all the despicable, bigoted, intolerance, and racial bias, and discrimination it stands for, I immediately felt I was dealing with disparate treatment. I confirmed this when I got home and Google the cost of the part I needed and found numerous even from Amazon that was brand new for $125 and even less, which proved he was lying. I am an African American Vietnam-era Veteran and have Veteran License Plates. Just by his looks, I'm sure this technician never served and probably couldn't qualify for service but considers himself a so-called patriot like Trump who was a five-time draft dodger. Needless to say, neither this Firestone Complete Auto Care in Springfield, VA, nor anywhere else will get any of my business other than that which I am already contractually entitled to lifetime service and I suggest other Blacks take their business elsewhere as well. read more

Back in October, 2020, I had to get a jeep fixed very quickly due to a family emergency. I worked with Porter, who is a fantastic service advisor over there - she's really nice & professional and very knowledgeable. They helped us greatly that weekend. Everyone there from the manager to the mechanics helped us get the vehicle ready for a long trip - knowing our unusual situation. I'm also extremely grateful to the mechanic that came out and helped us understand more about the jeep before we left. I am very sorry to say that I cannot recall his name. While I do take responsibility in being late for my appointment, the customer service was trash. The front desk person was nice enough to still let me stay . I came in at 3:50 and was told my car would be ready at 7. I parked my car out front and next thing I know, it's been over an hour and my car still wasn't moved. At 5:45 I asked the Asian guy with long hair tied up ( who's name I don't know but the only way I can describe so I apologize) if my car would still be done by 7 and was told yes but maybe only a couple minutes over that. 6:30, I asked again and was told it would be done. 6:45 and my car had not been moved not once since I parked it and got there at 3:50. I needed a belt change. Clearly that wasn't going to be done in a 20 minute time frame if my car wasn't even in the back yet. I ended up just asking for my keys back and left at 7. If my car wasn't gonna be done by then, that should've been communicated and rescheduled instead of me WAITING FOR 3 HOURS FOR LITERALLY NOTHING. NO ONE HAD EVEN TOUCHED MY CAR. And while I hadn't planned on naming anyone, the nice comment of " once they ask for the keys don't even worry about it anymore" didn't rub me the right way. So thank you Paul and whatever the other guy with his hair tied up name is. You could've simply asked to reschedule if the time didn't permit instead of providing crappy customer service. read more

Firestone exemplifies true customer service. They have always been friendly when I've dropped off my car and picked it up. I've never felt as if I was being ripped off to purchase additional services and equipment. If in doubt, they directly provide you clarification and demonstrate potential hazards along with an estimate. The repairs are completed on time as promised. Take advantage of the lifetime alignment if you plan on keeping your car for awhile as two alignments will pay for the lifetime alignment. Also, pay the extra $5 to $10 on the tire hazard warranty. Its especially helpful if you go over potholes every winter and find yourself replacing tires like underwear. Lastly, don't stray away from the front of the cashier when checking out to pay. I overheard some customers arguing over someone cutting in line to pay and pickup their car. read more

Was told the back tires were OK, but it would be better to replace that bad front tire and one other to balance it out. Left the car there for 6 hours but they couldn't get to it. Called at 3PM the next day to check in and, "oh, yep, it's actually done, but we forgot to call" was the answer. I go pick it up in the dark and drive home. Next morning I go to get in my car and the nail is STILL IN THE TIRE. The tech who did the work even passed the front tires on inspection. When I took it back in, the guy was apologetic, but could only offer me a "buy one get one free" deal. He seemed genuinely terrified to put it in the system because they'd be "flagged" for the screw up. They didn't communicate well. They passed the tire that blatantly had a nail. They passed two tires that allegedly had poor tread. They threw away my good back tires. They couldn't really do anything to help me. A simple nail in my tire ended up costing hundreds and hundreds of dollars. read more

Called 24 hours later: Oh, we were not able to confirm your appointment. Well, then send me an email or call. Something tells me they did not even bother to check their online requests. Now I am stuck searching available shop on a very short notice because I am traveling tonight. I have been brining my two cars to this shop for years. It's not a first hiccup. Called at 7.05 am spoke with SAM set up an appointment for 11-12 pm, arrived at 11.30am and the two ladies on front desk told me that was going to take 4 hours for one tire, I asked to talk to SAM and he came from the back and the only think he said it was : "You did not say you were going to wait" and he left. The two Girls on the front desk were very polite but there is no shuttle or anything, I end up getting an uber and left home. I was so worried when I started reading the reviews wondering how this would go. I did not have many options as I have an interstate battery which was under warranty. Warranty states I must bring to authorized service center. The first one I call is very rude and provided misleading info. I then called here and spoke to Daniel. He first asked about my receipt and I explained I did not have it but interstates warranty states you do not need one as the authorized retailer can estimate the date based on battery and manufacture date. He checked the battery and confirmed it was not charging. He had already pulled another battery and when I arrived he was ready. He checked it and immediately took care of the pro rating of the new battery. In and out on 10 min. It took me longer to write this review then get help here. Well done!! read more

I depend on Firestone Auto for all my tire needs but one oppressively hot summer day my car died in a parking lot across the street from Firestone Auto. It seemed my battery had died and I just needed to replace the battery. Justin offered to help jump start the car and walked with us to the car. He easily diagnosed that the starter motor had failed and refused any payment for his kind service. This type of service goes above and beyond my expectations and has earned my respect and loyalty. read more

As I came in, front desk receptionist lady had an attitude for no reason. I didn't know I had to pay when I picked up my car, but she rolled her eyes before answering to me when I asked if I should pay now. Then it took 3 hours for my car to be ready when I actually made an appointment at 12 and dropped off at 11:55. I didn't get the call to pick up my car until 3:05! It was outrageous. She wasn't apologetic. She handed my paperwork and didn't even tell me my suggestion for the brake pads etc. overall, bad customer service!! read more

ShortStory: My car's starter broke while the car was in this shop's possession. They eventually fixed it, but only after I made a scene and demanded that they do so. In the end, everything worked out OK, but I give them two stars for extraordinarily poor customer care. LongStory: 1. 2005 Mini Cooper making scary grinding noises from engine. Made appt, took it in for diagnosis on Day 1. Car starting perfectly normal when I dropped it off. 2. Shop calls at noon on Day 1, says they test-drove car and there is noise coming from rear brakes; suggests replace both rear brake calipers. I say "No. It's an engine noise. From the front." They say they'll check again. 3. Shop calls at 5PM on day 1, says they now hear the noise, but don't know what it is; I should take it to a dealer (big help there). They ask me if there's any special ignition cutoff, because the car won't start. I say "no", and point out that it was starting when I left it with them, and that they started it themselves so they could test-drive it. 4. I go to the shop at end of day 1. Car won't start. Paul Grasso, the store manager, checks me out quickly, doesn't charge me, doesn't document the (clearly specious) rear brake diagnosis or the fact that the car now doesn't start. Paul even sends two mechanics out to "help me push start the car" so I can drive away. Paul wants me to go away. 5. One of the mechanics Paul sent out was Sam, who was the guy that test drove my car. He confirmed that it started just fine when he got it. Now it doesn't. 6. I talk to Paul and politely suggest that they should return my car in the same condition they found it, ie; starting. Paul says "not our problem, could be anything, have a nice day." Controversy ensues. Paul really wants me to just go away. 7. After *MUCH* argument, Paul reluctantly agrees to "open a claim". Says come back tomorrow. 8. Next day (Day 2), Paul accepts the keys again (car never left his shop) and puts me in a rent car. Says they will call. 9. Day 2 passes. Day 3 passes. 10. Day 4: shop calls, says car now fixed; come get it. I drop off the rent car and pick up my car, which now starts. Total out of pocket: $0 I give two stars instead of one simply because everything worked out OK in the end. Honestly tho; I shouldn't have had to fight so hard for them to do the right thing. If I weren't car-savvy or had perhaps a less forceful personality, I would have let Paul's two mechanics push-start me and driven away like he wanted me to. Lucky me. If the store manager had simply done the right thing from the first, without having to be pushed into it by a customer, this would be a glowing 5-star review. Instead, it's "meh. Utterly disappointed and upset with Firestone. Two issues: (1) no consistent policies regarding shuttle service; (2) For the usual services in its portfolio, tires, wheel alignment, and a few others, Firestone fits the bill, for other services go elsewhere. (1) I wanted to drop off my truck for services because there was a screeching, metal on metal sound that sounded like it was coming from the wheel-well. I stopped by Firestone because I thought that it may have been shocks or wheels related. I made an appointment for later in the week and inquired if there was a shuttle service to work. The manager informed me that they do shuttle within five miles of the store - great, my office was between five miles. Prior to dropping off my truck, I called Firestone to confirm, and yes, it was confirmed that shuttle service is available within five miles. The next morning at 0900, I dropped off my truck and was informed that a shuttle service was NOT available. ??????? So much for prior preparation and coordination. I needed my truck so dropped it off and had to catch a cab to work. So I'm down $20 and am upset. (2) In the afternoon, I received a phone call from Firestone stating that they could not diagnose the problem. Their master technician could not figure it out. So what I did next was to go to Plan B which should have been Plan A, I went to Backlick Road Services (Annandale) where they quickly diagnosed and resolved the problem. Bottom line? For tires, wheel alignments, etc., Firestone is adequate, just be prepared to wait. For other services, definitely go elsewhere. read more

The most inefficient organization I've ever experienced. My wife dropped her car off 10:00 AM on a walk in basis. When we returned at 4:50 PM (10 minutes before they closed) we noticed her car was parked as if it was ready for pickup. To our dismay, we were told that the paperwork wasn't done and ended up waiting for 40 minutes!!! When we went to the the front desk not only did they seemed unwilling to expedite the process; they retracted their statement and we found out they were just starting the oil change at 5:30 PM. This store is in dire need of analysis of their entire procedures to be at a level of efficiency to be expected. It makes no sense to accept as many walk ins as they can with no good way of tracking what has been done, or when the work will be complete. Within a few minutes someone called her to tell her that she could drop off her car for an oil change but they would not honor the online appointment she booked. She agreed. I came 2 weeks ago to get a simple wheel alignment done, but they said it would be a 6 hour wait. I had other things to do that day, so I put it off and came in today to get it done. They said they wouldn't be able to do it until tomorrow, so I said I would go elsewhere. As I drove away, one of the mechanics came out and stopped me. He told me how they couldn't do a wheel alignment on my car anyways because it does not have a VIN# on the door jam. I am thinking in my head, "Why does it matter at this point anyways?" I am already leaving and business is done. He asked me if the car was a clone or the real thing? And then asked me to open my door to check out the door jam. My car was legally imported under the 25 year rule (http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/FAQ%20Site/pages/page2.html#Anchor-28852). It is titled in Virginia, insured, and registered. The VIN # underneath the engine hood matches the VIN # on the Title. Enough said. I took my car to Pepboys in Annandale and they were able to do alignment with no issue. I honestly think the guy was mad because he couldn't get business or trying to be negative and make people's day worse. It has been 6 days since my father's funeral and I was having a good day until I went to them. I am never going back to this place again. read more

I recently went to hop in my car for a quick dash to the store and lo and behold, my battery was dead. Not the, "dammit I left my lights on again" kinda dead, but the "no wonder my dashboard gauges kept resetting for two weeks" kinda dead. After apartment doorknocking for jumper cables, my neighbor recommended Firestone for a battery and install. Yes, I am that person who believes any step into anything having to do with cars will include the obligatory up sell. Gladly, this was not the case! I was given 2 choices and a great overview between the two. Although I'm not used to having to pay for the install part ($59.00), I guess that's pretty common on the East Coast. The shop was clearly VERY busy yet they had me in and out in an hour. Meanwhile, I asked for an estimate for a brake job, and the guy showed my how the price would be reduced if various items were backed out. Also very cool that the mantra wasn't "oh yeah, you will definitely need everything on this list!" In addition, I heard the shop guy really talking up his staff to another customer. Not an insincere, "we've got the best crew in Springfield", but a genuine wonder as to how he got so lucky to keep talented crew. That says a lot to me. I came here today because it was a requirement of the rental company that I must take time out of my busy day to get an oil change for a vehicle that I'm renting from them. I get that it's important, and plus the fact that I've been driving their vehicle for months, it would make sense. But the problem I have is that the rental place didn't give me any other option, because they didn't have another available vehicle to give to me. They still don't have available card, but that's a different issue. With regards to this service station, I came here s couple of days ago to try get the oil change completed, and was given the same story. Every day no matter which day it is, there is ALWAYS a 2 - 3 hour wait for those vehicles where people are waiting. Today was no different. I realize that this isn't Jiffy Lube, but 3 hours for an oil change does seem like a lot. There people working here seem nice enough, so I will have to see how long this actually takes. I'm getting work done while waiting outside in my car. It is what it is I guess. read more
