Words cannot express how thankful my wife and I are for First Call. I was out of town and my wife made arrangements with Stanley Steamer to clean our carpet in my absence. We booked it 2 weeks in advance and had approximately 600 sq ft. that needed to be cleaned. Two days before cleaning they call and give us a 6 hour window and expressed we may get charged extra if their hoses do not fit into the apartment building/unit. The quote was $175. Ultimately, we faced a $200+ charge for the cleaning 2 rooms because they didn't sue their due diligence regarding the equipment needed for the job and inability to provide a specific appointment time. I couldn't allow to get prices gauged and had a limited budget for what I felt was a "quick and easy job". We called first take in an emergency situation and where completely astounded with customer service, price, response time and quality of service. They worked with the budget. Communicated arrival time and arrived early. They job was finished faster than expected and we weren't over charged due the equipment or inflated cost. I wish we used First Call prior to moving. I saw them highly recommended on the local FB pages and reached out with immediate response. They were able to come the day we closed on our house and our carpets needed some much needed TLC! I am so happy with the service I received today from First Call. Randy and Brenden showed up on time and instantly got to work. Randy was a superstar! It appeared that Brenden was a new guy on the team and Randy was showing him the ropes. However, both were extremely professional, courteous, and respectful of my things as they moved their equipment throughout my apartment. When they needed to unplug my stuff, or plug in their equipment, Randy always made sure he asked me first and also explained what needed to be unplugged and why. Then, Randy made sure everything was plugged back in before he left! (Very nice attention to detail!) Randy did most of the work while he taught Brenden and walked him through the process and use of the machinery. Randy was thorough in his work and patient with his trainee and I know first-hand that that takes both mastery of the job and advanced interpersonal skills, so I tip my hat to Randy! (Well Done!!) I was amazed at the speed in which they completed the work and my carpets were beautiful and bright again and the color in my designer floor rug was restored! It literally looks brand new! First off, let me say these guys showed up on time and ready to work for our dryer vent cleaning! They were professional and kept us informed throughout the entire process. About a month ago we felt the bedroom wall in our son's room and were quite surprised to feel dampness. We realized something was probably up with the chimney leaking and causing damage in the wall. After seeing the wall also had mold in the beams and frames we knew we had bad issues. After calling a couple companies to help us and were told, we're too busy to come out as well as frustrated, someone gave us First Call name. David the co-owner was at our house by the end of the day and had a plan. He gave us a quote on how he was going to clean the mold etc. He gave us names of construction companies to call to work on the framing. The chimney got fixed and then David came out with a worker, cleaned up the mold and fogged our house to prevent more mold. We were shocked to see how cleaned everything was, and more advice about about dealing with any construction companies. First Call has offered to keep in touch with us if we have any questions as this repair goes on. I needed the carpets cleaned in a vacant property we are in the process of renting. David, the owner, was very responsive, and was still doing business during quarantine. He at first offered an appointment about 6 days out, but when I asked to be contacted if something earlier opened up, he fit me in 2 days earlier. The technicians that arrived at the door were beyond polite and considerate (charming, in fact) and they were honest. I had mentioned to David that the previous owners had a cat, so there might be some staining. They wore their masks and would make sure we were not breathing any black mold spores. They moved our property from the room to a pod, and when done move it back.
