The extraction was not completed, the tooth remained in place, I required an oral surgeon to remove it, and this office is demanding payment. I was left in severe pain with the tooth still in place and ultimately had to see an oral surgeon to finish the procedure. The oral surgeon expressed surprise that the original extraction had been attempted under those circumstances. Despite not completing the extraction, this office is still demanding payment and threatening to send the bill to collections. This was an extremely painful, stressful, and disappointing experience. I got my insurance company involved and one of the insurance representatives even said to their office that their system was giving incorrect information and the office said, "we've never had an issue so" (clearly they have given other reviews, also totally unprofessional) and they offered zero help in solving this billing issue. I completely trust his suggestions in that he's thinking what is best for me and not for what's best for him. Also due to the errors my previous dentists caused, I had an extremely painful emergency. He rushed to his office on his day off to meet me there in tears to fix the problem right away. To be so I think would warrant different policies. Personally my CPTSD AND TRAUMA were made worse with the pressure and threats this office gives. First they pressure you to make appointments, don't listen to your schedule needs. In my last visit Dr. Dickerson was 20 minutes late for my appointment and then I was treated like there not being enough time to fix my tooth correctly was my fault. I came to feel that offices cannot be both trauma informed and gaslight, threaten and scapegoat the patient. It would benefit the staff to research about narcicism and narcicistic abuse so as to understand the trauma that already exists and what being egotistical maniacs that only seek money creates in society. A dentist shouldn't be so arrogant that they don't take into consideration the thoughts emotions and perspective of their patient.
