Stay far far FAR away from this location. They took over an hour and a half to do an oil change + tire rotation. I left and they had not put back my wheel key that they used for their rotation and I had to turn around and go grab it. They also tried to overcharge me TWICE in a row and I had to correct them. They don't do any diagnostics, they only add fluids. Even the auto parts megastore can run diagnostics so I don't understand why Jiffy Lube can't. I went in for an oil change in October to the St. Petersburg, FL store #227 just before making a trip to Tennessee for the holidays for an oil change. On making a trip from FL to TN during the trip, on routine gas fill up and checking fluids/oil I found my brake fluid cap had not been replaced and was missing. At the time of the oil change I did have a brake fluid cap because they tried to sell me services for my brakes, so I definitely had one at the appointment when I arrived. I contacted St. Petersburg, FL Jiffy Lube regarding this. I was guided to a "manager" Jarvis James, who was very short but we came to an agreement. . He agreed to reimburse me for a brake flush and new cap. I agreed to this, which did not take into account the danger I endured driving high speeds on the interstate with no brake fluid cap, damage that potentially could have happened to my truck and spent my time and money doing a brake fluid flush in Tennessee. No reimbursement. Poor rude management. I now would like not only the brake flush and brake fluid cap reimbursed, but also the amount I paid for the oil change which is what started this and they have scammed me into a service I didn't need. At the time of service, I thought that I was having a really great experience. The team working that day were friendly and seemingly very helpful. I was quoted 9 issues that were "critical" needs in my car. I chose to go with the oil change, which was my original purpose for going and the brake fluid flush, and cabin filter changed. I told them I would prefer to just buy a much cheaper filter on Amazon and replace it myself and they replied that the filters online don't actually work (now I'm questioning the validity of that statement.) I ended up spending $300. When I got home, I could hear whining when I was turning and my front tire looked extremely low and the warning light for my tire pressure was going off on my dash. So I called back in and asked if adding air to my tires and power steering fluid were things that I should have received at the service and I was assured that they always do that and I had been provided that service. I immediately returned and found that my tire was at 15 psi and they had not in fact, filled my fluid, even though even when I returned, they told me that what I really needed was a transmission fluid flush. I asked them to just fill up the fluid as they were supposed to And left. I took pictures of what my fluid level looked like when I returned home from the initial visit and what it looked like when I returned home from my second visit and it's blatantly obvious that I never received the service the first time around. It's very disappointing and makes me really question if I actually received the brake fluid flush that they alleged I was given. It's unfortunate because the people working there seemed helpful and kind but I feel duped And could never honestly recommend this business to anyone. Took my vehicle, which is an older high mileage Nissan that's been having transmission issues, here for an oil change the other week. Got told by one of the evening guys that it needed a transmission fluid flush really bad but that it would cost $288. I insisted I only wanted the oil change bc I already was aware that the transmission is going bad. He insisted that the flush would "FIX" what was wrong with my transmission and that they'd even wave the cost f of the oil change if I did it. FIXED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Got in my vehicle after they serviced it and one of the other guys starts to tell me that it's probably a belt that gets the gears into position that needs replacing and tries to refer me to some shop he's familiar with. They also tried to push me to get a brake fluid flush, which it does need. I refused atm bc they wanted another $120 to do that. Took it to my regular mechanic, who quoted me at $85 for a brake fluid flush, but after he looked at it refused to do the service bc of the transmission issue or take my money in ANY capacity and actually insisted that I Not put any more money into this vehicle since he understood that when these transmissions have issues (I drive a 2008 Nissan versa) the whole thing needs replacing, which is more than the vehicle is worth by a long shot. After reading some of these other 1 star reviews I guess I'm not surprised but wasn't aware at the time. Go here if you need an oil change BUT NOTHING ELSE. I used a Groupon which was supposed to cover the cost of my oil change but instead they just deducted the amount I paid for my Groupon from the total bill and then charged me for the balance?! Total scam artists. They also tried to tell me that my coolant and brake fluid were "dangerously low" and needed to be flushed and replaced. My husband checked both when he got home from work (I declined their offer to change them) and he said they were both barely low at all and don't need to be flushed from the car for another 110,000 miles per BMW. Went to Jiffy Lube at this location to get my oil changed. I am from Illinois. I told them that I wanted an oil change using 5W-30 Blend. This is a half synthetic half oil blend. The oil runs about 8 dollars a quart on average. While I was waiting the also asked me if I had cash as their computer was down and the could not run a credit card. I said that was fine. I know computers can be trouble some times. Then the shocker. When the where finished I asked how much. The said $113.00. I was floored. I paid them the money and asked for a receipt again the said they could not print one because the computer was down. Jiffy Lube, at the corner of 58th and Central engages in predatory business practices. On Feb 15th they oversold my mother on a simple oil change for $260.00. The total was $370.79. She is 68 yrs old and not as quick on the uptake as she once was. We've given them a week and now they won't take or return my call. It's tough enough these days to get by on fixed income without companies taking advantage. Judging by the rest of these reviews it seems like standard operating procedure. I am writing to advise of this store taking advantage of an elderly female customer. My mother was lured into this store by $20 off add on Facebook. Instead of a standard oil change, they sold a completely unnecessary synthetic change for $104.99 plus disposal and BS oil system cleaner for $15. They then managed to sell a brake system flush for $99.99. The pads and calipers were replaced at my brother inlaws shop a few months ago and the system was flushed in conjunction with that repair.
