My husband and I wanted to give our backyard a new look because most of our plants look so sad during the winter and the garden started looking chaotic. We looked at multiple landscape artists, and they all seemed knowledgeable yet we couldn't find anyone with designs that we liked. BSH portfolio looked great so we decided to have a consultation. Bruno and John came over to our place and carefully listened to what my husband and I wanted. Bruno quickly came up with design ideas for our backyard. He conveyed his vision clearly, we were able to see our new garden in our head. Bruno and John are very easy to talk to and they are the nicest! Although we were able to only do certain section of our backyard for now due to our budget, he still went over rest of the areas and shared his design ideas which gave us some new ideas. The workers started after about a week, and finished the job well, on time. They even cleaned our mossy fountain, and watered all our pots while we're at work. Bruno and John visited multiple times afterward to ensure everything was growing and working as expected. We bought a new house with dirt-filled yards at the top of the mountain with a 270-degree view in Santa Clarita Valley and wanted to do landscaping and hardscaping so that we could fully enjoy the views with family and friends. I went through Yelp to find the best landscapers and hardscapes in Santa Clarita and came across "BSH Landscape & Hardscape Design and Construction." We looked through their website and fell in love with the pictures of the amazing landscapes and hardscapes the company had done. I couldn't get my eyes away from one picture in particular which displayed 4 large olive trees and a water fountain. I wanted to get the same appearance in my front yard, so I called BSH and the next day Bruno gave me a telephone call to discuss our requirements briefly. He then quickly arranged a meeting with my family at the site. Bruno and his son, John Pierre, came to my home on time and discussed A-Z about our requirements and gave us a basic design idea and rough cost. The project includes front, side and back yard landscaping, pool with jacuzzi, hardscaping like paving, BBQ island, bar, water fountain and fireplace, patio cover and replacing a sliding door with a folding door. Even though BSH only handles landscaping and hardscaping, Bruno and John Pierre told me they would get good subcontractors and take care of the entire project. In a couple of days, Bruno gave me a price and explained the design concept. We all were thrilled with his design idea. However, I wanted to get a couple more quotes and compare the prices, so I called 2 more competitive companies and had the same procedure. They both gave me their quotes. One was close to the BSH price. The other landscaper gave me a quote that included everything I wanted, but it was much cheaper when compared to the BSH quote. So I decided to go with them. Before making my final decision, I wanted to see a couple of projects they had done. I visited a few of their sites and he said he would do the similar plants and hardscaping at my place. The picture in my head was to have 15 feet Olive trees in the front yard, but the olive trees he showed me were about 4-5 feet tall. All his landscaping and hardscaping did not make me happy. It was not the picture in my mind. I realized why his price was low. Then, John Pierre sent me an e-mail with a detailed description of the complete project. It makes me more confident. I got to know what I would get for the money I would spend. They told me I was expecting high-end landscaping and hardscaping and they planned and priced accordingly. They offered me a plan that was less money, but I did not want to go with it since I did not want to forget about my dream yard. Finally, we decided to move forward with BSH. They prepared the plans and got all the approvals from HOA, City, Fire department, etc. His crew is amazing. Bruno and John visited the site almost every day and supervised the work. He found excellent sub-contractors for the pool and patio cover. At the end of each day, the crew cleaned the site nicely. Within 5 months they turned my dirt yard into the one shown in attached pictures. I don't have to and I can't explain the outcome...you can see it in the pictures. I am so glad I found BSH....... If you are looking to do any hardscape/landscaping work look no further-these guys are the best. The artists/craftsmen of BSH, Bruno, his son John Pierr and others have the uncanny ability to visualize, design, and create art out of their surroundings. They recently built us an outdoor kitchen that is truly magnificent. Bruno suggested a particular stone for the countertops and it is perfect! Not only did they perform the project in a timely fashion, dealing with them was a true pleasure. They were very good at answering all of my calls/emails promptly. (Not easy to say when dealing with contractors) This was no small outdoor kitchen, over 30 linear feet of counter built-3 BBQS, 2 refrigerators, sink, beverage center, multiple storage drawers cabinets etc. They had to consider many variables to make this project work. Before deciding to choose BSH I met with 3 other contractors for this project--no one else was able to confidently come up with a design and able to answer all of my concerns. Bruno and John provided us with a theme, a vision to what the potential of our backyard is. Little things like changing the design to give a larger walkway between the BBQ and the pool, to suggesting an appropriate location to install a light post are things that I greatly appreciated. Most contractors I've dealt with in the past want to get the job, get in and get out and move on. With everyone at BSH I could tell they take great pride in what they do and really care about their customers satisfaction. Once we save some more $$ we will be asking them to do the landscape design for our backyard as well. BSH is synonymous with uncompromising quality and care for your needs. We were looking for a company that would make our front and backyard landscaping have that "wow fairy tale setting" when people saw it. We found BSH Landscape and they really impressed us from day 1 to the end of the project and beyond. We met with Bruno and his son Jon. They spent time listening to our ideas and showed us pictures of all their beautiful work. We made a plan together on what we were looking for. Our backyard needed to be spruced up a bit. Well, actually, a lot. We were limited on the space since we have a pool and there used to be a built in bbq taking up much of the space. We called Bruno at BSH Landscaping and set up an appointment to have them come out to the house. Upon arrival, Bruno and John were so professional and insightful. Immediately, their professionalism and courteousness put us at ease. Bruno offered us tons of options and gave us some wonderful ideas on how to make our backyard fit our needs.
