Do yourself a favor and avoid this business. Today I went in for new front shocks to be installed on my GMC pickup truck with an appointment for 10:00 A.M. The truck did not move so at 11:00 AM I got my keys back and left. The parts were supposed to be ordered yesterday but the manager said they just arrived when I was about to leave, how about that? At the front of all Firestone Complete Auto Care is a placard that reads, 'I believe fundamental honesty is the keystone of business' by the founder Harvey Firestone. Great quote but they use this as deception with every intent of picking every customer's pockets. Every customer is an opportunity to steal is what their intent is. I am a US Marine Corps Veteran and for them to do this to me shows total lack of respect. There was another elderly gentleman there when I arrived at 9:45 AM with his pet dog in the waiting area, he was just getting an oil change and his vehicle too was not yet in a service bay, and he was not happy either. I have been to other Firestone locations and the other ones do an alignment sale whether it needs it or not, it is a way of printing $100. bills for the company. They show some bogus stats on how your alignment is off and they bilk hundreds and thousands of customers daily, weekly, yearly. Do yourself a favor and try to find a more honest alternative. These are not nice people. There is such deception and dishonesty I feel like I need a shower every time I leave one of these Firestone Complete Auto Care businesses, I will not return despite having a 12 month alignment warranty. Came to this Firestone at 5:00 pm for an oil change. Was instantly asked who sent me here and if I had an appt. Rep walked to the back and came back and told me they can't do the oil change even though they close at 7 pm and had nobody waiting. They just didn't feel like it! If you are not going to service until you close JUST CLOSE THE STORE! Makes no sense to tell someone you close in two hours and can't do an oil change with no wait time but simply bc you only had two workers. read more

Years ago we loved this Firestone. Their customer service care has gone completely downhill since & seems to be getting worse. Most of the guys behind the desk are rude when you walk in, with the exception of a couple. Also, last time I came in they were blaring a politically charged news channel on television- which I kindly changed to something more neutral and standard for a car mechanic lobby. When I returned to pick up my car it was back on and the remote was moved out of sight so it couldn't be changed or turned off? Which I thought was odd. Then I had to ask where my van was as it was not in the front lot ready for pick up despite the fact that they had called to let me know it was ready. When I inquired with someone behind the desk they basically shrugged and said maybe it was out back- not offering to go get it, which they clearly should have. Mind you, their front lot wasn't full. There were several available spots. So I trekked all the way to the back of their building to hunt down my vehicle so I could leave. I'll never be going back there- which is unfortunate as it's extremely convenient & close to my house. It's a shame they don't care more about the treatment of their customers & the overall experience they offer. I'll gladly drive farther to get an oil change where I'm actually treated with kindness & respect & where they actually value their customers. read more

Firestone is a well respected brand name. But not all Firestone franchise shops are equal. I came here for an oil change and tire replacement. My front driver's side wheel had a tread so worn that the measurement of the tread depth came to 1/16 of an inch! Firestone ordered me a tire (not a Firestone tire) that was well within my budget and changed both oil and tire with professional efficiency. The only reason they did not get 5 stars is they told me when I dropped off the car at 1pm that it would be ready at 5pm. When i returned at 5pm they apologized for being behind schedule. I had to wait 1 1/2 hrs for them to complete the work. During that wait I heard them telephoning other customers to let them know their car was ready. If I had waited for their call I would not have had to wait, but they did not inform me that they would call when the work was complete. read more

I had a check engine light and two others show up about a month after Firestone replaced some sensors on my vehicle, so I brought it back for them to check out. As it turns out I had 2 small rubber vacuum hoses that had gone bad in the Florida heat and humidity and needed to be replaced. The work was completed by the friendly staff, at a very reasonable cost and I was back on the road again. Just say no. Went to this store after a recommendation from a friend for a new set of tires for my Toyota Highlander. After 1st set was balanced 4x to solve a vibration issue, I upgraded to a top quality tire. Still had some vibration that was remedied while on a trip to NC. The balancer there said about the last balancing, ' the balancer was off, or the guy running it was a dumbass.' Vibrations now gone thanks to a shop in Weaverville NC. DO NOT SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE @ 9TH STREET!!! I brought my vehicle here to have alignment (I paid for 3 year alignment service). They told me that my CV Joint was bad and needed to be replaced. Gave them the green light to fix. They called back later that day to say "No you just need the boot replaced" in which I said fine I'll save some money. Picked up the car next day and before I get home hear some rubbing. Looked under the car and saw the boot was not attached. Brought it back, after a couple hours got a call that Rack was bad/leaking needed to be replaced. Told them it wasn't leaking before "I'll come pick it up", in which they replied "It's taken apart and un-drivable unless we fix". $2700. I'm like "Ok" fix it. Took them about a week. Got it back Drove half a mile car wouldn't turn (stiff steering). Took it back, They kept a couple more days and said the power steering was shot. Manager, who is the worst BTW, told me to take it to the dealer and FS would pay for the diagnostic. "??" Summary went in for "Free Alignment" spent over $3500. Car is un-drivable. Had to purchase new vehicle. If you look at the people that got scammed by them and their reviews, you'll see "Contact socialcare@bfrc.com" which is a BS way of saying "You're Screwed". Future customers beware! Where do I begin? They made me purchase a year long alignment. The second time I set an appointment for Tuesday morning specifically for an alignment and tire rotation (since they didn't rotate the first time). They told me it would take an hour. I get a call an hour later saying I needed a new bulb, a tire was punctured by a nail and was repairable, and a gasket was seeping oil and needed to be replaced. I told them to hold off on the bulb (seeing as it was $2.99 and they wanted to charge me $14.99), and the gasket because I had not seen a drop of oil in my driveway and it had been sitting in the same spot for 7 days and intended to take it to a different place for an oil change. I told them to patch the tire and they charged me $21 (which was all I ended up spending). It took them an additional hour and a half to patch it. They gave me a recommended service that showed with just the bulb and gasket (the gasket part only being $85.99), they wanted to charge me $730.37. The person who rang me up didn't even show me it after I paid, and I didn't see it until I got home. I took it in today (2 days later) to get an oil change at a different shop and the mechanic actually came and got me out of the waiting area and showed me the same tire that Firestone had patched and the wires were almost showing through. I needed a new tire! I also asked him if anything was leaking oil-wise and he said, "nothing out of the ordinary." All I'm saying is literally use anyone else. read more

Pretty sure you (like me) can count on them finding hundreds of dollars worth of additional "issues" they recommend to be taken care of. It's not my daily driver so I just got the "$150 dollar oil change" & called it a wrap. I gotta say, the guys are really nice... The shop is walking distance for me... But I'll be looking for a non-corporate "mom & pop" shop. I'd rather pay the mechanics than the shareholders. read more

5 stars! I received a oil change for my 2021 Tacoma today at 6 and was out in less than an hour and these awesome guys even filled my tires up with air! Todd was amazing! He was basically handling everything from the phone calls the to mechanics coming in and dropping off paperwork, to the walk-ins that happened. GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE! He worked professionally, polite and calm in every situation that arose as I sat there and waited. I thanked him so much for doing my truck so late and also wanted to thank the mechanics there. You can tell they're working so hard with the few guys in the shop they have there. I grew up around the mechanic field, and most of my family are mechanics. Todd and his crew working in the back all deserve recognition and a nice raise for the hard work they're doing, especially Todd! He was the only one there keeping the place moving and hustled to keep everyone happy. Thank you Firestone, for the guys you have working there, please take notice for the hard work they're doing, because they definitely deserve it! And FYI to the public, take your cars here and get worked on, it's an awesome place! But also, be a human being and have a little patience. You take care of your car, the car takes care of you. If I wrote everything that went horrible at the 9th St location in St Petersburg It would be six paragraphs long. I could never recommend Firestone on 9th St with a good conscience. One of the things that was replaced was the brakes. When you push on the brakes you have to push almost to the floor. I will say that the tire manager Steve was extremely professional and was the only person I can say is an All Star. Buyer beware my bill was initially quoted at $800 and they kept finding new problems throughout the week and making me believe I was getting a discount. In the end I payed almost $2400.00 dollars in repairs more than I payed for the car. I had no choice to pay it as I needed the car back. I was encouraged to open a Firestone credit card which I did and payed it off already. But my initial visit to this Firestone was to get the $9.99 assessment. In the end I shelled out nearly $2400.00 dollars. The whole experience is to much to type out on here. But if you don't want to get ripped off I would stay far away from this place. I don't usually leave bad reviews about businesses but it really was a nightmare read more

I brought my car in just to get looked at for my AC and was told my compressor was bad and a few valves needed replaced. They quoted me $1700 before tax after tax being $2000 to fix everything. Well I couldn't afford that (who can may as well just buy a new car). When I did bring it in it was blowing out a little bit of warm air but was definitely still cold while driving. Well I got my car back yesterday and it is now blowing out complete heat way worse than it was when I dropped it off. I will NEVER bring my car back here and I suggest you do the same. Really disappointed with this shop, I recommended it to a few people and then when I had my wife take in her Jeep for a oil change and inspection, I was surprised at the inspection report. The shop recommended a rear wiper replacement which I just replaced two weeks prior and on the inspection sheet it listed the transmission as auto... this wrangler is a manual. Apparently there is no attention to detail and techs can just fill out whatever they like, I should have reviewed the sheet before I left so I didn't pay for a incompetent inspection. read more

This place must be hungry after the lockdown. I took my vehicle there for an oil change and tire rotation. The only reason I went there instead of my regular spot was to get my tires rotated and a slow leak fixed. After half an hour they told me the leak wasn't fixable but not to worry because they could hook me up. Came back to me about twenty minutes later with a $900 offer for a new set of tires. I told them I was good, just wanted the rotation and oil changed. They came back a while later and said I needed new tires, rotors and brakes. $1500. Bottom line, this joint held me and my truck hostage for an hour and a half while peppering me with 'discounted' offers for brakes and tires that I don't need. Here's the kicker, today my tire with the slow leak was a bit low and it was never rotated. Took my wheels off and put them straight back on. The desperation was palpable. ** Story time ** I am leaving my place to get some food, I notice an attractive member of the opposite sex, my steering wheel drifts right and I smack a curb, popping my tire and UNBEKNOWNST to me and Firestone ^.^ Snapped/Severely damaged my my strut (front right passenger side of car)... I circle back home have a hell of a time slapping on the spare tire, weight my options, assess the damage and decide I will drive to work for the remainder of the week (it was a Wednesday night) Anywho, I drive myself to Work and notice there is something seriously wrong with the front right side of my car besides the spare tire currently transporting me to and from Work. Weekend comes about and I take It to firestone explain what happened and ask them to check it out and make sure I'm good because there is surely something wrong, I definitely broke Something .... Anyway they change the tire tell me it's just the alignment that's severely messed up, okay cool fix it and change the tire.... I'm over this and my food is here.... Okay so itTURNS OUT MY STRUT IS SNAPPED But I kept driving with severe issues for quite a while before finally taking it in to the place near my work I've never been because at this point I have no choice and they tell me if I really want and need that to be the case than ALL I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE JUST THE ONE STRUT REPLACED is 170$ this is the cost of labor and ordering a new strut online (This was taken care of at the shop up The street from my job, on an emergency whim... so glad I found them - 49th street auto repair) .... Okay fast forward 2 weeks after I fix the broken strut and I want to use my firestone credit card to replace the other strut because I'm short on cash and I so I can have TWO News struts and not just the one I replaced AND I tell them about how they missed the broken/ damaged strut the first time AND THEY STILL PROCEED TO give me an ESTIMATE OF 600$ for one strut .... Like No thanks! Glad your negligence caused you to miss the fact I had a snapped or nearly snapped strut the first time around and I will take paying 170$ cash over 600$ credit at Firestone anyday!!!!! **CAR OWNERS BEWARE** Warren (don't know spelling of name) was rude over the phone and when I explained the reason for my questions he offered no assistance. He was very condescending and when I went in person he was arguing with another customer. I was then "helped" by Ray the manager who was condescending as well. I asked if they were under silver rock (as I just bought the car which I told them repeatedly) & he responded with an attitude saying no do you mean if we use silver rock cause we do. I'm dead sure he knew what I meant but wanted to be an a$$ about it. Then he said so what're we doing picking up the car or not? It's like they were trying so hard to be a$$es that commen sense went out the window & their critical thinking skills hid under the desk. After clarifying the obvious about silver rock covering the recommended services for me he said to have a seat. I sit and wait during this time the manager tells a GUY that he was approved & they're working on his car meanwhile another guy takes my car back into the shop. I wait to see if any one of them will tell me anything but nobody ever did. I had to go ask if my claim was approved (& the manager thought getting up from his desk to talk to me would be too much) twice & he kept saying they're almost done & their working on it (that's not what I asked). I go back sit down & had to call silver rock to see if it was approved luckily it was. I doubt they would take my car back without getting it approved but you can't trust everyone and considering the way they were treating me up to this point I'd trust a rattle snake more than them. Finally my car is done he asked if my email was correct I said yes and he said I'm all set. He didn't explain anything to me about what he did or it being covered... nothing. I wasn't even sure if the inspection was covered and had to ask if I needed to pay that. I know what y'all are thinking like I'm cheap and didn't want to pay but that's not the case, I literally just bought the car a week before I took it in to get checked. Dealership said if anything is wrong with it within 30 days of buying it they would cover it. This is what I was doing my due diligence to be sure I didn't get a lemon off the lot & the fact that none of the people at the autoshop thought about this is ridiculous. The fact that I repeatedly told them I just bought the car and I want to make sure nothing is wrong with it should of sparked their light bulbs. I guess them repeatedly asking me what was wrong with the car or why I'm bringing it in should've been my dead giveaway that they don't want to do their job or that they thought they weren't going to make any money (which they were wrong about). I always came to this shop for my old car and they were always nice but after this I'm never going to this shop again. Had an awesome experience with this location from start to finish. Call on the phone was quick, helpful, friendly. The mechanic that worked on my truck, Logan, got the problem fixed in one day, fuel pump went out, and it's running like new. He seemed passionate about his work, had good customer service skills and also shared with me his specific interest in Toyota's which made me comfortable knowing my truck was in good hands. Used this shop 12/10/2014 to change car battery. Had a coupon. As I am a woman, they tried to take advantage of me. Manager was not happy about coupon,tryed to convince me to do some "inspection" for $24.99.After refusing this inspection,car was returned with new battery and alternator light on.He said "may need to change alternator".My car have 35000 miles only! On the paper produced my manager "Average reported mileage" is 88000(?) At least manager is a big bully.Go to ACE on 4th street instead.Don't repeat my mistake! read more

I had a pretty average experience here. I ended up getting tires changed with an oil change. I don't really have any complains as far as I know. The facilities is just like any other auto shop. This location is relatively small. There are nearby shopping places in case the waiting room isn't enough entertain. They have pretty decent deals for tires, at least at the time that I was here. read more

I just moved to town and was a little worried when the Firestone here only had three stars. My experience was great though. The front desk, albeit busy, was responsive and professional. They actually talk to you like a person rather than a random customer. He was letting me know where to get some lunch or kill some time at a bowling alley if I was bored. The technician showed me what was wrong with my car without trying to up sell me. He was just letting me know for my own knowledge. The building itself is no frills. Personally, I prefer having a personal professional mechanic to a waiting room with bottles of water and car magazines. I intend on making this my regular mechanic. read more
