    Wisconsin mac and cheese

I have to give credit where credit is due: This place has the best mac and cheese bowl in town, and I've tried mac and cheese variations everywhere in Rochester -- from the expensive hipster joints and restaurant bars all the way to KFC on the other end of the spectrum, lol. The other dishes are very good as well. My wife likes the Japanese pan noodles and the pad thai, though I admittedly never buy anything else but the mac and cheese for myself. Buttered noodles would probably be a hit for that finicky toddler/child in your family. In my experience, the two locations in town are pretty much the same and you can't go wrong with either one of them!

I am addicted to this place! I absolutely love their Parmasen-Crusted Chicken Breast Penne Rosa. That's the only thing I would get. I had tried their Pad Thai and it was horrible! Yuck. Don't even bother try getting it. Their pop machine (soda) is insane! It's like a future soda machine. This place is fast! The staffs are friendly. Free parking.

It's ok for someone that's craving noodles. The buttered noodles are just in oil not butter... other than that it was good.

The whole family loves this place! The service is usually fast. The pasta dishes, veggie med sandwich and the noodles are excellent.

"It's a Sicilian message. It means Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes." (The Godfather)…read more At Sapori di Sicilia, the message is considerably more appetizing: "Eat the pasta and nobody gets hurt." Walking in for the first time, I half-expected owner Eric Mullen to greet me with cotton-stuffed cheeks and a brooding stare. Instead -- as one Yelp reviewer memorably noted -- Eric looks like he's straight out of Super Mario, more likely to trade you a heavenly mocha for three gold coins than make you an offer you can't refuse. After a four-month pilgrimage to Italy in 2018 to learn the art of Sicilian cooking, Mullen returned to Winona and opened Sapori in 2020, filling a gap in the local food scene roughly the size of a horse head in a mobster's bed. The city desperately needed authentic Italian food, and Sapori delivered. No favors owed. No strings attached. *This time.* Everything here is made by hand: pasta, sauces, bread, pastries, and the gelato. The whole operation, with no shortcuts. The Bronze-cut Pasta: It clings to the sauce with the loyalty of a wartime consigliere who knows exactly where the bodies are buried. The pistachio pesto stands out, though it could use a touch more olive oil or pasta water. A minor grievance that doesn't warrant a trip to the river bottom in concrete shoes. The Pastries and Cakes: Genuinely dangerous. The Mascarpone cheesecake and chocolate cake slice are to die for -- and I mean that in the most Sicilian sense possible. Eat them. Tell no one. The Gelato: Should be under federal investigation. Light, creamy, and so authentically Italian it practically has its own accent. The pale green pistachio is rich, nutty, and deeply serious about its heritage. The Vibe: Warm. Hospitable. A real hit, but with zero cleanup crews required. The Verdict: Leave the gun. And for the love of all that is holy, take the cake and gelato too. You don't need a passport, a secret handshake, or a letter of introduction from a guy who knows a guy. Just show up hungry and show the proper respect.

Food was very good and authentic. The in house made breads and pastas were the star of the show!…read more The atmosphere is very comfortable and quaint. The service was great, we had a party of 12 and they accommodated us with great attention. Definitely recommend the gelato for dessert as well as a beautifully made cannoli enjoyed with a macchiato.

And the food...simply the best we've enjoyed in Mason City. Dry-rub wings appetizer (lemon pepper and mesquite) were generously sized and entirely delectable. NY strip with mashed potato, asparagus and mushroom demi was first-rate, top-drawer and perfectly prepared mid-rare. Legacy burger with sumptuous Gouda Mac and cheese was expertly grilled mid-rare and deliciously bacon-forward. And the crème brûlée was, to be honest, one of the best we've ever tasted. We visited on a slow Saturday so enjoyed the very pleasant quiet ambiance. Had such a great experience that we're headed back tomorrow morning for brunch knowing it will deliver another 10/10 dining adventure. Bistro Nineteen is a winner.

Was not impressed with the appetizer menu at all. Only 3 items. Ordered the Filet Migon. No bread, soup or salad served with your meal. You can order that for extra price. The steak came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I ordered mine rare and it was excellent. Flavor was great. 8 oz was a great size. Then on to dessert. They were out of the item we ordered, but the waitress brought a piece of cheesecake on the house since they were out. The only complaint was really the no bread or soup/salad served with the steak. Over all wonderful time and we will go back again.
