My drivers license expired recently. They ask for valid license as 1 if there required documents. Understandable so I had gone to dps renewed my license. I received a paper I'd with my picture on it to show that my license was once again valid. Also got my old I.D back to have a hard copy. Which if I needed to show anyone that it would verify that It was a legal valid document. Get to Cash store and I'm told that I need a valid ID. My response sure here is my expired ID along with my paper copy which shows that I have renewed my ID and just waiting or new one to come in the mail. To the cash store ladies that doesn't mean anything. Even though nowhere on there website does it say anything about not accepting a paper ID along with a expired hard copy. I'm told no one will take a paper ID as proof of identity. That's only for if you get pulled over. So moral of story this place is a joke. Stay way they act like they want to help but even if you fellow there guidelines they pull up garbage reasons not to. Even when you documents are verified and acceptable with state I if Texas agencies. In there world they are not.

We called over a month ago after receiving a settlement check from a bank up north, for an Amazon lawsuit. The woman we talked to then said they'd cash it once my partner had valid photo ID. He didn't have it right then because we were stuck in a three month long period of waiting for a DMV appointment to open up when I was not working and we could make it. He didn't have a valid ID prior due to a legal name change earlier this year. That date for the DMV happened to be less than two weeks ago. The paper ID was turned away everywhere we went as it wasn't considered valid, so we waited some more for the real one to come in. It arrived Tuesday of this week, during a busy at work, when I would be unable to take time away to drive down to Round Rock (we live in Jarrell) for my partner to cash this check. Today, finally, we got to the store, which we went to only after Speedy Cash had told us they couldn't do it due to the check being dated back in May (issued May 3rd, void on July 3rd). Called Ace before I headed there and was told, again, they'd cash it. Arrived and to my complete lack of surprise once more we had been openly lied to. They said it needs 10 business days to clear and they wouldn't do it with only 6 available before it expired. They could make an exception, sure, but we're not worth the risk. This was money for rent. It was money for food. That settlement check was for lost wages and it's going to expire now. We literally can't cash this check anywhere and I am very frustrated with even trying this place to begin with. I would absolutely NOT recommend them and I'll be passing this on to everyone I know. Thanks for nothing, y'all. Not surprised with the other ratings. I found it funny there were 5 star reviews stuck up on the wall inside when the service is a clear 1.
