Sorry, this is long. I had a 1/2 off coupon for an adjustment and massage. 6 months ago I popped a couple ribs out of alignment and it hurt for weeks until I saw a chiropractor 3 times. My ribs were hurting again so I made an appointment here. I was skeptical from the beginning because Chiropractors usually just want to sign you up for life. When Dr. Silverio told me about their KST treatment I was nervous. Now, I am a Christian and believe bodies DO have amazing healing capabilities that are masked by Western Medicine. I however, am also leery of Eastern religion and so I don't know how I'm supposed to feel about this. I literally prayed through the whole thing, warding off anything not from God. So, I kept expecting him to pop my rib back in, like the other place did. He did not. He had me lay down and do weird movements w/ my arms while using this device that looks like an epi pen, then 'listened to my body' as it told him which parts to use his rubber gun on. I just prayed the whole time that nothing weird was happening to me! Then I was better. I don't understand how it works, was it the weird arm movements and his epi pen thing? Was it really the listening to my body and using the rubber gun thing? I don't know, but I know I'm amazed and wanting to go back.. Plus I get a free massage w/ the coupon too?! This place will irritate the hell out of you. I got an LA.com coupon for $24 for 2 cold laser therapy sessions ($135 value). I called and left a message and heard from Dr.Silverio. When I told him I'd never tried laser therapy and wanted to see about handling a specific malady. Instead of just booking an appointment, he repeatedly hectored me about trying one laser from his acupuncturist Dr. Arias and one chiropractic from him. Finally, I said I'd let him know after I had a laser treatment. Even then he came back insistently that I go look at his website and see how he had a different type of chiropractic. I got there a little ahead of my appointment time the next Monday and the acupuncturist was late. Meanwhile, Silverio had me fill out a form and instructed me to watch a video in the waiting area about chiropractic. Arias showed up and seemed to know his stuff about acupunture points and his laser equipment, but before we even got started he suggested I do one laser treatment and one chiropractic treatment. It didn't take long but there was a problem - he had the WORST BREATH I can ever remember in a supposedly professional setting. It smelled like he'd been drinking from the toilet. And then when we were finished, he suggested that I do a series of 10 treatments. Said it usually takes that many. Didn't ask me how it felt, nothing. I guess he forgot about the do one laser, one chiro deal. So I'm out $24 for 1 instead of 2 but I wouldn't go back to this place or these people if they paid me $240. And I will NEVER buy anything from LA.com. Just ridiculous! read more

Not helpful at all. Doctor Silverio is a well-meaning doctor, but honestly the techniques he used are kind of weird - one of them was a body scan using a device by NES Health which looks like a tv remote control and is supposed to tell you all the areas in your body where there is "energy blockage". Not effective at all and the doctor himself could not explain how it works, he said it was "magic". I have cervical kyphosis and my visit here was not helpful at all. I usually prefer Thai massage but I bought a coupon on one of those 1/2 off sites for this place. While I do love the stretching part of Thai massage, I have to say that Nidia was a fantastic masseuse. She has a strong, firm touch and really worked my back with a deep tissue massage. I'm not a big chiropractic fan but Dr. Silverio showed me the newest method, which does not involve twisting and cracking you (that scares me) so if I ever have any issues that massage won't help I think I would try him. I don't know how long it will go for but he told me they are offering 1/2 price to all first time customers ($25 for massage & $45 for chiro) so please remember to tip Nidia lol. Dr. Silverio has all of the qualities you'd want in a health practitioner - he is current, informed, skilled, kind, thoughtful, and he listens. I've gone to some offices where I was run through quickly, and as a competitive athlete that doesn't work for me - I am too needy! :) Not so with Dr. Silverio - he understands that even a common pain to the masses is a special pain to the person experiencing it, and he dedicates the right amount of time, effort and patient education to the treatment to advance the healing. Caring and he gets results. I have had two back surgeries, and was a little concerned about re injury. There was very little traditional adjustments done. His other modalities are non force and they work. After every treatment I felt like I was literally floating down the sidewalk. He intuitively knows where the problem points are and addresses them. I have not tried the chiropractor. However the massage was literally the best I ever had. The therapist name was Nidia. She "unstuck" areas that I didnt even know were stuck. I referred friends and family to her. Every person I sent there started to see her on a regular basis. I am VERY PICKY. This therapist is amazing. Unfortunately Nidia no longer works there. I tried the two other therapists they have. There was a male and a female. They were both ok but pale in comparison to Nidia. They say she might come back. If she ever comes back or if anyone knows where she is now, please let me know. :) read more

So this is my first time ever seeking chiropractic treatment. I'm a 3D designer and spend a lot of time on my computer. As a result, I had developed lower back pains ( sounds like bubble wrap when ever I bend over), and pains in the right side of my neck.
