Ok So, today the Manager called me to get more information about why I gave a bad review on yelp. I told him that I was not satisfied with the wait time for a minor problem. He said that well he was sorry but that they try. So, I told him I was going to try to find out who owned the Franchise and let them know how the customers are really being treated, because the wait was just not acceptable. Then he tells me the owner is Firestone and he is the manager and that I WAS A TROUBLE MAKER BECAUSE I CREATED A ROCUS WITH THE OTHER CUSTOMERS!!! The crazy thing is that I wanted to!!! but, I did not even say ONE word to any of the management. The other customers, were also waiting since 2 pm that is not my fault, they were also unhappy!!! So, Mr. Manager, now I will create a Rocus!!! ....... This is what I overheard.... They had to go to Pacoima to get the tires for another customer, because they did not have what the customer wanted in stock. They had to get the tires for another customer but 3 were one size one was another so, they had to wait to get the correct one. The manager made a bet with the owner , something having to do with the store being open and no customers, but what ever the bet was he watched the football game and he won the bet and made the owner pay up! I rate this business with zero stars. I had come here to purchase two new tires and wanted the cheapest tires they had. The employee said we only have these two tires in stock for your car and they were expensive. I noticed on the monitor that their were 2 in stock at a cheaper price and pointed it out to him. He said oh ya you're right, my bad and sold them to me. Every time I come here. They are always trying to sell me extra services I don't need on my 2014 Accord. Also, the several times I've been here. They took a few hours and many times their mechanics are just standing around or at lunch. No sense of urgency or consideration for customers waiting in the lobby area. With that said, I'll be closing my CFNA credit card account, not coming back here and highly recommend everyone not to come here. I'm not giving a complete five star only because I received work here in an emergency . They were 20 minutes to closing and my car was overheating. They did the best they could in the time they had. They topped everything off for me complimentary due to the fact I had to drive my car from there back to Burbank. While I was there I received an oil change. Robert the sales associate was very polite and told me they did the best they could with the time they had. He also told me that they don't recommend me to drive the car. That if I have to drive, I should drive slow. They close at 6 and I was out of there at 6:30. Thanks again Robert for taking my car in and to the men that worked on it. I took my car in for 4 new tires and balancing, when it came out there was about $200 worth of stuff missing from my car including a very expensive pair of sunglasses. The manager offered to replace them on production of a receipt, but who keeps receipts for something like that? Been coming here for about two years now. I am a driver for both Uber and Lyft and my car takes a beating. These guys are the best around. They hang out past closing if they have to and never complain. They seriously treat you like family. Today, there was a nail in my tire. I assumed it was a simple tire check.. and they found the nail. If I could give them Zero stars I would. My friend and I showed up at about noon. She wanted a diagnostic run on her 4 runner again because she had gone to Firestone (different locations) two times before in less than a two week period. They ran diagnostics previously because she kept having her check engine light go on. First time they said it was the spark plugs and she had that done but after that the light came back on but now the engine was shaking like crazy unless she was driving fast. Problem is that when she returned the second time for another diagnostic, they said it was a misfire in her first cylinder. They wanted to charge her over 500 dollars to replace one of the engine cylinder coils. She ended up buying the parts and getting it done for about 150. The engine light came on again within the next day or so. This is where our gem of a story begins. We went to the West Covina location in hopes that they could shed light on why, if they said it was a cylinder misfire, would replacing the part not solve the problem? First the technician blamed it on the mechanic replacing the part and his condescending tone like we didn't know anything of what we were talking about didn't help things. Knowing the mechanic and his work, this is highly unlikely. We had them do a diagnostic again, mind you we arrived at a little after noon with maybe one or two people ahead of us and there was more than one technician in the docks. It took them over 5 HOURS, the first hour of which we sat in the room and then left for the mall that we walked more than twice, to run another diagnostic (which turned up clean) and a compression test. When they called to inform us of the results they said they wanted to take the engine apart to further investigate what the problem is (for $100). We said no so he had to go tell the guys who were already taking it apart to stop. Then that it was another misfire in cylinder one. This didn't add up. Why would they need to take it apart if they knew it was another misfire (which it couldn't be because we just replaced it with a new part)? Just sounded like they didn't know anything of what the actual problem was and they were just trying to make some money for the day and rack ups bill. Needless to say after looking over the receipt we can see why it took so long. They also checked the car for any other little repair cosmetic or otherwise that they could possibly do instead of what we brought it there to do. Keep away. They may be 'mechanics' but they are just another chain trying to make quota because loosing a customer here or there, won't hurt them like it would a family owned business who actually has to do a decent job or no one will come back. Well Firestone, can now be sure that this is another unsatisfied customer that will not be back. You guys are just as bad as Jiffy Lube, you just haven't been caught yet. read more

Beware of this Firestone facility. I phoned on Jan 21 to get an appointment for wheel alignment. On Jan 22 I had a 3 p.m. appointment. When I got there for 3 p.m. appointment Simon said I would have to wait 1 1/2 hrs. Okay so I did. They were selling tires to other people who were there before me. When they started taking people who came after me I complained so the they did the alignment. Before this nothing was leaking on my car. After this the next morning something was leaking under my car. I took my car to my mechanic and something was unscrewed from my AC. Probably thought I'd come back for repairs. I had a lifetime warranty for alignment. I would never recommend this place to anyone and will never be back there. read more

Took my car for a starting issue, ac repair and overheating last saturday and i was asked to leave my car for diagnostic. Took them a day and a half to have it diagnosed and was a bit upset coz it took them awhile to finally diagnosed my car. Kelvin was able to explain why we waited long time and i think its reasonable. They also give us option to buy parts elswhere if we think we know a more cheaper place to buy it and they will just charge us with a labor fee which i really appreciate alot. i think all the wait is worth it !!!! Finally after 4 years of having those issues wher i took my car to a variety of autoshops and were not able to tell whats the main problem causing all those issues. Finally this firestone solved all my problems!!!! Only in west covina firestone solved it. Ming the technician guy is very good and nice to customers also look for kelvin and brandon who did a great job for explaining all my car problems. I will definitely recommend this firestone they are awesome!!! A bit pricy but overall its worth it. I will definitely come back at this shop again for i know they took good care of my car. Thanks to ming the technician asian guy he really knows about cars. I just hope they can improve their customer waiting time so i can give them. 5 stars. First time in...I came in for a set of tires... Called and Bryce checked stock and was able to acquire my tires from another location and set me up with an appointment for the next day... Upon arrival I was immediately checked in by Robert...I asked for an estimated time of completion (11:30 AM - right before lunch) and was quoted with 90 minutes... I left to get lunch and run some errands...both Robert and Bryce called me when my vehicle was ready...just about 90 minutes later! Came in and Bryce explained my charges and we chatted about the area and a few other things and that was that! Great customer service especially if you consider the horrible customer service (or lack there of) I got from the Starbucks down the street during this time window! read more

Had a convenient (if it's ever possible) dead battery while I was at the starbucks half a block away with my 1.5 year old Interstate battery purchased from Wheel Works. While Wheel Works is a NorCal chain, it's part of the Firestone enterprise and I was able to get my battery checked with warranty. Store has very flexible hours - opens till 8pm, which was important since I didn't get out of work until 6:30pm. The store was conveniently located in a mall and has free WiFi and coffee for the wait; both of which I didn't get to enjoy as Jacob was able to diagnose the dead battery and replace it within 10 min of my time there. read more

I had a very pleasant experience with their store manager, Jesse Heredia, after I had a horrible experience at their Upland store. We purchased a set of tires from Firestone a couple years ago with the extended warranty and lifetime alignment. We were having an issue with one of her tires so I went to the Upland store on 4-3-19 since I was in the area. The rep, who wasn't the store manager, pulled up my account and I'm sure he saw all the tires we have purchased from them... at least 5 set of tires and numerous oil changes in the last 10 years. The rep was quick to sell me a tire without examining our tire or acknowledging our warranty... he offered full price and no deal. I figured as a longtime customer, I would get a little deal. I walked out upset. Im sure if I dealt with the store manager, who was helping another customer, I would have had better service. The next day I went to the West Covina store since that is where I regularly go. Jesse took the time to look at our tire and determined the issue was covered under warranty so I was able to save some bucks (isn't that why we buy the warranty in the first place???). To make things better, Jesse replaced the tire within a reasonable amount of time. I'm so glad I followed my gut and went to West Covina. I know this review sounds more like a complaint than a positive review. While I was waiting though, I saw Jesse help other customers with the same service and professionalism. read more

Brought my car here for a simple oil change, after the car being there for 7 operational business hours, they still hadn't had it done! It's incredible, I'm told they didn't have the appropriate filter on hand so they had to go get it, but that's exactly why I had dropped the car off the day prior so that these type of things are taken care of. I had been driving my truck with a shimmy and shake in the front end at 60-70 mphs. I had a front end alignment, tie rods replaced, and shocks replaced a few months ago. It still was doing the shake. Came here because my tire pressure light wouldn't turn off and was helped immediately walking through the door! Bryce, you're customer service is so awesome!! I hit a curb and dented my rim so it wouldn't hold a seal. Called a few tire ships to ask if they did rim repair and they all just said they send them out but wouldn't tell me where they sent them. I called Firestone, told Jody my situation, and she said they didn't repair rims in-house but to hold on and she would find her mechanic and get a recommendation. A minute later the mechanic got on the line and suggested Tucker Tire, told me who to ask for and to let them know Firestone had sent me there and to call him back if it didn't work out and he would find more reputable shops. A totally professional, helpful staff that happily helped me solve my problem even when I wasn't having any work done there. I'm impressed and will definitely be bringing my car there the next time I need service. read more

I've been coming to this Firestone for a while now. The not too long ago change in management was a major improvement. Mike is the mgr and he takes excellent care of my concerns and needs for my car. I usually ask for Jason to work on my car. Both Mike and Jason are honest, both of them know what they are doing, they both go out of their way to get my car repairs done, and they are very friendly & courteous. I'm very comfortable leaving my car with them. I know that my car is in good hands all the time. It's nice when I walk in and I'm greeted with a nice friendly hello. Jacob is also very efficient and very friendly as well. I've been to Brea, and Montclair Firestone stores. Brea was the worst, Montclair was pretty good, but since Mike has become manager of the West Covina store, having my car serviced there always runs pretty smooth! They even offer me a rental if they have to keep my car overnight! I don't have to pay for the rental either! To me, that's what I call excellent customer service! So if you want great customer service, a good manager that runs the store, and hard working knowledgable mechanics, take your car to Firestone Complete Auto Care in West Covina California! Two stars. Disappointed. Dropped over $500 on four new tires in 2014 and had a decent exchange with them. Now I have a flat and called to ask for repair advice. "Jim" was clearly uninterested in my situation, seemed overwhelmed with computer problems, made it clear i had not purchased the additional warranty and offered no other alternatives. Poor service, Jim. The conversation you have twenty times a day might better have gone, "Sorry, Mr Customer you did not pay for the additional service. However, come in, and we will pull the nail and repair it for $X. Ask for Jim." Just saying you did not pay for the additional warranty closed the deal with zero benefit, to me or fstone. Maybe I should go over and apply for your job :) Man, I would love to be working and it saddens me to see employees treat customers like a burden. I needed this to get done. Disappointed. I will take my future business to a local family shop that understands serving the customer equals repeat business, which equals positive referrals which equals staying in business. I went there for a lifetime alignment, tire rotation and balance. I told them that I was experiencing a shaking problem on the back of the car. I waited 2 hours and the car just sat on the lot. They told me that it would take 1 more hour and when I got it back, the problem wasn't resolved. After checking the tires myself, I discovered that there was a bad tire on the back. They didn't spend the time to check out the tires. read more
