The next day, still no phone call. At 2 pm, I called to check in. They told me the inspection still wasn't done because the guy was still at the other site. I calmly asked if they had called him to let him know my car was waiting. The response I got was, "You can come pick up your car!" I was stunned. I said I never said I needed the car! I was simply wondering why it was taking two days. This experience felt incredibly unprofessional. No communication, no urgency, and an attitude on top of it. And here's the kicker: I paid $65 for them to "attach" the skid plate. I drove home (two miles away) and immediately heard it dragging. I called them, and they said, "You need a new skid plate!" That may be true, but I should be refunded because whatever they did clearly didn't hold. I took pictures of their so-called repair: two zip ties. That's right! $65 for two zip ties that didn't even last two miles. They had my car for two days, with a lift, full view, tools, and my money, and this was the result. On top of that, the attitude I received was unbelievable. Buyer beware Especially women beware!

I was worried because my vehicle's inspection is about to expire and he told me that VA has a 4 month grace period for expired inspection stickers and even wrote it at the back of his business card just in case I have to go inside a military base. Next, I reiterated the situation, about the fire, driving 4 hrs & said, as a business owner myself I have absolutely gone well out of my way to help someone in a "situation" & asked her to please ask someone else & to pls squeeze us in. My suggestion was that she should not be so belligerent to customers as I audio recorded her I said "What if ppl heard the way you speak to ppl, if it were posted on the Internet" She said she would write mean things about my business, EVEN THO SHE'D NEVER USED MY BUSINESS." Brought my car in because I could see oil around the valve cover gasket. Asked them to look it over…read moreand verify. They charged me $30 to look at t and provided an a free vehicle look over on other things. They let me know that it was indeed leaking and found an additional leak. They sent me a quote and I was flabbergasted at the price. The first original leak repair was quoted for $2,700. They did find another leak that would cost me an additional $1500 to repair . Way more than I was planning. I talked to a gearhead at my work and he said absolutely do not pay that. He said they do this to women, unfortunately. I talked to two other local shops who quoted me for everything on the original repair for $800 and $1100. Those quotes were for everything 17th Street was going to do for $2,700. I hate that companies do this. The icing on the cake was that when I drove my car home, I popped the hood and they didn't even attach the cover to the motor. It was just laying cockeyed on the top. It makes me question what else they didn't reinstall after looking over my car.

When I returned, they replaced only one front rotor under warranty. After a third visit for the same braking noise/vibration, I was told the problem was my rear brakes, even though those had been replaced only three months earlier at another shop. I then went to three independent shops, and all confirmed the real issue was a warped front rotor (the one not replaced the second time I brought it in). This should've been fixed the second or third time I brought it in. Instead they shifted blame to another shop, in which their work was confirmed to be fine. And for the price I paid, I shouldn't have had to bring it in multiple times for the same issue. Still after three visits and over $1,300 spent, my issue was still not properly fixed. The only good thing about this experience was that it was under warranty, and another shop was able to fix my brakes properly. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before trusting this shop, and if possible save your time and go elsewhere.
