This was a waste of time. I made an appointment to have them diagnose my car's problems. I wrote what was wrong in the appointment set up, and called before hand to make sure I could come to the appt. I get there and the man behind the counter immediately says he cannot help me because they don't have a person on staff with that capability. He pointed to the help wanted sign and laughed about it. I am frustrated because why wasn't I called to say they couldn't assist me? I drove across town to have them work on my car that barely turned on for me to even get there in the first place. It seemed as if he didn't want to assist me in the first place. I do not recommend. (I also understand being understaffed but that needs to be communicated so it doesn't cause issues for the customer.) read more

Insane world we live in these days, come in to have them just tell me the code related to my newly shown engine light and get told they can't fit me in till tomorrow. Mind you this tasks just requires someone plugging in the tester in my car (a 2 minute task that requires little to no effort). This location does not deserve the 2.5 rating it has. People who rate this low don't understand what a mechanic has to do and understand pricing. They are honest and will tell you exactly what your car needs. I came in thinking I needed my brake pads replaced and they told me that it wasn't necessary and just let me go with the free brake inspection. read more

I cannot stand this location and the poor quality service. I had an emergency flat and they were the first place I could pull into. I ask the technician for assistance he just hands me the air pump and walks away. My tire was completely blown out (the valve stem literally flew off as I was attempting to fill it with air on the spot) so they replace it. Few months after that I go to get my tires rotated at another tire location, they call back after I drop it off and ask me why I didn't give them the lug lock. I told them I had no idea what they were talking about. Turns out this was put on my tire without my knowledge or consent and they couldn't get it off, I'd have to take it back to this Firestone. I call and they said the tech that installed it isn't in that day so there was nothing they could do, which is RIDICULOUS. Doesn't give me any suggestions or offers to call another location, nothing, just hangs up on me. Unfortunately I don't have this part documented as I should have with photos, but this other location also informed me the tire I had installed wasn't new like I had asked and PAID FOR. I've attempted to get in touch with someone higher up at this location and they basically just called me a liar, that wasn't what was in their system. Go literally anywhere else, the only saving grace was another Firestone down the way offered to break the lock for me. read more

Made an appointment to fix a flat tire (rear driver side tire had a nail). Manager, Rafael, called me and told me that the tire was not repairable and that I needed an air filet and an A/C filter. While he started to look at a price for a replacement tire I told him I wasn't buying a tire. I asked about the filters and how they determined that they needed to be changed (since I only want to fix a rear tire), he said they do a "courtesy check" and found both filters needed to be replaced. I changed the engine air filter 2 weeks ago when I changed the oil and the A/C filer is impossible to see or remove unless you remove the glove compartment (2001 Avalon - 7 screws and bolts and several light cables). When I walked out the hood of my car was open. I walked inside and asked why are they checking anything else without my consent and Rafael said that they do courtesy checks ( they should ask permission) and that if I didn't like it to go somewhere else next time. I walked to my car and the mechanic gave me the keys. I asked him why was he checking the engine and he said it was on the work order even though my appointment was to only fix a tire. I asked him how he checked the A/C filter and he said it was behind the glove compartment. When I asked him how he removed the glove compartment he said that they automatically recommend an A/C filter if the engine air filter (2 weeks old) was dirty. I asked him to show me how to get to the A/C filter and he walked to the car and opened the hood. When I asked him to show me the A/C filter, he opened the glove compartment and said "there it is". I asked him to pull it out and show me he just walked away. Go to this store if you want to be robbed. read more

I took my Honda to the Firestone on N. Dale Mabry to fix the air conditioning, specifically asked them to check the freon level since it had leaked once before. The employee told me the entire system -- compressor, condenser, etc. needed to be replaced to the tune of $1,800. When I asked about the freon level he spun a tale about how it's illegal to replace the freon and the store could be fined up to $25,000. Really? How stupid did he think I was? I, of course, left the shop and will never return. Took the car to a reputable auto shop, Meredith's in Land o' Lakes, who replaced the freon and I was out the door for just over $200 and enjoying my air conditioning. As a senior woman, I am so tired of men assuming they can take advantage of women as if age renders us stupid. My instincts about this person were correct and I detected his dishonesty immediately. Got tires and brakes on all 4 about 5 months ago. They used tire shine instead of wheel lube, which they openly admitted. Though I had an early appointment made and was helped quickly, I waited about three hours for this work. They used air guns to tighten my calipers, which are not able to be removed without stripping bolt heads now. read more

Super frustrated coming to this location. I have purchased lifetime alignments from Firestone for every car I have ever owned. I have never had any issues with Firestone before. My neighbor warned me not to come to this location. I should have listened. Called at 2:30pm and asked if they could align my car if I dropped it off within 15 mins. They said yes it would be 2 hour wait. I called at 5pm and they said it wasn't done. Told me it would be done by 6pm. Show up at 6:30pm and they tell me they haven't even gotten to it, it's not even in the bay! My response was "you close in 30 minutes how is this going to get done?" Firestone's response, "we will get it done". Are you kidding me? You have not followed through on anything you told me thus far today. I have brought my vehicles to fire stone since I was first licensed almost 16 years ago . This location is absolutely terrible. I brought my car in for an oil change and alignment on February 2 and to this day and still fighting with them about work they did to my vehicle. When they did the alignment they broke a bolt as well as broke that bolt into the control arm and replaced it however in the process damage the other control arm which they are not taking responsibility for. Buyer beware! Do not bring your car to this fire stone ever because your car will come out worse than when you brought it in. read more

I have two cars with I take to this place I live around the way so when I need 4 new tires I went to them , I need an oil change I will go there as well . But my lost visit I went to the store after set my appointment a day before because I was going out of town the weekend the earliest time conflict with my lunch hour and I ask how long they told me 1hr with made me have I left work and got there still say 1hr wait time ....................long story short 4hrs later my car was done and they close shop promptly even with my concerns about not have air in my tire I got a bs take by a tech. Who a sured me that it will adjust itself as I drive didn't want to argue with him even though i knew it was bs . Got in trouble at work the management who I didn't get left voicemail got a call back manger came on the phone as me to hold and then didn't come back on the the phone so that's my store about never go to this store because they are not consistent with there service read more

The staff is super friendly and knowledgable and they don't try to sell u a million things. I did sit there for 3 hours for an oil change on my husbands truck, but to compensate they offered my next one to be free, which they let me use for my other car that requires synthetic, so they saved me $75! I feel like the staff is honest (my check engine light was on because of my fuel hose & they told me I could spend thousands to find out the specific problem, but that it's not necessary and my car will function just fine). They also offered several types of ways to see if I had an oil leak & to bring my car back a few times to run different tests, at no charge. UPDATE***** The wait is a bit too long (hour or more), but the service is great. Whenever I've had questions or concerns, they've taken care of them and never made me feel like I was being rushed out, or brushed off. They have made sure all my questions have been answered, and I would rather drive out to this place every time I need to than go to the ones that are closer to me. ^^^This was my review a while ago, out of complete ignorance toward vehicles. I was there a while ago, and they screwed me over. I made an appointment early in the day, they kept me there almost ALL DAY LONG. I was there to change JUST two tires. They came back and told me that ALL my tires were bad, and needed to be changed. Me, like a fool, believed the "urgency" of the issue and bought a "deal" they had going on. From around a 100$ service, it spiked it to almost $500. I asked to keep my tires, I got them inspected from a reliable source, and THEY WERE GOOD. There was NO need to have them changed AT ALL. Now I know when my tires actually need changing, and to NOT go such a dishonest business ever again. I'm out hundreds of dollars, and now I have to sell my extra tires to get some money back. It all could have been prevented had they not lied and exaggerated the situation to get money out of me. Extremely disappointing and frustrating. I will say this, they're just another greedy business who is dishonest and just wants your money. Find someone else to work on your vehicle and save yourself the money AND headache. read more

Professional workers that don't try to scam you with things you don't actually need done for your vehicle. I recieved an alignment and tire balance(long overdue for my car), as well as an oil change. My car feels like new, its steady and steers well again, and the steering wheel no longer vibrates over 60mph now thanks to the tire balance. And they are open on sundays, which is when I had this done...very helpful since I have very little free time. read more
