Called Firestone on Sunday, September 17 to ask if they could look my car over after a minor accident the night before. The person answering the phone told me they'd be glad to help and said there would be no wait after around 11:00AM. The manager on duty when I arrived couldn't have been less helpful. He first tried to sell me a "lifetime alignment" which I declined. After explaining again I was concerned about if the car was safe to drive and wanted the alignment checked after the accident, he told me I would have a 3-4 hour wait. I then asked if he knew of another shop I could take the car and was told "nothing's open in Tucson on Sunday". I did find a shop to look the car over and won't be going to Firestone again. read more

I will start by saying that this location fixed a problem that the El Con location didn't fix after spending $830.00. They only completed half the job. Christian went above and beyond the call of duty, by assuring that the car was fixed properly and my daughter make it to safely to her home in Scottsdale. I always used the El Con location, but won't be anymore. Thank you to Christian, Phil and the "A" mechanic that made sure that the car was in perfect condition. I brought my car in for a tuneup. They said a diagnostic had to be run. They run it and then tell me the car will be $2400 to fix, which is a lot more than other places. Then they say they can't send me the cost breakdown so I can do comparative pricing. Then when I go to pick up the car they say either I give them $515 to fix it so it can drive because of a bad oil pan or call a tow truck. They drained all the oil, didn't put any in and said the car was disabled. The car wasn't disabled and I drove it home two blocks. I can't trust these people nor will I ever go back. Very shady and a money grab. read more

He was very polite and profession, told me to come on in. Today I had to get my car towed to Firestone due to a hose bursting, and they were incredibly helpful. A man named Christian helped us and he was knowledgable, and seemed to want to do what was best both for my car and most efficient cost wise! I thought I would be there for hours and pay tons of money but I was there for an hour tops, and paid under $100 dollars. They also have a student discount which is nice. read more

Woke up to our tire having a screw in it. They were the only place open at 7 am and said they could get us right in! Not only were the staff friendly, they didn't charge us anything to repair the tire! Definitely will be coming back for all of our maintenance needs! read more

I had a flat tire and was waiting for a tow truck so I called Firestone to check wait times. They said it was a two hour wait until they could see my car, and they made an appointment for me. The tow truck took and hour and a half to get to me, and I thought timing would be perfect. I called again to verify, and they said I lost my place in line and it would be a two hour wait before they got to my car. Horrible service. read more

I've gone to this Firestone location for routine oil changes, alignments, and tire rotations since 1999 when I owned my first car. The guy I usually see has always been there and he's always extremely nice. In fact, everyone I've dealt with have always been friendly, gave quick explanations and never try to upsell anything. I usually just drop the truck off and tell them to call me when it's done, which is usually within an hour, and on the few occassions where I've needed service last minute before a road trip, they've always managed to get it done in about 30 mins...even when they're busy. I've had bad experiences with other auto service places so I find myself fortunate to get the service I get here. read more

First of all, I got my tires from them and I am glad I did. With all the roadwork on Grant road, I found myself going through a deep trench that was not properly barricaded. I was terrified that I broke my Subaru! I took it to Firestone with them knowing that any extensive damage would have to be done by another company that my insurance approved. I bought lifetime alignment (very well worth it!). Thankfully, it was only an alignment issue and it was done for free! On top of that, I had gone somewhere else (Jiffy Lube) for an oil change and they messed up my glove box trying to get my AC filter out. Christian fixed it for me. Went for an oil change. Had a deal from car advise that sounded too good to be true. It was!! I was there for 2 hours and no oil change! I don't know the guys name who was helping me but he seemed to be in charge. He told me I had no oil in my engine. That I had driven there with no oil. He said I could not drive out because my car would not hold oil and my engine would seize. Little did he know I have had that leak for over 2 years. My regular mechanic has been watching it. He just did some work and looked at it about 3 weeks ago. While probably low, if I had no oil the oil light would have came on. It always does! I told him I did not want to fix it. He made it sound like a really big deal and that if I drove my engine was bound to explode and the heavens would reign fury upon my head, and all future suffering on earth would be my fault. He was very dramatic. So, they basically drained my car of all the oil and gave it back. I drove just to the next parking lot, parked, walked to autozone, and bought 2 quarts of oil. Then drove straight to my regular mechanic and he changed the oil and sent me on my merry way. He said come back when you have the time and money to fix that leak. Do not trust these guys! My daughters car broke down in this parking lot while she was away at school. She has very little experience dealing with auto shops, except for oil changes at our local mechanic in chandler. A gentleman named Christian took great care of my daughter, made her feel comfortable and offered every discount their company had to offer. My wiper fluid was not squirting out and they diagnosed the issue to a bad washer pump. The technician asked to get the part from near by Auto Zone he was kind enough to install it for free. I have used Firestone a lot in other states so I chose to use this one that was close to my house despite some negative reviews because hey, it's still a Firestone. So I went in and got two new e class tires for my van and had them look it over before a road trip. The service manager called me to let me know all the work that needed to be done. When I agreed she called back with more work that needed to be done. I picked the two or three things I thought would be priority- alignment and front brakes. She called me back about how the alignment wouldn't hold unless I did the control arm too. So I opted for just doing the back brakes and drums or rotors (whatever I don't remember), buying two tires, and leaving the front work for next time. I took a different vehicle for the trip. I don't use this van much. When I sold it 3 thousand miles later, the mechanics for the purchaser said no work had been done on the brakes. So what did I pay for? I would not go back unless I had the time to sit there and watch them do the work. Which will never happen. read more

Do not go to the store the customer service is horrible and they will do things to sabotage your car. I would not recommend this store to anybody even if your car was broke down on the side of the road and they were the only people there to pick you up... do not go there! The first time I had an issue I assumed they had my best interest in mind...I did go back the second time and now this is the third time my car was sabatagoed! First of all, amazing customer service & student discount!! After many problems with my maverick of a civic, and my long time mechanic being in a different city, I started taking my car to this Firestone so I could have consistency with care of my vehicle. I am so glad I did! I had very comprehensive explanations of what was wrong where the mechanic or store manager (Christian) would show me my engine and where the problems were. They even did a test to show me a leak right in front of me so I could understand what was going on. They practically rebuilt my engine (about 6 months ago) and gave me such a good deal! When I had more problems recently almost everything was covered under the lifetime warranty of the work they had already done, and what wasn't covered the manager took care of me to make sure I was a satisfied customer. I've also gone in for oil changes, work on my windows, and alignments. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else! read more

My daughter took in her car to have the timing belt replaced. They did a terrific job, but my daughter noticed a strange noise. A couple of days later she took her car back to Firestone and they diagnosed that the power steering was going out and needed replaced. We mentioned to the manager (Chris) that since my daughter noticed the noise immediately after she picked up the car the first time that this could be related to the previous work. Chris agreed that it was possible the power steering problem may have been caused by Firestone and agreed to replace everything at no charge. Chris was very open to listening to our concerns and was very respectful. He didn't need to do what he did, but since it was possible that it was the mistake of Firestone he felt it was the right thing to do. I had purchased 2 tires around Thanksgiving in 2012 with a 50,000 warranty. I've only used 20,000 and they wanted to charge me to get new tires because they "don't sell Goodyear". Not to mention I brought in the original receipt and warranty book. Also, the customer service was horrible when I went for my oil change on Sunday. Avoid this location and don't look back. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and replace a worn out serpentine belt. During the day the mechanic called with a list of things my car needed including 4 nails in one tire. I became suspicious of the experience for my vehicle had been in great running condition. About a month later the pulley to the serpentine belt began to rattle terribly and ruined the new serpentine belt and both had to be replaced. I began to experience Other troubles to my car soon after the initial visit. read more

terrible place. they tried to charge me $1200 for something and I called my mechanic back home who was able to diagnose the problem and fix it for free over the phone. they then didn't have my car ready when they said it would be and I had to go back the next day to get it. When I got there they still were not done and I had to wait an extra 30 minutes. I got a call from them a week later saying they forgot to put the engine cover back on so I had to drive all the way down there, again. They lost the bolts for my engine cover so I waited another 30 minutes for them to create make shift bolts. no one was even apologetic or seemed to care. overall it was terrible service and they tried to rip me off.
