My partner and I had a poor experience at this Firestone location - Just horrible customer service. We had an appointment at noon for an oil change and dropped our car off. The front desk rep told us he would call us in about 2 hours for us to come pick up the car. 3 hours pass and we hadn't heard a thing. Knowing they close at 5, we called. They said they were currently working on the car (sure) and that it should be done soon. We said we would plan to get there around 4 (an hour from the current time), and then the rep on the line told us we should wait until closer to 4:30. We arrived at 4:30 and the car was still being worked on. It wasn't until 5:30 that we were able to take our car. 30 minutes after their closing time. So I hope, at the very least, they took good care of our car! I know they are busy, and I really don't mind them taking 5+ hours to get the work done, but can you just be honest on when to expect it to be done? Sigh. I really like firestone but this place leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Do not go to this particular firestone location if its your first time going to firestone. Why? They suck. I gave them 2 stars because Kaiimi was helpful. But Jacky sucked. We told her the two problems we wanted checked on our truck. She said both of these would be covered under the $21.99 inspection. It was not. In fact they told us NOTHING we didnt already know. And none of the issues with the truck got fixed. They didnt even drive it to troubleshoot it. It idled low and shook bad at 50+ mph. But instead they said our brake fluid was bad! Screw this firestone. It should be shut down. read more

THEY ARE DECEITFUL AND PREY ON THE UNAWARE. August 2015, my friends son takes his car in for a loud muffler noise. After their 65$ inspection fee the quote 900$ to fix. We took to the car to a muffler shop and they fixed for 50$. Turns out to be a broken bolt where muffler attaches to manifold, one bolt. After hearing this I had to share my story and help protect other yelpers. I had brake pads replaced and rotors turned. After About six months and much confusion about where this mysterious rattle noise is coming from, I finally realized that it stops when I step on the brakes. I take it to a reputable shop and they tell me they installed the wrong size brakes. When I return to Firestone they tell me the brakes need to work themselves in (which is a complete lie) and if I want them replace I'll have to pay full price again! Of course they got me to leave and now of course it's out of warranty. Yes, they deny putting in the wrong parts, yes they don't stand behind their work. Either way I'm going to be forced to pay full price again DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, GO SOMEWHERE REPUTABLE. I made a 9am appointment for an oil change and wheel alignment for my vehicle. I informed them that I would be picking it up the next morning around the same time. I come in the next morning at 10am and my car is not even ready. They haven't even touched my vehicle. They're excuse was that they were swamped the day prior. I can understand being busy, but what was the point of making an appointment when I could have just came in as a walk-in and recieved the same result. They could have called and told me that they were unable to service my vehicle as a courtesy; nope nothing at all. I was told they would start it immediately, I come back 30min later, still nobody is even next to my vehicle. The hood hasnt even been opened, my vehicle hasn't been touched. DO NOT GET YOUR BRAKES DONE HERE!! I give this place 3 stars based on friendly customer service. I had tires put on my Dodge Challenger at this vacaville location and was happy with everything. At the time they sold me on a lifetime alignment plan for the car. Now at that point I figured I'd get my oil changes there as well so they would check my alignment each time as well. Again, no complaints. Then my breaks wore down and I figured with the service I had received from this shop I would have them do my brakes now. According to them they cut my back rotors and put on new pads. The front rotors and pads were replaced brand new. After they did this work my car would not stop squealing as I drove. I waited a week or two hoping eventually the noise would go away. When it did not go away I took the car back in. They kept the car overnight amd only roughed up the pads hoping to stop the noise. I got the car back and drove out of town for work. 10 miles later and the car squealed like crazy. Again I took the car back in and this time they claim to have cut the rotors. I got the car back again amd made it down the street only for it to start squealing again. If you look at the rotors you can see the circle marks from the grinding wheel they used to grind down the rotors. Basically taking the easy way out hoping it would stop or that I would be too dumb to notice AT THIS POINT I AM DONE WITH THIS PLACE. I SPEMT PLENTY OF MONEY THERE AND AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL. AFTER 2 TIMES OF TAKING IT BACK TO THEM I AM NOT WASTING MY TIME ANY LONGER! Do not have this place do your brakes! read more

I would like to say after going here to get my 07 Ford F-150 165,000 miles worked on. $1500 approximate bill. I had been noticing a hesitation due to a failed coil / spark plug issue which I have found out is normal for this truck & year. They replace one spark plug. Which was the one that were failing. The very next week other coils were starting to fail and I took it back they told me to leave it for the day so I did. The end of that day they said they couldn't find a code or couldn't see any issue. They also told me they would not road test it with me there and the service guy at the counter started to argue with my wife so I took the truck to SK Auto and they told me with a free inspection that sure enough all the other coils and plugs were causing issues . This should have been done by firestone when they started the work. I feel that fire stone refused or disregarded me and my wife's concerns and gave us poor work and service. I paid SK Auto in Natomas and for 650 to fix this issue I am back on the road. Avoid this place for work other than an oil change 3 day with no truck and back and forth argue they won't get anymore of our money! My husband and I went with my daughter to get her car wheel alignment due to the steering wheel being slightly off a few degrees. We paid $199.00 dollars for the lifetime wheel alignment. When we left and drove the car, the steering wheel was still off. We drove back and they said it slipped somehow, which was a lie. They fixed it but I am not going back because they are very inconsistent. Their service is hit or miss. Save the drama and go somewhere else. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. Went in today to get a routine oil change and spoke to a nice man in the reception area. He checked my car and then told me that the oil change will be $19.99, which is probably one of the cheapest oil changes in town. I walked away happy with the first impression. I went about my day with my boyfriend and finally got a call from someone at the shop. He was very rude and short with me. He called and after I said "Hello" he said "Come get it", referring to my car. It was extremely unprofessional and caught me off guard because I had spoken to a very nice man earlier that day. When I went in to pick up my car, the man that checked me out barely looked at me and barely said a word. He just pointed to where I should sign and slide my card. I'm disappointed with the attitudes of the employee I had my last encounter with and I think that Firestone should consider hiring a professional to do the clerical work. read more

The manager, German, was so helpful and honest which we really appreciated having just had the experience we did. German will tell you what he would do were it his vehicle, and had the mechanics explain what things would need to be done to our truck and why. Don't bother planning out a timeline of completion because even if you set an appointment and show up early, you'll be out an hour or 2 after the original set deadline. The only thing that saves this place is the one worker who is personable. Everyone else seems to drag their feet. My last visit consisted of 4 wheel installs. I showed up at 940 for a 10am appt. car wasn't on the lift until an hour after. At 1200 I had some hope seeing all 4 tires installed....and then I see the mechanic start to take them apart again because he forgot to seal the tpms (tire pressure sensors) on the new wheels. Like I said, if you have all day to spend and just love watching cnn and drinking stale coffee, this is the place. If you do come here, you might as well get comfortable. read more

In August of 2012, my car failed to start, and I had to have it towed to Firestone in San Mateo (Store #12688). It was a fuel pump problem, and they did a crappy job. (See my review for them for details). As a result, I was sent down a long road of car problems. Over next 12 months, my car would intermittently fail to start, or the engine would cut out in the middle of driving. It was anytime, anywhere - on the highway on the way to Tahoe, in a parking lot while trying to park, at home. I probably had my car towed at least 6 or 7 times to the local shop, to the Kia dealership in Davis, and to Firestone in Vacaville (Store # 23175). We kept trying to get it to Firestone, because we knew we had a warranty. The Vacaville Firestone continually strung us along, which I suspect was because the warranty was about to run out - and then magically, they'd suddenly find the problem, necessitating another $800 job. Zack was slightly helpful the first time we went, actually remembering my problem from a few months ago. But a month later, he did not remember us at all. Not that big of a deal, you can't expect them to remember every car. When I mentioned that I'd been in before and he had claimed to remember us, his immediate reaction was to deny any kind of memory or responsibility because he wasn't there that day I had dropped the car off. Oookay. Chill out for a moment and just listen to what I have to say about my car! The last time I was foolish enough to deal with this place was when the manager, Dave, called me regarding the car and left a voicemail asking me to call back. When I called back, German Franco answered the phone (I remember his name very specifically). When I asked to speak to Dave, German wanted to know why. Because he left me a voicemail. Apparently that wasn't good enough for German, who then suspiciously asked, "What did Dave say?" Excuse me?? None of your frickin' business, buddy!! I sharply responded that Dave asked me to call him back, and German handed the phone over. Unbe-freaking-lievable. Vacaville Firestone kept my car for 2 days and charged me $125 for finding absolutely nothing, despite the problem being of Firestone origin. The bearded mechanic claimed he'd checked the car all over and please let him know if we ever figured out what was wrong. It turns out that what was wrong was what we had been telling them was wrong all along. The car broke down for the last time while we were on Highway 680, trying to move from Davis back to the Bay Area. We had it towed once again, this time to the Fremont Firestone (#12823). Little did we know that this was actually the best thing that could have happened. (See my review for them.) We explained the whole situation to the manager, Scott, who immediately noted that Vacaville ripped us off and promised to check the car out for free, even though the warranty had expired by this time. The next day, Fremont called, and lo and behold -- it was a faulty fuel pump, which they then replaced for FREE, because it was a Firestone screw up. So if you can, head down to Fremont where they actually care. read more

I would never take my car to any other car service place. Firestone always takes care of me and my car. I can usually take it in on my lunch break for an oil change and have it done within an hour. I always trust that any extra services recommended to me are worth taking care of. My car will only last as long as I am willing to take care of it and I know that the managers/employees at Firestone are doing their best to make sure I'm getting the most out of my car. I recommend them to anyone and will continue doing so! read more

At 8:15AM I scheduled an appointment for 11:00AM that same day for an oil change that I needed before hitting the road for the weekend only to receive a call at 10:00 which said don't bother coming in since we will be working on higher paying jobs and won't be able to keep your appointment. Have a life time alignment made a appointment for 3pm (waiting for it) because that was the earliest one, Came in a 2:50 seen a car that was dropped off going on the alignment rack at 2:55 which doesn't make sense to me appointments should be priority. Brought it up to the customer service advisor/manager Terrell and they said oh don't worry your next. Well I should be on there first not to mention the tech just started it (the car that got dropped off no customer waiting for it) left it there and went to work on something else while my car is still waiting to be brought in. This place is terrible I recently took my wife's car in for basic oil change due to last min trip.. month later oil light comes on so we take Toyota Vallejo (BEST DEALERSHIP AROUND) They didn't know how to properly install a oil filter on a 2016 Camry broke the threads so jammed it in.. Prior arriving Toyota Vallejo vehicle had one quart oil motor had be completely cleaned underneath and on top.. Luckily T,V saw our receipt and issues GM Noel Ruiz decided to completely pay for everything to be fixed.. This place is trash overpriced rushed scamming work.. Becareful who you choose when in a hurry he could bite you in the end.. Josh was so helpful, him and his crew removed the nail, patched my tire, set all my tires to the correct pressure, showed me the nail, and informed me of a suggested service. All this within 1 hour. I was told they don't accept cards any longer so I was in a pickle so my wife yelled telling him they were keeping our car hostage. We both had to borrow our son's car to go back to this garage and settle up for $27.00. Basically Subaru told us the car was not fixable due to the timing belt had jumped a gear injuring the engine. The Firestone manager had lied telling us it could be fixed for $1300.00. I was taken advantage of and good thing my wife wanted no part of touching our car. I would had paid the bill knowing Firestone could never fix it. I felt angry knowing if I did pay them and car was unfixable I would be out of the money plus our car. Worst service ever. Bought four tires for Toyota Tundra. During installation they damaged rim. Told me their machine could not balance my factory rims with the new tires. Told me to go across street and have tire balanced and they would pay. Went back five Mondays in a row to get new rim they ordered. Manager was rude and unprofessional.
