    They drained my oil on drop off for my lifetime alignment. My oil % is 70% prior to arrival. And now my oil is dangerously low after i left

    Be wary of this firestone business practice. If you do a drop off they can drain your oil, fluids or even drain your battery. And recommend you to have it all done unnecessary. I was there for a lifetime alignment and my oil was drained with 1qt left. They did a "courtesy service check" which is there normal tactic to touch your car and find ways to make unnecessary repairs. My car only had less than a few hundred miles until it was oil changed. So it was almost impossible to have it that low. My oil % was at 70% at the time. Then i see the how they would charge me for the oil which was not factory recommended. They refused to finish my alignment even though it was the service i paid. The workers involved were danny, jose, ray, lino (technician), joseph (manager). Joseph got defensive when asked where would the oil have leaked too. My car has no leaks and was recently serviced at honda. They wanted to charge me for an engine air filter. I have an aftermarket intake? that they wont be able to change at all...So why charge me or even qoute me. Or even bring it up? Fraudulently charged again. They were going to charged me for cabin filter also. That was already replaced by honda 1k miles ago? They clearly didnt check. Fraudulently charged again. I advise for you to stay and watch how they work on your cars. Multiple complaints occur from this shop. Report has already been established with BBB and Firestone corporate. The business model needs to change in this location and it starts with leadership. If Joseph had a honest business practice the shop will have a better reputation.

    This place stinks, with an appointment once onsite I was told it would take 2-3 hours because there backed up, the place was empty. Avoid this place all cost. Follow up to LEE S. the owner whose only recourse is asking the customer to email the complaint, none of which includes a follow up by the ownership: Customer: I've been in contact with them all day long with the complaint, I see this is your stock answer to complaints, as an owner what action will you take? Nothing, I ended up going to La Habra and they completed the alignment in 45 minutes. This location continues to provide poor service.

    PRO-TIP: Go online and make an appointment! Due to being fisted by normie life, unless I get a break, I can only get my car looked at on weekends and boy do they get busy on weekends! I had an appointment for a really early timeslot, 8 AM (which is when they open I believe) and there was already a line of people behind me from the service counter to the door. I don't think there is ever the possibility of having your car looked at and it not costing a pretty penny. But there is a difference between that and a business obviously scamming you *cough* Puente Hills Nissan Dealership *cough*. Firestone lets you know what's up with your car (I literally put the reason of the appointment - unsure and just described the issue), let's you know what repairs are necessary for safety, and what other repairs are optional but can be done at a later time. Many of the issues that I've had for months were remedied fairly quickly in the couple hours that I have left my car here and my car was ready for the road immediately after. If I can drag my car all the way to my car guy in SGV, this is the next best option.

    Don't get your alignment done here! We need reimbursement!! My boyfriend took his car in to get an alignment and oil change. We arrived at 10 am. Staff was friendly and courteous and the oil change was done perfectly. Everything took about 2 hours overall. Not bad until we pulled off and made a right turn, we noticed the DBC malfunction light came on and the car was consistently veering to the right. My boyfriend got another alignment two days later at a Firestone location in Los Angeles. The mechanic explained the report he gave us which showed how bad the alignment was done prior which made his job even more difficult and made our service wait time much longer than necessary all so he could make both the wheel and the tires drive straight again. We will never be taking our car back to the Walnut location for an alignment in the future! The LA Firestone mechanic even asked if we had been in an accident because of how bad it was, he could barely get the tire back on on the driver's side! Due to the improper alignment, damage was done to the roters, brakes and suspension. We ARE expecting reimbursement for these damages!

    Our family's Ford Explorer required a water pump replacement…read more I visited several local auto shops to obtain quotes and was shocked, disappointed, and discouraged at the prices I was being quoted for the work my vehicle required ($5,000-$7,500) Shame on me for not reading Yelp reviews before wasting my time visiting other auto shops. I read the many positive reviews for Hye-Tech Auto Repair and decided to visit them. Upon entering, I was greeted by John (owner) with a friendly, "Welcome, how may I help you?" I explained that my Ford Explorer needed a new water pump and a few other items that other auto shops had advised me would require repair or replacement. While John looked up a few items on the computer to provide me with a quote, he introduced me to his son, Harry, who happened to be in the office. Thirty seconds later, John provided a quote that was $3,500-$4,000 less than the other shops. I could not believe it. John explained that he makes his living and succeeds in his business through repeat customers, and he does not believe in gouging customers for every last penny. He also shared that when he retires, his son Harry will take over the business, and he wants to leave Harry with a solid foundation of loyal repeat customers. It was then that I knew I could trust John and his son Harry. John went on to explain that replacing the water pump on a Ford Explorer was a 10-12 hour job, as it was an internal pump requiring numerous engine parts to be removed to reach it. This was the same thing all the other shops advised me. John suggested that I leave my vehicle, and he would perform a full inspection of the engine and contact me before doing anything to it. I agreed and left my vehicle. The following day, I was contacted by John, who advised me that the water pump did indeed need to be replaced, as it was the source of the constant leaks of the water coolant. I left my vehicle in John's shop for three days. During this time, John or his son, Harry, contacted me numerous times to keep me updated on the progress of my vehicle and also to point out that mechanics had discovered two or three very inexpensive items (under $50.00) which they recommended replacing, which I agreed to have done. All in all, I was and am extremely impressed and satisfied with everything about this shop. I spent much less money to have five different issues repaired on my vehicle at Hye-Tech than what I was quoted to replace my water pump alone by every single shop I visited prior to coming to Hye-Tech. John and Harry are very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer GREAT customer service and communication. This is my new go-to shop for any issues involving our family vehicles. Thank you, Hye-Tech Auto Repair, for a very positive experience.

    I opened a Yelp project to try to get my transmission serviced. The dealership wanted to charge me…read more$1300 for this service. Yelp projects are one of the best things I've ever experienced. It's nice to see you can get quotes at the touch of a button on your phone. This morning, I had time off, so I headed in to get my service done. I did not have an appointment and that did not seem to matter. I arrived first thing in the morning at 8 AM and ask if the service could be done. Harry was an exceptional young man, he took me in with no problems, no questions. He said they could do it this morning. I told him I would have to wait. He had no problem with that either. Prior to bring in the car in this morning, as I said, I used a yelp project and had several people reach out and give me quotes. After looking at all the yelp reviews I decided to give this place a try. I am super happy that I did. This place is a hidden gem, excellence, service, quality, and value for what you receive. There are not very many shops where you could feel comfortable and put your trust in them. As I spent time in the lobby, I was able to see customer service on the phone and customer service entering the facility. Every customer that walked in, seem satisfied and was treated with dignity and respect. I highly recommend this place if you have any automotive questions whatsoever.

    2018 WRX "UPDATE"... After the leaking issues on the motor rebuild…read more I brought the car back. Martin went above and beyond to fix multiple leaks that came about from the rebuild. I trusted Martin to fix everything and make things right. Martin will do whatever it takes to make this right and have a satisfied customer. I had to have patience and it paid off! The car feels and drives like how it used too! Martin's character to makes things right is why people should come to his shop. He will help out to the best of his abilities to make the customers satisfied. Thank you Martin!!

    5 Stars - TMC Auto Repair in Diamond Bar (aka the place that actually gives a damn)…read more Let me paint you a quick "before and after" picture so funny it hurts: Scene 1: Midas in Diamond Bar, 3:50 PM I roll up with a driver's window that's basically on permanent vacation (stuck halfway like it's trying to ghost me). The guy behind the counter doesn't even glance at the car. Doesn't ask a question. Just grunts, "Yeah, it's the motor." Me: "Cool, wanna pop the door panel and confirm? I'll pay for the diag, takes 10-15 minutes tops." Him: refuses to move, refuses to look, basically treats me like I'm trying to sell him oceanfront property in Arizona. I left wondering if "customer service" is now Latin for "get lost." Scene 2: TMC Auto Repair (literally two minutes away, same day) I used to go to this shop years ago when it had a different name. Now it's TMC and let me tell you -- it should be called TLC because that's exactly what they give you. Walked in frustrated and Martin greeted me like a human being who mattered. He listened to my Midas horror story, laughed with me (not at me), and said, "Let's actually look at it." One of his techs pulled the door panel in like 8 minutes and... drumroll... the motor was bad and there was a broken plastic piece in the regulator (exactly what I told Midas Guy, who apparently moonlights as a psychic but forgot to charge his crystal ball). They got the window temporarily working until the new part arrives, didn't overcharge me, and treated me like I've been their customer for a decade (because I basically have). Moral of the story: Midas Diamond Bar just lost a customer for life in under five minutes. TMC gained a customer for life in under five minutes. Martin and his crew are professional, honest, fast, and actually enjoy fixing cars instead of playing "guess the problem from the lobby." If you're anywhere near Diamond Bar/Walnut area and need work done by people who treat you like family (the good kind, not the dysfunctional Thanksgiving kind), go see these guys. 10/10, will be back the second that part shows up -- and for every oil change, brake job, and random rattle from now until my car retires. I've been going here for a couple years now and I've got nothing but great things to say about Jose. I can't say enough good things about Fairway Auto Tech. Jose is one of those rare shop owners who's honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely looks out for his customers. I brought my car in for front brakes and an oil change, and the entire experience was smooth from start to finish. Jose clearly explained what my car needed (and what it didn't need), gave me a fair estimate upfront, and stuck to it -- no surprises, no pressure, no upselling. The pricing was very reasonable, especially compared to dealers and chain shops. The work was done professionally and efficiently, and my car drives perfectly. You can tell Jose takes pride in his work and runs his shop with integrity. It's refreshing to find an auto shop where you actually feel comfortable and trust the person working on your car. If you're looking for an honest mechanic who does quality work at fair prices, this is the place. I've been with Jose a couple years now to see if he would try to shady me later on, but still honest works hard is thoroughly explains everything.
