Buyer beware!!!! Do not buy wood from this place. I ordered a full cord of oak with NO limbs, spilt wood only which of course costs more money. Not only did I receive over 70 pieces of limbs, I didn't even get a full cord of wood! The wood was delivered at 8:30pm, it was dark and since I had specifically asked him if the cord would be all split and he responded yes, I didn't think to check. After the shipment of wood was dropped off, I went out to take another look and I realized the cord included limbs. I called right away. He told me that there was nothing that they could do and the manager would be in on Monday. I have called and left messages 3 times a day for 3 days, emails and text messages as well to rectify this problem. I have yet to receive any response from anyone at this company. Unfortunately I paid cash, my fault. A simple phone call back probably would have made everyone happy. I will definitely never use these guys again! read more

Ordered a half cord of Eucalyptus, which, considering it was New Years, was delivered pretty quickly on Jan 8, a day early, after Kyle called to set it up. The logs are well-seasoned (you can tell, when they sound like bells when they drop off the trailer), consistent in lengths and splits, with no small branches. Ordered a cord of oak. A couple of delays on Kyle's end due to a trailer issue, not a big deal. Great communications and effort to deliver the wood. After dumping in driveway, I asked for a receipt and was told he would email me one. I stacked the cord and it measured out to 108 cubic feet. Multiple calls, texts, and emails. No response. No receipt. Purchase from these guys if you do not care about actually receiving the quantity of wood you paid for. This shortage equals about $80. read more

Great company... great price! They cut it, split it , deliver and stack it and can't be easier. Nice oak , good mix of sizes, generous 1/2 cord too. All the wood was cut to where it will fit my fireplace, nice and dry/ seasoned, all oak. They accommodated my schedule and my wanting to beat the rain that's on it's way tomorrow!... Ordered a half cord of mixed hardwood/softwood, was a decent mix. Some of the wood was eucalyptus which I'm fine with but I know some people don't like it so make sure you specify if it's something you care about. The wood is all well-seasoned and was pre-split to a good size for the fireplace. I split some of it into smaller pieces for kindling. Kyle came early and was very courteous. He stacked the wood very well exactly where I asked him to. He did have to use our landscape bin to move the wood from his trailer, so if you're having him go a distance with it make sure your bin is empty before he gets there. I will definitely order from Kyle again, it beats obtaining a forest product permit and getting it yourself by a long shot. read more

I had never bought firewood in large quantities before, I'd only bought the store bought bundles from grocery stores and such and he explained the cord sizes and prices and all that to me and i wasn't sure how much i needed so i put an order for 1/4 cord mixed for my first order and it's exactly what i needed and will probably last me a good while. For an extra $25 they were even kind enough to stack the wood for me and unload the truck. Kyle even swept up my driveway before he left so that there wasn't any dirt or wood pieces anywhere. I just returned from Sycamore cyn. campsite on Hwy 1 and I needed firewood. The Firewood Guys were awesome and super spot on. BUYER BEWARE!! I'm not sure why everybody thinks this guy is so good! I'm a first time customer and maybe he thought I was to dumb to realize that the wood he brought was GREEN!!! I specifically ordered 18" pieces because my fireplace is small and I take a lot of it camping. I received pieces anywhere from 16" to 26". After two days of texting him, NO response. Maybe he rest's his laurels on existing customers and doesn't need or care about new customers. This is the second time I've received green wood from two different companies. I guess there are no reputable firewood companies in Ventura county. Well, my wife and I are looking forward to a nice fire this winter.
